While out exploring Purple and Paladin Sapphire Heart discovered some burned-down homes and burned-down buildings.

The two entered a charred building and the two found a couple of memory orbs and Purple accessed the first one.

One hundred and ninety-seven years ago

twenty-two-year-old Sunrise Storm was at the town's restaurant eating lunch where she's know that the town's doctor had been staring at her butt.

"If you want to stare at my ass you have to buy me dinner more than once," said Sunrise Storm, "Also, my ass is off-limits."

The dark green unicorn with the Star of life cutie mark asked Sunrise Storm out on a date this night because it's Friday night and she accepted.

After lunch Sunrise Storm went back to the one-room schoolhouse. She's a teacher because her career in the Equestrian Navy ended when the Last Day occurred. But Sunrise Storm decided to be a teacher so they don't have to go through this again.

The sad thing is that her adoptive parents didn't make it where they were killed during the Megaspell blasts.

Back in the present day.

"I guess she had a special somepony or a lover," said Purple.

Purple then used his magic to access another one.

One hundred and ninety-seven years ago

At the restaurant, Sunrise Storm walked over to an empty table and sat down, and waited for her date to show. The town doctor did and sat down across from her.

The dark green unicorn told Sunrise Storm that she's adorable in the candlelight and she told him that he's just saying that. But he told her that she's the most amazing-looking mare he saw.

They had their date and it ended with a lovely stroll throughout the town in the moonlight but they both wish for days to go back before "The Last Day" and have a normal life.

The doctor even told Sunrise Storm that he wishes he was in Canterlot when the Balefire bombs hit because his parents were there not adding that his sister went into labor the minute "The last day" occurred and she died in the hospital giving birth.

He doesn't know that they died by Pink cloud which Zebra agents had in Canterlot which was released after the shield went up to protect Canterlot from the incoming Balefire bombs.

The doctor started to cry because he couldn't save his family during "The Last Day" but Sunrise Storm said, "It's alright they're in a better place. At least you have me."

Sunrise Storm then gave him a small kiss on the cheek.

Back in the present day.

Purple found another memory orb and used his magic to access it.

One hundred and ninety-seven years ago.

In townhall.

"Do you Sunrise Storm take Doctor. Needle Stitching to be your husband?" asked the mayor.

"I do," said Sunrise Storm

"Do you Doctor. Needle Stitching take Sunrise Storm to be your wife?" asked the mayor.

"I do," said Doctor Needle Stitching

The two kissed before the mayor said, "I now pronounce you husband and wife"

In Sunrise Storm's house, Doctor Needle Stitching moved in because his house was too small. But Sunrise Storm shared some good news and that was she's pregnant. Doctor. Needle Stitching dropped a box of what he had and hugged Sunrise Storm.

Sunrise Storm helped him get settled in.

"I guess she had a pretty happy life," said Purple.

"What's that Purple?" said Paladin Sapphire Heart, "Are you sad that she had a life she didn't tell you about?"

Purple replied, "I'm sad that she's gone. She was the best pony I had I actually had a few dreams of after defeating the GPE that we go and live on a farm somewhere and have a couple of foals. But at least she can rest easy now and not worry."

Paladin Sapphire then gave Purple another memory orb which was the final one and he accessed it.

One hundred and ninety years ago.

Sunrise Storm was walking and came back from exploring the wasteland.

Sunrise saw buildings burnt down in the settlement and she galloped home which was a pile of rubble.

The twenty-nine-year-old mare was deeply saddened to see her husband and three kids killed. The wenge brown unicorn with blue eyes and Bubblegum and Orchid pink hair and tail sat down and started to cry.

"It's time to move on Sunrise," said Sunrise to herself, "Can't be here forever. Maybe I'll find somepony else and watch over them."

Back in the present day

"I can see why she was sad but excited to travel with me," said Purple, "At least she doesn't have to worry about me or us anymore."

"She's reunited with her family." said Paladin Sapphire, "She's in a better place reunited with her husband and kids in the afterlife."

The two then saw some skeletons on the ground and Purple paid his respects to Sunrise Storm's deceased husband, colt, and two fillies. Then he left to go cry in private.

Paladin Sapphire continued to roam of what was a town that was only had fourteen homes, a town hall, a jail/sheriff's station, and a medical station which all of them were burnt down and had skeletons in it and the homes were filled with skeletons of what were families.

Paladin Sapphire was even deeply saddening of seeing the remains of what were families got massacred either by raiders or alicorns. But Paladin Sapphire doesn't know that Alicorns didn't start to appear until a decade ago.

"Sunrise claimed she's an artificial alicorn." said Paladin Sapphire, "Maybe an Alicorn examined her brain and took her memories and took her identity. Maybe she went to an I.M.P. Facility and fell in. Or maybe the Equestrian Government created a Super Soldier Pony Serum to create Alicorns for the military and she volunteered? Who knows."

The duo then went and continued to explore the wasteland.

"So Purple?" said Paladin Sapphire, "If you have to choose between me or that Enclave mare that has a crush on you who would you choose?"

Purple replied, "Well you two have a background in the military. Honey Cake is a leader and you're not no offense. She commands a small army and you don't so she has leadership points there. You have a Novasurge rifle and she has a custom-made Plasma pistol. You're a unicorn and she's a pegasus. You have a name of a gemstone in your name but she doesn't. Honestly, I don't know. I just want to have a special somepony but just not yet."

"Why?" asked Paladin Sapphire.

"I don't want my brother to find out." said Purple, "If he finds out he'll scare her away, and if she and I do have a foal. He'll probably kidnap it and raise it as his own if not kill when the foal turns 18. If it's a mare/daughter she and I have. Well, she's going to be my brother's play toy. I actually want a daughter especially with a gemstone in it."

They soon came across an old I.M.P. facility and entered it.

Inside.

"We could use Sunrise right about now," said Paladin Sapphire.

"We need her to lighten the mood," said Purple, "But we have to do what we can do without."

They saw a big hideous and grotesque creature about half the size of a wagon, with some scales and is horrendously disfigured, possessing multi-jointed awkwardly proportioned limbs with sickle-shaped claws.

It charged at them where Purple fired his 7.62mm Battle Rifle and Paladin Sapphire fired her Novasurge rifle at it and killed it.

"Ugly fucker." said Paladin Sapphire, "One of these creatures implanted an egg or something in me back at Fort Constellation. When we were searching for the superweapons that were being made to win the war but the Balefire bombs hit first before they could be produced on the platoon level or so."

"This would be a good time for a flamethrower", Purple replied, "No wait. My brother. Use him as a shield."

"You two need to get along and stop trying to have a pissing contest on who's the better pony." said Paladin Sapphire, "Is everything between you a "Big brother little brother you broke my Giddyup Applejack and I'm still pissed off at you games"? I mean come on. Can you two just stop fighting and settle your differences that don't end in bloodshed?"

Purple replied, "He won't. Until I'm either dead or retreat with my tail between my legs galloping away. Honestly, I don't care what happens to my brother. I don't care if he runs to Fillydelphia and join Red Eye's army. His time is coming for karma to get him."

In the security room.

Purple opened a weapon locker by lockpicking it and he whistled.

They saw some double-barrel shotguns, IF-9 Combat Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, Assault Rifles, Submachine Guns, Scoped Assault Rifles, Automatic Rifles, Missile Launchers, Minigun, Grenade Machinegun, Rocket Launcher, Magical Energy Rifle, Magical Energy Shotgun, 10mm pistols, 9mm pistols, 9mm SMG's, 10mm SMG's, .30 Caliber Medium Machine Gun, .50 Caliber Heavy Machine Gun, Trench Knives, Bayonets, .45 Revolvers, .30-06 Semi-auto rifles, 7.62mm Battle Rifles, .30-06 Bolt-action rifle and .276 Semiautomatic rifles.

"Big gun doesn't leave a small mess." said Purple, "Big gun is mines."

Purple then used his magic and picked up the minigun but also added the, .30 Caliber Machine Gun, .50 Caliber machine gun, a Trench Knife, A Bayonet, a .45 Revolver, a .30-06 Semi-automatic rifle, and an IF-9 Combat Shotgun but equipped the minigun.

Paladin Sapphire just picked up a .30-06 Bolt-action rifle, and a Magical Energy RIfle.

They went out and killed more and more of those creatures until they found an empty cell and found a holotape where Purple played it.

"This is Sunrise Storm. It's been twenty-five years since my husband and kids were murdered." said Sunrise Storm, "I was 29 when they were killed and I'm 47. I deeply miss my husband Doctor. Needle Stitching and out three kids our daughter Sunset Healer, daughter Midnight Stethoscope, and son Morning Healing. I wish I could go back in time and spend their final moments with them before they were killed by Raiders. I think raiders. Maybe slavers. I don't know who I just want them back to hold them, hug them, and tell them that I love them. I would do anything to see them one more time."

The holotape ended and they entered a room with vats of Impelled Metamorphosis Potion and they found a memory orb and Paladin Sapphire used it where it's the view of another pony who tried to save Sunrise Storm but a part of the catwalk gave and the pony fell in where Sunrise Storm was leaning against a railing and it snapped.

Sunrise storm hung on until she couldn't and she fell into the I.M.P. so did the pony an earth pony fell in.

Paladin Sapphire told Purple how Sunrise Storm turned into an alicorn. Purple was still sad about the loss of Sunrise because she was his true friend and she was Purple's secret lover and admirer but she knows that a relationship with Purple wouldn't work out.

On the way back to the town of Crimson, Purple, and Paladin Sapphire ran across Hellhounds, Feral Ghouls, Alicorns, Mole Rats, Radroaches, vicious dogs, Radhogs (which terrify Purple for how scary they look), Boatsprites, some raiders, some GPE members under Base's command, and a group of ponies calling themselves "The Tax Collectors" and they want ponies to pay them a hefty price.

Purple just went to bed even though it's 6:40 PM but knew that Midnight Twister has a handle on things of defeating a few brigades with each having 3500 Grand Pegasus Enclave soldiers (14000) in total vs Midnight Twister's platoon of 29 (adding him it's 30).

While sleeping Purple had a dream where his mother leaves the Stable and stays in the town of Crimson with him and his friends but Harp gets very excited when Purple gets married and in his dream, it's Paladin Sapphire and they have a few kids and she's happy to be a grandmother.

Purple got out of bed and checked his Pip-buck where it's 9:30 PM but had a vision of Sunrise Storm as a unicorn.

"I know Purple." said Sunrise Storm, "The good news is that I'm reunited with my family."

Sunrise Storm sees Purple wanting to cry.

"It's alright Purple." said Sunrise, "Don't cry. Purple I wanted to tell you before I died and that is I love you and I hoped we would be a couple but we both know it wouldn't work out. I was immortal and I would see our kids grow up and die and their kids grow up and die and so on and so forth. Also, I know you're going through the trauma of seeing all this bloodshed. Reading about the Littlehorn massacre in the history books is one thing but seeing bloodshed is another. Before the war broke out there were military skirmishes along the border then all hell broke loose when the Littlehorn Massacre happened where all but one Zebra was killed and that one Zebra went in and released Pink cloud into it. Killed everypony even the ones who weren't old enough to receive their cutie marks."

Sunrise Storm told Purple to take care and two watch the others over for her and Purple responded, "Take care Sunrise. You'll always be missed."

Sunrise Storm smiled and she nodded before vanishing into thin air back into the Afterlife where she reunited with her husband and three kids.

In the morning, Purple built a memorial building and the plaque outside of it says "SUNRISE STORM MEMORIAL BUILDING" and a plaque thing inside has Sunrise Storm being the first officer to be killed.

"Sleep tight friend." said Purple, "You deserve it."

Rocky Road, Midnight Twister, the GPE Specialist, and Paladin Sapphire walked in and they all gave Purple a hug at once. But Purple cried onto Midnight Twister because he was the only one hugging Purple from the front.

"It's alright Purple we're here for you." said Midnight Twister, "You're brother's going to pay for this. Sunrise she wouldn't hurt a fly unless if she had to. There there Purple just let it all out."

"She was the one that kept us together even when we were separated." said Rocky Road, "She... Well, Sunrise will I'm glad that we didn't shoot her at our first meeting but she was kind and tried her best to make us breakfast and dinner while we were out in the wasteland even though she was a terrible cook but at least she tried and she was the most important pony in this group."

Paladin Sapphire and the Grand Pegasus Enclave Specialist mare kept their mouths shut because they didn't want to say something that would offend Purple and one of them would've gotten hit by somepony else.

Everypony else left while Midnight Twister just hugged Purple and let Purple cry on him.
