Final: We Formed a party with a random player and now were maxed level
Chapter 2 Bruce the hungry
Previous ChapterThe young six smiled happily as they logged into the game; for a moment they were surrounded by nothing but a white void. Only to have it quickly change to the inside of their guild inside the game. They looked around and smiled.
Gallus called out, “Tog, you here?!” He was answered with silence, “Tog?”
Silverstream looked around noticing a letter icon on one of the couches. She spoke, “Hey, look. He left a note.”
They gathered around the note as she tapped on the icon. It opened revealing the message, “Hey, guys. I'm gonna be in the desert area of the neutral zone for a little while. Don't come out my way I'll meet up with y'all in the city. Before any of you ask why there; I need all of you to head there. While all of you were out I asked a blacksmith in town to make all of you new weapons and armor.” they looked at each other and smiled in excitement as Silverstream finished reading the message, “I'll see you there.....Tog The Moron.”
All of them laughed as she put away the message. Ocellus pulled up her map and marked the city in the zone. Sandbar spoke, “This is gonna be so cool.”
They nodded in agreement and started making their way to the city. They walked through the forest; encountering and easily defeating the monsters that lived there. To say they liked the idea of being immortal in game was a huge understatement. Any monster that attacked them stood no chance against them. Gallus would one shot them with his bow. Sandbar would hack and slash through hordes like they were water. Ocellus had already came up with various spell chains and combos. Yona, she was pretty much a walking train. Anything that stood in front of her was launched into the air or through a tree. Smolder was pretty much the more effective version of Sandbar. Silverstream, if the game had a way to make kabobs out of monsters. She would be a monster chef.
Eventually they reached the city; it was filled with players from the clans. They could see them staring at them. Whispering things about them; Sandbar could hear exactly what they were saying. Thanks to the max eavesdrop skill he had acquired. He heard “We gotta report this.” “The capture team was right. There are other maxed ones.”. He shook his head clear of the thoughts and the party continued walking to the blacksmith shop.
Ocellus spoke, “I think that's it on the left.”
They all looked and saw a shop with a flag that had a hammer and anvil. They made their way to the shop and entered; hearing a bell as they opened the door. They noticed all of the various weapons and armors. Two other players walked out; both of them human players with dragon avatars.
One of them greeted, “Hello.”
The other followed, “Welcome to our shop.”
They noticed the two and walked towards them. The one who spoke first recognized them immediately and said, “Ah, so you are the ones' Tog mentioned.”
Ocellus nodded and replied, “Yes,” She continued, “Tog said that he had asked you to make us some weapons and armor.”
The other nodded, “Yep,” Both of them smiled and spoke at once, “But, all of you have to get us the last bit of material that we need.”
All of them responded, “Huh?”
Both players giggled a little as they began to explain. Unaware to the group; there was a player just outside the shop listening in on their conversation with the twins. They had their fingers on the door; using their eavesdrop skill to gather information. When they heard the group walking to the door. They retreated to a nearby ally and watched as the group left the shop. A message icon appeared in front of them.
It read “Report!”
They typed, “The new max's are on the move. They are heading to that dungeon with the 9990 level requirement..” They waited patiently for a message to arrive. They didn't have to wait long; the only problem was it read, “NO PEEKING IT'S RUDE!” The image of a spell then appeared in front of them.
The player only had time to say, “Oh, S-!” The player was then taken out by a magical explosion.
In a field close to the town; Tog walked out of a Maniac clan's tent. He had already taken out their recon party and had intercepted their message. He smiled as he collected the loot he earned. A voice then called out to him, “Did you really have to do this to me again?!”
He looked over at the flag pole; at the top of it was a player who was hanging by their feet. He laughed a little as he replied, “Hey, just remember you got it easy. I ate the leader of your group.”
The player responded, “True, but you know I don't like this.”
Tog replied, “I know. That's what makes this so funny,”He then picked up a random rock; using his sharpen skill. He fashioned it into a small stone dagger. With the weapon in hand he aimed it at the player on the flag pole. He then said, “Just because I'm feeling generous; where do you want it?”
The player sighed before answering, “Can you-.” The player yelled out in pain as the dagger stabbed into the avatars groin.
Tog laughed as the player disappeared and headed for the respawn area of their clan. He then opened his inventory and brought out his eye-mirror. He gazed into the glass and saw his friends making their way to the dungeon. He smiled as memories of his first time in that dungeon came flooding back. After a good while of reminiscing of the old times; an alert popped up on his HUD. It caused him to sighed.
He whined, “Again.”
The group stood calmly at the entrance of the dungeon; It looked almost like the dungeon they explored yesterday with Tog. It appeared like a regular old cave but they did not know what was in store for them inside. They looked at one another and nodded before they entered the cave. At first they just walked down a long dark passage-way. That was before they each felt water at their feet.
Sandbar asked, “Is this dungeon filled with water?”
Ocellus suddenly chanted a spell, “Yaw ruo thgil esaelp.” An orb of light appeared above her forehead. It glowed a magnificent blue light; which illuminated the dungeon they were in. It allowed them to see the standing water on the floor of the cave. She replied, “Yes,” They looked further down the path; noticing that the water appeared to get deeper. She then continued, “Yes, this dungeon is filled.”
Gallus suddenly shouted as he slipped on a part of the floor that was covered in slick algae. The others couldn't help but laugh at his misfortune; as he glared at all of them and finished the sentence, “With......water.” He spat some of the water that had managed to get into his mouth.
The group continued down the passage-way eventually reaching the first room of the dungeon. Ocellus called them, “Okay, everyone, gather round.” The each formed a small circle. Smolder opened her inventory and took out a blank map. She asked, “Is this going to work Ocellus?”
She answered, “Possibly,” She looked at Gallus and Sandbar and asked them, “Do you think you two can keep us covered?” They nodded and readied their weapons.
Ocellus then held her left hoof over the map and began to chant a spell. She repeated five times, “Su stiawa taht drawer eht dna ssob eht ot su deal. Noegnud siht fo pam a su dliub.”
The map glowed brightly and after the end of the fifth chant. It stopped glowing; allowing Smolder to grab hold of it again. She smiled before saying happily, “It worked!” She showed all of them. It was now a completed map of the entire dungeon.
It showed everything the dungeon had hidden inside of it. It had ten common treasures, five rare treasures, six unique and mystery treasures, and the boss room held the best prize of all. The O.O.A.K. Treasure. (One.Of.A.Kind.). They looked at each other and smiled before they got into formation. Yona and Silverstream lead the team. Gallus, Sandbar, and Smolder surrounded Ocellus; while she placed protective spells around them.
Yona yelled out as she charged forward at a group of monsters'. The moment she made contact with them they disappeared. For, the first few floors Yona lead the way; she was pretty much an indestructible battering ram. The others couldn't help but laugh as the monsters were sent flying. Sometimes they would be knocked to the ground and she would trample them; those that still had H.P. Were taken out by the remainder of the group who protected Ocellus.
Silverstream suddenly shouted, “Yona, let me up front!”
Yona nodded and switched with her. Silverstream held her spear tightly as she charged forward at the next group of monsters. She smiled as the tip of her spear glowed a bright yellow. Then, in a flasher her character sprinted forward. The creatures were impaled and driven into each other; just before she hit the wall at the end. She had not only impaled them but crushed them. She then saw what appeared to be a giant piranha swimming towards her. It lept at her teeth barred and ready to tear her to pieces. Only to be stuck to the wall by one of Gallu's arrows.
She turned and thanked him, “Thanks Gallus.”
He nodded as the group continued deeper into the dungeon. They eventually reached the boss room. They stood calmly at the entrance; their health was full and they still had plenty of potions. They looked at one another. Nodding before they pushed open the door; only to have water suddenly rush out of the room. They were overtaken by the surge; it scattered them about before it pulled them into the room. They floated in a pitch black void. There was no noise or light. Then, in a flash of mixed color the boss shot right by them. It was a shark made of crystals; above it's head floated it's name. “Bruce, The Hungry”.
Ocellus yelled, “Get close to me now!”
The group did as she instructed and when they were close enough. She shouted, “Won us dnefed dleihs ythgim!” The shark lunged at them only to crash right into a force shield. She shouted, “Eof ythgim ruo nwod ekirts dna yawa erif smaeb lacigam!” From her wand seven magical orbs appeared and began to circle them. As the boss circled around the orbs fired magical beams at it. Three of them missed but the others made contact. It roared out as half of it's health was taken out. The crystals on it's dorsal fin began to glow. Only to have multiple crystals fire out and at them. The crystals hit the shield; causing multiple cracks to appear on it.
Gallus drew back his bowstring and aimed an arrow at it. He then asked, “Ocellus, wanna try that combo we talked about on the way here?”
She nodded and instructed, “Smolder, Sandbar, Silverstream, get your weapons ready!” The nodded and readied themselves as Gallus began to charge up his shot. Ocellus chanted, “Sroirraw derehtet! Traeh eht ekirts dna hgourht ecreip! Worra lacigam eurt ylf!” The shield then dropped and Gallus sent the arrow. In a bright flash the three were sent into the arrow. The boss turned and lunged at them again; but as the arrow was half way to him. It burst open and the three delivered critical hits to it. It roared loudly before it faded away in a burst of colors.
They smiled happily as they regrouped only to cover their eyes as they were surrounded by a bright light. After a few seconds they opened their eyes and saw that the room they were in was a beautiful underwater crystal room. The crystal shimmered like stars in a night sky. Various cave dwelling fishes swam around them. Their scales shimmering in the light as they swam close to the crystals. As the group marveled at the beauty of the room. They noticed something at the bottom of the cave. It was a huge crystal formation and in the center of it was a large chest. They swam down towards it and opened it.
A hunting group cried out as they were crushed beneath a massive tree. Tog yelled, “TIMBER!” He listened as his voice echoed through the forest. After a moment he began to think before he asked himself, “Was I supposed to yell that before I cut the tree down?” He thought a little bit more before he continued, “But, if I yelled it before I cut down the tree. I would alert the hunters after me,” He paused a moment before shaking his head, “No, no, It's after. After feels right.” He nodded just before receiving a message alert. He opened it.
It read “Tog, we just got our gear! You need to come see us now! We look amazing!......Silverstream.” He rolled his eyes as he commented, “How many times do I have to tell her to not use her real name.”
He chuckled a little at her newness to the rules of MMO's. He then pulled out a scroll and lit it on fire. In a flash of flames he was teleported into the shop. He could hear the twins comment, “We knew he was going to do that! We hate it when he does that!” He couldn't help but laugh as the flames died down. He asked as he turned, “So how did it go?” He got his answer when he saw how they looked.
Gallus now wore mythril clothing and a death shadow robe. Smolder was equipped with crystal armor and was armed with a diamond sword. Sandbar wore ghosts robes and the nightfall cloak. Yona was equipped with the memories of the berserker's. A shield made of diamond and spiked dangerously. The armor she wore was the heaven and earth set. A powerful armor for those specializing as a great shielder. Silverstream was equipped with the chain-male of the old world and the spear of agut. And, Ocellus she wore the magical robes of the enlightened and she was equipped with the prism crystal wand.
He smiled before he commented, “Now that suits y'all better than the starting gear.” He laughed a little as they smiled at him. He turned and looked at the twins, “Nice job as always twins.” He saw them glaring at him; he knew that glare. After all how many times did he burn a small part of their shop whenever he would use the flame teleport spell. Before they could say anything; he quickly got all of them out of the shop.
As they walked Sandbar commented, “Wow, all of us look nice in this gear.”
Tog laughed before correcting him, “No, no, no, Sandbar it is not nice. It's kickin.”
Sandbar looked at him slightly confused before he asked, “Kickin?”
Tog nodded as he explained, “Yeah, you know. Radical, groovy, far out, logic bustin the code.” The looks on their faces provided all the answers he needed. He commented before saying, “Gotta teach them the talk,” He then clarified, “It mean's you all look awesome.”
They all replied, “Oh,”
Ocellus then asked, “Then why didn't you just say that?”
He replied, “I did. I just said it in my own.”
A large tree then fell on top of them. It splintered and disappeared on impact; Tog already had his hand on his face. Before he yelled out, “Please, tell me you did not just use number five-hundred and seventy-seven on us!” He turned and looked and the others followed. Up on the ridge above was another hunting party. Most of it's members looked completely stunned; all except for the leader.
The leader of the group yelled down, “Hey, you started this!”
Tog yelled back, “Hammer DOW-nnnn, is that you?!”
It was silent for a moment before they heard a pathetic attempt to disguise a voice, “No!”
Tog yelled back, “Number eighty-eight! Start running!”
Hammer had a look of horror come upon his face. He then broke out into a full sprint as he shouted, “NO, NOT NUMBER EIGHTY-EIGHT AGAIN!”
The other hunters heard Tog yell, “THE REST OF YOU NUMBER TEN! AND, I KNOW HALF OF YOU HAVE BEEN THROUGH IT! SO, YEAH, YOU'RE GONNA WANT TO PREPARE THEM AGAIN!”
The remaining hunters screamed and took off running after their leader. Before Tog gave chase Silverstream asked, “Um, Tog what are you about to do.”
He answered, “I'm about to pull off a Scream and an Evil dead crossover. I really don't want any of you to see this; so please go back to base.”
He was about to jump up to the ridge but was stopped by Smolder. Before he could tell her to move; he caught the look in her eyes. They were mirrored by the others and he couldn't help but smile wickedly. Hammer ran as fast as he could; he heard the other screaming as their characters were killed. Many thoughts ran through his mind. But, the number one thought he had was getting the heck out of there. It was then his foot was caught by something slimy. He screamed as he was pulled the ground and pulled backwards. He cried out, begged, he even promised to never do anything like that again. But, his pleas fell on deaf ears as he was lifted up into the air. Only to come face to face with a monster made of black slime. He gazed into his deformed eye; it was almost like looking into a mirror.
He begged, “Please, don't.”
The monster spoke in a sickening voice, “Number eighty-eight 2.0!”
Before he could scream another tentacle was shoved all the way down his throat and out through the other side of his avatar. The monster then opened his mouth; revealing countless rows of sharp teeth. Like a corn on the cob the player was eaten. The creature only taking three bites before slamming him down onto the floor. Laughing as the player disappeared and was sent back to the respawn. The monster continued to laugh as a bright glow surrounded it. When the glow stopped it was revealed to be all of them standing on top of one another. Tog stood on top of the stack; all of them were laughing like maniacs. Before they fell on top of one another.
Tog laughed out, “That,” he had to stop a moment so that his character could breath; only to continue laughing some more, “had to be.....the best “bustin the code” moment every!”
Smolder nodded her head as she wiped away some virtual tears, “Ocellus, I cannot believe you came up with that!”
Gallus commented, “Yeah, who knew best in the class was so devious.”
Tog quickly spoke up, “Careful, Gallus, that can be easily taken the wrong way.”
Before Gallus could ask Silverstream spoke in a fit of laughter, “I can't believe that we could fit that many inside our mouth!” She then commented on the taste(-My friend IRL dared me to put this next part in...........yeah, he's the reason why we have this on the internet-) “That had to be the most sweetest tasting meat I ever had in my mouth!”
Tog went stone wall before saying, “You just doomed yourself!” Before he started rolling on the ground laughing.
The group looked at him in slight confusion. Before Ocellus added, “What do you mean? It was sweet; didn't we all get a taste of it?” They nodded.
Tog only continued to laugh as he said, “No, Ocellus don't you're gonna make it worse.”
Sandbar commented, “Well, in my opinion it did taste a little salty at the end,” He grimaced as he remembered the sudden taste of iron, “You guys don't think that stuff we swallowed.”
Tog suddenly pleaded, “STOP! STOP!” he continued to laugh uncontrollably before he begged some more, “PLEASE, NO MORE! DON'T TYPE ANYMORE! MY POOR LUNGS AND BRAIN CAN'T HANDLE IT!”
They all asked, “Handle what?!”
He quickly messaged all of them; by the time they were done reading the message all of them were as red as the apples professor Applejack grew. Tog continued to laugh; only to get dog-piled by all of them. They fought in a small cloud of dust only to stop when the realized that Tog was no where in that scrap.
He called out to them, “Hey guys,” The looked and saw him standing at the edge of a cliff, “You need to remember I'm!”
Gallus shot an arrow and all of them were sent inside of it. The moment it was just in front of Tog all of them burst from it. Each of them ready to grab hold of him. He couldn't help but smile as they all went over the side of the cliff.
He commented as they fell, “Now, they are learning.” He laughed like a mad man as they all fell down; only to land on and completely squash a small hunting party.
