Chapter 0: The Merchant and All For One.

I was an ordinary boy, I just liked things that a 17-year-old might like; Video games, parties, all that shit was one of my favorite things, but if I had to choose what I liked the most it would be, without a doubt, anime.

Even today I miss being able to just relax on my couch, turn on the TV, put on Netflix and watch some anime.

My favorite anime was Boku No Hero Academia. I loved everything about him, the characters, the drawing ... Everything.

Even to this day I can remember anime and manga so clearly that I am ashamed to say it, I can remember the characters, but I can hardly remember the faces of my friends or even my ... Brothers ...

I don't want to get nostalgic, so let's continue. My favorite characters were by far All Might and All For One, but All Might was my favorite of the two of them.

His ideal of justice, holding the weight of peace on your back, being backed by love and the biblical difference between your power and your enemy, the maturity with which he spoke in the anime and manga every time he was asked about his experiences , all that made him win my love as a fan, but what I loved the most was that, even at worst he didn't stop smiling, not even in his fight against AFO he could leave that smile behind.

However, I also had a soft spot for everything that All For One represented, how he manipulated everyone, how he fought, and he as his power was overwhelmingly greater than that of any other being in his serie, which, nothing else. It was countersigned due to the use of a damaged body. That made him my second favorite character.

So, like every kid who loved his show, when I got a chance to go to a convention, I took it.

I saved up for months for my costume, however due to my lifestyle and responsibilities I was unable to get in shape to dress as All Might so I decided to dress as All For One.

Once I raised the money, I went to the next convention that was in my city, it was going to be in a few months, but that gave me time to adjust the details in my suit / costume.

Over the days, I saved even more money from my part-time job as I tried to get in some exercise so I could look a little slimmer.

And so, with the exercise, and with the money saved, the promised day for me arrived. It took me a few hours to get ready; after all, this must have been perfect for me. I wanted to have the best possible suit.

... That was until I got to the convention, and realized that the mask that gave life support to AOF was broken at one of the joints. In a panic, I searched the entire convention to see if there was anything enough similar so that no one would notice it.

So, in a nutshell, I walked all over the place without the mask, just with the suit.

Or ... That was until I got to a position which, without a doubt, blew my mind at the time. There were the most exquisite pieces / replicas of anime objects that I had ever seen.

The stall was manned by someone dressed as the bloody merchant from Resident Evil, believe me when I tell you that if I had known what that bastard was I would have run for my life.

However, like a moron, I approached and saw a mask that, in a nutshell, was the same as AFO's, I was speechless, it was a perfect replica, even better than mine.

I remember how I bit my lower lip to hide my little annoyance that someone had the mask in an even better quality than mine, after all mine was made by hand and with a 3D printer, it cost a lot, but it was worth it .

However, the one on the counter, showing the beauty and exquisiteness of life support reproduction, was magnetic. I don't think I even experienced that effect on myself more than on that occasion, and maybe a few more, but that time I saw the mask ... It was as if we were two magnets, two pieces that fit together perfectly.

So, carefully, I approached and checked the price, I could not contain my surprise and amazement when I saw the price. It was absurdly cheap, too much, it seemed that this thing was a scam. But ... Carefully, I approached and realized that it was not, it was not some kind of scam, it was made of very good materials.

How do I know?

Have you seen the difference between a cheap control and an expensive one? Have you noticed that the cheap one has poor quality plastic, how the color is less saturated than the expensive one? The feeling of holding it? How did it feel?

It was the same, or rather, similar. Simply my intuition told me that I was looking at something that, in any other place, would have cost thousands of dollars, but that in this position was worth only 300 dollars and that, in some way, had a quality equal to or much better than that of professional companies specialized in this kind of thing.

I did not notice how the merchant approached me while he was watching the helmet.

"Are you interested in him? It's only three hundred dollars." He said kindly as he pointed to the helmet.

I automatically took out the money, gave it to him, and just took the helmet.

There was no visible reaction from me when I just did that, it was ... Natural.

It was a reaction that, for lack of words to explain it, I could only call it a reflex, a primal instinct.

There was not even an exchange of words, it was just a phrase and an action.

And that was what completed the invisible deal I was unknowingly part of.

The simple act of giving him the money was enough for him to be at the will of this Lovecraftian being.

It didn't take more than a few minutes since I bought the helmet in which I noticed that everyone around me was distorted.

Unable to beat the distortion, I blacked out.

And so ... It all began.
