Prologue-Blood, Iron, Snow, and Fire
{6 B.R}
Long ago in a distant land. A gryphon by the name Glory the Great conquered his own homeland of Griffonia, home of gryphon kind. It was in a state war for territory for hunting rights and rights of property. Glory was a simple hunter in his youth but was quickly filled with ambitions to gain power for himself. He quickly gained reputation as a great leader among his warband, and habits that made him into what he became. A tyrant, hero, thief, savior, and all sorts of good and bad things others say about a leader at first, good or evil.
He challenged those that had power and slayed those that challenge him. Allies flock to him while enemies appear on all sides to try and kill him. The cycle went on for years until the day he killed Gruff the Greedy. Gruff was King of the old Griffonia, the way that it was before. The reason many griffins were homeless, poor, savage, and very much primeval instead of cultured as they were meant to be. Gruff only cared about himself, spending his wealth on meat, females, and power above his lower griffins.
Glory then took up the throne after he slayed the former king and became King Glory the first of the now Griffonia Empire. The newfound king spent the wealth on new research developments to make better weapons, tools, scrolls and books. But his most crowning achievement was building a temple out of the finest limestone coin could buy. However, the citizens around him did not like the way he was reforming their way of life. At first, he tries reassuring them that this way was a new way to make things better and help build their nation into a culture unlike any other. But the griffins did not agree on his new ideals and rebelled against him. King Glory quickly gathered his newfound army and went straight to putting down the rebellions that appeared. One by one he managed to end them, but during one of his battles he was hit by an arrow to the eye on the right side. However, he did manage to survive this and came back to his castle with a missing right eye.
After he proved himself once again that he was a conqueror, the remaining rebels laid down their arms and pledge their allegiance to their king once and for all. Afterwards, he got builders and sculptors to start building his temple landmark.
6 years it took them, and six years took it’s toll on Glory. A few days after the temple was done, wealth and good food came through. Soon King Glory started a family with his new bride Queen Jewel, once a baron’s daughter before she was free from her father’s influence. Together they had a son named Bur, Prince Bur the second. The first few years were great. Griffins living in peace, right of property became a real thing, and the poor became equals to the rich. For once everything was right with the world. Until...A crisis.
It was Bur’s 13th birthday, the day he become more of a prince than a child. King Glory and his queen were so proud of their son’s descent into adulthood they never foreseen what happened next. Prince Bur caught a disease that made him pass out during the celebration. This shook everyone to the core as King Glory rushed to his son’s side followed by his queen holding on tight to his child.
Many days later, doctors from across the land did their best to heal the young prince but was fruitless. Their medicines had no effect, but only made the treatment worse. After a week of trying new methods, the young Prince Bur passed away. Queen Jewel felt devastated for her child that a one point, she was rocking a cradle-shaped nest that once kept her egg safe. It was empty, and she hadn’t slept in days after the tragedy. King Glory on the other hand was furious for what happened.
He blamed the doctors for not finding a cure for his son. Because of this, he ordered every single one of the doctors publicly executed by beheading them in the capital square. And thus, his reign of terror had begun. His queen was disgusted by her husband’s actions. She dared disagreed with him on public executions because of the downsides of killing the griffins with knowledge. He of course did not listen and continued killing those that he deemed traitor or rebel as he got older. His queen saw the monstrous side of her husband and decided to flee the country. However, before she got to the final checkpoint to where the border ends, she was captured and brought back to the castle.
King Glory was furious that his wife would leave him and sentence her to death by beheading. For plotting against him and conspiring with his enemies. Or so he claims. And in the end Queen Jewel met her end at the chopping block. After her death, King Glory went mad seeing his life is endanger. Jewel’s family own nearly half of the metal producing products in the nation. Now that she was executed by her husband, they began to rebel. Some others had the same idea, as they began taking the opportunity to take power.
For two months they plotted, two months of figuring out their king’s military power, they rose up against him. During the siege at King Glory’s castle, the old griffin was still fighting for his life while lying in bed. For you see, he was weak, and was not in good condition to lead or to rule. After the attackers broke into the castle, the old Griffonian passed away before the invaders can have their due.
In the end the whole thing started again. Factions were drawn, regions were carved out, and the land King Glory tried so hard to unite tore itself apart into the way it was before but worse. Bandits roamed the land or working for powerful griffons that held onto power for generations. After one gryphon’s life of progress of fighting to rebuild a nation, it comes undone with the spark of a revolution. And the cycle of chaos begins again.

It had been one thousand years since the Griffonia Empire fell apart. For now, Griffonia was renamed to Grifftopalos. Why? Cause the old empire had fallen, that’s why. Griffons that recorded that piece of history died before publishing to the world. It was lost to history as well, along with any information regarding the past itself. Now we’re in a dark age where school is not a thing, sandwiches weren’t invented yet, and somehow, they found a way to invent and use gunpowder besides swords and spears.
{In the ruined temple}
A mysterious cloaked figure rushed to the make a circular summoning ritual. This figure was a female, and a griffoness at that.
“{Chanting in Old Language} Please, old might Talon. I humbly beg thee.” The griffoness prayed before the door behind her knocked.
“Open up! We know you’re in there!” A male gruff voice demanded. The female stopped before continuing her chant.
“I pray for a way to save Grifftopalos from itself. May you summon forth a hero to aid us in our dying hour?”
*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*
“Open up in the name of Duke Quillenton! You are under arrest for sorcery!” The gruff voice said again, but this time the wooden door was being axed away. The female griffon went through with her summoning.
“If you require something of me, then it shall be done.” She then took out what looked like a necklace with jewelry on it. The griffoness placed it in the summoning circle, and then a blue light appeared.
During this, the door was finally chopped down. A group of armed griffons wearing armor, shields, swords, and muskets rushed in before seeing the blue light. The light was bright and was getting brighter. And then storm clouds formed from the sky. Just before anything else, the griffoness that was in the circle perished as a bolt of lightning hit her, but not before shedding a single tear from her face.
{After the summoning outside the temple}
A small group of griffon soldiers stood outside the now ruined temple. A griffon male dressed in royal clothing looked from his coach with see-long binoculars at the site.
“So, the witch has done it? Oh well, now we have nothing to fear now that she’s gone.” The griffon said. “Alright everyone, let’s head back! My nightly bath is almost up, and I hate not being cleaned.”
“At once my lord.” A random female griffon dressed in armor said while saluting her leader. Soon the group left the area.

I want to read more fics involving humans vs Equestria, or war that I can relate to, you know? If you guys can find me something; or better yet make one up for me, that be great.
This fanfic is dedicated to Damaskus Seraph. The original creator of the Gryphons Blade: Bannerlord. And I will improve this story overtime. But today, I want you to pay attention to me, and give me what I desire. Let’s call it a deal.
