Maretime Bay 9:00am
It was a bright sunny day in the city of Maretime Bay, the ponies of the town were all seen walking around the peaceful and happy town after the reunification years ago thanks to the heroic efforts of Sunny Starscout and her friends. Years later, the apricot coloured mare was married to the Maretime Bay sheriff Hitch Trailblazer and both of them have a son whom they named Chase Trailblazer whose close friend with Bright aka the son to Sprout Cloverleaf and Izzy Moonbow.
Some ponies of the city were seen walking to Maretime Bay elementary school where school teachers and staff members of the school guided them to the sports field stadium where they took seats where they all will have great views of their sons and daughters competing against each other in today's school sports match but only the ones who signed up for it,l. The sports match is called dodgeball. Sunny, Hitch, Sprout and Izzy were seen sitting right next to one another.
"I can hardly wait to see our son compete against other students in this dodgeball match!" Sunny exclaimed with enthusiasm.
"Me too Sunny, me too." Hitch agreed with a nod.
"Where is my little baby?" Izzy asked looking around the field for her son.
"He's probably still changing in the changing room Izzy, so, do not worry sweetie, you'll see him soon." Sprout told her as he nuzzled her cheek, and Izzy nuzzled back.
In the colt's changing room, there were five colts seen dressing up in blue sports uniforms that indicates their team is the blue team, and the other team that they were against is the red team that consists of five fillies. Two of the colt's in the room were Chase Trailblazer known as the son to Sunny and Hitch Trailblazer, and Bright Cloverleaf the son to Sprout and Izzy Cloverleaf.
"Yo Chase."
"Yes Bright?" Chase asked looking at his best friend.
"Are you feeling ready for this sports event?" He asked.
"Of course, I am, we practiced for a while with this event remember?" He asked and Bright nodded in response, "We just need to throw the ball at our opponents, and dodge it if they throw it back at us, we must dodge it, but, we would have to react fast and try to make the ball as aerodynamic as possible." He said.
"Hehe, spoken like a true sheriff." Bright said, and Chase chuckled. After that, they both shared their hoof shake. A brief second later, the sports teacher entered their changing room.
"Alright everypony, you all are now on with the red team, let's go." The stallion sports teacher said, and the colt's nodded and lined up.
Sunny, Hitch, Izzy, and Sprout were still seen sitting on the seats while still waiting for their sons to appear on the field and compete in the dodgeball sport in front of them, Hitch had to get some popcorns and water for them all so that they could have more energy to watch their sons play. By the meantime, Izzy Moonbow looked down on her left and saw her son Bright and her nephew Chase walking on the field with four colt's behind them which made her eyes widen.
"Oh my gosh! Bright and Chase have arrived!" Izzy exclaimed with a wide smile.
When Sunny, Hitch and Sprout heard this, there all looked on the field and saw their son's arriving on the filed with four colt's next to them. The sight made their eyes widen and put enthusiastic smiles on their faces, however, Izzy and Sunny were the more enthusiastic ones.
"Oh my goodness! Hello Chasey!" Sunny exclaimed waving her right hoof at her son.
"Brighty, your mommy is here to support you through this sports event my sweet little baby!" Izzy exclaimed which made her son blush in embarrassment.
"Chasey! Mommy knows that you can win this competition! You're mommy's sweet little baby! I know you can Chasey-boo!" Sunny exclaimed which made her son blush in embarrassment too.
"Brighty! Brighty you're the best, you can beat your opponents and prove your might! You will make your parents proud like you always have! Brighty! Brighty! Our amazing son, yeah!" Izzy cheered with pompoms in her hooves.
"Chasey! Chasey you're the bravest! You can make daddy and mommy proud by winning against the other team, you will make us exceptionally proud like how you made us proud when you're protecting ponies and passing your exams! Yeah!" Sunny cheered as she too had pompoms in her hooves.
Both Chase and Bright were beyond humiliated by their mothers cheering for them like what true parents would do but, this is just too much for them to handle, in addition to that, there were many ponies around here! They can also hear the sounds of their teammates snickering behind them for one obvious reason.
The ponies seated on the seats were all seen staring at Sunny and Izzy with perplexed expressions due to this seeming very awkward.
"Alright Sunny, you don't have to embarrass our son in front of everypony." Hitch said as he seated Sunny on the seat again.
"But Hitchy, I just want to be the supportive mother to Chase." Sunny said giving Hitch a peck on the lips.
"Izzy baby, isn't this a bit too much?" Sprout asked with a chuckle as he too gently seated his wife on her seat.
"Oh come on Sprouty, it's our son's sports competition, therefore, we must give him all of the support that he needs." Izzy said as she kissed her husband in the lips.
Both Chase and Bright had to look away from their parents kissing due to them being too young to see things that adults do.
"Ugh, is there anypony that we do not have to face?" Bright asked with an irked expression, and Chase just shrugged.
"Well, well, well, look who it is."
Both Chase and Bright's eyes widened when they heard the familiar voice. They both looked in front of them and saw two fillies, one bright green, while the other was orange in colour. They were the spoiled filly sisters whom they humiliated them at school during one incident at the canteen, their names are: Blossom, and Spring.
"Oh gosh." Chase said rolling his eyes in annoyance.
"Prepare for trouble." Said Blossom.
"And make it double!" Said Spring.
"To protect our reputation from devastation." Said Blossom.
"To unite our friends within our campus." Said Spring.
"To denounce bullying with love and respect." Said Blossom.
"To extend our reaches to the mountain above." Said Spring.
"Blossom."
"And Spring."
"We are the most prettiest fillies of this town. Say something bad or mean to us and prepare for consequences." Blossom said.
"Yep that's right!" Spring exclaimed finishing their motto.
Chase and Bright just stood there in silence after hearing that preposterous moto from these two rich sisters due to them hearing that all of the time at school.
"Ugh, when will you two stop with that stupid motto?" Bright asked, and that made the two fillies infuriated.
"How dare you call us stupid?! We're going to roast you two in this sports match so hard that you wished that you both never signed up for it in the first place!" Blossom exclaimed.
"I'm sorry but, the ones who are going to get roasted are the two of you spoiled sisters." Chase roasted which made the two of them blush furiously.
"Ooooh, now that is what I call a roast." A colt behind them whispered.
Then, a mate sports teacher walked up to the side of the field with a yellow dodgeball.
"Alright everypony, the competition will commence now, and the rules are simple, you must hit each other with the ball and eliminate one another. Whoever's side runs out of ponies, the match will end understood?" She asked them and the ponies nodded in response. "Alright, now the red team will have start first." She said as she tossed them the ball, and Blossom caught it.
"Okay, match start!" The teacher exclaimed as she blew her whistle.
"Take this Chase!" Blossom exclaimed throwing the ball at him.
When Chase noticed this, he simply caught the ball in his hooves easily with no pain.
"Nice try, now take this!" Chase said throwing it back at her.
Blossom and her little sister Spring immediately stepped out of the balls way along with their team, unfortunately, one of the fillies weren't able to dodge out of the way and she got hit in the torso.
"You're out!" The teacher exclaimed, and the filly grunted in annoyance before walking away.
"Grr." Spring growled before picking up the ball in her hooves "You'll never win!" She exclaimed as she threw the ball.
"Dodge out of the way guys!" Bright exclaimed as he, Chase and his teammates all dodged and ducked out of the way of the ball. However, one of the colt's weren't able to dodge out of the way in time and he got hit in the chest.
"You're out!"
The colt groaned in annoyance before walking away.
"Guys remember the rules, dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge." Chase informed them, and his friends nodded in response.
"Good luck you guys!" Izzy exclaimed.
The match was going on for 2 minutes now, and both the blue and red team have lost most of their teammates however, the Chase and Bright were still in the game while Blossom was all by herself after her little sister got hit in the face by Chase.
"Oh wow, this is very close." Hitch said with an impressed expression.
"Haha! We're going to win this!" Bright said in a victorious tone.
However, the young colt spoke too soon because, Blossom came up with a smirk and chucked the ball at him.
"Bright, look out!"
"Huh?" Bright said turning around only to be hit in the chest by the ball, making him grunt, and the ball bounced back towards the filly.
"Bright! You're out!"
"Oh no." Izzy said.
"Chase, you gotta win this." Bright said desperately.
"Don't worry, I will." Chase said giving him an assuring nod.
"You can do this Chase!" Hitch cheered.
"Hehehe, this is payback!" Blossom exclaimed as she threw the ball at him.
Luckily, Chase was able to react quick enough and he caught the ball in his hooves which shocked Blossom due to that being her strongest throw. After that, the young colt began to formulate a plan, throwing the ball at her would not be a valid move due to him knowing that she would dodge it, he needed to come up with something else. The young colt then looked behind him and saw a wall behind the filly, he calculated it with some simple mathematics and came up with the perfect plan, however, this is a fifty fifty probability.
"I hope this works." Chase said as he drew his right hoof back and chucked the ball as strong as he could, and the ball flew right past Blossom.
"Ha, you missed." Blossom said in an insulting tone, however, Chase did not intend to hit her.
The ball was seen flying rapidly towards the wall thanks to the strength of Chase's throw, and luckily, the aerodynamics acting around the ball did not mess up the angle of the throw. Once it got to the wall, it hit it, and bounced off it, after that, it made it's ways towards Blossom.
"Huh?" Blossom said with a bewildered expression as she turned around, only to be pelted in the face by the ball. "Ooof!" She grunted in pain as she landed on the ground on her back.
"Game over! Blue team wins!"
The crowd all went nuts and they all began to cheer for the winners of this competition.
"They won Sprouty!" Izzy exclaimed happily as she tacked her husband to the floor to give him a kiss to the lips.
"That's my colt!" Hitch said in a proud tone as he kissed his wife Sunny in the lips.
"Woohoo! Well done Chase!" Bright exclaimed as he and his friends all ran towards him. Once they got to him, they began to give him high-fives.
The competition cane to a conclusion in the afternoon, and everypony began to go home, the Chase and Bright had gold medals on them and they were being carried by their fathers. As for Blossom and Spring? Well, let's just say that they ran back home and cried in their bedrooms after their miserable defeat.
"Goodbye Bright."
"Goodbye Chase."
After that, Sunny, Hitch, Chase, Sprout, Izzy, and Bright all parted their separate ways with Sprout, Izzy, and Bright going back to Bridlewood, and Sunny, Hitch and Chase returning to their home.
"That was such a marvelous display my son." Hitch said in a proud tone.
"Indeed, you made us both exceptionally proud." Sunny cooed planting a kiss on her son's cheek.
"Thank you daddy, thank you mommy." Chase said with a smile.
