Harvest Disaster Problem

(Applejack P.O.V)

"Boy howdy! I got my work cut out for me!" I say looking out at the whole orchard. "That's there is the biggest bumper crop of apples I ever laid eyes on.

"Eyup!" Big Mac says agreeing with me. "Too big for you to handle on your own." He added.

"Come on big brother you need to rest up and get yourself better, I haven't met an apple orchard yet that I can't handle." I say accidentally jabbing Big Mac's injury. "Oops. Sorry."

"I'll take a bite out of this job by day's end."

"Biting off more than you can chew is just what I'm afraid of." Big Mac says.

"Are you sayin' my mouth is makin' promises my legs can't keep?" I asked upset at what Big Mac was saying.

"Eeyup."

"Why, of all the-- this is your sister Applejack, remember?! The loyalest of friends and the most dependable of ponies!" I say getting up in Big Mac face.

"But still only one pony. And one pony plus hundreds of apple trees just doesn't add up to --."

"Don't you use your fancy mathematics to muddy the issue." I say cutting Big Mac off. "I said I could handle this harvest, and I'm gonna prove it to you! I'm gonna get every last apple out of those trees this Applebuck season all by myself!" I say as I turned towards the apple trees before gulping.

(Lillian P.O.V)

It was a nice calm morning in ponyville with everyone going about their day as usual my sister and I were walking through town heading home with groceries we bought with the help of our wisp friends Flame who was my burst wisp and Digger my other wisp who's a drill along with sapphire wisps who surprisingly chose to name hers sonic and shadow, her lazer and frenzy wisps.

"I'm surprised how peaceful today is usually there's something going on." Sapphire says looking around.

"Yeah usually something crazy happens." As if on cue the ground started to shake. "Nevermind."

"What's that!?" Someone says pointing to a cloud of dust out in the distance and when Rainbow flew up she looked out in the distance before turning to everyone.

"STAMPEDE." She says to everyone and as soon as she said that everyone started panicking as they started running into their homes or the nearest buildings while I used the power of my Phantom ruby to make me and Sapphire float into the air to avoid the stampede while our wisps followed us up; however, that all changed when we saw Applejack and her dog Winona leading the stampede away.

"YEEHAW!"

As Applejack lead the stampede away we all cheered for her and once the stampede was successfully lead away from the town she has a talk with the cows that started the stampede and after their talk the cows left Applejack stood on top of a hill as we cheered for her before she left.

"Yeehaw! Ride 'em cowpony." Pinkie says with excitement.

"Applejack was just -- just --." The mayor says before being interrupted by Pinkie.

"Appletastic!"

"Exactly!" Agreed Mayor Mare.

"Yeah I agree and I think we should do something to thank her for saving the town." I say as me, Sapphire and our wisps floats back down.

"Yeah and I think we should throw her a --."

"A PARTY!" Pinkie says finishing Sapphire sentence.

"A party huh I think that's a wonderful idea we'll throw a party for Applejack thanking her for single-hoofedly saving the town."

A week later the town has set up decorations for Applejack thank you party Sapphire and I of course helped out even our wisp friends helped.

"We all ready?" Twilight asked.

"Just one last thing." Rarity answered before putting up a banner with images of apples on it on top of the town hall. "Now we're ready."

"Is applejack all set?"

"About that Twilight no one haven't seen her all week." I answered.

"Yeah not since the day of stamped." Sapphire added.

"I'm sure Applejack will be here she's never late." Rainbow says and about an hour later the whole town were gathered in front of the town hall waiting for the ceremony to start while Twilight headed onto the stage with a stack of flash cards.

"Oh boy from the looks of those cards she has I'm sure this'll be a very long speech." I say to Sapphire.

"Yeah got to agree with one there but I'm sure it'll be over once it's done." Sapphire says in agreement.

"Welcome everpony and Mobian." Twilight says greeting everyone. "Today, we are her to honor a pony we can always count on top help in matters great and small a pony whose contribution to --." Before Twilight could finish what she was saying she rudely interrupted by Rainbow.

"Did you see Applejack's slick moves out there?" She asked the crowd. "What an athlete!" She says with excitement. "This week, she's gonna help me with my flying trick, and I know it's gonna be so awesome!"

"Exactly. And --." Twilight says pushing Rainbow out of the way only to be interrupted by Pinkie this time.

"[Snickers] well I guess Twilight speech ended before it started if she keeps getting interrupted." I say laughing a bit that twilight got interrupted twice.

"This week, I get to run sugarcube corner for the first time!" Pinkie says happily.

"What does that have to do with applejack?" Twilight asked confused.

"Oh, Applejack, one of the best bakers ever, is gonna help me." Pinkie happily answered. "Applejack makes everything great, so free samples for everyone!" Once Pinkie says that everyone started to cheer.

"Okay that's great." Twilight says pushing Pinkie out of the way a bit annoyed. "Now, if I could just make a point without being inter --." And just like before Twilight couldn't finish talking because she was interrupted again by Fluttershy making both me and Sapphire chuckle.

"Twilight, I'm so sorry but I just wanted to mention that applejack is also helping me this week with the official bunny census, where we count up all the new baby bunnies that we're born this season." Fluttershy says with a smile before adding. "She's gonna help gather them using her wonderful herding skills." Shes says before noticing Twilight annoyed face looks and backed off.

"Anyone else?" She asked looking around. "Anyone?" When she saw no one else had anything to say she went back to continue her speech but as if fate wanted to keep things going she saw Mayor Mare standing next to get smiling. "Ugh! Nevermind." She says throwing her flans cards everywhere in annoyment as she walks off the stage.

"[Chuckles] I guess we really didn't need to worry about a long speech from twilight after all."

"Yeah I guess we don't." Sapphire says as we chuckled at Twilight being interrupted so many times.

"[Clears throat] and so, with no further ado, it is my privilege to the prize pony of ponyville award to our beloved guest of honor, a pony the utmost trustworthiness, reliability, and integrity, ponyville most capable and dependable friend, Applejack!" The mayor says as the curtains that Applejack was supposed to be behind opened only to reveal she wasn't there.

"Way to go, Applejack!" Spike says as he cheered not even noticing Applejack wasn't even in stage. "That was awesome!"

"Um Spike you might want to stop cheering and look on the stage because AJ not there." Sapphire says making Spike stop his cheering to look on stage.

"Oh um [chuckles]." He chuckles a bit seeing how he kind of embarrassed himself a bit.

"[Clears throat]."

"Well this got real awkward really fast." I say looking around as it was dead silent.

"Yeah." Sapphire says in agreement as she looked around but just than the pony we were all waiting for finally arrived.

"I'm here! I'm here!" Applejack says walking through the crowd of ponies as she yawned. "Sorry I'm late." She says apologizing. "Well I was just."

"Whoa!"

"Did I get your tail?" Applejack says asking to one of the ponies she accidentally stepped on before making her way on stage with baskets of apples she had on her. "Miss mayor thank you kindly for this here, uh, award thingy." She says thanking the mayor before walking up to the trophy yawning. "It's so bright and shiny, and [chuckles] I sure do look funny."

"Is it me or does Applejack look tired?" I asked whispering to Sapphire.

"Yeah it looks like she hasn't gotten any sleep at all." She says as we looked at Applejack and the bags under her eyes before she grabbed the trophy and starter dragging it.

"Was it just me, or did Applejack seem a little --."

"Tired?"

"Dizzy."

"Exhausted?"

"Messy?" We all turned to Rarity when she said that. "Well, did you see here mane?"

"She seemed fine to me." Pinkie says with a smile.

"Really Pinkie your saying Applejack looked fine despite her having bags under her eyes."

"What bags I didn't see any bags with her."

"No not that kind of bag oh nevermind." I say shaking my head as there was no point of explaining things to Pinkie. "Anyways I think we should go check on Applejack to make sure if she's okay."

"I think your right Lillian we should go check on her." Twilight says in agreement.

(Twilight P.O.V)

After Applejack left the party Lillian and I decided to go check on Applejack to see if she was okay and when we got to Sweet Apple Acres we saw that Applejack was knocking down apples from every apple trees all by herself and noticed how tired she looked especially when she kept stumbling to kick a apple tree she already knocked the apples out of.

"What on earth is that pony doing?"

"I don't know Twilight but from the looks of it she seems to be knocking down all these apples from those trees all by herself?" Lillian says as she looked at all the apple trees that have have baskets full apples in them.

"Hey, Applejack!" I called out only to see Applejack had fell asleep.

"[Snoring lightly]."

"Yo Applejack wake up!" Lillian yelled out trying to wake Applejack up but she was still sleeping.

Getting annoyed from Applejack not waking up I teleported in front of her and yelled out her name causing her to wake up.

"Oh howdy, Twilight." She says before noticing Lillian as well. "Howdy Lillian."

"Hey Applejack mind telling us what all this is about?" Lillian asked looking at all the apple trees with empty buckets underneath them.

"It's applebuck season." Applejack answered as she walked past me and up to an apple tree and knocked the apples out of it.

"Apple-what season?" I asked confused.

"[Grunts] it's what the apple family calls harvestin' time." She says walking up to another apple tree. "We gather all the apples from the trees so we can sell them."

"Okay I think I get it but why are you doing this by yourself why ain't your family helping you?" Lillian asked seeing how Applejack family wasn't anywhere in the orchard helping out.

"Because Big Macintosh hurt himself, my sister in school and granny sleeping back home."

"If none of them can't help why didn't you ask me for help?" Lillian asked. "Since I do work here with you AJ."

"Yeah and what about all those relatives I met when I first came to ponyville can't they help?"

"Well first off I didn't ask for help from you Lillian because I can do this myself and secondly they were here for the apple family reunion." Applejack says as she head towards another tree. "They actually live all over equestria and are busy harvetsin' their own orchards." She says as I teleported in front of her blocking her path. "Which means I should really get back to work [clears throat] hint, hint get back to work."

"Fine." I say walking over to Lillian.

"Oh, could you step aside twilight?" Applejack asked looking a bit woozy.

"Applejack she just did." Lillian replied. "Are you sure your okay doing this by yourself AJ because you don't look so good."

Applejack shook her head before answering. "Don't none of you six worry none I'm just fine and dandy." She says before going back to knocking down apples missing the tree she tried kicking.

"You sure you don't need help Applejack?" I asked teleporting in front of her.

"Help?" She asks before scoffing. "No way, no how!"

"You sure because from where I'm standing it looks you do need help because there is no way in hell your going to knock down all these apples by yourself." Lillian commented.

"I already told you Lillian I don't need help now if yah keep pestering me about helping than I'll fire you from this farm." Applejack says not to happy.

"Woe Applejack that's a bit harsh don't you think?" I asked. "I mean she was just trying to tell you that you won't be able to do this by yourself."

"Well I can and I'll prove to y'all that I can do at all by myself." She says as she walks off. "Now if you'll excuse me, I've got apples to bucket."

"Man that mare is so stubborn and saying she'll fire me for pointing out the truth and wanting to offer a hand to help."

"Don't worry Lillian I'm sure she wouldn't really fire you." Say reassuring Lillian.

(Sapphire P.O.V)

After Lillian came home from visiting Applejack farm she explained what was going on with Applejack and how she had told Lillian that she would fire her just for offering her to help with picking all the apples but I reassured her that maybe she was just grumpy because how tired she was which made my sister laugh a bit.

When the next day arrived a few things had happened all in one day the first being that Rainbow Dash was launched into the air and landing in Twilight balcony, the second was that Lillian and a couple of the towns ponies had gotten sick from eating muffins by Pinkie and Applejack and lastly a stampede of baby bunnies ran into town eating all the flowers.

"Alright I think this has gone too far Lillian and Twilight were right Applejack been working herself too hard that it's causing so many disasters and problems for the town." I say upset about what's been going on. "I'm gonna have a talk with that mare." I say before heading off to Sweet Apple Acres.

Once I arrived at the apple farm I saw Twilight already talking to Applejack. "Alright Applejack your applebucking hasn't just been causing you problems it's been causing problems for others from overpropelling pegasus, to practically poisoning many ponies and Mobian and to terrorizing bushels of brand-new baby bunnies." She says to Applejack before adding. "I don't care what you say you need help."

"I agree with Twilight here." I say joining in on the conversation.

"Sapphire what are you doing here?" Twilight asked turning to me.

"The same reason your here to convince Applejack that she needs help." I say as I turner to Applejack. "You doing things alone has really caused so many problems for everyone as Twilight mentioned and Lillian is one of those you caused problems for because she ate one of those muffins you and Pinkie made and got sick so you need to stop being so stubborn and get some help before anyone else can get hurt."

"[Grunts] ha I don't need help because look, I did it." Applejack says pointing to all the apple trees she bucked. "I harvested the entire Sweet Apple Acres without anyone help at all." She says with a smug look on her face before I notice the other side of the orchard.

"Really Applejack if you really did harvested all the apples what about the one over there?" I asked pointing the apple trees with apples still on them.

After seeing the other apple trees with more apples on them she started to mumble a bit before collapsing on the ground. "Applejack you okay?" I asked as I checked to see if she was alright.

"Yeah I'm okay." She replied looking up at me and Twilight.

"Good, now Applejack, we completely respect the apple family ways." Twilight says before I added.

"But you need help girl and as much as you want to deny it you need it and we're not leaving until you say you need help."

"Okay, you two you win." She says with a sigh. "I truly do need your help.

Me and Twilight looked at each other and smiled and when the next day came me, Lillian our wisps and your friends helped out at Applejack farm of course twilight had also written her friendship report to Celestia.

"How about y'all take a little break I got some fine apple juice waitin' for you." Applejack called out as we all stopped what we were doing and headed to grab your drinks. "[Sighs] girls, I can't thank you enough for this help." She says thanking us. "I was actin' a bit stubborn."

"A bit really?" Lillian asked.

"Okay, a might stubborn." She says smiling. "And I'm awful sorry." Applejack says a bit ashamed. "And I'm sorry Lillian that I told you I would fire you if you told me to ask for help again I was exhausted that I sort of lashed out on ya."

"It's fine Applejack I understand."

"Thank you and also I know the town gave me the prize pony award, but the real award is having you seven as my friends." We all smiled before taking a sip at our drinks.

"Whew! That applebucking sure made me hungry." Rainbow says after taking a sip of her drink.

"And I've got the perfect treat!" Spike says as he shows us a tray of the bad muffins Pinkie and Applejack ate.

"Spike please don't tell me you got them from the trash."

"I did."

"Ew!" We all said grossed out that he took food from the trash.

"Spike dude come on that's nasty." Lillian says before we all walked off to get some real food while spike tries convincing us to eat the muffins.
