Convictions of a Goddess

It's been ten years since Twilight ascended the throne of Equestria. Guided by her retired mentors, her reign has been defined by a lasting peace, the foundations of which were set before she'd taken the crown, built in part upon her conviction in the magic of friendship. In Equestria, things have never been more harmonious. Enemies have become neighbors. Unicorns, pegasi and earth ponies living side by side with griffons, changelings and dragons. Even a visit from Discord, God of Chaos, is only incredibly annoying.

From the throne, this peace has extended beyond Equestria's borders, forging alliances with other nations. Friendships between lands. This has been less than magical, but just as important. A procession of tedious days spent signing papers, attending stuffy galas, and missing simpler times.

But peace can be fragile, peace can be complacent, and with the right push, peace can be shattered.
When that push comes, Twilight and her friends must pore through enemies both old and new to discover who could do such a thing, how, and most importantly, why.
