After writing the previous origin story for Arcane I couldn’t help but feel it lacked a certain amount of fun and narrative. In this version I’ve worked to bring life to her world and flesh out the characters that make it. To those who read the previous version, this one is significantly different.

In this story a nation is threatened when the dragons get ahold of a dimensional mirror. The failed attempt to steal the mirror sparks a war, but the Dragons now have their own Queen from a world where history unfolded very differently. To make things worse, the dragons take on a barbaric policy that strips ponies of their abilities. Arcane joins a team determined to heal what was taken as the tragically curious Earth Mare ponders what could be added.
