The scene starts off somewhere at Canterlot City where two girls are walking arm in arm who are best friends. These two are seen together, inseparable and some may think that these two are a couple and never with anyone else. These two are none other than Lyra and Bon bon. It was during this one afternoon at Bonbon’s house, a scene began that will shatter their friendship…temporarily.

“She hasn’t come out of her room yet.” Lyra said as she prepared a sandwich for her BFF. She went upstairs and is now outside her room. “Hey Bonnie, I prepared a snack for you. It's in the fridge if you’re looking for it…………….Bon bon?” She called out again after knocking on the door but her bestie did not reply but she could hear she’s speaking with someone and chatting a bunch of nonsense and spy things related which sounds odd. The doorknob wasn’t locked so Lyra decided to enter. “Did you hear me Bon bon? I said-”

*GASP*

Upon entering the room, yes Lyra did see her BFF but was on the floor with a hole in the middle of her body which has a zipper on it that her best friend’s body on the floor was none other than a suit. What really catches Lyra's attention was the one sitting by the desk and talking through a radio that sounds like Bon bon but has the appearance of a pony.

“For Discord’s sake, what’s happened there?” The pony said on the radio.

“Bonnie?” Lyra wasn’t even sure if that is even her BFF or if that is how she really looks but she did get the pony’s attention as it turned around to see her, caught in the act. Before Lyra could say another word, the pony Bon bon threw something round at her and exploded. As she coughed through the smoke she ended up taking a whiff and felt her head spinning. “Lyra to Bon bon here I come🎵”

*THUD*

“YOU’RE NOT MY BON BON!”

Lyra woke up to see she’s actually in bed and not the bed of her BFF but her own bed. She began wondering how she ended up in her own home and saw that it's already dark outside, meaning it was night time. The most bothersome thing she remembered was her own best friend’s true identity. There are times that she and Bon bon were eyewitnesses to the Rainbooms of saving the day when Equestrian magic gets involved, now her own personal life with her bestie is next and decides to expose the impostor and figure out where the real Bon bon is.

The next day Lyra is walking alone and arrives at Canterlot High. Now she just needs a plan or help from the Rainbooms or from one of their special someone's who also have powers like them on exposing the phony Bon bon or everyone may think she is crazy.

“Lyra!”

Bon bon startled Lyra from behind but Lyra mustn't act recklessly and faked her smile. She decided to play along as they walked together arm in arm.

Lyra patiently waits as her classes with Bon bon finish until lunch comes for the member of the Rainbooms she really needs is Sunset Shimmer who could read minds. But her actions during that time was unnoticed by Bon bon herself that her bestie was acting strange towards her.

Lunch came, which is the exact time for Lyra’s plan to commence. After she and Bon bon got their food, she quickly searched the cafeteria and found the table where the Rainbooms are sitting and how lucky that there is an available table next to them. She quickly walked over to the table with Bon bon following from behind as they took their seats but on opposite sides of the table.

“That’s it!” Bon bon slammed both her hands on the table and stood up from her seat and walked around to sit next to her best friend. “I’ve had enough with you being cold to me. You weren’t like that earlier.”

“I was faking that earlier and the reason why we sat at this table is because I need Sunset’s help.” Lyra points over to Sunset Shimmer at the table next to them where she hears her name being called.

“My help? For what?” Sunset asked.

“Lyra I still don't understand, why are you still angry at me?” Bon bon said.

“Because you are not Bon bon but a pony in disguise!”

Everyone in the cafeteria stopped what they were doing from Lyra's commotion by the Rainbooms table as she confessed her best friend’s secret. Bon bon on the other hand was confused on what she meant.

“What?”

“You heard me, you are a pony in disguise!”

“Uhm Ms. Lyra?” Dusk Eyes, who was actually at the table where Lyra and Bon bon are, interrupted their conversation. “But it's kind of hard to believe and what made you think that Ms. Sweetie Drops here is a pony?”

“I was knocked unconscious yesterday when she threw something at me which had some sort of sleeping gas in it. She must have done something while I was asleep because I wasn't over at her place when I woke up, I was at my place.”

“Is that true?” Dusk turned his attention to Bon bon.

“NO!” Bon bon said in panic but then regained herself. “I mean, no. Of course I would never do such a thing to my BFF and I am clearly 100% human.”

“That is what an impostor would say, playing innocent. You may have actually come from Equestria to swap places with my Bon bon-”

“How about I read Bon bon’s mind if that will make you happy, I mean Dusk has a point.” Sunset stood up from her seat and approached them. She placed her hand on Bon bon and read her mind after she took her hand off after a moment. “She’s not an impostor. I wonder…” Sunset then placed her hand on Lyra and read her mind. “I know now what really happened.”

“She may be using one of those magic items from Equestria you guys talked about that ended up in our world to edit her memories. That’s it, since Sunset’s mind reading didn’t work, I’LL STRIP YOU NAKED MYSELF!”

“L-Lyra what are you doing?!” Bon bon panicked as Lyra grabbed the top of her clothes. Dusk Eyes immediately looked away while Sunset and her friends tried to separate Lyra from her. “LYYYRRRRAAA!” Bon bon had enough as she raised her hand and-

*SLAP*

“OWW!”

“I understand how you felt Ms. Heartstrings but that doesn’t mean you undressing a fellow student out in public which is clearly not allowed.”

Both Lyra and Bon bon were sent to the Principal’s office when Principal Celestia heard the commotion during lunch when she was passing by the cafeteria. Lyra was sitting on one chair with a cold compress pressed on the part of her face where she got slapped while Bon bon sat on the other away from her.

“If you would let me finish first earlier, I can explain what really happened.”

Sunset and Dusk were also there to explain what really happened yesterday.

So they really were at Bon bon’s place but what happened did not take place in Bon bon’s room but in the living room. Lyra was just watching television until Bon bon called her, and she prepared snacks for the two of them. That is when Lyra got her foot caught on the carpet as she tripped and knocked herself silly. The hard part is Bonbon carrying Lyra back to her place because no one was answering when she called there.

Dusk Eyes then began to explain his part and the rest of it. He was just driving by in his motorcycle until he saw Bonbon dragging Lyra out of her house which he offered to drop off Lyra for her. By the time he arrived at Lyra house, that is when her parents had just arrived from elsewhere and helped him carry their daughter to her bedroom as he explained what Bonbon told him about what happened.

“It just makes no sense though,” Lyra said. “How come I don’t remember any of that?”

“I have a guess,” Dusk said. “After you fell unconscious, the dream that you have was none other than a lucid aka a vivid dream which is the reason that took place instead. Experts have no answers yet on why they feel so-”

“Okay you stop explaining now, you don’t need to explain like Twilight.” Sunset said after placing her hand on her boyfriend’s mouth."

The scenario wasn’t escalated and both girls were excused by Principal Celestia. The two are now at their lockers…
“Hey, I’m sorry I accused you that you’re a spy in disguise.” Lyra said after getting her books from her locker.

“I forgive you if you will join me and watch this movie at the theater this weekend.” Bon bon showed her phone to her bestie the movie she was talking about.

“Sure! If this is to make up for what happened.”

“There is also a ticket discount for couples.”

“But we aren’t a-”

“Then just pretend and play along. Unless you want to move our relationship…a bit further.”

“What?! I mean not that I don’t like that idea, we're not lesbians...I mean not yet...no! Hold on, what am I saying?!”

“Come on silly Lyra, we still have classes.”

“Hey, we are not finished yet!”

A relationship will always have its ups and downs as Lyra and Bon bon went their way. Even though Lyra denies that she and her bestie to be a thing it’s official that their relationship is already canon and - Hold on what am I even saying and breaking the 4th wall? You know what…nevermind. I’m just the narrator and I don’t know what the author was thinking for me to say these lines but anyway see you all in the next chapter.
