“What am I? I am a being of the slow coming pestilence, the conquer of all, and one of many beings of the coming end, I have many names, but time now is unimportant, yet."
It was late that night within the house of the great noble pony Mr. Stitchings and soon to be a father no less as he paces the hall of the masters’ bedroom where he can hear his wife groaning and screaming in pain as she gives labor. He waits with one of his butlers as he takes slow deep breaths as his butler attempts to calm the pacing soon to be a father with a light cough loud enough to catch his attention, seeing worry and stress on his face.
“Sir with all due respect I would believe that your wife will be fine along with your children, I know it came as a surprise when the doctor spoke of her baring twins, quite the rarity if ask me, sir, you should feel honored.”
"I know Silver Bell, but what I am most worry if I would be a good father better than my own has been, I worry that they would be worse or celestial forbids they don't follow the family business like me or Violet, what if"- With a sudden ear perk, he eyes the door as he no longer hears the agonizing groans or screams of pain as thoughts rushed his mind, not making it or their children making it. He failed not only as a husband but as a father.
With a click on the door lock of the masters' bedroom, one of the maid attendance opens it slowly, poking her head out to the gaze of the panicked Noble pony as his butler patting his shoulder with his hoof gently to ease the stressed noble pony breathing rapidly. He stares up to the maid with the most worried face she might have ever seen on the nobles' look, with a slight smile of joy to ease the noble pony seeing his rapid breathing come to a slow, calm breath as she spoke to him in a calming respected tone.
“Congratulations sir, you are now a father of triplets of two beautiful twin daughter fillies and one questionable colt son, but most honor to your wife for delivering such amazing strong life to your family; your grace, your wife is now ready for you to see the fillies and the colt though he was quite the surprise for your wife sir.”
The earth pony stood wide-eyed, and jaw gaped but recovered quickly with a giant smile as he faced his butler with a large smile and a gaze of a young colt not even excited and wanting to reassure their excitement as his butler smile and nods, letting him know that he too heard the news and wasn't alone hearing that the earth pony noble was a father of triplets instead of twins. One of them was a colt, with the maid holding the door wide for him and his butler as he trots happily proudly in to see his wife a violet purple wine red mane mare holding two fillies both white coat but different as one baring gold yellow and the other a grey steel mane in her hooves as she layers in the bed with sweat dripping off her head and face as she smiles exhaustedly back at her stallion.
He reached down to her and hugged her gently, smiling brighter and prouder than ever, and he retracts himself but looks at the holding his third child and holds his hoof out to the nurse as she walks towards him.
"Violet that one is, is it my colt, my s-son?" He asked in reassurance but surprised as his smile dipped down a little concerned. Still, the daggering snarl stare the mare gave to not the nurse but the young colt in the nurse's hoof as she stood next to the earth pony, he gently takes the colt into his hoof from the nurse, and as he gazes at the colt his smile turned down quickly to disgusted anger and repulsed as he looked at the colt giving it to a nearby maid and backing away to his wife laying in her bed standing in an almost guarding stand.
“That co- 'THING' is an abomination to not only me, my wife, and the twin fillies, but to our bloodline but you will be held accountable for that 'thing.' you damned harlot." He screams out, turning his head to face his mare Violet, shocked, and snarls quickly at him from what he said.
He sees the shock on his wife’s face as she slowly closed her gasping jaw to grit her teeth and snarl back at her husband for not only raising and acclaiming such an accusation as the twin fillies started to cry by the anger raised tone by him rocking them gently in her hooves and using her wings to comforting them as she continues to eye her husband.
“Perhaps if your ‘noble blood line’ weren’t corrupted, then maybe you, the foal, would’ve been more to your liking; indeed, it is not my fault that such an abomination would come from my family as pure as mine.”-
She was interrupted by her enraged husband; she tried to calm the twin fillies in her hooves, to which the maids and butler quickly intervened the two arguing parents as the butler pulled the raging father out of the room with two maids came and helped the butler blocking the view of the pegasus escorting the enraged earth pony as they forced him to leave the bedroom, the last three maids went to her side to calm and take the two fillies from her.
The maid holding the colt with the doctor looked over at the colt. It was a dark blue-coated unicorn with a dark ashy grey mane, examining the colt seeing nothing wrong with him as the mother slowly walked to the mother embed to show her the foal and seeing her same reaction of disgusting hatred towards the colt.
“BY HER MAJESTY BLAZING SUN WHAT IS THIS DISGUSTINGLY FOUL CREATURE DID CRAWLED OUT OF MY?!”
The maids, nurse, and the doctor stood there gazing back and forth to each other, then back to the dark blue colt as the maid slowly backed away with it seeing the mare screaming in anger at the colt, the maid as the doctor begins to pack up his surgical equipment and tools. Pulling out a syringe, inject the angry lashing mare with some numbing medicine in her hoof with the maid's help trying to calm her down out of worry she might injure the colt and twin fillies.
The maid slowly looks over to mare, calming down with her vision going blurry and sideways, snarling at the maid as she rocks the colt in her hoof, confused but staying in her servants’ posture.
“Take that abomination to the basement and give it that zebra; perhaps it would make better use of that abomination with its potions or maybe fix it for Celestia’s sakes, get that burden away from...me.”
As Violet slowly falls under the anti-pain, feeling a bit numb as the maid nods to her order, quietly carrying the colt and leaving the room, she peeks her head through the door and looks down both ends of the hallway to make sure that Mr. Stitchings. She leaves the nobles master bedroom and makes her way down the hall, going right to the far stairs to avoid the office and his private lounge as he’d be most likely be there with his butler to listen to his enraged rambling. The maid’s ears perk up, hearing the fate sound of glass breaking and what could be furniture being tossed around only to double her pace to a fast trot going down the stairs to the grand hall entrance, trotting slowly down the stairs and looking over at the tiny, blue unicorn colt, as it stares up at her. She didn’t understand why would his father but even his mother would despise such a young colt as if they witnessed the most horrific being in their lives.
So many questions, yet for now, she trots from the grand hall's door to enter the kitchen. Seeing all the chefs smiling and nodding their heads over to the maid being on break from their shifts, she moves the far door next to the kitchen pantry only to unlock its heavy bulk lock and slowly open the door, the doors creaking greeted with a faint cold breeze and the stairs leading into the dark, but a faintly lit room of the basement which with one step, she took a slow pace making each step down the stairs. She looks back to see the door closed behind her only to bury her brows in thinking some joke by one of the chefs, which she continues to make her way down feeling the cold grow and the dark engulfing her and the colt. Still, it wasn't permanent as the glow of lantern flames lit small areas trotting over beyond boxes and barrels of storage.
She hears a voice it sounded like a mare speaking in a different language native voice, making the maid stop to listen; she peeked her head behind some old storage boxes and saw the zebra mare sitting in a red chalked circle with various symbols as the zebra mare spoke in a slow. Low toned chant-like tone, the maid slowly walked out from behind the boxes and setting down the young unicorn colt on the ground gently near the red chalk-drawn circle cough lightly catching the zebras attention stopping what her chanting was, she looked at the maid and the colt on the basis confused but making eye contact with the maid seeing her calm herself holding her hoof to her chest and take a breath to regain herself.
“Apologize for disturbing, whatever it is your doing but sir Stitchings has instructed that you are to charge with the care of this foal and for not letting it know that it shares the bloodline with Violet or Stitchings himself, I do hope you understand the task you are ordered with and so I will leave you to your ‘zebra kin rituals’ or what it is your doing miss.”
As the maid finishes glancing at the zebra mares body with the dim light of the lanterns, the zebra mare had scares over her striped black with white stripes coat of what looked like she was taking beatings, whiplashing scars, cuts, and a star branding over three small swirling circles of what looked like her cutie-mark on her both sides of her flanks. Her left fore-hoof poorly wrapped in dirty bandages as it bent inwards more than her other hooves, the maid knew not to ask or question she shook her head, slowly backing away, leaving the colt with the zebra mare and making her way quickly back to the upstairs to the kitchen, and the only sounds ever heard was the creaking sound of the basement door and the heavy clinking of the lock. The young colt looked around as the zebra slowly got up wobbly and limped her way to stand in front of the foal, smiling at it lowering her head down to gently nuzzle the colt's face as it giggled at it.
"Do not fear or threat little one, for your own family sees you as a regret, you will be much more than that soon, all will see you as a tragedy, I shall teach you my kin and peoples ways of calamity, only now for you new destiny to reach, will be too ill and to greet the lost being of all will."
Zara whispers to the dark blue unicorn foal in her native tongue as the colt closes its eyes yawning tiredly and leans up to Zara's bandage hoof curling up into a small ball on her, which Zara gently picks the young colt in her hoof and carries over limply and slowly to her chalk-drawn circle laying down in the center of it and resting the colt next to her, seeing him move closer next to her stomach moving her tail to make a blanket for the colt as it rests quietly and slept easily, Zara lowered her head thinking of how the colt will grow into the being that her ritual saw him grow but she'll think over it at a different time for the future, but all she can do now is teach him to speak and read the common equestrian and other importance of life he will need to be ready maybe some of her zebra native tongue along with alchemy and rituals, now she would have to call the colt to which she leaned her muzzle next to the colts ear and with her same quiet caring tone take a small breath in closing her head before she rests.
”Rest now little one, your time will be on the come to and soon or late, all my rhymes will soon be your rune gift of hate”
