Consciousness returned to Glimmer Shield like a bolt of thunder, as the cruise ship she was riding on hit a rather large wave. The sudden jostling of the ship combined with the general rocking cranked up the rolling of her stomach as she struggled to untangle herself from Cadance. Her lover, still asleep, held on like a vice grip despite her prodding and pushing. As her stomach churned and rolled with a powerful wave of morning sickness Gleaming slammed her eyes shut to focus on her magic. It took all of her concentration not to vomit as she worked her telekinesis to pry Cadance’s arms off of her. After a minute or so struggling against her lover’s alicorn strength, Gleaming lurched free and literally rolled off of the bed.

Years of training honed her instincts to the point where she was able to stop herself from slamming into the ground with her hands, keeping her precious cargo safe. The sudden drop though, was enough to break her concentration and she immediately vomited up a good amount of stomach acid onto the white carpeted floor of the princess suite. The noise was enough to wake up Cadance who quickly hopped up and helped Gleaming to the bathroom, but not in time to stop her from throwing up again. The smell of vomit permeated the air from the two splotches of stomach acid staining the carpet.

Gleaming Shield’s stomach rebelled one last time as the cruise ship rocked hard and she vomited up another flood of stomach acid. Thankfully though she had her head over the toilet bowl this time. As the bile splattered into the water the ship rocked back gently and remained calm. Gleaming stayed there, kneeling in front of the bowl for a couple of minutes just in case, but nothing more came. Once she was sure that she wasn’t going to vomit again she stood up and stepped into the shower. Meanwhile, Cadance worked to clean up the mess that she had made on the floor. Thankfully Cadance knew a spell for cleaning messes out of soft surfaces, it had come in handy many times in the past and likely would again.

As Gleaming worked to clean herself up, especially her feet which had been splashed by her second volley of vomit, Cadance joined her in the shower. The alicorn wrapped her strong arms around Gleaming, and gently rubbed Gleaming’s pregnant belly as she started to help her clean up. Their shower was a quiet affair, Cadance did most of the work with her magic as she rubbed Gleaming’s shoulders and back to relax her.

“Feeling better, Gleaming?” Cadance asked as she shut off the water and stepped out of the shower. She offered Gleaming a hand as she stepped out of the shower.

“Yes, much better thanks to you.” Gleaming replied as she took Cadance’s hand. As soon as she was out of the shower Cadance gave Gleaming a kiss and started to dry her off. A fluffy towel, animated by Cadance’s blue magic, darted around expertly drying Gleaming’s coat with gentle strokes and rubs. Once Gleaming was dry the towel literally danced back onto the rack, where it hung itself like any normal towel.

“Show off!” Gleaming said with a teasing prod of Cadance’s side. “Did Discord teach you that?”

“Haha, no that was Auntie Luna.” Cadance answered with a giggle as she animated a second towel and let it dry her off. “Discord taught me a different trick altogether.”

Before Gleaming could ask what that trick was, the ship rocked again and her hands shot to her belly as she wobbled. In an instant Cadance had her arms around Gleaming and her horn glowed with her regal blue magic. Even as the ship eased back Cadance’s horn still glowed, until Gleaming felt her stomach calm down.

“Wow, that really helped a lot honey.” Gleaming said with a slight gasp as the feeling of nausea subsided all together. “Why didn’t you use that spell earlier?”

“Because it only reduces the sensation of nausea.” Cadance explained as a pair of skimpy bikinis floated over in her magic. “It won’t prevent you from vomiting altogether, but it should help with the sea sickness.”

“Wow, where’d you find the spell?” Gleaming asked with a smile as she hugged her wife.

“Your sister actually taught it to me.” Cadance replied as she gently returned the hug. “She figured it could be useful on the cruise.”

“Heh, of course she did. She’s always excited to share her magical knowledge.” Gleaming commented as she put on her bikini. It was much easier for her to put on her bikini then it was for Cadance, since Cadance had to struggle to fit her cock and balls into the panties. The bulge was rather hot though and Gleaming couldn’t help but to stare.

“Come on, Gleaming. You need to eat, not fuck.” Cadance chided as she brought over a pair of modest tank-tops and shorts for each of them. “We can sunbath and relax for a bit after breakfast.”

“Fine, but you’re going to make sweet love to me later.” Gleaming replied as she grabbed the shorts and tank-top, and slipped into them.

“That’s a promise dear.” Cadance said as she donned her own tank-top and shorts. “Now, let’s get breakfast and then enjoy the sunny weather.”

They made their way out of their room and along the upper deck of the cruise liner towards the V.I.P. lounge and restaurant. While they weren’t the only wealthy or noble guests, the restaurant was empty aside from the staff thanks to the early hour. They were quickly seated at a window booth with a view of the small islands they had visited yesterday. The staff were friendly and quickly took their orders before returning and delivering their drinks. As they waited for their food Cadance sipped her coffee while Gleaming quickly slurped down her cold—alcohol free—apple cider.

“Aside from sunbathing, was there anything you wanted to do today Cadance?” Gleaming asked as she floated her empty glass to the side.

“I was thinking maybe we should head back to the islands since we’re going to be here for another day.” Cadance suggested before she took another sip of her coffee.

“I like that idea, it'd make it easier not having to deal with the sea sickness on top of my morning sickness.” Gleaming added as she looked out the window at the islands.Their conversation was interrupted by the arrival of their breakfast, and their waitress asking if they needed anything else. Aside from Gleaming asking for another glass of the same alcohol free cider, they were set and began eating their meal. In Gleaming’s case it was more of a miniature feast, her plate being loaded with eggs, haybacon, hash browns and buttered toast, plus a bowl of cut fruit on the side. Gleaming devoured her entire breakfast, including the fruit bowl, in the time it took Cadance to finish her own plate.

“What?” Gleaming asked as she saw Cadance staring at her.

“Nothing dear, just admiring my beautiful pregnant wife is all.” Cadance replied with a smile before she leaned over the table and gave Gleaming a kiss on the cheek. Gleaming blushed at that compliment and smiled shyly back.

“Stop it!” Gleaming exclaimed her blush intensified as Cadance smirked at her. “I’m nowhere near as beautiful as you are.”

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, my lovely guard captain.” Cadane said as she stood up and made her way around the table, offering Gleaming a hand. Gleaming took Cadance’s hand and was pulled gently onto her feet, where Cadance wrapped her arms around her and kissed her. After a moment, Cadance broke the kiss and looked at Gleaming. “Now, let's sunbathe for a bit, it’s going to be a while before they start taking ponies back to the islands.”

The two of them made their way out of the restaurant and onto the V.I.P. deck. The deck was completely empty given the early hour, leaving them to choose any of the chaise lounges they wanted. As the sun spilled its early morning sunshine onto the chaise lounges and a gentle breeze blew across the deck, the two mares relaxed under its warmth. As time ticked by the winds grew stronger and so did the rocking of the cruise ship. When Gleaming sat up to get a drink of water, hoping it would help her not feel so sick, the ship rocked much harder than before.

Gleaming didn’t even have a chance to turn her head before her breakfast rushed back up her throat. She splattered her chest and belly with a brackish-orange sludge filled with bits of partially digested eggs, fruit and hay. Cadance noticed just as a second wave of the sludge splattered against Gleaming’s chest. The wave of sludge sent chunks of the undigested food onto the deck as it spread across more of Gleaming’s chest. A third and final wave of the putrid sludge expelled itself from Gleaming’s mouth, this time consisting of just the sludge and a few flecks of food.

Cadance quickly stood up and moved over to help Gleaming up. Cadance held Gleaming close to her as they made their way back to their room, the only stop they made was to let the staff know about the mess. Gleaming was still shaking a bit in Cadance’s embrace as they stepped into the shower so Cadance pulled Gleaming in close. Despite the worry for her lover, Cadance’s bikini gained a noticeable bulge as she hugged Gleaming close and started cleaning the vomit off of her. It took twenty minutes of slow rubbing, washing and nuzzling, but Gleaming was clean and calm again.

“I’m sorry Gleaming, I should have expected that this cruise would make your morning sickness worse.” Cadance said as she used her magic to finish cleaning her lover off. “I didn’t think you’d get sea sick too.”

“It’s okay, Cadance.” Gleaming replied as she leaned against Cadance. “I agreed to it, and I didn’t expect to get sea sick either.”

“Still, I feel bad about it. It’s really putting you through the wringer.” Cadance sighed and shut the water off.

“Listen to me Honey,” Gleaming said as she turned around. “I’m happy to spend time with you like this, even when the waves make me literally lose my lunch, you’re there for me. Don’t feel bad, okay?”

“You’re right, you’re right.” Cadance relented before kissing Gleaming. Gleaming returned the kiss for a moment before pulling back.

“Ugh, sorry, I still need to wash my mouth out.” Gleaming said as she leaned against her alicorn lover. As they embraced she noticed Cadance's bulge, and blushed hotly. “Uh, Cadance. I can’t help but notice your package pressing against me.”

Cadence blushed brightly, and buried her face in the crook of Gleaming’s neck. It was Gleaming’s turn to do the comforting, at least for a moment. “Cadance, it’s okay.”

“It’s not!” Cadance whined, almost like a school filly. “It…I-”

“Hush Cadance, it is okay.” Gleaming cut her off as she stroked her lover’s mane.

“But it’s not, I shouldn’t get turned on by seeing you like that.” Cadance said as she held her face against Gleaming’s neck.

“Look, Cadance…” Gleaming said as she forced Cadance’s face away from her neck, and made her look her in the eye. “I don’t mind, I’ve heard of weirder stuff from the guards, trust me.”

“I… okay, I believe you. I just, you know I didn’t suggest this cruise because of that right?” Cadance asked as she looked at Gleaming with a worried expression.

“Of course I know that. You suggested that because we had wanted to before and hadn’t had the time until now.” Gleaming replied as she leaned in and kissed her princess. They broke the kiss after a few moments. “Now, let’s go see if they’ll take us to the islands yet and if we can bring a couple of the chaise lounges so we can sunbathe without getting covered in sand.”

Cadance nodded and followed Gleaming out of the shower. They dried off rather quickly thanks to Cadance’s magic and were on their way to the islands before long, the crew more than happy to accommodate them. Once on the beach they set up their chaise lounges and relaxed in the warm morning’s sun.
