You, yes, you, want to stay up for New Year's eve, but your mom and your tiny filly body have other ideas. Looks like being a child again has some drawbacks after all.
You, the nameless faceless HiE reader, are Celestia's five-year-old adoptive daughter and it's New Year's Eve. You've always stayed up until midnight, at least, to welcome the new year. It's something of a tradition for you, and while it's great to be a child again, you come face to face with an age-old enemy: Bed Time. Through sheer will power, you will overcome the realities of your tiny body, or not. Your mom is pretty sharp, even in retirement.
