Dark. The first thing that registered in my mind was that it was dark.
Smells… spicy. No, not really spicy – “minty” is a better word for it. I sniffed a whiff of the scent to confirm my suspicions. That’s definitely peppermint.

My heart thundered so loudly in my chest that it might as well have been echoing around the room. “H-how do you…” I shook my head. “Only my best friends call me that!”
“Really, Dashie?” At the mention of my nickname, I felt a strange tingling down an unspeakable part of my body. “After all these years, you still can’t recognize my voice even when you’re blindfolded?”
I grunted in frustration. I swear I know that voice! But I’m a hundred and twenty percent sure that this creep isn’t one of my best friends. They’d never do something like this to me.
My ears flicked upright when I heard the subtle clinking of metal and muffled thumping on hardwood floor. I felt the mare’s presence approach at every clink and thump which grew louder and louder. My breath hitched in fear as I braced myself for the worst.
Goodbye, cruel world! I shut my eyes tight (even though it was unnecessary since I already can’t see) and gritted my teeth to suppress any screams of pain that are to come forth…
But the only sound that came out of me was a gasp – and not of unease.
She ran her, I assumed, stocking-covered hoof along my hindleg. It snaked excruciatingly slowly up my thigh, the contact of nylon fabric (props to Rarity for forcing me to sit through lectures about different fabric textures) pleasurably electrifying. The walls were built solely with logs and most of the furniture are made of wood. I found that the source of the minty smell that permeated the room is from the red-and-white striped, peppermint-scented candles which served as the only light source in the room.
When my gaze finally focused on the pony in front of me, I scrutinized every detail about her. Her lavender body was encased in a short, scarlet polyester dress with white fur trim and a black belt around her waist. Black nylon stockings enveloped her four legs. To top it all off, she wore a hat that matched her dress. Her indigo mane had streaks of purple and pink, her bangs accenting her lavender eyes.
As she smiled down at me, something clicked that made the cogwheels in my head stir to life again.
I looked at the horn protruding from her head, then to the wings sticking out her sides.
My eyes went as wide as saucers and my pupils shrunk to pinpricks.
“TWILIGHT!”
I shot out of my pillow panting heavily as beads of sweat ran down my face and matted my fur. It took me a long time to recover from my outburst and an even longer time to realize I was back on my own bed, in my own house, with no trace of a purple pony – or more specifically, the princess of friendship.
I was surprised to find I was disappointed that that was all just a dream. A dream about Twilight Sparkle no less, who’s one of my best friends. I shouldn’t even be surprised ‘cause my mind has been generating wet dreams of her for months now, but I can’t help but ask why. I frantically checked my clock and I only panicked more seeing the time.
“It’s past noon?! I’m gonna be late!”

I had my hair done into two ponytails and, even though I insisted it was enough, Rarity added a white tiara designed with star patterns. I gotta admit, I look awesome! I still think the tiara is too over-the-top but at least my attire doesn’t have as much overexaggerated flair as Rarity’s. Now I’m a little worried about how many pegasi and/or birds she murdered to get so many feathers just for a dress.
Speaking of flair, turns out Twilight applied as much flair to her Hearth’s Warming party as comprehensively possible.
“Woah…”
I stared in awe at the new and improved Friendship Castle adorned with festive lights, wreaths, glowing lanterns, and streamers galore. Despite the vibrant colors of the décor, the way it was set still managed to look pleasing and reflected Twilight’s inner perfectionism and organization. Practically the entire town was crowded outside wearing their own outfits that obeyed the dress code. I spotted Pinkie Pie in front of the doors greeting ponies and giving out candy canes before letting them inside.
As I neared the entrance of the castle, Pinkie waved a hoof at me gesturing for me to come to her. I complied, dragging the cart along the short staircase leading to the open double doors.
“Dashie, you came!” Pinkie flashed her usual big and bright smile and conjoined us both in a hug. She pulled away after a few seconds and looked me over. “Wow! Rarity really outdid herself. You. Look. Gorgeous!”
“I can’t believe I let myself get groomed and don’t regret it,” I chuckled. “But thanks. You look…” My eyes traced her rather balloony dress, then retreated to Pinkie’s waiting gaze. “…Whimsical!”
The party planner squealed and hopped around me. “Thank you, thank you, thank you! That’s the first compliment I’ve gotten this evening!”
I felt bad for sugarcoating my response, so I tried to find something in her getup that I actually liked. “You know what, the top hat looks really good on you. And no one can top the whole pastel theme more than you.”
“Awww, that’s so sweet of you!” She settled back in front of me and pulled off her top hat, reaching inside it to reveal a candy cane. “Speaking of sweet, may I treat you with a candy cane?”
I nodded eagerly and accepted it. “Happy Hearth’s Warming, Dashie!” she greeted me cheerfully.
“Thanks! Happy Hearth’s Warming, Pinks!” I said with the cane in between my teeth, then I entered inside while I devoured my free treat.
If I thought the outside was big and grand, the inside is something else entirely.
Garlands of different colors wrapped around every crystal pillar, string lights and streamers were strewn about the ceilings, and glittering balloons floated freely around the spacious foyer. The sequined curtains even matched the occasion and were tied up by alternating red and green ribbons, along with the swirl-patterned carpet that blanketed the entirety of the floor. There were so many details to take in, but what caught my eye first and foremost was the huge tree that was placed in the center. It must be standing half the height of the length from the floor to the ceiling. You could tell that whoever decorated it must’ve put a lot of effort and time into prettying it up to perfection, or had others help them out. Or Pinkie Pie confetti-cannoned the whole tree. Either way, the ornaments and the glowing star on top are on point. This is the biggest and fanciest Hearth’s Warming tree I’ve ever seen!
“Hey, Rainbow Dash!”
Spike’s voice snapped me out of my reverie. I looked over to his direction and saw the little dragon walking up to me, wearing a black tuxedo and a top hat, both embroidered with a red ribbon.
“Hey, Spike,” I said. I smirked and nudged him playfully. “Dressing to impress, are you?”
He gave away the already obvious answer with the deep blush staining his cheeks. “Whaaa—? I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
I snatched the top hat from his head and put it on mine, ruffling his spikes. “Sure, you don’t, Rarity.”
“Aaanyways,” he shooed my hoof away with a roll of his eyes, “let me show you where you’re gonna put your gifts under the tree.”
Returning the hat to him, I raised a brow. “Everyone’s ‘gift spots’ are catalogued?”
“Twilight’s hosting this party; what did you expect?”
We both shared a brief laugh before we stopped somewhere in front of the tree. I transferred all my presents to the empty spot reserved for them and after that, Spike pointed me to the umbrella and coat racks where I could park my cart next to them.
As soon as I put my saddle on the cart, I heard a loud clinking noise that sounded like it was right next to a microphone. “Attention, everypony!”
My ears flicked at that honeyed voice of authority I knew all too well. I barely hid the skip in my steps as I turned around…

It’s Twilight Sparkle alright, but what astonished me was what she was wearing.

I found myself face-to-face with Applejack, who had a smug grin on her face. “Y’ur lookin’ mighty fancy for a Rainbow Dash, by the way.”
I gave her a brief glare, then I forced a grin and replied, “Same goes to you, farm girl,” before returning my gaze to the mare flying in front of the tree, still clinking her glass of champagne to get everyone’s attention. I blinked a few times out of utter disbelief to confirm that she was indeed wearing the same exact outfit she wore in my dream.
You know how ponies say dreams can be predictions or reflections of our deepest feelings? I’m convinced this dream is a bit of both.
“Umm, Rainbow Dash?”
I jumped at the new voice despite its softness and exasperatedly turned to the newcomer. I was so done with everyone sneaking up on me and interrupting me in the middle of my business.
“What is it now?” I snapped, making Fluttershy cower and hide behind her mane.
“I’m so sorry, I-I didn’t mean to startle you! I was just going to ask if your wings are okay,” she said hurriedly, taking a few steps back.
I winced guiltily. Out of all the ponies I could lash out on, did Fluttershy really have to be the first choice?
“Oh, no, no, don’t apologize! I’m sorry, Shy. I didn’t know that was y— Wait, what did you just say?”
I looked at my precious appendage that’s always granted me freedom and helped me achieve my lifelong dream of becoming a Wonderbolt, only to find, to my horror, that it’s been erect for who knows how long. Every pluck of feather stood on end, every bone and joint remained stiff and unmoving; one flex and it’d cause a searing pain to surge through all the flight muscles.
Fuck.
“Err, Ah’m no pegasus expert but that looks pretty bad. Right, Fluttershy?” Applejack commented, looking to the only other pegasus beside us. The canary mare stared back and forth between my wingboner and my pleading eyes, her face flushed under the dim lights of the hall. “Umm, yes, that’s right. But it’s nothing serious and the… stiffness will subside after a few minutes.”
“Well, that’s good to hear. But might Ah know why y’ur wing’s like that in the first place?” Applejack narrowed her eyes at me. My eyes went wide in panic. Shitshitshit, what do I say? I can’t lie to the Celestia-damned Element of Honesty!
“It means she’s excited,” Fluttershy quickly intervened, cutting off any kind of stammering I was about to spit out that’d give away the lies behind it. On the downside, my blush deepened at Shy’s reason ‘cause it was technically true; I could only hope that Applejack wouldn’t notice it.
“It happens to all pegasi; in this case, she’s excited that the party is about to start. She’s really been looking forward to the free buffet, right, Rainbow?”
I knew I’d blow my cover if I opened my mouth, so I nodded my head. Luckily, AJ bought it and dropped the topic. Sighing in relief, I turned to my fillyhood friend and gave her a grateful smile which she returned. Then, her lips morphed into a knowing smirk that clearly translated to, “Hold it in until after the party, will ya?”
I held in another blush – I so didn’t wanna embarrass myself more tonight – and turned back to the alicorn in the spotlight who had long since stopped clinking her glass. She magically brought it down for Spike to hold on to, then she proceeded with her opening speech. “Hello, everypony! Thank you so much for coming to our Hearth’s Warming Eve party.”
The whole room was filled with the sounds of ponies stomping and cheering, lasting only for a few seconds before Twilight silenced them all with an effective, “Alright, alright, settle down, everypony.”
How the hell can she control everyone that easily? Is that why she’s always the top in my dreams?
At that thought, heat arose in my cheeks as I felt a trickle of my fluids run down my leg.
Twilight blabbered on about this and that, something about food and presents or whatever, but I didn’t pay attention to any word she said – I couldn’t pay attention when the mare who was talking was even more engrossing. I simply listened to her speak, enjoying the sound of her voice which is basically equivalent to the sound of music to my ears. I reveled in her presence that made every creature she stood before bow down to her majesty. She really has grown a lot of confidence and strong leadership over the years. Back when she was just a unicorn librarian, she only stepped up to lead when we were battling crazy villains who wanted to take over Equestria. But ever since she showed off her crazy talented magical skills by saving Ponyville from the jaws of an ursa minor, she’s been coming out of her shell to show her true leader potential. Like that one time when she organized the roles each tribe had to accomplish and saved Winter Wrap Up; after that, she’s always been Mayor Mare’s first choice when it comes to organizing and planning anything. Well, look at her now – she’s one of the princesses that ponies respect and idolize, and yet she remains her humble self. I envy that about her sometimes, but that doesn’t make me adore her less.
I haven’t even started with her looks – god, it’s always the nerds, isn’t it? I’ve always been attracted to mares, but I found myself leaning more on the brainiacs. I’ve been convincing myself since flight school up till some time I met Twi that liking eggheads makes me an egghead, too, which I thought was so uncool and I tried to hide it even though Fluttershy could see right through me. But honestly… Anyone who doesn’t think Twilight is attractive is obviously either lying or is straight, or they’ve never seen her before. Sure, she doesn’t have an athlete’s body but she clearly maintains a healthy diet and grooms herself properly (unlike me). I smiled at the memory of her preening her wings for the first time. She’d just finished practicing flying and came to me for help with preening, which I happily accepted. That was probably the most intimate moment I’ve ever had with her ‘cause based on pegasus culture, preening someone else’s wings is generally a romantic gesture. I was a little disappointed that she didn’t go that far into pegasus culture yet at that time.
Her coat is dyed the prettiest shade of violet. Her mane is a galactic splash of colors combined with the texture of literal silk – seriously, she must have some kind of magic brush or something. I love how her bangs frame her cute face and bring out those amethyst eyes – those amethyst eyes that always sparkles whenever she finds a chance to research and experiment and determinedly glints whenever she faces dangerous beasts or a good challenge.
Everything about her is beautiful and all but if I’m being honest here, her flank has got to be my favorite part of her body. Not only does she have an awesome cutie mark, but the way her flank bounces whenever she walks is so mesmerizing – not to mention the way her tail sways…
I was snapped back to reality by the second and last wave of stomping and clapping that echoed across the room, and I only noticed now the pool of drool collecting itself in my mouth from daydreaming about Twilight, which is the same thing that’s happening down my swimsuit region.
Suddenly, I wasn’t hungry anymore. I didn’t care about the huge buffet provided in the dining room which everyone was excitedly and hungrily lining up to enter (it’s in one of the doors that lined up the hall). There was only one thing that mattered to me at the moment.
I had to get myself off.
Rarity, Pinkie, Applejack, and Starlight all stared at me, dumbfounded. Fluttershy, on the other hoof, wore a neutral expression that resembled the same face of a foal trying not to laugh while their parents are scolding their younger sister/brother.
“Are you sure you aren’t hungry, darling?” Rarity asked.
“Yeah, you kept saying how much you couldn’t wait to try the free buffet,’” Starlight said.
Pinkie waved a hoof in front of Starlight’s face. “No, no, no, I think she said something like, ‘I would die for Hearth’s Warming Eve to come faster so I can devour 90% of the free buffet,’” she acted out the whole sentence with the same melodrama each word punctuated.
I blinked in confusion, shook my head, and sighed, “Yeah, I’m sure. I ate a lot of, uh, stuff before I came here ‘cause Rares held me hostage in her boutique for hours to ‘make adjustments’ to my dress. Like— dude, it already takes me half an hour to get fitted ‘cause I move around too much.” Technically, that wasn’t entirely a lie, so I had a good alibi going for me.
Rarity huffed and turned her back towards me. “How dare you?! You could’ve at least pretended to be grateful that I prepared an ensemble for you for this occasion!” She stomped off angrily; the maintained poise in her march only made it so much funnier. “Have it your way, then. We will make sure to leave but no crumb or dollop of food left for you.”
Applejack let out a snicker when the unicorn was a few feet away from hearing range. “Well then, Ah guess we better head on. What’re you plannin’ to do all the while, though?” she asked me.
I shuffled my hindlegs at the reminder of the dripping fluids that’s most likely staining the inside of my dress. Maybe I should’ve been more grateful to Rarity for making me a long dress. “Oh, I was just gonna go check on Tank and refill his bowl, maybe practice some of the tricks I’ve been working on – basically anything that would make me, uh, regain my appetite so I can try some of the food here. You guys go ahead and have fun.” I adapted my usual ego and tilted my head to brush aside my bangs, striking a pose. “And don’t worry ‘bout me; I’ll be there as soon as possible in case the party really needs my awesomeness.” All three of them rolled their eyes at the last part.
They bid me goodbye – well, more like a “see you later” – before they headed to the dining room, leaving me alone in the now empty foyer. I don’t know if Starlight and Applejack noticed something off with my excuse, but the weather right now isn’t in the best condition for flight. So, I had no choice but to find somewhere secluded in this castle for my… business.
After roaming around the hallways for a couple of minutes, the tingling in my nether region and the rock solidity of my wings became too much to ignore, so I just went for it and opened the first door I saw.
I slapped my face with a hoof. “Seriously? It had to be Twilight’s bedroom?”
I whimpered at the uncomfortable sensations growing stronger. I had no choice.
I closed the door and plopped onto the bed, kicking my shoes off and making myself comfortable. The absolute wrongness of wetting someone else’s bed is Future Me’s problem; right now, I had bigger ones to deal with.
