Most would think that it was for resources or food and while it is mostly true, there is another reason. They wanted to get rid of Yujiro Hanma once and for all. He is a threat far greater than any military on the planet. He is so feared by each and every government that even countries like North Korea decided to help with research. But now is the time that the 'Ogre' was taken care of. And this time, they will succeed.
