Bounty Stories: Chrysalis, Mistress of the Rancid Mists

In the vast lands of Feudal Equestria, there are many dangerous ninja ponies with varying degrees of lethality. However, very few have mastered their capabilities to take down their foes and not kill them swiftly. Chrysalis was one of those few who consistently completed their mission without fail or fatality.

This is a rare commodity to find in their lands. Chrysalis looked into the Bingo Books to find one target that interested her immensely; personally recalling from a previous point in her life that she's had a very unpleasant experience with her, Chrysalis was all too happy to accept this mission.

"So, I'll receive a double payment if I bring her in alive? That's tempting. And looking through here-" She had a very pleased look in her eyes, "Starlight Glimmer, eh? Consider it done. She and I have a score to settle, too."

"I'll leave this to you then, and I pity her. You're one of the last ponies anyone wants to fight against."

"Starlight. I understand that you most recently graduated from our academy, but understand that this is your first official mission."

"Yes. I'll be happy to accept this recon mission, Celestia. You can count on me." Starlight saluted Celestia as she listened to her further.

"This will not be guaranteed to be easy. You'll have to utilize both your magic and your chakra in unison to be able to succeed. I pray to you for your safe return here to Canterlot."

"Thanks, Princess. I will not fail you." Starlight then bowed before leaving to begin her mission.

"Hey, Twilight. I'm leaving now for my first mission. I'll be back, though."

"Just be careful, Starlight."

"Don't worry. I will be." Starlight bade Twilight goodbye for the time being as she made her way out from the village she was in and down the path into the Everfree Forest.

"So, I'm supposed to go through here again? I'm not too fond of this forest. It's just really unsettling." She also noticed that a few trees and patches of grass were wilting and rotting, shriveling up and dying from what was presumed to be a form of poison. "You always were bad at using chakra, Starlight. I'm surprised Celestia would send someone like you alone to take on a simple recon mission. You have had a bounty over your head. No idea why, nor do I particularly care. The green is good for my efforts."
