Double Date

The light blue unicorn batpony floated the burning king-joint to her mouth while sitting at the table, she looked at the smiling spiky maned batpony across from her and said, “So uh, we’re together now!” before pursing her lips and inhaling to take a drag and make the cherry glow after moving her wavy violet mane from her face with her right forehoof…

Dusk Shine nods her head while her magenta spikes bounce, “Wow! Only three weeks this time!”

Gabriela exhales smoke out the right side of her mouth before giggling, smiling her fanged grin, and says, “Yeah, so uh, what’s next?” before pursing her lips to take another drag while her sky-blue slitted eyes look onward and her fluffy ears perch in Dusk’s direction.

Dusk blinks, “Uh, how would I know?” and frowns so her fangs lower slightly while her ears lower to her sides.

Gabriela floats the joint from her mouth in her blue glow while her cheeks stay puffed with the smoke and Dusk sees the joint floating towards her with her greenish-yellow slitted eyes and collects it mid-air with her right forehoof before bringing the stogie to her fanged mouth for a drag, “Uh, there’s uh, what else can we do, other than just smoke and get bucked up together?” before closing her lips for a puff.

Dusk removes the joint with her forehoof and exhales smoke between her and Gabriela, “Well uh, we can always have sex again?” before moving it back to her mouth between her two fangs and inhaling again, to make the cherry glow as her eyes narrow and she tastes the smoke on her tongue as it slides down her throat.

Gabriela frowns, “We already did that two hours ago, though…” she frowns deeper, “And while you’re definitely getting better with your tongue, I kinda wanted something different tonight?”

Dusk takes the joint from her mouth with her right forehoof again and raises it to signal the unicorn as she exhales smoke between the two ponies, “Well uh, you like coffee, right? Wanna go to the coffee shop over on the west side of town?”

Gabriela smiles as she looks at the joint and forces it to glow and float towards her through the air, “Well, yeah! There’s always that!” the joint turns around and floats into her mouth before she says out the right side, “I wanted something different, but things just aren’t that interesting in Ponyville!” before pursing her lips and inhaling to make the end glow red.

Dusk smiles, “Yeah, it’s usually pretty sleepy around here, right?” she widens her eyes, “Well uh, hey! We can always go on another apple raid at Sweet Apple Acres, down south?” she leans forward slightly, “I mean, I don’t think they know we’re doing it and as long as we keep destroying the evidence…”

Gabriela exhales smoke between the two ponies and smiles her fanged grin before chirping, “But didn’t we hit them yesterday?” before closing her lips on the joint and inhaling.

Dusk sighs, “Well that’s true and we definitely don’t wanna do it too often…” she looks down and frowns, before blinking and looking back up at the unicorn, “Well uh, I guess we are going for coffee?”

Gabriela widens her eyes while the joint glows blue and floats from the front of her mouth as she exhales smoke between the two ponies at the table. “I guess so!”

Dusk steps out the door first with spiky black leather anklets now on her forelegs and a black leather vest on as Gabriela steps behind her, wearing her new saddlebags.

Gabriela looks to the right and magically shuts the door as her eyes dart back to her new dark green leather saddlebags, with two draped chains on the side inside a larger draped chain and a distinctive batpony skull design near the top of the layout. Her eyes go forward as her head turns back to the punk rocker batpony, “I can’t believe you chose this for my new saddlebags!”

Dusk widens her eyes and chirps back, “What? It looks cool! You got batpony skulls and chains and the color really goes well with your coat!”

Gabriela smiles and giggles, “Well, okay, I guess, but uh,” she looks at Dusk intently, “Does it really match my style that well?” before frowning.

Dusk frowns, “Uh, what style, Gabriela?” she blinks, “I got my punk rock thing going on, but you’re about as plain and standard issue as they come!”

Gabriela widens her eyes, “Yeah, but I mean, do you think I could pull off punk rock?”

Dusk blinks and widens her eyes again, “Well uh, maybe a metal-pony look is more your speed? How do you feel about Five Feet Under, Lamb of Celestia, and Self-Kill Silence?”

Gabriela blinks and narrows her mouth, “I’ve never heard of any of those bands…”

Dusk giggles, “Well uh, maybe Job for a Cowpony? No?” she shakes her head, “Well, let’s go drink some coffee!”

Gabriela trots forward to the south and Dusk soon joins her on her right side and looks in her direction, “So uh, enjoying our relationship, baby?”

Gabriela smiles dimly, “Yeah, it’s just that, well…”

Dusk leans towards the unicorn, “Well, what, baby?”

Gabriela sighs, “Well, I mean, there’s gotta be other stuff we can do, right?” she blinks, “We smoke out, have sex, go to movies, eat together, and we can’t forget our nuzzle-snuggle sessions, but…” she gulps, “Was there anything else?” before frowning.

Dusk sighs as she looks at the other batpony, “I know what you mean, but it’s like, “she blinks and frowns, “I just don’t have any ideas, you know? I don’t think it’s really anypony’s fault?”

Gabriela smiles dimly, “I know that baby and I’m not blaming you… “she smiles brighter, “I mean, hey! If you gotta be bored, it’s better to be bored with somepony you love, right?”

Dusk smiles back and giggles slightly, “Well, right!”

Starlight smiles at her blue marefriend in magician’s garb sitting across from her, “Trixie, these nightly coffee runs are great! Gives me just the pick-me-up I need after dinner!”

Trixie forces her pointed purple starry magician’s hat to glow blue and rise above her head to float towards the table and land on top of it to her left as she looks back at the magenta unicorn before her and smiles, “Well, you gotta keep the flame alive when you’re in a relationship and I thought this would be a good idea!” before looking down to her white coffee mug and making it glow blue.

Starlight is magically taking a sip of her double amaretto cappuccino as she tastes the heavenly flavor of the nuts and coffee on her tongue before setting it back down and sighing, “Yeah, the truth is, our lives were getting kinda dull! I mean, evening coffee isn’t some grand adventure across Equestria, but it is something, right?” before smiling at her marefriend with wide blue eyes.

Trixie widens her eyes and ducks down slightly as she leans forward and frantically says, “Don’t jinx it!”

Starlight smiles and giggles, “What? You think that just because I said we haven’t been on an adventure in awhile, that we’ll suddenly just go on one just because I mentioned it?”

Suddenly, Trixie’s cutie mark on her flank in the chair begins to glow and make a humming noise. Trixie looks down at it on her left and then back up at Starlight before narrowing her eyes and mouth, “You were saying?”

Starlight just stares forward blankly before floating her coffee up to her mouth in a violet glow and tilting the cup back into her snout, so she power-swigs the coffee while tilting her head back so her snout faces skyward and then, normalizes her head before making the empty cup float down to the table before frowning at Trixie, “Cutie Map or no, I’m finishing my coffee!”

Trixie giggles and floats her own cup to her mouth to take the final sip before setting it back down again and widening her purple eyes as she says, “Alright! Let’s go!”

Starlight gets out of the chair to her right and Trixie reciprocates before the magenta unicorn begins to trot forward to the east when she notices the two batponies sitting on the table behind where her marefriend was. She only notices them because the green swirls of the spikey maned pony’s cutie mark just happened to be glowing along with the dark unicorn’s purple slash cutie mark. She trots over to that table with Trixie behind her, slightly to the left, “Uh, you’re being called by the Cutie Map!”

Dusk looks at Starlight and chirps something unintelligible at her…

Starlight frowns, “I uh, can’t understand you?”

Suddenly, a perky peppy voice from behind Starlight exclaims, “You need a bat-speak talisman!”

The lavender maned unicorn turns her body behind her to face Pinkie Pie there, smiling at her while her pink head jitters and vibrates with spastic energy and her magenta mane bobs with excitement and while Starlight isn’t sure exactly how much caffeine Pinkie has had by this point, she frowns and says, “What?”

Pinkie smiles and nods, “A bat-speak talisman! It lets batponies speak so we can understand them!! Uh, hang on!” her blue eyes widen as she leans forward slightly, “I keep a couple stashed nearby! In case of bat-speak talisman emergencies!” before darting off to Celestia knows where and leaving the unicorn frowning.

Starlight turns back to Dusk Shine and smiles, “So uh, you’re being called by the Cutie Map!”

Dusk narrows her eyes and chitters back, “I still don’t know what you’re talking about?”

Gabriela looks at her love across the table, “Uh, I don’t think they can understand us?”

Dusk looks to Gabriela and sighs, “Yeah, I know! Non-batponies can’t understand batponies because all our vocal cords are different!”

Gabriela nods and leans forward slightly, “Yeah! Uh, any idea what’s going on with our cutie marks?”

Dusk widens her eyes and frowns, “Not a clue!”

Gabriela shakes her head and giggles ironically, “I asked for something interesting! Me and my big mouth!”

Dusk smiles softly, “Relax! It’s probably just a glitch or something?”

Gabriela widens her eyes as well, “So uh, any idea what this Cutie Map might be?”

Starlight turns her body to the back left to face her love, “Any idea where Pinkie went?”

Trixie is now standing on her hooves with her body facing the unicorn as she frowns unsurely at her, “I’m not sure?” and widens her eyes, “You know Pinkie! She could be anywhere!”

Suddenly, a pink earth pony appears out of nowhere again, but somewhere from the left. She uses her mouth to put a necklace around a frowning spiky maned batpony who’s currently widening her slitted eyes while she sits in her chair.

Dusk suddenly chirps out, “Hey! What are you doing?” as Pinkie brings her body back and smiles because she now knows what the batpony is saying.

Starlight widens her eyes and leans to the punk rocker, “I can understand you now!”

Dusk widens her eyes and chitters in a raspy tomboyish voice to the magenta unicorn, “Really? Finally! Okay uh,” she blinks and briefly stares at Pinkie on her left before back to Starlight, “what is the Cutie Map?”

Starlight smiles as she looks up, “Somehow, I knew tonight would be interesting!”

Dusk Shine speaks to Starlight as they trot into the Castle of Friendship with two other unicorns behind them, “So this map just calls ponies to go to certain places in order for them to do stuff?”

They trot down the hallways as Starlight looks at Dusk on her left, “Right!”

Dusk frowns, “So, how do we know what to do?”

Starlight frowns and widens her eyes, “Well, we gotta figure that out!”

Dusk widens her eyes, “Well uh, shouldn’t it give us some clues or something? I mean,” she blinks, “it’s a friendship problem, right?”

Starlight turns right and Dusk reciprocates to avoid careening into her and turns with her while the other two ponies follow behind, “Well um, it doesn’t…” Starlight frowns, “You know, that would make things a LOT easier!”

Dusk smiles her fanged grin, “You think! By the way, these talismans are really cool!” she leans forward, “Any idea why they’re ornate metal batpony skulls?”

Starlight blinks and frowns, “I have no idea!” she turns her neck forward and says, “We’re here!” and trots over to the pale purple wooden door on her left and forces it to open inward to the right with her blue glow. “Come on in, Dusk and Gabriela!” She says as she trots into the Cutie Room…
