In A flash of light Rainbow Dash appeared in a strange room with a familiar sleeping stallion. Rainbow froze and thought for a few minutes before realizing what happened. She was about to yell in aggravation before covering her muzzle. "Discord." She growled. "This better not be some kind of prank. Or I'm…" She paused and looked at Ray with a sigh.

A few minutes passed as she switched between checking on Ray and looking around at the room. "Ok… looks like some kind of escape room." She muttered. After a few moments, Ray slowly opened his eyes. "Don't freak out." She warned "we're trapped in a room because of Discord."

Ray blinked and looked around. "So… how are we getting out of this?" He asked.

"You're taking this rather well." Rainbow laughed.

"Well he did teleport me miles away from Ponyville. So I doubt it's beyond his power to do something like this." Ray shrugged. "My only question is why."

"No clue." Rainbow replied as she looked around again. "But if we're going to get any answers. We need to find a way out of this room."

Ray sat up and quickly noticed a note. "Looks like the only way out is…" He paused and picked up the note. "A date?"

The two blinked at each other before falling onto their backs in laughter. "You gotta be kidding me." Rainbow gasped. "We hardly know each other. Why would Discord think we'd be a couple?"

"I guess that's why we're in an escape room." Ray laughed. "Our first clue is… an option." Ray explained pointing to the wall where two notes were.

"A song or a… Nope." Rainbow commented. "We're doing a song."

"I'd rather not sing." Ray sighed. "I… I'd rather avoid singing if I can."

"Why? Think you have a bad singing voice?" Rainbow teased. "Because I've heard some bad singers. I doubt you're that bad."

Ray sighed. "And what's wrong with the other option?"

"Because it's way too girly." Rainbow explained. "I don't do dresses."

Ray looked at the options then smiled. "Well. It doesn't say YOU have to wear the dress."

Rainbow thought for a moment before smiling. "Ok. If you're willing to suffer with me. I'll wear the dress."

The two pick out a dress for the other to put on as they laugh at the outfits. Rainbow ended up with a slick silk evening dress and Ray got a shortcut ballay dress.

The two gave each other a little fashion show as they laughed at how hammy the other one was acting as they walked across the room. Once the two had their fun they looked back at the note on the wall.

"Ok. We're dressed up…" Rainbow sighed. "And our first key is… under the note." Rainbow face hoofed as Ray fetched the key.

"At least nopony else will see us like this. Right?" Ray laughed.

"Yea… but hay. If it helps. You look a lot better in that than Big Mac did." Rainbow replied.

Ray thought for a moment. "Maybe it's my history talking. But I suddenly have the urge to teach him how to do it right."

As the two passed through the door to the next room Rainbow stopped and blinked. "Wait… you purposely wore dresses?"

Back in Ponyville

Discord and Fluttershy sat in the map room as little figures of her friends appeared with ponies she partially recognized. "Is there a reason you put some of them in romantic places?" She asked.

"To help those guys to pop the question of course." He replied.

"So… why the puzzles?" She asked, pointing at Rainbow's figure.

"She's not the girly type. So I thought a challenge would help get the two closer."

Fluttershy glared at him for a moment as a flash of light herald the arrival of two more ponies.

"Cadence! Shining! Welcome. You're just in time." Discord cheered.

"I have my eyes on you." Shining warned.

"Yes yes. Get in line." Discord huffed. "Really. You and Crysy need to cut me some slack."

All eyes turned to him in shock as the three shouted in unison. "CHRYSALIS IS BACK!"

At that moment Chrysalis sneezed before letting out a huff. "Maybe I should do some dusting."

Back in the unknown building

Rainbow and Ray looked at a hall of obvious traps. "It's going to take us hours to find a safe route through this." Rainbow sighed.

Ray let out a sigh as he looked at a note on the wall. "Or we can swallow our pride and dance."

"Really?" Rainbow replied, looking at him in disbelief. "How is dancing going to help?"

"You'd be surprised how many things can be accomplished with dancing." He countered. "Plus it literally in Discord's notes. Or do you think dancing is too girly?"

"This ain't no truth or dare." Rainbow laughed and turned to him with a confident smile. "Just don't have the song be too lame."

With a nod, Ray tapped a few panels on the wall before stepping up to the line. As music started to fill the room, Ray listened for a few notes before making his way into the obstacle course.

Rainbow sat back and bobbed her head to the beat before joining him. It didn't take long for the two to be side by side as they danced their way across the floor.

Once on the other side of the room, the two shared a laugh as they walked to the next room.

A rather weak title. But I wasn't really able to pick a better song for this character. I'll try and think of a better song for the next chapter. Oh. And the drama is coming soon. I just want to get some of the romantic stuff out of the way. For now at least.
