Ray slowly opened his eyes as he lifted his head. After some moments he noticed a few things. First was the location. Where there was grass and a lake was now what looked like a pet shelter vomited on a living room. The second thing was what he was laying on. Blinking, he slowly looked down to see a large brown bear. Gulping, he looked around once more. As he went to move however the bear wrapped its arm around him pulling him close. To Ray's shock the large animal started to suck on his ear.

"Oh my." A suave voice commented on the sight as a strange creature drifted in holding a plate of pancakes. "He doesn't normally do that with ponies he just met. Oh how rude of me." The creature paused and set the food on the table before bowing as he crossed his lion paw across his chest. "I am the lord of chaos. Discord." Ray opened his mouth to speak as Discord put an eagle talon against his lip. "Yes, I brought you here. Yes, I know Fluttershy. Yes, this is her home. Yes, she knows you're here. And no, she didn't send me to get you." With a cheeky smile he added. "Does that answer your questions?"

Ray sighed and carefully pulled himself from the bear's grip before sitting at the table. "Got any rum?" Discord thought for a moment before snapping his fingers, summoning a mug next to the salad. "Thanks." Ray sighed. "If it's not too much of a problem. Don't tell anyone about this."

"Why?"

Ray took a swig before letting out a sigh. "I... I don't know. I just..." Sighing he saw Discord sit next to him with a slightly concerned look on his face. "I came here looking for some peace from the crowds and spotlight... but now..."

"You're worried that the spotlight followed you." Discord finished with a sigh. "I'm not going to apologize for bringing you here." Hearing his confession Ray looked at Discord in shock and realization. "But consider this. Would you rather a place that your popularity is a bonus or where it rules you?" As Ray considered the question, Discord continued. "If you want. I may be able to whip something up. So you can do what you love. Or I can set you up with one of my..."

"No." Ray interrupted seeing where he was going. "Thanks but I think I'll stay single..." He finished giving the doubtful creature a hopefully convincing smile. "And if you don't mind waiting a few... weeks. I might take you up on the other offer. I just need some time to... adjust."

"Really? Would it help if I got you a place of your own? Away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Not to say there's much hustle in Ponyville." Discord asked, muttering the last part.

"Maybe?" Ray replied lamely as he looked to the door. "I just feel like... I'm just.."

"A one trick pony?" Discord questioned, causing Ray to look at him with a nod. After a moment Discord laughed. "Don't be ridiculous. I've seen what you can do. And trust me. Not a single creature will think..." just then a sly smirk crossed his face. "You know what? I might have an idea on where you can stay."

"Really?"

"Remote... easy for YOU to get to... spacious... ya. That would be a good fit." Discord concluded with a nod.

"Where? And more importantly why are you helping me so much?"

"I just want to help a friend in need. As for where it is. How about I just send you and the girls can come find you?"

"Say what now?" Ray protested.

Before another word was said Discord snapped his talons, sending Ray with his food and drink to wherever the creature had planned, moments before Fluttershy trotted in.

"Hello Fluttershy. Did your shopping trip go well?"

"Yes Discord." She replied with a smile that quickly faded when she saw Ray was missing. "Discord? Where's Ray?"

"Ray?" Discord asked in mock confusion. "I don't know. He was here a moment ago." He said looking around from his seat.

"Discord please. Where is he?" She asked, clearly not buying his act.

"Come now dear. I have to build the suspense somehow." He laughed. "Besides were only seven hundred twenty four words into the chapter... make that thirty two."

"What?..." Shaking her head, Fluttershy turned to the door. "Never mind. I'll get the girls hopefully when I get back you'll be ready to explain yourself." With that she flew off leaving Discord alone in the hut.

"While she's gone. I guess I can have a bit of fun." He chuckled as an auctioneer outfit appeared on him. "Ok readers who want to take bets on where I sent him? Come on. There's no wrong guesses. Well... other than Manehattan. That's just cruel. Come on now. Let's see what folks think the answer is. Hurry now before..."

Twilight's Castle

Twilight groaned as she looked around at the map room. Letting out a sigh at the mess that was covering half of it, and the piles Spike made from the other half. "Tell me Spike. What happened?"

"You mean other than getting drunk off one mug and asking Big Mac out?" Spike asked nonchalantly as he sniffed a damp cloth before tossing it in the trash with a gag. "Not much..."

"I... did... what?"

"Yup. Right in front of Applejack... the girls laughed a bit at your attempt."

"Oh Celestia."

"Ya.... you have a date with him tomorrow."

At this Twilight jumped to her hooves and immediately regretted it as she rubbed her forehead. "When?... ouch.... please tell me you're joking."

"Well... you did call him a sexy pegasus." Spike said as Twilight blushed. "And he had a hot slender bod..." Twilight gulped as her eyes widened. "And you mentioned his soft voi-"

"Spike! I think when I asked Big Mac out it was meant for..." Twilight turned pale.

"Ya... so did he."
