Sludge has decided to come clean and confess to Spike that he is in fact not his biological father, after briefly working through the shame, guilt and betrayal of it all, Spike decides to make the unorthodox choice of befriending Sludge and offering to let him stay at the castle on the condition that he gets a job. This leads to an unlikely friendship blossoming into something a little more intimate that makes them close.
