As well as things have gone in Equestria for the past several years, the nearby Griffon Nation has suffered through a great deal of problems, despite the magnificent rise of Princess Dusk Wind. Still, the nation seems under the grip of a new cultural era. Brothers Noel and Liam Cloudburst, symbols of the hot 'New Manechester sound', both receive invitations from Princess Wind, known for her shimmering beauty and distinct resemblance of Equestria's beloved Cadance, and her controversial Prime Minister, pony ex-patriot and tycoon Jet Set, to a glamorous event promoting foal's musical education. Noel feels rather unhappy about the griffon government's treatment of non-griffons, particularly Jet Set's austerity measures on schools, and he wonders if he makes a mistake even coming to an official government event.

Noel wants to get things across to her one way or another. Meanwhile, both brothers fall in love with the same mare, a beautiful orange earth pony from a small Equestrian town called Ponyville. Noel and Liam's natural rivalry comes to a head.

I don't why I felt like turning the members of Oasis, one of my favorite bands ever, into ponies and shipping them with Applejack. I suppose I can only answer 'because I can'.
