Off the Grid Season 5

Pixel, and Vampra walked among the huge graveyard, looking for Scarlett Twinkle's grave, as Pixel lead the way. They came to the molesium, as Vampra spoke. "And here we are....her final resting place" Vampra told her, as Pixel looked at the run down area.

"It doesn't seem like she's been resting much.....these door's are massive" Pixel gazed in wonder.

"Use the cup" Vampra told her, as she raised the cursed chalice in her hand; the groud rumbled, and the huge door's in front of them opened, as female demonic laughter was heard from inside. "After you " Vampra suggested. Pixel walked in un-easingly, as she went deep inside with Vampra following her.

"Look....that must be her grave" Pixel pointed out, as she went toward's it, and froze. Vampra was struck with confusion, as she approached Pixel.

"Pixel?" She asked, as Pixel looked at the grave, dropping her sword in horror.

"N-No....i-it c-can't be...this was your fate, this is what happened to you, when you left our people....no, how did I not see this, how could I recognize you? I thought that what you did to Stryker, what you did to all your vicitm's. I thought you were a heartless monster all this time.....but...all of what you have done, all of what you've been doing....all of it is not your action's. You were corrupted, just like they were when the Great Nightmare war started." Pixel hummed sadly, as she ran her hand over the name on the grave which was labled with two word's.....Twilight Sparkle.

"Pixel what are you talking about?" Vampra told her.

"Scarlett isn't the one in control of the Nightmare Realm....someone else is, and has been using her, as a puppet this entire time" Pixel told her.

"WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?" Vampra shouted in disbelief.

"The story you told me was true, but there were part's about it that weren't true, and ones you didn't know yourself. The princess in your story was Twilight Sparkle, the leader of my people, and the place I came from.....Equestria. A long time ago....The Grid was replaced with Equestria, ruled by her best teacher's. Princess Luna, and Princess Celestia were watching over the world, with Twilight Sparkle next in line for the throne. All of them were gentle ruler's with Twilight Sparkle being with her friend's, and praised among our kind, but it didn't last long....." Pixel explained, as Vampra listened to her intently.

"One day, a being of Nightmare's, possibly a very ancient version of the Nightmare Realm released two demon's who wanted to bring their warped twisted kind into our world for eternity, they corrupted Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna, turning them into their worst dark specter's......Nightmare Moon, and Daybreaker. It wasn't near Twilight's defeat where everything went wrong....but when she had nearly won the Nightmare War" Pixel told her.

"How exactly do you know that?" Vampra asked.

"Because I was there" Pixel answered.

Stryker, and Clint were both almost treating me most of time, like I was defenseless, but Stryker treated me more like an equal than Clint did. He even said that I would have potential to be his equal in the war, to which I had secretly joined. I was placed under Twilight's command, as "The Masked Mistress" A good gunslinger with my best special demon hunting pistol's one pink, and the other a pretty blue. I named them "Kiss, and Lust" they were my babies, and I could pack a punch. We had recieved word from Canterlot, the main castle where the head two princesses lived, that Stryker had killed Daybreaker. Nightmare Moon had gathered what little forces she had left, and hid in the Everfree forest, a cursed flora of life. She set up a defensive wall, as her last stand. We all chipped in to defeat her, but she was stubborn, and her wall would not fall

Pixel raced past with her two gun's in hand, keeping the mask tightly on her face, as she fired relentlessly, spent shell's spilling out, as her bullet's rang out into the night sky. Many demon's continued to flock around the defense, her gun's rang with the bullet's that she emptied, as she used every skill she could to defeat them. She, and her team were doing their best to break through the defense. For a minute she froze, and checked her team. They were doing their best to break through, but the demon's were hardening their defense, and her team was starting to get wiped out.

"KEEP PUSHING....WE HAVE TO BREAK THROUGH!!!!!!" Pixel shouted, as her gun's continued to ring, as she tore through her enemies, seeing the defense wall itself that was made of Nightmare magic. "I see it....I see the wall" She shouted, as she tried to reach it, gunning down, and pushing demons out of the way.

"Mistress....they're pushing us back, and we're losing ponies fast....WE HAVE TO ABORT!!!!!!" A pony over the radio shouted, as Pixel turned on her radio, still gunning down as many demons, as she could before replying.

"KEEP PUSHING.....WE'RE ALMOST THERE!!!!!!" She shouted.

"Mistress, we're not gonna make it in time....WE WON'T GET TO THE WALL....If we don't fall back, we die" The pony shouted. Pixel froze for a minute, as she looked back at where her team was, and he was right....if they continued, she would make it to the wall, but that wall itself would be her grave. Pixel had an idea, as she jumped onto a rock, and leaped backward, firing a single bullet to the wall, to test how fortified it was. It made a huge hole in the dark magic area, but the wall still held.

Pixel turned, and used whatever strength she had left to gun down more of the demon's flocking her teamates. "Everypony, fall back....we're not taking the wall again" Pixel told them, as her remaining troop's nodded. All of them went back with Pixel, passing through the first, and second lines of defense that had been broken through, and filled with the bodies of the deceased ponies, and dead Nightmare Demon's with blood staining the battlefield.

Pixel got back to their current outpost, as Twilight Sparkle was collabing with Pinkamena, and Rainbow Dash, the only one of her friend's left. She watched, as an angry Pixel came in, and flipped over a table, before shoving a knife directly into the map that Twilight was using to corral her forces. "2 FEET.....I WAS 2 FEET FROM THAT DAMM WALL!!!!!!!" Pixel shouted, as Rainbow Dash groaned.

"You didn't break through?" Twilight Sparkle asked with suprise, as Pixel shook her head.

"I could only get a bullet into the wall, but no....my team was flocked, and torn apart by the enemies defenses, and I was forced to retreat.....the wall is still holding, and so is Nightmare Moon's final defense" Pixel reported.

"AAAAWWWW COOOMMMEEE OOOOONNNN WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO KILL THIS BITCH!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" Rainbow Dash shouted, punching the wall. Twilight Sparkle, put her hand over her face, as she let out a drained sigh, before speaking.

"Rainbow, Pinkie, Mistress.....gather every single pony we have left with whatever artillery, and armor we can muster, we're going for one last full scale assault" Twilight Sparkle ordered, as Rainbow Dash, and Pinkamena all looked at her with concern.

"B-But Twilight....we really aren't going to have much forces left, we can do a lot of damage, but how exactly will that help us tear down that wall?" Pinkamena asked.

"Because we're joining the fight with the Mistress....one way, or another this war end's today" Twilight Sparkle told her, as she pulled out a royal spear weapon that was filled with her very own weaponized magic.

"What if all of us don't make it?" Rainbow Dash asked, as Twilight Sparkle walked forward, hugging Pinkamena, and Rainbow Dash.

"Then we'll all join Fluttershy, AJ, Spike, and Rarity in the afterlife....and we'll all be together...forvever" Twilight Sparkle smiled, as the last of the three friend's hugged for one last time. Pixel nodded, as she stuffed, as much ammo into her pistol's as possible to take on her enemies.

The entire army of Equestria.....mare's, and stallion's charged through with everything they had. Twilight Sparkle used massive discharging magic from her spear, to tear through the massive swarm of Nightmare Demon's. The defenses rank's were slowly being broken, as their sheer last assault was driving through the enemies. Rainbow Dash had her own weapon's, as she used her own pistol's through the rank's. Pinkamena used her knife, and was easily ripping through every demon, spilling their blood, and gut's all over the place with her laughing the whole way.

They eventually got to the wall itself, as Twilight Sparkle channeled, as much magic as she could to breach the entire wall, her army closing in. The rest of the troop's engaged the army from the inside, as she, Pixel, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkamena all pursued to where Nightmare Moon herself was. The girl's immedietly came to a halt, as they each saw what was going on. Nightmare Moon herself had a portal open to the Nightmare Realm, causing constant demon's to flood out.

"So....all of you are finally here....good, BECAUSE THIS PLACE WILL BE YOUR GRAVE!!!!!!!!" Nightmare Moon shouted, as she opened the door's more, making the place flood with demon's. All of the girl's fought with everything they had. Rainbow Dash, and Pixel's gun's burned with every bullet fired. Twilight fired, and channeled every inch of her magic to destroy each demon around her. Pinkamena's knife continued to tear through her enemies, as she fought with every bit of aggression, and insanity she could.

However, it wasn't lasting. There were still way too many demon's that flooded the entire front castle, and the battle itself was coming to a close. Nightmare Moon cackled, seeing that she was going to win the war, even though her sister was defeated, her enemies were finally going to fall. Rainbow Dash growled, as she decided to put up one last fight. She pushed a demon against the wall, and smashed the end of her pistol into it, squeezing the trigger. Blood sprayed the wall, as the demon slumped to the ground with it's face in a mushy mess. Rainbow Dash immedietly cartwheeled in the air, and gunned more demon's down with ease.

The Demon's continued to flock her, but Rainbow pulled out a grenade, pulled it's pin, and shoved it into one of the Demon's. Rainbow used her wing's to fly back, as she shot the grenade with a pistol, blowing up a bunch of demon's with blood raining all over the place. Another charged from the right, only for her to kick it hard into the face, pin it to the ground, and riddling it with bullet's, Rainbow Dash quickly used her speed to spin in fast circles, firing her pistol's rapidly, spewing bullet's everywhere. Many demon's were torn apart, as she fought....shouting the whole way. Rainbow quick shot another on the right, and then another on the left....until she felt it.

A loud slicing sound was heard, as one of the demon's claw's impaled her through the back. Rainbow Dash gasped, as blood dripped from her mouth, as another demon claw, impaled her through the heart, as Rainbow Dash dropped to her knees. One final claw went through her eye, as her mouth opened in a silent scream. Rainbow Dash fell to the ground, darkness taking her vision, and her pistol's dropping to the ground, signaling her demise. "RAIIINBOOWWW!!!!!!!" Pinkamena screamed, as she gave it her all.

She charged toward a demon, and stabbed it with her knife, before slashing so fast, turning the demon into a gory mess. Blood was heavily stained on Pinkamena, but she didn't care. Pinkamena grabbed another demon, and with all her strength, she ripped the demon in half with her bare hand's. She immedietly re-adjusted the knife in her hand, and instantly sliced another demon's head off, as it collapsed to the ground dead. She stabbed another approaching her from behind, as she gutted the demon, letting blood spill out of it like a flowing river.

She shoved her knife in another demon's eye, as she ripped the eyeball out of it's socket. She used the rest of her knife to quickly shred the demon with ease. Pinkamena used her blade to cut another demon into three pieces, as it squealed, by her wrath. Pinkamena attacked, and killed as many as she could with her knife, pinning her enemies to the wall, and gutting them like cupcakes. Pinkamena was soon surrounded, as a bunch of demon's managed to pin her down, and hold her into place, as multiple blades cut through her, as she screamed. When the demon's were done, blood leaked from multiple wound's in her back, as Pinkamena had instantly bled to death.

"TWILIGHT.....WE'RE NOT GOING TO WIN THIS.....THIS IS THE END!!!!!!!" Pixel shouted, as Twilight saw her two best friend's deceased, leaving her alone. Pixel was correct, Nightmare Moon had the demon's still coming, and they weren't going ot survive this. Twilight couldn't accept defeat, all of her friend's death's would be for nothing, she had to end the war here....and then it came to her. Twilight used her magic to create what would later be the tainted chalice of the Nightmare Realm. Currently, it was something else. She used the chalice to fill it with her own magic, and then drank it instantly. It gave her the magic she needed, as Twilight turned to Nightmare Moon.

"I.....wish to surrender Nightmare Moon" Twilight told her, as Nightmare Moon smiled.

"Good, but I'd rather have killed you anyway, but I do want you to watch, as I kill your friend.....do come closer" Nightmare Moon smiled. Twilight got as close, as she needed to be....and then sprung her final plan. With all her might...Twilight Sparkle charged at Nightmare Moon, and impaled her through the stomach, knocking her, and Nightmare Moon into the dark depth's of the Nightmare Realm.

"TWILIGHT....WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!?!!?!?!?!?" Pixel shouted, seeing Twilight in the realm itself. Twilight Sparkle growled, as she channeled all her magic into the realm itself, creating a very powerful seal to keep the Nightmare being's, and Nightmare Moon from roaming the mortal world forever.

"HELP ME SEAL THE DOOR BEHIND ME....IT IS THE ONLY WAY!!!!!!!" Twilight Sparkle shouted.

"NOOOOOOO!!!!!!" Pixel shouted, trying to claw through the demon's that continued to keep her at bay.

"Pixel......" Twilight told her, as Pixel stopped in her track's, hearing her name. The demon's stopped attacking her, feeling the spell take it's toll on them. Pixel walked through the demon horde, as she took off the mask she wore, that hid her identity for so long. She put her hand on the portal which now acted, as a mirror, meaning the portal was going to close soon.

"How did you know?" Pixel asked, as Twilight let out a small laugh.

"I got the chance to observe you when you had your day's off....you wanted to be your own mare, but you also wanted to be the equal of the stallion you love" Twilight told her, as Pixel blushed a little, thinking about Stryker.

"If you knew....why didn't you tell anybody?" Pixel asked.

"Becasue my friend's, and I trusted you....you have a very good heart Pixel, one as gold as Fluttershy, and Rarity's when they were still around.....I know that maybe one day, you will be a good leader, or a mare with a good heart. I hope one day, you, and Stryker will be together" Twilight told her, as Pixel blinked.

"How did you know his name?" Pixel asked, as Twilight blushed, despite the spell she was casting.

"I did have a bit of a crush on Stryker, but he seem's to have only eyes for you" Twilight told her, as Pixel chuckled.

"He is quite cute isn't he...not to mention his scarlet colored skin" Pixel cooed, as both mare's giggled, but it was short lived.

"Please Twilight....don't do this" Pixel told her, tear's starting to roll down her face.

"Take care of what's left for me" Twilight Sparkle shouted, as she channeled all of her magic into the seal, a loud boom was heard, as all of the war weapon's, tanks....and many other vehicles, along with the other's were thrown near the edge of the Everfree, as the entire world of Equestria was swallowed into the ground. Twilight Sparkle's spell ended, and she was gone.

"After that we cut down the rest of the Everfree forest, and as the year's went buy....it became The Grid, our safe haven, and I never saw her again." Pixel told Vampra who had listened to the entire story.

"That explain's a lot, I'm guesssing after she had sealed herself, the spell must of cursed her...." Vampra realized.

"And if she's still alive, Nightmare Moon has used this curse to her advantage, controlling her for own benefit's" Pixel finished, as Vampra realized something.

"Of course, that's why Scarlett has been able to go from the real world, and back....she's trying to break the seal again, and with Stryker I'm guessing when she get's you, she'll have everything" Vampra realized.

"I have to try, and free her from her curse" Pixel told her, as she began to obsevre the fake grave. Vampra looked around, and noticed that the place itself seemed eerie, and too quite.

"Proceed with caution Pixel" Vampra told her, as Pixel let out a sigh, as she turned to her with a bit more trust in Vampra, as she replied.

"You don't have to tell me" Pixel replied, as she was about to put the cup on the grave when she stumbled, as a bunch of maggot's ran past her. The chalice rolled, until it came to a stop in front of giant skull armored hellknight's. The being's were activated, as two of them stood up. "What the....." Pixel realized, as Vampra spoke.

"Sentinel's....her loyal guardian's that were sworn to protect her....in both life, and in death....at least that's what they're suppose to be, until you told me that story" Vampra grumbled, as Pixel unsheathed her sword, and spoke.

"These used to be two of her royal guard's back in the day....now, they are corrupted, like her" Pixel snarled, as she looked at the Sentinel. "YOUR IN MY WAY!!!!!" She growled, fed up with everything, as Vampra sighed.

"Ugh....here we go" Vampra groaned. The Sentinel attacked, as Pixel blocked the mighty being with her sword, before forcing his blade into a pillar, and quickly sliced it's hand off that held the sword. The Sentinel looked at it's chopped off hand then gave Pixel a powerful punch, knocking her back. Pixel leaped high, and sliced off the Sentinel's head. It's energy transfered into another Sentinel statue nearby, as it activated....turning to Pixel. The second Sentinel pulled out two sword's, as it attacked Pixel who blocked each attack from both blades.

Pixel quickly used her skill's to disarm it, and then sliced it's head off. The energy of the second Sentinel jumped to a third that had a big axe, as it came to life, looked at Pixel, and then stood up at it's towering height. Vampra noticed a huge piece of a gun turret laying on the ground. The Sentinel raised it's axe, while Pixel raised her sword keeping the blade close to her. A loud gunshot rang, and the Sentinel fell down, torn from the huge bullet that was fired. Pixel turned to Vampra, as she lowered the turret, and looked at her light heartedly, but a bit annoyed. "Your welcome" She groaned.

Pixel walked back to the grave with Twilight's name on it. "Place the cup on her grave" Vampra ordered, as Pixel placed the cup on the grave.

"Nothing's happening.....why is nothing happening?" Pixel asked. Vampra only remianed silent, as she growled knocking the cup aside. "UUUUGGGHHHH ....LET MY FRIEND'S, MY LOVER.....AND TWILIGHT OUUUUTTT, LET THEM OUT, LET THEM OUT, LET THEM OUT, LEEETTT THEEEMMM OOOOUUUTTTT!!!!!!" She cried, as she destroyed the grave, and the entire place collapsed beneath them, as Vampra, and Pixel crossed into the dark hell of the Nightmare Realm. Pixel let out a groan, as she woke up in darkness, near rubble.

She stood up, and saw the bodies of deceased ponies with their blood all over the place frightnening her. "GAAAHH....WHAT IS THIS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" Pixel shouted.

"Ah...so you've finally come to, thank's to your tantrum, we have entered the realm itself" Vampra told her, as Pixel looked at the gorely shredded bodies of her kind.

"T-This....this is awful, how could I have let this happen to her....to them" Pixel gasped, as Vampra scoffed.

"Oh come now Pixel, it's nothing you haven't seen before, remember all the good times we....." Vampra began, before Pixel interrupted her.

"Shut up.....SHUT UP.....YOUR HORRIBLE, AND SO IS NIGHTMARE MOON!!!!!!!" Pixel shouted.

"What do you expect from a cursed friend who is forced to feed on the soul's of the innocent, the pure of heart?" Vampra asked, as Pixel let out a deep sigh.

"It's just.....not like this" Pixel whimpered, doing her best not to cry, as Vampra spoke.

"The only way to make sure their death's weren't in vein is to destroy her, or free her" Vampra told her.

In the Nightmare Realm...Shift, and Stryker felt the rumble of the place, as Vampra, and Pixel were now crossing over into the realm. "What the fuck is going on, did you hear that....what is that?" Shift asked, as Stryker noticed, his corruption was now less than what it was earlier.

"I don't know...but it just might be our ticket out of here" Stryker smiled, ready to leave this hellhole.....after all this time.
