Princess Luna was banished to the moon for a thousand years, long ago. After returning Twilight Sparkle and her friends helped her to understand the magic of friendship and make new friends in a world so different from the one she left behind. That was more than 600 years ago. During the fall of Equestria after Twilights rein, Mistrust, anger, and fear once again separated the three pony races. Luna, caught in the middle of it, knew she wouldn't be able to protect herself from the entity that made her Nightmare Moon, as darkness was spreading across the land. So using the elements, she banished herself to the moon for another 561 years. Upon her return however, she found she could not return to her original form. Battling the demons inside her, she embarks on a quest by herself to find the one pony who she know could help her.
