Flurry Heart's supernova magic outburst decimated half of Equus, leaving the survivors in utter chaos.

In the aftermath, fear ruled Equestria. The different pony races, once harmonious, decided to live apart, terrified that another Alicorn born from a mixed union could annihilate the whole world. To ensure safety, all magic was sealed within three crystals. With these two safeguards in place, the world was seemingly secure.

For centuries, what remained of Equus endured. Yet, an ominous prophecy spoke of Sunny, The Destroyer of Worlds. Ponies clung to that last lingering shred of hope that nopony would ever be dumb enough to break the two seals by uniting the three crystals and putting an end to racism.
