In an alternate timeline of Earth, the Mongolian Empire rises to new heights, thanks to some magical ponies assisting them in their conquest. Chinggis Khan, the first unified Mongol leader, got a head start thanks to Nightmare Moon freeing him from a cangue (torture device used at the time). With her knowledge of magic, and his knowledge of battle and skill on horseback, the two become the heads of a massive empire humanity had never before seen!

As their journey progresses, Nightmare Moon bridges a portal between her world, "Equestria", and Earth to provide more ponies as steeds for Chinggis Khan's army, including batponies, pegasi, unicorns, and eath ponies alike. All was going to plan until Princess Celestia ultimately discovers her sister aiding the Mongol warlord, and summons Twilight Sparkle and her friends to aid in fighting the Mongolian Empire.

NOTE: There are ponies in this fic, and other than that, the use of magic, etc, this fic will closely follow actual historical events that took place during the Mongolian Empire's history. I hope you like it!
