On The Fly

You always have a good time at one of Tide's family dinners since you always got along pretty well with them, even her siblings. Though it wasn't Crecenda's turn to cook the main dish everything was still very delicious making you ask to take some home. Once they agreed but only if you stayed for the game party after the meal.

"Sure, but we really won't be able to stay that long cause we do have to get up pretty early tomorrow," Tide said as she sat on the couch patting her stomach with a satisfied look.

"So, are you two planning to spend some alone time together?" Altone, Tides older sister by a month asked with a teasing tone making you and Tide blush a bit.

"Well, we are planning on hanging out..." Tide answered making Altone give you both a little smirk.

"Altone, quit teasing!" Seren, Altone's and Tide's oldest sister said coming out of the kitchen.

"What, I'm not implying a thing..." Altone said with a teasing smile.

"Seriously, will you give it a rest sweetie? Or would you like us to bring up Scold?" Seren asked making Altone instantly deflate.

"So, um, what game we starting with?" You ask trying to change the subject and breaking the little tension that seemed to have built up.

"How about some Super Smash Sis's?" Tide suggested which everyone instantly jumped on.

You all played a few rounds before you and Tide decided it was about time to go since it was starting to get late. Tide went around saying bye to her family in which you also said bye to some of them. The two of you stood outside for a moment to make sure Tide had everything she needed.

"Looks like everything!" Tide said making you nod as you picked up one of her bags.

"Well that's good, you two have fun on this vacation!" You both jumped as Cliff said as he walked up.

"Dad, I wasn't expecting to see ya!" Tide said as she instantly wrapped her dad in a hug.

"Yeah, I convinced them to let me take an early night. That and I've already managed to figure out most of the problem at work so I'll be able to come home at more regular hours for now! But seriously, you two should get going before it gets late and I hope you all have a good time," Cliff said as he gave you a hard look for a moment though you didn't back down from the stare.

"Alright Dad, love you!" Tide said as she wrapped him in a hug.

"Try not to worry she's in good hands!" You say as the two of you start to lift off.

"Oh, I have no worry about that..." You could feel his stare even as you were out of sight.

"Gee, they were really on our case this time!" Tide said giving you a little smile.

"Eh, not a surprise 'cause that's just how they are. But not to mention, we are two teens going on a two-week vacation without any parents..." You said making her give a little giggle.

"I get that! But they could have toned it down a little you know? I tell ya, siblings especially are annoying," Tide said rolling her eyes.

"Don't get me wrong but I do like your siblings for the most part..." You said as you looked over you were glad you weren't behind her while she was flying in her dress.

"You're talking about Whirl?" Tide asked making you nod.

Whirl is the oldest brother of all their siblings and while for the most part, he was a cool guy there were instances where he was a complete asshole. Like for instance he made fun of you constantly, even in recent years for wanting to become a masseuse. While you could have put up with that much he made it so worse when he found out you were adopted, which is why you always liked Tide's family in general since they took your side on the matter.

"You know he hasn't even sent a letter to his mom or dad since he was kicked out?" Tide asked making you sigh a bit.

"Doesn't surprise me, he'll always try to blame them for standing up for me, and as long as I'm still around I don't think there's a chance he'll reach out ever," You reply making Tide fly closer to you.

"You know my family would always have your back against that kind of bullying. No matter what he did to you he only has himself to blame," Tide said trying to reassure you you gave her a little smile, though some part of you still felt guilty about coming in between family.

"It still bothers me, I mean he only really started acting like that after he met you know who..." You say making her nod.

"Yeah, but again it was all his choice by that point including going to live in their community. But enough of that we're going on vacation tomorrow!" Tide said with a little bit of forced cheeriness.

"Good point," You gave her a tight smile in return.

There were a few moments of flying in silence before you started up a little small talk and eventually the awkwardness eased. Soon Gilda's house was in sight, and as the two of you hovered above you descended first without much thought. Looking up you could see Tide doing her best to hold her dress down but being almost directly under her despite how dark it was getting you could somewhat see up her dress.

"You, um, didn't look up my dress did you?" Tide asked as she landed where you could see a dark blush form.

"Nah, I was focused on landing," You replied making her give you a slightly relieved sigh. As the two of you enter she gives you a light punch as Gilda comes out of the kitchen with a bowl of ramen.

"Well, don't you two look ready? Would offer ya some ramen but I know you two had good food anyway..." Gilda looks at you making you avert your gaze since you didn't bring her a plate.

"Sooo, what time are we planning on leaving tomorrow?" Tide asked making Gilda roll her eyes.

"The plan is to have everything at least loaded by two, and hopefully be out by at least two thirty," Gilda replied as she slurped her ramen. "Should take about two hours to get there if things go good."

As they talked Gabby came out and suggested they watch a classic horror movie, which they did after making some popcorn. Once done they decided to go ahead and turn in, this time Tide agreeing to sleep on a cot. Though you couldn't really go to sleep.

"You awake?" You hear Tide ask making you chuckle. "I really am excited about going on this trip!"

"I can tell, what are you looking forward to?" You ask making her chuckle this time.

"Well, the fireworks to be honest!" Tide replies. She then waits to see what your answer is which took you a few seconds to realize why she went silent.

"Yeah, me too..." You say as you start to drift off to sleep.

The next morning Gilda walks into the kitchen wearing a loose-fitting shirt that came down to her mid-thigh. Her stomach growls as the smell of breakfast cooking fills the air. As she looked Tide was rinsing off some dishes she used to prepare breakfast as the oven timer was going down.

"She's making her breakfast lasagna," You say as you enter after going to the bathroom. "She was very excited for today so she woke up early and decided to make it as her thanks for letting her come."

"I hope you guys don't mind me...." Before Tide could finish speaking Gilda spoke up.

"It's fine, especially since it smells fantastic! Is it your mom's recipe?" Gilda asked as Gabby walked in, wearing sweatpants and a sports bra since she had gone out jogging.

"You really like taking it easy when you have time off," Gabby says with a chuckle as Gilda gives her a playful punch to the arm.

"Yeah, yeah..." Gilda replies before Tide speaks up.

"Uh, to answer your question Gilda, this is actually my own recipe," Tide says as she puts the dishes she just washed in the drying wrack.

"Not surprised though, you probably inherited a lot from your mom. Shoot, maybe eventually we can even get you to make one of your mom's pies..." Gilda says as she wipes away drool from the corner of her mouth.

"Actually, I was hoping you guys could try out my own pie recipe eventually!" Tide replies with a bright smile.

"Hmm, I wouldn't mind that..." You say as your stomach rumbles making Tide's smile grow brighter.

"Oh, um, I-I gotta check on the lasagna!" Tide says as she goes over to the oven.

Once it was done we ate our fill, afterwards, Gilda got ready and brought down her bags before going for a jog. Gabby went to take a shower as me and Tide cleaned up the rest of the dishes. Soon, Gabby comes down with her bags and not long after that Gilda walks in and soon they start loading up the wagon.

"Well, looks like we'll be getting there a bit sooner than we thought!" Gabby says as you all start taking to the air with you pulling the wagon. After an hour of flying Gilda switched with you, and about an hour after that the lake comes into view and Gabby eventually leads you all to the cabin you'll be staying at.

"They didn't have a four bedroom available, so two of us will have to share a room," Gilda explains as she sets the wagon in the little wagon spot next to the cabin.

"That'll be me and you!" Gabby exclaimed as she grabbed onto Gilda's arm. "Which of course means we'll be taking the big room, you two can decide which rooms you want!"

"Well, let's take a look then!" Tide says as we look, eventually, we agree on which room we want.

Once they unloaded the wagon they relaxed for a bit before heading to the nearby town to look around. Tide and you went into a store that sells clothes, which Gilda and Gabby soon followed. You went to look around while the girls went to try on some of the clothes.

"Hmm, this looks good..." You say as you pull out a t-shirt.

After you all bought everything you wanted they stopped by a restaurant to get something to eat. Though you were curious about what clothes they got since they wanted to keep it secret. But you let it go deciding it was a girl's thing and soon you all were stuffing your faces.

"Ugh, that was pretty good!" You say as you sit back in your seat.

"Yeah, it was. Gotta give that waiter a good a good tip..." Gilda says as she burps.

"So, what's the plan for the rest of the day?" Tide asks as she returns from the bathroom.

"Well, I think some relaxing will do. Let's stop by the movie rental place!" Gabby suggests making you feel nostalgic since most rental places were shut down since streaming had become popular.

"Sounds good to me," You say and soon you four went to the rental place after paying and giving the waiter a good tip.

As the group enters the movie rental place the four move around looking at the selection between older and newer movies. Each of you picks a movie, Gilda picks a classic action movie, Gabby picks a comedy that was more recently released, Tide picks a romance comedy, and you pick a horror. Once you all pay the rental fee the four of you start your way back to the cabin doing some more window shopping along the way.

"Man, what a tiring day, can't wait to watch some movies!" You say as you enter the cabin where all of you sit on the couch.

"Which one should we watch tonight?" Gilda asked looking between all four movies.

Once it was decided Gilda sits next to your left with Tide on your left and Gabby on the recliner nearby. The movie that was decided on was the romance comedy which was pretty good. Soon you felt Tide leaning against you as she had fallen asleep having not gotten a lot of sleep from the night before.

"Aww, ain't that cute. Need help taking her to her room?" Gilda asks making you nod with a grateful smile as the two of you manage to carefully get Tide to her room on her bed.

"I figured she would be out, while she is used to a hectic schedule she still passes out once she starts to really relax," You mutter which Gilda nods.

"I know how that feels, so we gonna finish the movie or wait until tomorrow?" Gilda asked as we step outside the room.

"We obviously wait until tomorrow to finish it cause she is the one who picked it!" Gabby says making them agree.

"Well, anyways it's still a bit too early for me to go to sleep. I'm gonna go for a jog, you want to join Gabby?" Gilda asked as she started to stretch.

"Nah, I think I'm going to take a shower," Gabby replied as she got some night clothes going to the bathroom.

"What about you?" Gilda asks making you think for a second.

"Sure, could go for a jog," You answer and soon you and Gilda were jogging side by side.

As you two jogged your eyes wander onto her jiggling breasts beneath her shirt and as she starts pulling forward your eyes went to her butt. Shaking your head you caught back up to her and as you looked you thought she had a slight smirk on her face with a slight blush but you figured it was just from the jogging. Once the two of you returned to the cabin Gabby already finished with her shower, Gilda took her shower next.

Once you take your shower and start drying off when suddenly Gilda walks in not paying attention and making you realize that you hadn't locked the door. Gilda turns bright red as she sees you barely covered by your towel before she rushes out. You stood there for a moment processing everything before you finished drying off and dressing.

"I have never seen Gilda so red before," Gabby says as soon as you walk out of the bathroom.

"Yeah well, she definitely needs to knock next time," You reply as you are turning a bit red yourself.

"Will you two stop teasing me, I'm sorry for not knocking first!" Gilda says as she suddenly pops out of nowhere still very red.

"So, did you like what you saw?" Gabby teased as Gilda punched her shoulder.

"It's fine, let's uh, just go get some sleep?" You say making Gilda give you an appreciative smile.

Once you got to your room you collapsed onto the bed still seeing Gildas surprised look as she saw quite a bit. You knew your dreams were going to be fueled by that tonight. As your eyes drifted shut you did have to wonder what this trip will bring.
