One faithful night, Celestia brings her young student, Twilight Sparkle, to the castle so she can watch her raise the moon. Twilight is a pretty intelligent student, and is quick to notice that the night is starless and has been that way for years. The filly knows that stars exist. So she asks her mentor why there aren't any stars. Celestia finds it difficult to come up with an answer.
