The next morning Twilight was pulled out of bed by Pinkie Pie. Said pink pony was visibly trying to keep still as she spoke. "FrostBite! Fluttershy! Brother! Rainbow! Hurry!" Was all the alicorn was able to make out as she tiredly followed her friend to wherever they needed to go.

"What's going on?" Spike asked, seeing the two pass the kitchen.

"I'm going with Pinkie to Fluttershy's. Can you check on FrostBite for me?" Twilight asked as they made their way to the front door.

Spike grabbed the sandwich he made for Twilight and ran up next to her. She took it and thanked him before they parted ways.

On their way to Fluttershy's cottage the two were joined by Applejack and Rarity. The four mares didn't know what was going on. But knew that when their pink friend had a twitch, they listened. And this was promising to be a BIG shock from who frantic Pinkie was acting.

Spike sighed as he arrived at the stone home of FrostBite and Smolder. The young dragon smiled as Smolder opened the door. "Hay Smolder. Is FrostBite home?"

The dragoness smiled and welcomed him in. "He's in the living room. Come on in." She said, stepping to the side letting the dragon in.

Sure enough, as Spike walked in he saw FrostBite laying back on the couch with a jem hanging out of his mouth. Blinking Spike walked over. "Hay FrostBite… Twilight asked me to come over and check on how things are." He said watching Smolder sit next to him.

After a moment the scent of cooking food caught his attention. However, before he was able to bring it up to them FrostBite spoke. "All things considered? We're fine. Why was Twilight worried?"

"Pinkie sense." Spike explained looking towards the kitchen. "Who's…?" As if to answer his question a familiar pegasus trotted out with a tray on her back. While it was a shock, the thing that surprised him more was the collar that was around Rainbow's neck. "WHAT?!?"

At Fluttershy's cottage the girls stood frozen in the doorway at the sight of Zeffer sitting on his sister's couch looking like he was in a fight. It wasn't that he was there that was so shocking, instead what shocked them was the glare the normally timid pegasus was glaring at him.

"Is there something wrong surgercue?" Applejack asked hesitantly.

After a moment of silence Fluttershy replied. "Ask him." She hissed, causing the girls to gulp and turn to the stallion.

"What's going on?" Rarity asked.

Seeing the attention he was getting the stallion let out a whimper before replying. "I was attacked by a stallion with slitted wings." He cried. "The last thing I saw was him drugging Rainbows and flying off with her."

At his words Applejack's eyes narrowed. She might not have known Zeffer as well as Dash or Fluttershy, but she knew a lie when she saw one. Instead of simply calling him out on it she had a better idea. Trotting over Applejack looked him over before turning to Twilight. "Say Twi. Ya lived with a dragon. Why don't ya see who bad he is?"

Twilight nodded and trotted over. Looking Zeffer over, Twilight saw clear signs of him being burned. However, she noticed they didn't match up with marks made by dragon fire.

Twilight turned to face Zeffer. "How exactly did he burn you?"

"He beat me up and tossed me into a pile of trash and lit it on fire." Zeffer whimpered.

The girls doubted his claim. Twilight and Applejack however weren't done drilling him. "And why didn't ya let anypony know sooner?" Applejack challenged.

Zeffer froze for a moment as he thought. Rubbing a hoof against his head he moaned. "I'm sorry. I blacked out soon after I saw him fly off with Rainbow. I swear I tried to get help. But the pain was too much."

Turning to her friends Twilight nodded. "I think I heard enough." She trotted to the door. "Applejack? Would you mind waiting here with Fluttershy, and make sure he doesn't try running?" She looked over, receiving a nod. "The rest of us will go look for Rainbow. And see if FrostBite and Smolder know anything."

"Please save Rainbows before it's too late." Zeffer whimpered.

Back at FrostBite's home, Spike was staring at Rainbow in disbelief as she set a third tray on the table before sitting next to FrostBite and giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Ok… can someone explain what I'm seeing?" He asked as FrostBite grabbed a plate of pancakes.

"What's wrong? Didn't expect me to find a coltfriend?" Rainbow teased.

"No… it's just…" Spike paused, looking at the trays then the collar. "What happened?"

"She's bonded to FrostBite." Smolder explained. "The collar was her idea."

Spike blinked. He recalled a letter from Ember about when dragons bond to each other. And as the realization dawned on him his eyes widened. "Are you nuts?" He asked, turning his attention to Rainbow. "You know what this means right?"

"Of course I do." She replied. "Smolder explained it to me." She sighed, knowing what he was going to say. "But it's fine. I can still be a Wonderbolt. I just have to come back each night." She smirked. "But I doubt he's really going to complain if I get a workout."

FrostBite blushed as Spike rubbed the back of his neck. "Well… there's that… but what about… you know. That other thing?"

Rainbow thought for a moment as FrostBite answered. "We'll wait till the…"

"Kids might be nice."

"But… your dream?" Spike protested.

Rainbow shrugged it off. "Shouldn't be a problem as long as…"

Suddenly the door swung open as two pegasi flew in, snatching Rainbow away from FrostBite and pulling her to the corner of the room as several members of the Wonderbolts came in dressed in full uniform glaring at FrostBite.

"You're under arrest." The leader snapped at FrostBite.

"What charges?" Spike demanded as he and Smolder stepped between them.

"First degree assault, kidnapping and using illegal drugs and or magic compromising the mental well-being of an equestrian citizen." The leader hissed.

"Are you fucking kidding me!?!" Rainbow spat, shocking everypony in the room. As the two pegasi let go in shock she flew over staring the shocked Wonderbolt in the eyes. "Where's your proof?" She demanded. "Screw that. Who the hell is making these claims against my mate?"

At that the ponies' shock grew. "Your mate!" The two pegasi called in unison.

"Ya." Rainbow replied as she continued glaring at the mare in front of her. "So Spitfire. Are you going to take my stallion? Or are you going to be the smart captain I look up to and STAND DOWN?"

Spitfire looked from Rainbow to FrostBite then back to her. "Soarin saw the newspaper article." She sighed. "My guess is your parents saw the same." Looking over her shoulder she motioned for the others to wait outside before turning back to the others. "Mind telling your side of the story so we can arrest the right pony?"

Twilight and her friends soon arrived at FrostBite's home where they were stopped by the Wonderbolts getting their side of the story.

After both groups got told what happened, Spitfire excused herself, promising to return to talk about Rainbow's future and flew off to not only chew out the pony that had spread the gossip, but to also arrest the correct pony.

Twilight and her friends decided to wait till Applejack and Fluttershy arrived to talk about what they had walked into as Rainbow's parents were visibly struggling to not smother the two with questions and or threats in FrostBite's cases.

Things are heating up and the drama has just begun. As the girls figure out what's going on and what their friend's future holds. The question now is "what fate awaits Zeffer?" More importantly, how much did the reporter hear? Will the princesses punish Zeffer? Or will the court decide to go with one of FrostBite's ideas?
