Previously on Sun Mage

Cadence was the one who stepped up with a worried look. "The kingdom is under keen surveillance."

Connor grow more worried "What for?"

"Changelings, that's why I assigned more guards to keep an eye out."

"Was it just me or was Cadence acting a little unusual to you?"

Artemis gave a quizzical look to Connor "What do you mean?"

"She didn't have that usual spark, and the aura around her seemed a little sinister. And her eyes held a small hint of green in them."

"She's angry because she just now found out that her brother was getting married, let alone dating somepony at all."

Connor gave an outraged look "I know I shouldn't be badmouthing Twilight's brother but. What the hell?! That's just ridiculous! If my brother was dating someone and didn't tell me, I would livid. Can't blame her though."

"Listen, Candy, I know not the best with these things and I don't have any powers like my brother, but I'm trying to lighten things up right now. It's the most I can do."

"Then maybe you should try harder? Hm?" She responded in passive aggressive tone.

Okay this person isn't even trying anymore. "Alright, who are you!?"

Green waves surrounded Cadence. A women with green eyes and irises like a cat. Hair that was black and contained small holes, with dark tan skin. As well as a pair insect wings, stood in front of Connor. "Queen Chrysalis."

Cadence jumped in his arms as she was within reach. "Connor!"

The next thing she did caught him beyond surprise. She kissed him. The action made him freeze. She pulled away when she realized what she's just done. She had a mix of horror on her face at what she's just done, but she also held no regret.

"Would you really go through with this? Risk everything? For a pointless, powerless, irrelevant alien?"

"Yes, because I love him."

"Shining does what to you...?"

"So you're..."

"Being forced to marry Shining."

"Have you heard of any sign of him at all?" Celestia asked one of her guards, though they gave her a sad shake of the head. She requested that they continue to search for him. Celestia watched as the guards sped off. Celestia turned around and went to go find Ash, because after hearing the news, he ran off to somewhere she couldn't find him. And the thought of something happening to him was beginning to bring Celestia to tears.

The guards were looking for Connor, because he suddenly disappeared and no one knows where he is. And her niece's wedding will begin in only fifteen minutes.

As Celestia walked outside of the palace the sound of a small explosion got her attention. Hearing the noise so close the palace, she went into protective mode and flew to where the explosion came from. But as soon as she saw that familiar figure, she tackled the human in a crushing hug. "Amour!" Ash felt himself standing one second but was on the training turf the next. But at hearing her voice he visibly relaxed. "Ash where have you been, you disappeared and I had no clue of where you went."

"Sorry Sunshine, it's just..." Trailing off, he look towards the dirt below him. Celestia doesn't push him to go on.

Celestia placed two fingers on his chin to lift his face up to hers, and gave him a loving kiss to which he automatically melted into. Celestia broke away for one second to speak "Just please don't scare me like that ever again."

Ash gave a nod of his head and Celestia moved to where she was nuzzling his neck and inhaled his scent for more comfort that he was still there. The both of them stayed in that embrace for a few more moments before it was ruined by the sound of gagging. "Jeez, I think it'll be possible for me to get diabetes from your sweetness." Celestia turned around and gave Orion a harsh glare.

Ash gave a small gave of his head "The Shadow Demon has a small point. Can't continue this in the open. Besides, we have a wedding to get started."

"Mares and Gentlecolts, we are gathered here today to witness the union of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and Shining Armor." The Faint sound of raging footsteps could be faintly heard down the hall outside of the room where the wedding is being held. "Princess Cadence and Shining Armor, it is my great pleasure to pronounce you-"

Princess Celestia was then abruptly interrupted when the Wedding Hall doors were kicked open. "I object!!" Connor stood at the doorway with his hands on his hips with Twilight and the real Cadence standing by his sides.

Ash could only give out an exasperated sigh "Connor, I love that we found you, but the time you picked was terrible!"

Connor ignored and continued to speak "That isn't the real Princess Cadence! That's just Queen Mosquito!"

"Queen Mosquito?" Everyone else looked just as bewildered as Ash did. But that was until the Cadence next to Shining was surrounded by a green circle. Soon changing into the same exact figure Connor encountered before.

"It's Queen Chrysalis, you insolent wench!"

Ash discreetly moved closer to Celestia and took a defensive pose in front of her with electricity coming out of his hands. Celestia noticed and found the action sweet and cute. Shaking her head though, she brought her focus back to Chrysalis "I won't let you harm my little ponies."

Chrysalis gave a dark laugh "What pony said I was going to hurt them? I was simply going to drain them of all their love until they're powerless and with nothing left in them."

"Why?"

"Are you really that dull minded? My subjects need love to live, to survive. And once we take over Canterlot, we'll take all the love in Equestria!"

Connor shook his head and stepped forward. "That's not what I meant. I mean, why go through all this trouble? Why can't this be solved without someone in the process of almost being killed? I mean it seems like I'm innocent-"

Ash only cut him off to yell in the background "I've seen your search history Connor!"

Connor's face grew bright red but tried to get back to his point. "But, this could be settled like adults instead of ending in an apocalypse."

Chrysalis gave small scoff but Connor saw a hint of reasoning in her eyes. "And what would you suppose I do, when all of Equestria hate and leave my subjects unwelcome?"

"Celestia providing some sort of food supply for your subjects, she has a soft spot for alien creatures anyways."

Chrysalis gave a deadpan expression while the rest of the wedding hall gained looks of either disgust or outrage. Chrysalis began to think it over and brought her right hand out towards Celestia. "Well?"

Putting on a regal facade, Celestia walked towards Chrysalis and shook her hand, much to the changeling queen's utter surprise as to everyone else. "We will discuss this subject more at a later time, but you will be escorted to a spare room to where you will call off your army and will stay put until I have the time for you."

Chrysalis gave an annoyed grunt before being let out by nervous and apprehensive guards.

The wedding hall then sounded like that of a debate room.

"You're letting her go!?"

"Why should we give a food supply to her!?"

"You're letting her stay here!?"

Ash walked up to his brother and set a hand on his shoulder "Always a pacifist, but hey, they was a good thing you did. Seriously dumb, but good."

Connor gave a small to his brother but Ash could see death inside them "I'm still going to seriously hurt you for that comment, you know that right?"

Ash only chuckled "Yeah, I know."

When Chrysalis left the room, Shining Armor snapped out of his daze. When Cadence, Twilight and Connor turned their attention to him, all of them sported a frown.

Cadence and Connor may have avoided a civil war, but this was inevitable.

Cadence felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to Connor. "You have to tell her you're not happy and that you don't want to go through with the marriage." She looked towards her aunt, scared. "Don't worry, I'll be there, next to you."

Giving him an appreciated smile, they walked towards the Sun Princess. "Auntie." She turned at the sound of her name, gaze falling on her niece and Ash's brother. "I need to tell you something, it's about Shining Armor and I." She took a deep breath before telling her auntie the truth. "I don't want to marry Shining Armor, I never did."

Celestia looked to her in shock, "But I thought would be happy and that you loved him."

Cadence shook her head "It was just to make you happy." Cadence was then locked in a hug with Celesita, as well as Connor because he was in a really close proximity with them.

"Cadence, if you didn't love him you should have told this from the start. I shouldn't have to be the reason for a relationship you aren't comfortable in being in."

The two of them continued the hug and at this point Connor felt like he was being an intrusion.

Everyone was informed of the events of Cadence not wanting to be wed to Shining, to which Shining's parents were angry about but with a little consoling they respected the love princess's choice. And Celestia went up to talk with Chrysalis as promised and the both of them came to an agreeable compromise. Chrysalis was to stay in the castle until the new hive Celesita ordered to build was complete. And their source of food was going to be given to them in way where no violence or rape ensued. It took a while to get used to Chrysalis living in the palace with them, but managed when they got used to her snarky attitude.

Broken furniture was scattered all across the floor, making all the fawns around the room and near the area to cower. "So now they have the changelings on their side?! Out of all the rulers on God forbidden planet, Chrysalis is the one to become aliases with them?!" She continued to throw anything in her path to suffice her rage, but nothing was working.

"I will do whatever it takes to thrown down those useless princesses and obtain this world. If it's the last thing I do, those princesses and Sun Mage will either down to me or end up dead!"

Shorter chapter, I know. But I try to make the chapters long enough until it seems like that's where the chapter ends.
