The Equestria Show
Prologue
Load Full StoryYou think the stage is finished?
The mare onstage pranced around, checking every corner in case it needed improvement. The red curtains hung on the left and right side, open so the audience could see what was onstage. Right now, the room was empty except for the mare and the disembodied voice.
"I know so!" her smile was filled with pride.
...I think the east end needs a little less...sparkle, Crystie.
The mysterious mare groaned. "Don't call me that."
She raced to the end of the room, by the curtain. Her hoof reached out and wiped some of the glitter off, which she glanced at curiously.
Where'd the glitter come from anyway?
The mare shrugged. "I dunno..." she admitted, "Maybe 'Clumsy' over there spilled some glitter when walking onto the stage."
A young filly walked onto the stage from the east; She hopped playfully by 'Crystie'.
"What'd I do?" she asked innocently.
The mare rolled her eyes at the filly. She went on and dabbed the glitter-glue from her hoof to the other spots that were too drab.
The younger one smiled excitedly at the glitter. "Where'd ya get that sparkle, Cyrstie?"
"How many times do I have to say my name isn't Crystie!?"
Once, but we probably wouldn't listen to you until you said it about thirty...fourty times.
She ignored the voice.
"All done!" she stood up, examining her work: the glitter spread across the walls like a ribbon, though not attracting too much attention as it was just decoration.
"Wow, looks great!" complimented the filly, her hoofsteps making a soft pattering noise as she raced towards her friend's side.
The mare stood up, and made her way to the west curtain, where the 'studio' was, careful not to slip or mess up any wet paint spots. The filly came behind her, flying over the wet paint.
Ahem...is this mic working?
Nice work, Crystie!
Don't call me that...
