The relationship between Saddle Arabia and Equestria has never been stronger, as trade between the two kingdoms opens up and both countries flourish. In a few short years, merchants have appeared from both nations to exchange their wares and goods, and indulge in what each culture has to offer the other. Rumours have filtered back to Equestria of the oddities and quirks that can be found in the desert kingdom, and while many dismiss the ideas as ludicrous or offensive, there are those who are curious enough to go and see for themselves.

Spike the Dragon, Friendship Ambassador of Equestria, has been sent to mediate relations between Saddle Arabia and Yakyakistan. He's heard the stories of the place, particularly from his friend who was the first to establish trade with the country itself, but seeing the arid cities is something new and awe-inspiring for him. It's up to him to meet the challenges laid before him, and find a solution to the problem as is his duty. However, the immediate problem he's focused on resolving may not be the only issue he needs to address, and his companions may have heard more than they've let on as they journey with him to the heart of this strange and proud land...
