Catching Up With Lost Time (SFW Chapter)
Load Full StoryNext ChapterThe purple unicorn mare, Twilight Sparkle, was busy running around her cozy little library cleaning anything that she found in her way. Dust flying off shelves, windows wiped crystal clean, floors swept to perfection, and every little thing organized to the absolute inch of spacing. Her head racing with so many things to get done in so little time since she received a letter very late due to the ditzy mail mare. The panic-stricken state was caused by a message from her brother, Shining Armor, the newly promoted Sergeant of Celestia's military stating he was coming to visit her new place in Ponyville.
It had been months since they had last seen each other before Shining had gone to the military academy, and Twilight having raised her studies further as Celestia's private student. During that time she had been relocated out to Ponyville in her new tree-house library for her home, along with making some new friends in said town. Never had she before forgotten about someone so important due to her studies consuming time so quickly. Spike had been sent with her to the town, but this week he was back in Canterlot performing some tasks for the royal sisters and getting Luna re-acquainted with current laws and rulings.
Time was flying by quickly as the mare rushed around trying to finish up the last little things when a knock on her front door stopped her dead in her tracks. She looked around seeing that the place was clean, but still, she wanted to get more done beforehand so this had to be quick. Trotting over to the door she opened it with gusto, her eyes still stuck on the room behind her. "I'm sorry, the library is closed today. I'm not able to help you with any information you may need, please return tomorrow." She was in the middle of closing the door when it stopped halfway with great force.
"Is that so? I guess I'll have to try again in a few more months then. Just let Ms. Sparkle know her brother wanted to stop by and see her." Shining Armor held the door open with his hoof at the bottom with his face turned away with a mocking smile on it.
Twilight's face flushed red from blushing so hard at her mistake, yet also filled with so much excitement from her brother arriving early. "Shining," she shouted as she wrapped her hooves around his neck. "I'm so glad you made it. I'm sorry about that, I thought you were another one of the town's ponies coming for a book or information. Please come in B.B.B.F.F.." She opened the door wide as Shining's form slipped into the cozy interior of the tree. Closing the door behind him, she stuck a sign out on the front door and locked it behind them. "Go on take a seat, the cushion chairs are nice. I'll go get some tea."
Shining Armor eyed the interior of the place, with its high ceiling, and magical lights all about. The warm fireplace crackled away with the cold weather outside. The smell of freshly burning oak filled the air with a hint of vanilla touching the right relaxing mood. He strode around the area looking over the shelves and their cleanly fashion, no doubt up to his sister's full-on standards for maintaining books. His footing led him over to big poofy red chairs sitting near a small wooden table off to the side of the main bigger table with wooden stumps for seats. Hopping up onto the chair, he sunk in with the soft filling building a wall around his body. "Wow, Twily, I didn't think the princess would have set you up with such a place, and one that suits you perfectly," Shining said with an increased volume.
The clinking of dishes echoed from the kitchen as Twilight riled her energy into a focus. "I know, it's great. I do miss the castle and Canterlot sometimes, but it feels like a good start for my own." Her voice resounded out from the kitchen as she got closer to the doorway with a platter in tow. "I feel like I've lived here for most of my life now, but still it was a bit strange the first few weeks. Waking up to a new room and Spike sleeping by my side." She giggled as she approached the table and set the platter down with the pitcher of tea and cups.
Steam billowed out from the tip of the warming pitcher with the smell of lemon and honey, sugar sitting in a small bowl, with a pair of tiny spoons sitting next to the porcelain cups. Shining watched as his sister lifted the kettle with her magic and poured out the hot liquid into the cups in even portions. "So, you've been busy at least by what Princess Celestia has told me. Returning her sister is quite a feat in itself, but turning her from the mythic Nightmare Moon, now that is something else. I'm so proud of you Twily." He reached over and rubbed his hoof in Twilight's mane, giving the hairs a messy spread.
"Stop it, I just did what I thought was right and what I needed to do. I made some friends on the way and couldn't have done it without them either." She tried to pull away from his hoof with her own.
"Oh, now that is something I wasn't told. You making friends is certainly not you. Always stuck in your books instead of making friends was what you always did. Can you tell me a bit about them then?" Shining leaned forward, eager to hear Twilight's tale of her newfound friends.
Rolling her eyes she let out a sigh. "Fine, but it's a long story." She began her tale, with her brother sitting with excitement in his eyes. Soon enough, the time flew on by as she spoke, the hours passing as if they were minutes until the clock chimed five in the evening. She looked at the clock, her eyes wide with surprise at how fast the time had gone by. "Sweet Celestia, how did all the time just go."
Shining chuckled at the mare as he stood up to stretch his legs. "It seems that you were right, long story. So Twily, I've got a whole week free and was hoping we could spend some time together. Even if it is a few days, though I'll need to find a place to sleep."
Twilight jumped up from her seat, her heart racing as the excitement filled her. "It's not just a day! You can stay here with me. Spike's back in Canterlot for a bit, so the company would be nice, and we could..." her words trailed off as her face turned redder than a tomato as she tapped her hooves together.
The stallion gave a sly smile to the mare. "I know what you're thinking, but not tonight. I'm still a bit sore from all the training, and tired from the travel, but certainly, we can do things tomorrow. I've got some things in mind, and I'm sure there are some things on yours too." He stepped over to his sister's side, giving her a small hip check.
Nodding in response, Twilight looked up to her brother's face, the strong stallion's look still there just as she remembered, but with the right amount of softness to it too. "Alright, Spike sleeps in a small basket, but I've got a spare cot you can sleep in. If you don't mind helping me get it set up." Twilight took the lead, bringing her brother behind her, and wagging her tail side to side to show off her vulva and tail hole to the stallion as she lead the way.
Shining gave the rear of Twilight a preview as she lead him up the stairs to the upper portion of the library. Walking into a wide-open space of a room with more books and shelves, with a small wicker basket next to the big brown oak bed. His mind gaped in awe at the size of the room, and the spacious amounts of storage around, certainly it was a change of pace to the small cramped bunks of the academy. Following Twilight over to a closet, she tugged away at a metal frame with her magic before he assisted with his to get it unjammed from the small cupboard it was stashed in.
"Thanks, B.B.B.F.F., this is the cot. It's not the biggest, but it should make due for you." She gave a smile as she left Shining holding the frame by himself in his magical grip. She opened a closet a few doors down, pulled out a few blankets and a pillow from it, and hovered them over towards Shining. "Some bedding and a pillow as well. I know it's still early, but I'll keep the noise down if you want to sleep now."
"That sounds good Twily. I could do with an early bed with long sleep. First thing in the morning we'll get something to eat and maybe you can show me around the town too." He set the cot down and took hold of the bedding in his magic, placing it on the small bed. "What's with the B.B.B.F.F. though?"
Twilight's face lit up with a big grin of joy at the question. "Simple, it stands for Big Brother, Best Fuck Friend. I thought of it while I was still at the castle. I think it suits us well."
Rolling his eyes and shaking his head, Shining resisted the chance to laugh at the notion from his little sister. "Sounds like you've got other things on your mind more now than before. So keep those things to yourself, for now, I'm tired and need to get some sleep." He let out a yawn as he finished.
"Okay, but promise me that we'll do some fun stuff tomorrow and not just a tour. Please Shining." Twilight pleaded with her eyes, making a puppy dog look as she quivered her bottom lip.
"I promise Twilight. Now please can I get some sleep?" Shining climbed up onto his cot, slipping the blankets over his body.
Twilight nodded to the stallion. "Alright, I'm going back downstairs, I've got a book on the go that was interrupted by your letter. So I'll see you in the morning."
"Good night Twily." Shining yawned out as his eyelids slumped over his pupils, drifting him away to dreamland.
"Goodnight B.B.B.F.F., sleep well." Twilight flipped off the magical lights, leaving just the dusk sunlight to fill the room with its gentle glow.
