On the verge of retirement, Princesses Luna and Celestia pay a visit to their old teacher. They learn about the pony taught him the magic he wields, the magic of immortality, a monster made of desires. In an attempt to pay back all the teaching they had from Starswirl, they formulate a plan with Twilight to bring back his old master. They could not prepare for what came with. Can ancient struggles be put aside to save Equestria? Or is the world doomed to fall to the desires of a monster.

Drawing on inspiration from the arc where the Pillars were summoned, this story is about digging up ancient friends and foes alike. Set after Luna and Celestia tell Twilight about retirement, but before any of the endings of the final season (save Sombra returning again). Some NSFW content.
