Chapter 1: You're not supposed to be here.
Author Notes: To at least understand the story you have to watch one of Al's Fallout New Vegas videos
This is also the first story I have ever wrote so please tell me what I need to work on.
Somewhere... in the Mojave Wasteland
"Hello guy doughnut with a boy here." Al said into the mic.
"It looks like we got our self's another mod to review for Fallout New Veges. Something about being able to make your companions fast travel to where you tell them to go, also a item that allows you to talk to them if they are not with you."
Equips item then pulls its out to show.
"From the looks of it, it appears to be a walkie talkie."
Pulls out pip-boy and looks in inventory to drop the item.
Clack
"Yea just a ordinary walkie talkie..."
Turns it over to see a small light bulb illuminating it in a red color.
"With a red light bulb sticking out the back of it, probably to make it easier to find it if you were to drop it." Keeps looking at it before turning to his companions.
"Well anyways lets test it out shall we."
Looks over to Jerry McGhoulBerry direction first.
"Hey Jerry want to be the test subject in this crazy experiment that might get you killed?!"
"....."
"What do you mean you have a dentist appointment later today... you know what fine."he stated in a angry and annoyed tone, "I'm sure someone else doesn't have plans."he finished saying, now turning to Mister Cuddlesworth.
" How about you Cuddles, you seem like the kind of death claw who doesn't have any plans?"
".....", Cuddles answer ending with a low rumbling sound.
"You already have plans? For what?"
"...."
"Wait... you're taking Jerry to the dentist? Why would you need to take him anyway, he's a big boy... ghoul... man thing?"
"....."
"I know its dangerous to travel alone it just..."
"....."
Al sighed knowing his defeat, "I guess you're right, now the I think about it there have been more Business Roaches roaming the Mojave in search of me and the others that haven't paid their mortgage." Al starts remembering the many people he has met over the years. "Just like the people of Good Springs. Before we got there the whole place was crawling with Business Roaches demanding the townsfolk to pay for living there and for the so called 'protection' of the town. Want to know what kind of protection?"
Cuddles respond by turning invisible.
"Exactly, they weren't there. When the town needed them to stop the Powder Ganger from holding up the town they abandoned them.", Al said in a angry tone.
"If it wasn't for me the town would be run by them whores still." He turned to Steve and notice that his head was swaying side to side.
"You remember. You remember don't you.", Al murmur to Steve.
Steve was standing guard in front of Good Spring in his business suite. Keeping watch to make sure that the rest of the town doesn't leave, so they escape from paying the overly priced mortgage.
As the hot Sun just started to set in the dry Mojave, Steve notice his shift was over. As he went to find the night guard, to switch with him, he thought he saw something off in the distance. After looking at the dark road ahead of him for some time he just decided it was nothing.
He continue to crawl towards the bar knowing that the night guard was most likely there sleeping as what he usually does as he wait for his shift. As he approach the door he quickly spins around to the sounds of footsteps behind him and was greeted by a group of men.
The one in the head of the pack was holding what looks to be a long, red stick with a string coming out one of the ends. When the man realized that they had been spotted he then pulled out a lighter from his pocket and lighted the red stick before throwing it to Steve direction. Steve, not knowing what it was, stayed there.
When the stick landed it started to roll toward him while giving of a low 'hiss'. As it stops in front of Steve, he was then able to see letters printed on it. It read 'TNT' in big bold letters.
T-N-T..., ooo shit! Was all that Steve could think before the TNT exploded. The explosion then launched Steve, helplessly, toward the door that broke on impact. As he flew through the room, it seemed as if the world started to slow down around him. He could see people as they're running to hide behind tables from the explosion.
Everything then started to go back to normal speed as soon as his body came to a stop against the wall in the back room. He fell to the floor and was too injured to get up. As he laid on the floor he heard a voice of a man shouting.
"Now listen up all you bitches!", the man yelled. " We're not here to kill you so quit all your crying. We're just wondering if you happen to see a man by the name of Ringo and if so it be better to just tell us."
The bartender stood up from behind her bar-table and ask in a scared but steady tone, "What exactly did he do?"
"Its none of your business that's 'what'!", the man shout at her before approaching her then put both hands on the table, leaning forward a bit, looking her in the eye. "But if you have to know. We're looking for him because him and his caravan killed some of friends and we're just here to get some payback."
"Why would he kill them? I'm sure there's a reason for it."
"Well, you sure ask a lot of questions. He killed them because he wouldn't give them his supplies."
"Sounds to me they had it coming.", a voice mock from behind.
From this statement the man turned around to see who uttered those words and was greeted by the sight of an old, worn out man. This made the old man flinch back a bit. The sight of the old man formed a grin on the man's face.
"Ooooo is that so, well I guess it only makes sense to say that you had this coming." he said as he turns to one of his other men. "Hey Bonecrusher, why not show this loudmouth why you're called that."
Bonecrusher gave a nod to who seemed to be the leader of the pack. He approached the old man, and looked down on him while grinning. Clearly there was a sizes difference between the two men. Bonecrusher, being twice his size, towered over him before he grabbed one of his arms, with one hand, and lifted him of the ground. He started by closing his hand with just great force that the bone being snap could be heard .
The old man cried out in pain as he felt his arm bone being turned to dust, and with that the bartender finally shouted, "STOP!"
With that everything fell silent, besides the sound of the old man breathing heavily. She looked at the leader quietly saying, "Stop... please stop. I'll tell you thing you want to know, just please stop."
"Thats all we wanted.", he then turn to Bonecrusher to signal him to let go of the old man. The old man was then dropped to the floor with a thud and groaning with pain.
"Now tell me, where is he.", demanded the leader.
"Ok.", she started of, "The man you're looking for did come by asking for a place to hide. I ask him why, but he wouldn't tell me. Thats when I told him to leave, but he beg me to help him."
"So where's he hiding."
"I told him of a building just down the road, south of here, where he can go."
"Is that all?"
"Yes."
"There, was that so hard.", he stated in a sick tone as he simle. He turn to his man and shout, "Ok boys let's get outta this dump."
As him and his man start to walk out he stop at the door, and turn back saying, "If he's not there...," he narrowed his eyes a bit, "we'll be back." Then they were gone.
Steve, still hurt but able to move, starts to crawl to the back door. When he opens it, he sees that the Business Roaches were leaving. Not only leaving the town, but leaving him behind. He couldn't believe.
He tried to chase after them, but he no longer did he have the strength to go on. He went over to the workbench and crawled under it to rest.
I'm just going to closes my eyes... for just... a minute.
His eyes closed, and didn't open.
