A human male sits in the living room on his couch, middle aged, young looking, no facial hair. He sips some coffee from a cup on the table and sets it down leaving a small circle stain on the wooden table, He sighs and cleans it off with a small white towel.
He looks over at the door to the bathroom and checks his watch.
6:21 AM, The clock states.
"Hurm.." He mutters under his breath
He gets up and pulls the chair back and walks over to the door, he opens the door and takes off his watch and sets it near the sink. He looks at his clear shower curtains and looks over at the towels hanging from the mounted bar on the side and starts to take his clothes off, He unzips his pants and sets them on counter, He closes the toilet cover and grabs his pants again putting it on the toilet. He takes his shirt off and places it on top of his pants.
He pulls the curtains to the side and steps into the bath, with the shower head attached to the wall side. He closes the curtains and then turns the shower knob on, Cool cold water flows onto his face from the shower. He quickly pulls the knob to a more warmer temperature. The curtains rustle slightly as small drops of water hit it. The man looks over at the soap and shampoo sitting on the edge of the bath, He ignores it and looks up to the shower and then down at the knob again.
He turns it slowly more warmer to 90, Then turns it again to 100. He groans for a second but is fine after a couple seconds. He looks down at the drain and his feet, he feels the water warming around his feet and then looks over at the knob and turns it to 110, The mirror begins to fog up slowly, The clear curtains start fogging up slowly also as the heat grows slightly. He stands as the water flows over him, dripping down from his hair down to the drain.
He groans again and turns it over to 120 as warm mist begins to appear from the water, as he groans every so slightly every couple seconds. The shower begins to whistle slightly as the man has a very soft grin on his face, but he doesn't seem satisfied enough. The curtains are already almost fogged up, and the mirror is fogged up and some of the mist is entering the main part of the bathroom.
The whistle noise gradually grows louder as he begins to groan more, in pain, Almost coughing as the heat rises and the mist grows in thickness slightly and expands more and more. He begins to scream and turns the knob to 130. He screams in agony and pain as the water below him starts turning a little red, he coughs, groans and winces. A little piece of flesh flows down the drain below as his skin starts turning red slightly as he outreaches one hand out onto the wall holding himself up as the pain grows and the noise gets even louder.
His vision grows blurry and the entire room is almost filled with mist, he turns the knob to 140. He screams with pain but smiles in joy and starts laughing, his skin starts peeling off, blood flows down his legs and hands, his hair begins to melt away as it falls down the drain. The floor below him is almost completely red and tinted with blood. He isn't screaming anymore and is just laughing and crying tears of joy.
He groans for a second and coughs up some blood and almost collapses into the tub. He keeps his balance every so slightly as a huge chunk of his hair falls down. He laughs like a maniac enjoying every last minute of it. He even opens his eyes for a second screaming in pain before closing them and laughing again. He stumbles down and almost falls but holds onto the wall before getting up slowly and then grabbing the knob, He turns the knob to 150 and collapse almost fainting.
He gets up again and then grabs the knob and turns it all the way down and the shower turns off, the water stops flowing and he groans and coughs in pain, still smiling. He coughs up some blood and his whole entire skin is all flesh, he has no skin left as he bleeds from every part of his body. His hair is all over the tub and most of it is gone, He has no hair left on his head. He opens the curtains and stumbles out of the tub slowly while holding onto the wall to keep his balance. He coughs and grabs onto the bar pulling himself up with the weakened state he's in, It takes a couple seconds before he stands up fully kneeling down a little. The room is filled with mist and he rubs his eyes trying to make out through his blurry vision.
He laughs slightly and chuckles, He catches his breath and has troubling breathing but gets up and gradually makes it to the sink, walking slowly almost tripping over the carpet on the floor. He almost falls but catches himself and grabs onto the sides of the counter. He looks into the sink drain before looking back up on the mirror. He cant make out anything in the mirror and laughs as he slowly lifts his hand up. Chuckling and groaning under his breath. He smiles and slowly moves his hand closer to the mirror putting it on the very far side of the mirror. He laughs one more time and pulls his hand over the fogged up mirror to reveal.
Lyra.
She is fine expect for being completely wet.
There is also no Human anywhere.
Lyra stands smiling in the same position in a completely different bathroom behind her, her smiles turns to a frown as she realizes nothing happen. She tilts her head down and she begins to cry.
