Rarity was idling in the "Oolalaa~" café in Manehattan at half past 9 at night, jazz music playing in the background, as she sipped her coffee, with caramel and sugar with a cute filly drawn on the cream on top, she hated it black. In this alternate Reality, Rarity is a full-Time Independent Private Investigator, Private Eye for short.
Rarity, along with her Assistant in the Office, Sweetie Belle, whom was training to be a Private eye by working for Rarity, would Help Rarity with Various Investigations, though Rarity mainly had her staying in the office due to how sometimes hard her work was, and how tough it can be in the city. Sweetie Belle only arrived from Ponyville, her old home, just two months ago, so she was still getting used to everything. Rarity was at the Café with Coco Pommel, who in this universe took on more of a dramatic fashionista personality like Rarity's in the Canon Universe. In this Place, While Rarity did not skimp out on her fashion tastes, her personality was far more mature/toned and more calm, and subtle like Maud Pie's Personality, but with far more emotional emotion, and with a strongly professional tone centered around being a private eye as opposed to a whiny tailor/business owner.
She was not afraid to do her job, but she made sure to do her job right, and do right to others, as all good detectives should: solving the mysteries, and bringing closure to all who bring her a case to solve, embodying her love for generosity which existed across time and space, (even if not part of a six member team of friendship, as Rarity did not know Twilight or the others at all, for they never met in this universe).
After dinner and a laugh, Rarity Parted ways with Coco, whom always seemed to be in good mood, and always was thinking about how to make the most stylish dresses, though she wasn't as irritable and over the top like Canon Rarity, she had the personality of a Jazz Singer, which was toned, yet still naturally fun. As Rarity walked away, she glanced at Coco, who was nothing short of fabulous with how her figure swayed as she walked, and Rarity couldn't help but find herself moved by how graceful she was in that sparkly dress. She held herself from getting "involved." She wanted to marry a Stallion one day, and Coco already had a lover.
After a While walking, Rarity made it back to the office, where her bed was in another room next door, where Sweetie Belle Bunked in the bed above her. They didn't have a lot of money, but Rarity and Sweetie Belle did well with what they had, and Sweetie Belle was a great secretary, always communicating with Rarity the important info and helping her stay organized. Her office was never cleaner. While sitting at her desk, she thought about how she never knew what was going to come through that door next, but when she got back from spending time with the more dramatic, yet still lovely Coco, her door bursted open with a new client.
"Miss Rarity?"
Through the Open Door, an Dapper White Stallion with a Violet mane walked in after thrashing it open, he looked to be a few years older than Rarity, and stylish, with a wine red suit that looked very expensive.
Rarity, slightly startled by the sudden opening, composed herself quickly and stood up at her desk, expressing herself calmly, and politely, as if she wasn't bothered by the sudden outburst, which seemed to also startle Sweetie Belle, whom remained quiet upon eye contact with Rarity, whom softly nodded to reassure her it was fine.
"Sir, can I ask why you barged into my office after hours?"
The Older Stallion composed himself.
"Yes, of course, where are my manners? Detective Rarity, I am Razzle Dazzle, the Owner of the Biggest Club in all of Manehattan, The 'Hoof and Hay.' I came here to ask you to work on a big case. There's been a murder, but we don't know who the killer is, and I was told you were the best of the best. Can you take on the case?"
Sweetie Belly Gasped slightly, for while she has helped Rarity with smaller cases, such as that with thefts, fraud, and even an investigation into romantic affairs (Rarity assisted a Mare whom claimed to have a cheating husband, who turned out be lying the whole time, and the husband was only holding out on his embarrassment with his collection of bobbleheads, of which he hid with great devotion. That case ended with no divorce). To think we're dealing with murder, thought Sweetie Belle, whom looked at Rarity again, calmed by how Rarity asserted herself.
Rarity, more assured, had dealt with murder cases in the past, and needed the money. Dismissing her frustrations with Razzle Dazzle as a potentially high paying Client, whom she found VERY charming, decided to accept the case without hesitation.
"I'd be willing to look at the scene tomorrow morning, and take the case. When can I come by?"
"Excellent," said Razzle Dazzle, "I shall arrange for the Club to be closed for the week for the sake of this investigation. Meet me in my Office on Tomorrow morning at noon, it's on the top floor of the building, at the end of the hall, my guards will escort you there."
"Very well, We'll be there."
"Excellent, Thank you so much Detective Rarity. Take Care, and see you tomorrow~"
Razzle Dazzle offered a charming grin to show his appreciation for Rarity's eagerness to help, then taking off, closing the door gently as opposed to when he came in.
"Well Sweetie Belle, looks like we're on the case again." Rarity said calmly, concealing her infatuation with Razzle Dazzle to keep things professional, as she always did.
"Wow, I'll do my best rarity, This'll be my first Murder case."
"You'll do fine, you've been a big help to me, and that's never changing, you'll always be my big helper."
Sweetie Belle, heartwarmed by Rarity's supportive sweetness, hugged her big sister as if there was no tomorrow, assured by her love. They then went to bed after kissing goodnight.
The Next Morning, Rarity and Sweetie Belle both woke up at 6:00 sharp, just like they always did, making breakfast in their Studio Apartment, which doubled as their office, as their LandLord appreciated offering residence to Manehattan's most skilled Detective and her assistant/sister.
After a light Breakfast, Rarity headed out to discuss a smaller case with another client at the café, which was her usual hotspot for taking on new clients, people knew how to find her, though Razzle was quite odd to come by after hours at short notice. Rarity pondered, thinking of a a mix of inquiry as well as profoundly lust-filled fantasy, for Rarity was saving herself for a very special Stallion. Maybe it was him, maybe not, I suppose I'll polish off my prized pearl when I get home, as she held it in her hand.
It was a gift from Sweetie Belle, she loved pearls, and knew rarity always had a knack for gems, but never could wear them on the job, so she had on in her bag, next to her locket which had a picture of her with her parents, whom lived far away, yet were always sending love, and Sweetie Belle, back when she was a little Filly. She's grown over the years, as have I, Rarity thought, one day, I want to settle down, but I don't know when I'll do that...
Trailing off into nostalgic space, she didn't even notice Sweet Coco sitting down with her in the booth.
"Hey."
Rarity heard her voice and turned her attention to her accordingly, trying to hide how dazed she was thinking about Razzle, and family.
"Hey."
"Is something on your mind, Raaarityyyy~?"
Her teasing was exaggerate, but it sure got Rarity a little nervous, chuckling a little.
"Heheh, very funny, Coco. You won't believe it, I was approached last night at my office, by some rich gent, by the name of Razzle Dazzle."
Wow, haha, aren't you something special~" Coco laughed, seductively staring at Rarity to tease her a little.
She continued, "What'd he come by for?"
"Oh, right. He wanted me to solve the murder case."
Yeah, I saw an article about it in the paper this morning, must be something else, to know that a Haaandsome Man~ wants you~ to help out. I think he may want a lot~ more than that, Rarity~"
Rarity, used to Coco's teasing, composed herself and smiled.
"You may be right. It'd be nice to have a life where I can be a Mare who is sought after, and a professional. I could have it all."
"Play it cool dear~ You may just get what you want~"
Coco, remaining vague and seductively goofy as usual, pranced herself over to the mic stand, for on the weekends, she would sing for the club.
Rarity stayed, quietly fantasizing over Coco, yet lusting even more over Razzle Dazzle. But she focused on her work, meeting with one of her clients for a smaller case she had already finished, discussing terms of payment for a case on Money Laundering.
She needed some air after, for it was time for go over to the club, to meet with the Stallion himself.
…
Upon Arrival at the "Hoof And Hay," Rarity noticed that while usually there were lots of people in and out of the biggest club in Manehattan, and even Equestria for that matter, there was not a soul there, save for one guard whom seemed to be waiting for something
He spotted Rarity, and walked over rather menacingly, but slow.
He then spoke.
"Are you Detective Rarity?"
Rarity showed her ID to the guard, as she knew this was part of his job
"Yes, Sir."
"Follow me, the boss is Waiting for you in the Suite."
Rarity followed the guard inside after he unlocks the door for a moment to let her in.
The Club was empty, and most of the lights off, which was off-putting at first, because usually there were tons of other ponies enjoying the fun and games that Club Held. She used to drop by all the time, to have a little fun, though when Sweetie Belle came by, she sobered up and stopped going by to be a better example for her, at least until she's mature enough for that scene.
It's a real swank place: Lots of Slot Machines in the Casino, A large Dance Floor and Bar area around a large stage that hosted all sorts of famous singers, along with famous guests. Even Princess Celestia herself honored the Hoof and Hay with a Ceremonial Visit. It was a 5 Star Facility, Hotel, Casino, Theatre, Bar, Restaurant, Arcade, spa, salon, movie theatre, and more. This place had everything, and it made so much money from the many who came.
The Guard sent Rarity up through the Special Lift Elevator which was locked off to all patrons and employees, with exceptions of Razzle Dazzle's family, bodyguards, as well as himself. The Elevator moved swiftly, yet gentler than the common elevators, taking the two to the top floor, a section of it where only the Dazzle Family could come by.
They made it to the room, whom the guard opened up the tall French doors for Rarity, whom walked in after. Inside, there was a large room, with a library loft, big windows overlooking the rest of the city, and Razzle Dazzle Himself, spinning around to reveal himself behind the big chair he sat in, which covered him as he was turned towards the window when Rarity came in with the guard.
He Faced Her with that charming smile.
"Detective Rarity, what a pleasant surprise. Please come in, have a seat."
There were two guards watching Rarity from opposite ends of the desk, and the guard who brought Rarity in, closed the doors behind him waiting outside.
Rarity saw Two Chairs to sit in by the monstrous desk that Razzle had, deciding to sit down.
"Haha, I hope you don't mind the guards, there's a lot of people who would love to see me dead, so I apologize for the intensity.
"Oh, not at all, Mr. Raaazzl.."
"Please, Call me Razzly."
Rarity, feeling greatly infatuated with Razzle's hospitality, decided to return it with a flirtatious, yet professional tone.
Well, Razzly~, you can just call me Rarity then~"
Razzle Noticed Rarity getting a little frisky, and took it in stride.
"Wonderful, all the better to handle these rather unfortunate circumstances. So, you've handled murder cases before?"
"Oh, I have solved a few, they're a good challenge to refresh me in my work, I usually just do small cases."
"You don't say? You seem pretty competent, matching what people tell me about. I hear you're glamorous, open-minded, thoughtful, attentive, exceptional at your job, yet still as generous as my sweet old grandmother."
"Oh~ Well, I'm flattered you think of me as such."
"Of course, I knew who to call, there are other private eyes, but they aren't able to keep up with you, and you're working out of your apartment too, talk about an investment."
Rarity smirked, and laughed softly at Razzle's thoughtful complements.
"Well, I try with what I got. Me and Sweetie Belle are able to get by?"
"Haha, I have no doubt you'll be able to do that with how you helped the mayor himself find that historical artifact, eeeh, what was it called again?"
"It was a diamond that was 1000 years old, it's been treasured for centuries by pony historians, and they were relieved to find that shiny rock, I happen to have a thing for rocks, can even smell them apart."
"Well, in that case, maybe you ought to be a geologist, Ahahaha!"
"Ohohohoho, that's much too dirty for my liking. I would prefer to solve mysteries about them, if I'm being honest, but I do love gems of
all kinds."
"I'm sure you do. Well, in any case, since you're here, feel free to check out the scene, I was able to get a copy of all the reports from the police, I'm sure that will be useful to your investigation, I will be here if you would like to speak again. You're welcome to enjoy yourself as well at the facilities, I know that it must be hard getting by as a private eye these days, make yourself at home."
"Sure, though, is there anything I should know from you?"
"It's all in the file. While I wasn't here when it happened, I read over it while you were on the way, and it looks like the man was shot dead with 9mm shot, most likely with a pistol. That's as much as I know, though I do have my employee suspects here at the facility for you to question. Feel free to enjoy whatever you'd like on your breaks, and you can contact me through the front desk, tell them you have a code Violet and that you're Detective Rarity. They'll know what to do."
"Yes, of course, I'll come back when I've organized the case more. Take Care, Razzly."
"You as Well, Rarity."
Rarity left the office and went downstairs.
She found the crime scene after being there by the guards. The Body was removed, but the taping of the body is still there, along with
The blood, as well as the room being similarly unchanged from how the pictures the cops took of the area the day before.

Rarity went over what the Cops had gotten together, knowing Razzle must have serious political power to be able to get ahold of these documents so easily without being part of the police force
Combined Average Story of everyone:
It was a normal day at the Hoof and Hay Dinner Theatre, then as they were cleaning up after a show, SomePony in a High Coat just waltzed in and started shooting. There were others wounded, but Hundred Miles was one one to be fatally wounded.
Cheese Sandwich and Pinkie Pie's Story: Suddenly there was some guy, and boom boom boom, people ran for the hills. We didn't get a good look at them,
NIles's Story: While Crying, she exclaimed that the guy who shot her boyfriend had a Purple Coat and their mane was a short Green.
Joda Soda: Her Story was the most juicy: She had a full view hidden under the bartender door out of sight. She was able to set the alarm
Which saved everyone and sent the gunman in a craze.
Everyone else bolted and didn't know anything as they got away from the action, even if shot.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________
After overlooking all the Evidence: This seemed like the easiest murder case she's ever seen: Some Stallion shooting up the place for some odd reason, exposing his coat and mane with his sloppy job, but she didn't know who the murderer was yet, so she took the time to head over to the security room upstairs on the second floor.
Upon showing her badge, the guards in the room and guarding the door agreed to let her look around at the footage. It's odd that such a sloppy job couldn't be captured, he was somehow able to outsmart all of the security ponies and fight his way out. Seeing how big he was in the shots, proved he was a stallion, no doubt, no Mare is that big.
Upon further inspection, with asking the guards on duty that night, each opened up about how this stallion was like no other pony, he couldn't have been that strong on his own. Some of the guards suggested he used magic to up his strength, as well as maybe a potion while off-camera, and is perhaps smaller in real life. Though, on the footage of him running away, as well as around the building, it didn't show him changing size.
That could mean he was drinking a very potent potion. Some are made more stronger than others, but if that were the case, he would need to either use illegal bodybuilding magic/potions, or he used extra portions of legal amounts which he could obtain at a magic shop.
Rarity went on to investigate this further, stopping by the various magic shops in town, which were scarce, since most ponies in the city were either not interested in magic, nor could possess magic as ponies.
There were three Shops, Two were shut down, only one Magic Shop Remained, that was Wizardly Wendy's Wonders.
Wendy the Wizardly was a Young Mare with excellent talent, and business. Her trade did well, being the only one in town.
Rarity spoke to Wendy about the murders, and asked of customers with Purple coats and green manes.
And she said there are many ponies who match that description, but she remembered one:
Grapevine
Grapevine didn't have a police record, he was supposedly a very peaceful guy, he ran a winery outside of town, producing some of the best wine in Equestria, most notably his most popular drink, VineClimb Select.
Rarity went out to the Winery to meet Grapevine, who matched the huge stature on the tapes, though his mane was long as opposed to short. She asked about the murder, and Grapevine claimed to not know anything, citing that the only reason he visited Wendy's Wonders was to experiment with how magic could get his crops to grow faster.
Something seemed off to Rarity, as she thought back to the tapes.
This didn't seem to add up.
She left the winery after saying thank you, after he generously offered her a wine worth half her monthly payment.
Someone that nice surely wouldn't be the killer, but just as easily, he may be hiding.
He seemed like an easy target, and there were other things to investigate, so Rarity, stopped, and call it a night.
Upon reaching home after eating dinner at the Café, Sweetie Belle was already asleep in the top bunk. Rarity joined her in the bottom bunk, and tucked herself in with her magic, and went to bed.
But before she could turn out the light, she heard the clicking of a gun. A masked Figure who wasn't a pony, aimed it at Rarity.
Rarity Surrendered herself, the culprit woke up Sweetie Belle Too.
"You're Coming with me. Soon, all will be clear, you snooping detective."
Rarity and Sweetie Belle were knocked out.
...
When Woken up, Rarity found herself tied up next to Sweetie Belle, whom was still knocked out.
They appeared to be in some cell, with armed guards of a different species, varying from Yaks, to Earth Ponies, to Pegasi, to MothPonies, to Birds to Dogs, and they all wore vests with an insignia that looked like a paw print, but it was dirty, and there was a red symbol shaped like the Letter J, but it looked super fancy.
one noticed Rarity was awake, and yelled, "She's awake."
They All aimed their guns at Rarity, who froze in place.
Then another voice, nearer, was heard.
"What a job you've done snooping around her. I've always hated detectives, they put their noses where they don't belong, and uncover things that ought to be left unnoticed."
"UNHAND ME THIS INSTANT."
Chuckles of laughter followed Rarity's bold demand in a place of weakness.
"Do you know why you're here, Pony?"
"No, I was kidnapped against my will."
"You'll have to apologize, my men need to work on their bedside manner, but I assure you this is no ordinary group of interspecies research."
"Who are you? Why do you take me of all people?"
"Why else? Because you were about to get stuck doing something you didn't want to do."
"What are you implying? That doing my job gets me killed?"
"I'm talking about Hundred Mile's Death. You Took the Job, sunk your teeth into a deal with great cash. I knew you City Folk were Greedy, but I never knew it was this bad."
"You better have a good reason to attack me and my sister."
Sweetie Belle started waking up, seeing the gun, and started to panic.
"AAAAAAH, WHERE ARE WEE??!!"
"The shadow figure raised a hand, and one of the men fired off a round, which hurt Rarity's Ears, as well as Sweetie Belle's and quieted them down.
"You will not talk to me that way, as long as you're in my possession. Now that I have your full attention, allow me to introduce myself."
The Mysterious figure, looked as if it was some Lovecraftian Abomination. A Cerulean Slime Creature, with Multiple Eyes and mouths, with the capability of forming into different people with different characters, morphed into a perfectly mimicked form of Rarity, to Rarity's Horror, speechless by how uncannily identical he was to her in this form.
"I am Celador, the one who will overthrow Royalty in Equestria as we know it. Hundred Miles was the last man with Royal Blood apart from the main bloodlines. Princess Cadence and Luna have been captured, as well as Shining Armor, I have minions who can shapeshift as well, they are covering for me, and are doing very well. We will make our move, and unleash Equestria's most powerful ancient weapon, a device Princess Celestia wants greatly to remove from the history books to satisfy her agenda. Today marks the Day of a new era. This machine will harness the power of the stars, and grant any one Creature ultimate power for a limited time. Usually the power kills anyone whom uses it, but I have volunteers who are more than able to harness the power, and we will have an army, that will bring back the Ponocculus, the true rulers of Equestria, and they will reign for the next 1000s of years, ending Celestia's supposed rule of harmony, changing nature as she sees fit, what a tyrant. 6000 years ago, her conquest of friendship voyage killed every member of my family. Discord wasn't the only stoned creature. Princess Celestia's Great Grandparents were the ones who stoned the remaining Ponocculus sending them to the bottom of the sea. Warriors far stronger than any pony that has ever lived. They will all die when the Ponocculus will see to reclaiming their land again. This machine will blast them free, and by the nature of the curse unbroken, the Ponocculus will grant one wish to the freer of the curse, and we together will wish for a world where our territories of Equestria on the Southwestern coast will be ours to keep in exchange for letting them have all of Equestria. We have the manpower and tech to kill them, so they will comply, and Equestria will be no more, the Ponoculii Republic will RETURN! Hundreds of Ponocculii will rise from the sea. As a Slime, I have lived longer than anyone, even Celestia and I can truly say having lived in those days, this is real justice, and there's nothing you can do about it, you destitute detective lowlives. I will restore the world back to the way it was, and you shall in lands far away where you will learn to live in peace with ponies from other lands, and if you come back, you will die."
"What the-"
Before Rarity Could speak more, she was muzzled, unable to speak, as well as Sweetie Belle.
"Now, you will witness the end of your mystery career, for your little mystery is solved before it even happened."
The Ray, already having been blasted, hits the Ponocculus, and the Ponocculus Giant Ponies came to life, most of which were Alicorns whom had both magical, and flying capabilities, as well as Earthly Strength from their Ancestors.
They arise from their sea Prisons, and the Leaders of Equestria are wiped out, or fled, Princess Celestia was staked in the heart, alongside the other princesses, and Canterlot was burned to the ground, The Ponocculus destroyed the Castle, and the towns, and cities, and aimed to destroy all who invaded their land, their rivals in the ancient past, the Pony Alliance of land Magic, and sky, whom used forbidden occult magic to seal away the Ponocculus from their homeland.
Rarity and Sweetie Belle Watched as All of ManeHattan was destroyed, by the Ponocculus, and the Millitary and guard didn't have a chance, nor did their magic.
They were shortly escorted out of Equestria, and left on a tropical Island Colony in the middle of nowhere, and Rarity and Sweetie Belle were some of the few survivors of Present Day Equestria being wiped off the map, Celador was even nice enough to round up her parents and bring them to the island as well. A Very Generous slime he was, even with making the tough decisions to save the natural world which was griped by elites and royals for so long.
They cried and Cried, but eventually moved on with the help of colonists whom didn't even know Equestria existed, yet lived normal lives.
They adjusted, and Rarity married a Local Tribesman named TorchLaught, Sweetie Belle also married a tribesman as well, a man named Greater Day. They Both had many Foals each.
They adjusted, and learned to forget about Equestria and Live happy lives together, forgetting about the Dreadful Noir Cityscape that once was their dream, to now find love in tropical paradise.
And they lived happily ever after, even after it all. A Silver Lining in every cloud.
The End.
