Transpierce The Afterlife

Blurry darken colored lights flashing in a blur, Muffled noises all around the darkness. soft, noticeable Music is heard through the darkness almost like it's playing in somebody's mind.

Miro blinks for a moment and rubs his eyes after the small micro-sleep dream he just had, Miro stands against a balcony looking from a 10th story apartment building in Las Vegas. Miro looks at his watch and sees It's about to hit Midnight at the clock. He looks up to see an airplane passing by in the sky, Rainbow lights shining up into the sky, All the buildings look colorful, Even the street below. Flashing billboards on random buildings and apartments, A crane in the distance. The normal view in Sin City.

Music is playing from an apartment a couple apartments from his, distant but calming.

"Hey Twilight, come here" Miro asks turning around and looking into his apartment, Twilight Sparkle walks to the balcony and looks up with Miro next to her, slow purple lights flashing from inside the small apartment behind them.

"I wonder what Las Vegas looks like from all the way up there" Miro says looking at the airplane

"It's probably just a large rainbow across the city, all these colors everywhere" Twilight responds

"It was not the future we thought the world would be, well not your species, y'know.." Miro responds looking at her

"Yeah.." Twilight answers softly

"I would be scared up there.. since our magic still doesn't work well, we could crash and die.." Twilight says

"They say you fly when you die.." Miro answers calmly

"Hm.." Twilight grunts to herself and walks back inside, Miro follows shortly after.

"Hey, check out this book Ethan gave me" Miro says grabbing a book with the title "The Book Of The Dead"

"Ethan that fucking junkie?" Twilight asks

"It's like all what happens after you die, really interesting" Miro says showing Twilight the book

Miro smiles and goes over to lock the door.

Miro walks over to the bed and grabs a lighter on the nightstand. He flicks it to make sure it turns on and then walks over to the small kitchen, Miro grabs an empty coca cola can and opens the lid to show drugs inside of it. Miro grabs a small package labeled "DMT" Miro pats it and some of it trickles down onto a small bong on the table, Miro turns the lights off and the hue of purple light and the flashing lights outside mix indoors.

Miro grabs the bong and starts to light it up, Miro exhales and smokes it slowly as it enters his mouth. The lights start flickering faster after a minute as his vision blurs as he slowly lays down onto the bed. Miro looks up on he ceiling, Lines and twisting lines and colors start appearing in a mess and jumbled up like spiders webs, The lines expand and duplicate as the sounds of muffled distorting like moving as the drugs enter his brain. He blinks as the room returns as he floats above his body slowly floating and looking over his still body laying on the bed. Voices and noise mumble and distort together as waves of sound feel like they're echoing around the room and repeating. The lights appear as his mind floats through a sea of colors and distorted objects twisted like spikes of cactus or grass or hair. Geometric like shapes form, Noises like a portal or space, Small animals moving through the shapes. Lines retreating and moving like blood flowing through veins. Bizarre alien like trees with more and more on the branches forming and retracting. Colors changing like a rainbow slowly. DNA and parts of the body blend in through the color. Sperm like worms moving around changing and pulsating. Colors opening like portals, Spiked tendrils and stems moving like a wave, Muffled water noises and gurgling. Everything flickers as the sound of a phone ringing wakes Miro up from it.

Miro is still in a daze and has blurred vision and rubs his eyes and picks up his phone to see It's an unknown number calling him, Miro is still confused and answers it.

"Hey, found your number written on a sidewalk, You selling something?" The deep male voice asks

"Oh- Yeah you looking for something strong?" Miro asks

"Yeah, heard you got some DMT, pretty strong shit.. got any?" The man asks

"Yeah, I got some. Meet me at the local strip club at Highland Dr" Miro says

"We can figure out the price there.." Miro says

"Perfect, see you soon" The man answers before hanging up.

Miro coughs as he still has some of the drug in his mind, he breathes and exhales and then looks over and sees a large geometric shape in his room.

"Oh fuck.." Miro says as the lights flashes and expands before Miro blinks multiple time and rubs his eyes standing up slowly, and getting off the bed.

"Wake up!" Miro whispers and walks slowly towards the bathroom, "Collect yourself.." Miro whispers to himself as he makes it to the bathroom and opens the door.

Miro turns the lights on blinking due to the light and then looking at himself in the mirror.

"Oh god- I look like shit.." Miro whispers as he turns the sink on and starts to wash his eyes and his face trying to wake himself up. Miro splashes it on his chest mostly and fixes up his hair a little and then rubbing his eyes one more time. Miro grabs the towel and cleans himself up, then puts it off to the side.

Someone rings the doorbell and knocks.

"Oh fuck" Miro whispers and turns the lights off in the bathroom walking out leaving the door open, He walks over to the door and looks in the peephole, Someone is standing there.

"Ethan" Miro says as he unlocks the door and opens it.

"Hey Miro! you alright?" Ethan asks

"Yeah.. how about you? what you doing lately?" Miro asks

"Good, just nothing much really, Doing pretty good" Ethan responds

"Just need a shower" Ethan adds as he walks inside.

"Oh have you read the book I gave you?" Ethan asks

"Oh the book? yeah I've been reading it, It's really interesting I like it a lot.. I haven't finished it yet, but i'm enjoying it, Its really a wild book" Miro answers as he picks the book up from the bed where he placed it.

"Mind if I keep it?" Miro asks

"Yeah sure I don't mind" Ethan says as he smokes a joint and breathes heavily and walks over to the balcony.

"You okay?" Miro asks

"Huh.. Interesting" Miro says as Ethan walks out the door, Miro grabs the key to the door and puts it into his pocket, and then turns off the lights and follows Ethan outside.

"The streets are really empty, usually theres people fucking everywhere" Ethan says

"Yeah I saw, kinda weird but doesn't matter for me" Miro says as they open an exit door and start walking down the stairwell.

"You look like you tripping." Ethan says

"You can tell? Shit.. Yeah I took some DMT, fucking crazy" Miro responds

"Sounds like a good fucking day to me!" Ethan says

"Yeah but the day ain't over yet, still got shit to do" Miro says

They reach the 8th floor and through one of the rooms somewhere not far down, Music is playing from a room.

They continue walking down.

"I do want to find some of that strong shit you described, do you know the name of it?" Miro asks

"No, I just heard about.. probably one of those big gang groups has them- I don't fucking know, I just know what happens when you take it" Ethan answers

"Hm.." Miro whispers to himself as they reach the 7th floor.

"Wait until you die, that will be the biggest fucking trip you will have" Ethan says laughing a little

Miro chuckles and answers "Yeah I got to a part in the book, its fucking confusing but its trippy as shit, so that's good"

"How would you explain it? not the book but the drug?" Miro asks as they reach the 6th floor where the song was coming from.

"It's really hard to explain it- but like, when you take it apparently you can travel through time and like through your memories and feel like your right there.. at first it's like your entire life flashes before your eyes and then the memories begin of everything and then you can like control yourself, where you go and shit, like a ghost you can float around the world, people even said you can go into the future.. you would see all different colors even impossible ones, and you can like hear everything, see everything- fucking trippy" Ethan answers as they reach the 2nd floor.

"Holy shit... sounds like some Science Fiction stuff.. could be real with the shit thats been happening, really wanna know if it could work." Miro says

Ethan opens a door into a hallway and start walking down it towards an exit door at the end of the hall.

"But you could go crazy during it, might have some really bad fucking trips- or even magic or something- crazy shit I've heard" Ethan says

"That does sound like crazy shit.. acquire magic? fuck yeah!" Miro says chuckling

The exit door is already open and they walk out onto the nearly empty road with some people around, and a couple cars driving around.

"And at the end of this journey, you can like enter different like realities or universes, or go back to your body, and throughout it only a couple hours passed, but for you it feels like it's been an eternity, and then boom end of story pretty much" Ethan finishes his sentence

"Fuck.. thats insane, trippy as hell it sounds like" Miro says as they continue to walk and enter a more busy street with more people walking around on the sidewalk, while they walk on the road.
