Nasod Archives

"Curse you and your long legs!" Oleander called out to Raven as she followed him into the cavern, the others doing the same. However, Adagio and Aria were too big for the cave; this forced them to revert to pony form. Adagio kept the same color scheme, but her mane was big and poofy with yellow streaks. Her cutie mark was a gem with a G-clef on it. Aria had her mane in a pigtails style, and her cutie mark was a two-toned purple star with a forte symbol.

The giant white metal door got Everypony's attention as they stepped inside. Blue circuit lines ran all across the entrance. The metal was flawless and didn't have a single scratch on it. As Oleander got closer to it, her fur started to stand on end, and as she touched it, she could feel the hum of power through her hoof. "Amazing." It felt like she was touching the El again, but instead of the feeling of calm, she felt unease and the call for more power. Then she and every other pony heard a metallic voice that startled them.

ACCESS DENIED

"Oh, right. Raven." The unicorn turned her head, and the Human was in front of two skeletons. Oleander looked back at the others nervously. "Stay here and let me handle this." She slowly made her way over to Raven until she stood next to him.

"Lu, Ciel." That was only the thing that came out of his mouth. Oleander looked over the corpses, and indeed these were demons. From what Raven had told them in his Story, some demons looked like Humans with horns and pointy ears. And the unicorn was able to confirm this because of the energy the bones were emitting; it was similar to when she summoned Fred.

"So this what my predecessors looked like?" Fred said within the Unicornomicon.

Oleander would scold the demon later, but her Human friend needed help right now. She looked up and saw that Raven had a blank expression. "We can't leave them here," Raven said quietly; luckily for the Unicorn, her ears picked up on this.

"We'll come back for them, I promise." Oleander placed a hoof on Raven's leg to comfort him.

"I never got to apologize to them, and they're gone now." Raven wasn't sure if demons were immortal or not, but some part of him wished that they were still alive out there somewhere. It wasn't meant to be so, they were dead, and there was no changing it.

"Then keep moving forward; I'm sure that's what they would have wanted," Raven said nothing and kept staring at them. Oleander sighed as he did this, she needed to give him a little push. "Raven, I know you have ulterior motives for coming here; you want to find a way of bringing back Humanity."

Raven never told them of his plans, but the Unicorn was right. He said nothing and gave the unicorn a sideways glance. "Honestly, you could have said so, but loose lips sink ships. I won't tell anyp-" Oleander corrected herself.
"Anyone, now let's go; Humanity has been nearly wiped out three times; it would be rather pathetic if it ended with you standing here doing nothing."

"Hah. You're right." he gave Oleander a small smile.

"It's nothing new." Raven ruffles her mane and walks past her.

"Be careful; you might get a big head if you keep that up." Raven joked.

"Too late; you can see it from space!" Fred laughed at his own joke but was silenced after Oleander slammed the back of the Unicornomicon onto the ground.

"Quiet you." She fixes her mane and grumbles angrily.

Raven looks back at Lu and Ciel one last time. "Just wait a little longer; I'll be back, I promise."

Raven stood in front of the entrance; everyone else waited in anticipation. "Here goes nothing." Raven put the El Crystal in his other hand and placed his claw on the entry. Once he did, the metallic voice came back online.

ACCESS GRANTED

The massive door slid upward, allowing everyone to enter. To their surprise, the entrance led to an elevator. "What a nasty oversight. This would make a perfect ambush point." Raven said in disappointment; he hoped the library had multiple entrances. "Let's go." He was the first one to get on, followed by everypony else.

Nearing Weight Limit, please bring a lighter load next time.

Thankfully they managed to fit everyone onto the elevator. Still, some ponies looked up and stared at Raven. " one-fifth of my body is made of metal," Probably less now after the mutation, but he didn't like being called fat, even if it was implied. "Now stop staring; it's rude." He said with a slight blush. These Ponies always found a new way to annoy him.

Raven looked at the elevator panel and found only seven buttons. Out of the seven, three were glowing green; the others were grayed out. He wouldn't question it for now, but he was sure there was a reason for this. Raven pressed the first button and watched as the door closed.

They all stood in silence as they made their way down to the first floor. Moondancer broke the silence. "Mr.Maxwell, do you know anything about this Library?"

"The records I've found say this place was built by the Nasods, Debrians, and Elrians. It was supposed to be a final bastion for humanity if the worse came to pass, but relations became strained with the Elrians, and the El's power began to wane. So it was converted into a research facility, and they were looking for an alternative to El." Raven placed the El Crystal under his arm and took out his smartphone. After a few seconds of searching, he found the file. "Ah, yes. They both succeeded and failed."

"They succeeded in finding an alternate way of powering Nasods, but the result proved disastrous. They discovered Henir, and this was the first instance of his existence to be confirmed. The energy Henir's dimension gave off proved stronger than the El, but it corrupted everything it touched, so the Debrians found a way to filter the energy. And for a time, it worked. The Debrians made something far more potent than El, but Henir found out. "

Raven just stood there and said nothing else. "Dude! Come on, finish the story! You can't just Prince blueballs a mare like that!"

"What the fuck?!" Raven had to agree; he was disgusted by that phrasing. "There isn't much to say. Henir took offense to his 'gifts' being misused like that. So in an ironic twist, he fused the researchers with the Nasods and created the first skin splitter."

"W-whats a skin splitter." Moondancer was the only one brave enough to ask such a question. Raven stared down the mare with his one yellow eye and said nothing. The mare shrank under his harsh gaze. " Never mind!"

Raven shook his head and let out a small sigh. "I'll say this: pray for a quick death if you ever meet one. Reports say they're especially cruel to small creatures, and these things are three times my size." A wave of fear washed over everypony. "After the skin splitter was taken care of, the facility was converted into an archive facility and is still powered by the very project that started it all." Raven scrolled through the rest of the file and found that the rest of it tried to describe the god of darkness, but it's been all blacked out. "Everything else has been redacted, and there's nothing else to say." The less he talked about Henir, the better.

The Elevator stopped, and there was a ding sound. "We're here." The door slowly opened.

The first floor of the Nasod archives was massive, both in length and width. The room was at least a mile long, and the ceiling was half that length; it required flight to touch it. The room was illuminated by blue lights from the ceiling and ground. Bird shaped and Scout type-R nasods roamed throughout the room, performing various duties. There were metal tables with chairs everywhere, it's a place of learning after all. The place even had mini portable terminals on these tables.

But the most striking thing about this place was the countless bookshelves, which were massive. And these bookshelves were tall enough to reach near the ceiling. These book shelves were made from metal and stone, with unknown symbols. The book themselves were metal rectangles with a holographic screen; they held more information than any ordinary book.

Everyone looked around and was amazed by the sight; even the former captain was impressed. But no one was more excited than Moondancer. She was galloping around with drool coming out of her mouth. "OH, SWEET CELESTIA! LOOK AT THESE BOOKS." The unicorn galloped to one of the shelves and pulled out a random book, and was shocked to find it didn't have many pages. Using a hoof, she started scrolling through the book. "OH.MY.GOSH!! THIS CONTAINS FAR MORE INFORMATION THAN A NORMAL BOOK!"

"NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!" Vinyl yelled out. The DJ was also impressed, but they were just books.

In Moondancer's excitement, she threw her head back and started doing something that one Pony shouldn't do in public or around other Ponies. She started neighing, and it wasn't like the small whinny sounds they would make at times. This was a full-blown: "NNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY NNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAY NNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAYYYY!"

Oleander went red in the face while some tried covering their ears. "Moondancer, compose yourself this instant! Only hippies with no shame make sounds like that!" The dark magic user used her magic and pulled the mare away by her tail, but this made the problem worse. Fred was laughing from inside his book.

While all this was happening, Raven was confused until Amber tapped his leg. He looked down at the smiling pony. "A mommy and daddy pony make that sound when they're happy and playing." She explained with some pride in her voice. "I know this kind of stuff because I'm a big filly."

Raven put two and two together and felt instantly tired. "I want to go to bed." Maybe if he looked around, he could have a nice comfy table to sleep on? "Oleander, keep dragging her along; we can look at the books later. I want to confirm something." She nodded and started dragging along the neighing pony. "Goddess, give me strength." He said as they made their way through the library.

As the group made their way towards the library's middle, they came across a corpse. It was an armor-clad Human; it lay on its back, with its weapon near it. Raven instantly recognized the body; he may not have known this individual personally, but he has heard of him. Raven placed the El Crystal to the side, ran up to the body, and knelt beside it. " Do you know this person, Raven?" Xuez asked.

Raven nodded and placed a hand on the armor. "The white wolf of Hamel, Prince Seiker, son of the white Colossus Helputt and the next guardian of Hamel." Prince Seiker wore formal clothing underneath all the white and blue armor. His chest plate had a blue, glowing sphere in the middle, most likely his guardian stone. Raven touched the rest of the armor; it was made from an unknown metal; till this day, no one outside the Sieker family knew what it was made of.

"As some of you know, I hold no love for nobles or royalty because I believe few deserve such a title." Raven looked at Prince Seiker's weapon; it was a massive cannon that could fire from both ends. They were also known as destroyers. The one, the prince, used was flatter and had a rectangular shape. "But I believed the Seiker family were worthy of such a title. They were willing to lay down their lives for the city of Hamel and her people." Raven looked down and saw a massive hole in the armor where the prince's stomach would be. "Even during the end days, Prince Sieker went down fighting."

Raven picked up the deceased prince and placed him leaning on one of the bookshelves. Then he took the weapon and put it next to the prince. "Thank you for all your hard work, sir. I may not have known you, but it would have been an honor to fight by your side." Raven did something he vowed never to do again, bow before a noble. But he would make this exception. "Rest easy now." Raven saluted Hamel's final Guardian.

"Pathetic"

Raven picked up the El and everything else he put to the side. "Let's keep going." He didn't see it, but some of the Ponies had watery eyes, while others sniffled. What the Human said moved them. Some gave the guardian a bow as they passed, while others gave a small prayer. Even Adagio showed her respect. While she hated the heroic types, she could respect strength, and if someone went down fighting, they were strong in her book.

As Raven thought, the floor kept its main terminal in the middle of the floor. It was nothing special, a giant computer attached to the floor, with a desk and chair. But there was something on the chair that disturbed him; it was another skeleton.

This corpse wore a white and purple double-breasted suit; over it was a white coat." This white coat had two things attached to it, and if Raven's memory was correct, those were 'dynamo factories.' The cause of death was apparent; twelve diamond-shaped dynamos were sticking out of the skeleton's chest.

"Hello, Add... It's been a while." He didn't know what else to say. What could he say? He should have helped him and led the boy down a different path. Instead, he used Add for his petty revenge, which may have pushed him to work with Eve.

While Raven struggled with himself, Cozy Glow took to the air and flew closer to Add's corpse. "What are these weird things?" She pointed a hoof at the dynamos sticking out of Add's chest. "Are these weapons?" How could such small things be used as weapons?

A female voice answered the question before Raven could tell Cozy to get away from the dead body. This startled everyone and caused some of them to look up. "They're called dynamos, and yes, they are weapons. Ah, so you've finally arrived, Venom Taker."

A female Nasod attached to metal tubes came down from the ceiling and looked down at the Human and group of the Ponies. The Nasod's skin was entirely made of white metal, or what seems made of metal. Her face was perfectly white and with no mouth, but the Nasod could still show her emotions with her glowing blue eyes. The outer part of her hair was a dark navy, while the inward part was neon green. The only thing she wore was a blue captain's hat made from metal. She wore nothing else, leaving her C cup breast hanging out. Thankfully she wasn't designed with reproductive organs or any other embarrassing parts.

The Nasod hung limply from her tubes. "It only took you over ten thousand years to reach me."

"It's been that long?!" Raven thought in a panic.

The female Nasod looked over at the Ponies and held complete disdain for them. "You even brought animals with you, wonderful." Her words oozed with sarcasm. " I am Code: Maya, former Commander of Atlas. Welcome to Memento. Humanities and Nasods final resting place."

[Rest in peace]
