Somewhere far into the multiverse(Fallout: Equestria!)

Equestrian Wasteland

"War, War never changes," Raven spoke with a far too gravelly voice. He stood upon a hill, surveying the irradiated Equestrian landscape. "I was too late, far too late." It wasn't the first time he told this to himself, and it wouldn't be the last.

History took a different course when the last Human was put into the endless dream. For whatever reason, Antithese never broke free from her mental prison. Once Raven found her and found out what she did, the man did the merciful thing and gave her a quick and painless death. It wasn't the only change; Memento's power room was never damaged, allowing Raven to explore the lower floors. It was paradise!

Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said about the smoldering crater that was DreamValley. It was, for the best, a place lost to time, and he was the only one who knew of it. Still, waking up and leaving the Nasod facility only to be met with a post-apocalyptic wasteland was terrifying. Fortunately, Super Armor and the Valasia in his body kept him safe from the balefire radiation and taint. Mostly, eating the wrong type of food still made him sick.

Surviving the wasteland was easy enough; deflecting bullets, and plasmablasts was child's play. This made killing raiders easy, as they lacked formal training and were easy to punt if they got too close. It was the same with the manticores, dogs, cockatrices, and ghouls. The same couldn't be said with the Hellhounds and the Alicorns. "Hmph!" Fighting Hellhounds were annoying; their claws tore through his armor and super armor-like paper. Thankfully they were easy enough to kill with Valasia.

Alicorns, on the other hand, were always a pain to kill. It was because of that accursed fake goddess and their regeneration. Each time he encountered an Alicorn, the fight became a little harder as they got used to his moves. If he could, he would march over to Maripony and end her miserable existence, but he couldn't. For all his strength, he was but one man, and fighting off an army's worth of Alicorns was suicide. It was comforting to know that the steel rangers could take them on.

That brought up another abysmal thought, the Steel Rangers and that slaver Redeye. The rangers cared only for persevering and protecting technology, even to the detriment of the ponies around them. What was there to say about Redeye? A slaver, an egomaniac, and charismatic. If either group got a whiff of what was truly in Memento, they would stop at nothing to get it. Because, at the end of the day, it's about power. Not just here but everywhere in the wasteland, everyone or everypony is looking for a way to consolidate power.

"Foolish, all of these Ponies!" He spat. It infuriated him how fractured these ponies were. Grand Pegasus Enclave, Steel Rangers, Dashites, The Unity, Talons(He somewhat respected), Society, Zebra Remnant, Zodiac Clan, Raiders, Red eye's army, Changelings, and more. Raven clenched his claw in anger. "All these factions, and for what? All they do is fight one another. The only faction... No, the only symbol they should care about is the one I carry on my back." Indeed, Raven wore a massive tattered brown cloak that covered much of his figure. Stitched to the back of it were two Alicorns chasing the Sun and the Moon, with stars surrounding them.

It symbolized the old world, a world where friendship and harmony reign supreme. A world where all creatures, no matter how big or small, got along with one another. "A world with a sun and moon." Raven looked up at the endless dark skies where the sun couldn't shine through. "Enclave bastards." He spat.

Raven took a quick breath, trying to calm himself. "Equestria still sleeps. I can reawaken it." Or that's what Watcher told him. Raven remembered the first time he met the enigmatic creature through a sprite bot. Watcher told him about the nearest place he could take shelter since a settlement wouldn't take too kindly with a creature from legend. Soon the enigmatic creature gave the last Human a brief history lesson. It was unsettling and disappointing.

Then Watcher told him about the magical land of Equestria. The words left him enamored and wanting more. After finding Meneoto, fixing Maya, and fixing the Human restoration project, Raven headed back into the wasteland. For three long years, he went around helping the ponies and various other creatures in hopes of reawakening Equestria. Did it make the wasteland a better place? Raven likes to believe so. During this time, he made a name for himself. The Hellhounds called him butcher; the steel rangers called him a relic; the goddess and her children called him death. The Zebras called him a follower of the stars. Redeye calls him a pest. The Talons call him a veteran. DJ-pon 3 and the rest of the wasteland call him Revenant; he, who carries the symbol of the old world.

No pony knew where he came from. He suddenly showed up three years ago and started helping ponies out. Few ever hear him talk, and fewer ever see his face. Some ponies speculate that Revenant is a mutated hellhound or minotaur. Dj-pon 3, on the other hoof, believes that Revenant is a Human, like in the legend of Megan the great! The Dj has given the Human multiple invites to have an interview, but he refuses every time. Not that he didn't want to, but Tenpony Tower wouldn't let him in. He wasn't a ghoul, but Raven doubted they would take kindly to a 7-foot creature that could easily kill a hellhound.

Before Raven could continue down memory lane, a Holographic screen popped up in front of his face. "Father, are you sure about this?" Came the dual-tone voice of a female. On the screen was the concerned face of his daughter. A girl no older than 15 years old. She had the same black hair as her father, a single yellow eye, and a slit as a pupil. That's where the similarities end. One-fourth of her face was covered in black bandages as a makeshift eye patch to cover where her right eye should be, or in this case, eyes. Her mouth looked normal until she opened it, revealing that the left side could open wider than normal. It would also reveal that she has fangs similar to a spider's and three purple tongues.

Minerva was her name, and she was a clone of Raven. In the eyes of the A.I. that created her through Raven's DNA sample, she was deemed a failure. To Raven, Minerva was something special, no matter how unsettling she looked at first. For the next two and half years, he raised her as best as he could. During that time, her growth was rapid, both mentally and physically. Besides her strange fixation on only eating meat, she was healthy, or as healthy as someone like her could be.

"You can always try your luck with that Unicorn near Hoofington. I believe her name was Blackjack?" Even through audio, Minerva's words washed over his brain.

Raven shook his head. "No, I'm not going anywhere near that hell hole. I caused enough trouble there." Hoofington was the epitome of what was wrong with the wasteland. After killing Dues and driving out the thunderhead enclave members after finding out what the fruit did, he had to leave. He enraged one too many factions in that city, and being hunted down by half and killing half the city wasn't worth his time. "It's best I stay away." Any would-be assassin isn't dumb enough to take the caps, and giving him a bounty is also pointless. Since anyone who came after him was never heard from again or seen again.

"Also, I wish to see what makes this vault dweller so special. It hasn't been a month, and she's already making headwaves through the wasteland." If his suspicions were correct, Watcher also had his eye on this one. Before he could continue speaking, something flew over the lone Human. Above him, high in the air, was a Sky Bandit. Pulling the massive thing was a brown pegasus wearing a black stetson. "A Dashite," Raven mumbled to himself. This had to be the group. "Sorry, I have to cut this call short. I'll talk to you later... Sweetheart." If it weren't for the cloak, Minerva would see her father blushing ear to ear.

Before the young girl could gush about her father acting like a schoolgirl, Raven ended the call. He saw where the Sky Bandit was flying towards. In a burst of speed, he made his way toward Manehattan.

Manehattan

Littlepip and her group were heading toward the four-star station until Littlepip decided to take a detour after receiving a message from Watcher about meeting somepony. And he also warned him that this person isn't the greatest when it comes to social interactions. " So, another Steelhooves?" Littlepip thought.

As the group walked through the ruined city, Steel hooves voiced his concerns. "Are you sure about this? Something feels off."

The diminutive pony chuckled nervously. "W-well, somepony might be in need. You remember the disturbance we heard?" Indeed, as they landed, they heard gunshots and screams coming near them. Steelhooves wanted to leave it alone since this is Manehattan after all.

But Velvet Remedy , Calamity, and Littlepip wanted to check it out. So here they were, walking toward danger. The strange thing was, as they got closer, the red markers that indicated enemies were nearby were disappearing from Littlepip's hud display. Stranger was how it got colder, to the point where they could see their breath.

Steelhooves got his rocket launchers ready. "Be on your guard; something isn't right here." Calamity got his battle saddle ready. Littlepip pulled out Little Macintosh with magic, and Velvet got her horn prepared with a sleeping spell. As they turned the corner, they saw something that would haunt them for the rest of their days.

Countless mutilated bodies of dead raiders lay across the street. All of them were slowly turning into dust, including the roads and buildings, at a slower rate. The cause of this was the black and white mist that hung in the air, waiting to turn its next victim into dust. And the source of all this death and destruction? No other than Revenant stood in the middle of all this, holding a blade with a gun barrel and trigger attached to it.
On the other hand was the Raider that he held by the neck. "M-monster!" Spat the raider, mustering all the venom and vitriol he could.

"Ironic," The creature said coldly before tossing up the raider. As the raider came back down, Revenant swung his blade and pulled the trigger. The blade created an explosion, turning the raider into charred meat and splatting it everywhere. The man sighed and reloaded his gunblade. "More raiders, it never ends." Once that was finished, he held out his claw and started sucking the Valasia back into his body, along with any leftover vitality.

Meanwhile, Littlepip, Calamity, and Velvet were left slack-jawed. Steelhooves narrowed his eyes, not like anypony could see. "Oh, horseapples, that's the Revenant." The description for the thing was easy enough to remember; Tall, wearing a cloak with the Equestrian flag on its back. It also carried something too big to be called a sword. And for whatever reason, he had a gun barrel attached to it. “Ah think we should go. This guy is bad news.”

Before anypony else could speak, the Revenant said. “ My apologies for the mess. But I must ask.” He turned his head to the side, showing an endless pit of nothingness. Where the creature’s face was supposed to be was darkness, where light didn’t escape. “Tell me, are you the one they call Stable Dweller?” The creature directed its question at the smallest pony.

Littlepip audibly gulped. "U-uh, yeah. I'm the Stable Dweller." The tiny unicorn really hoped that Watcher was right about this guy.

Nodding, the creature sheathed his gunblade and finished removing the remaining Valasia from the surrounding area. Revenant sauntered his way toward the group. Meanwhile, the ponies became tensed as he got closer. Revenant stopped a few feet away and looked down at Littlepip. The mare had a brown mane, and green eyes, wore a vault suit with the number 2, and wore a pipbuck. Then he looked at her companions. The Dashite looked ready to pull the trigger on his battle saddle. The unicorn with the black coat looked like she was prepared to jump out of her own skin. And the Steel Ranger had his rocket launchers aimed at the creature.

Revenant nods to himself and speaks. "You are the one I have been searching for." These words put the ponies in front of him on edge. Was this creature an assassin? "You are the voice of Equestria! I shall join you on your journey!" The creature gave the group a slight bow. "I am Raven Maxwell, but most call me the Revenant." Velvet, Calamity, and Littlepip started sputtering. Meanwhile, Steelhooves gave the creature a stink eye, seeing what his playing at.

"Also, I have brought supplies." Raven pulls a burlap sack from his coat and drops it in front of the group. Littlepip took a look inside and was gobsmacked. The sack contained 17 healing potions, 5 magical bandages, 9 Rad-aways, 3000 bottlecaps, and 7 bottles of purified water. The bag even had ammunition, bottles of potion ponies had never seen, and strange-looking orbs.

Littlepip looks up at the strange creature with a wide grin. "Welcome to the cr-"

"HOLD IT!" Velvet Remedy cuts off Littlepip, seeing where this is going. The beautiful Unicorn steps forward and stares down at the creature. "Why would we let someone with your reputation join us? We saw what you did to those raiders. You're dangerous!"

Raven looks down at the unicorn and then at the steel ranger. "You are aware that you're traveling with a Steel Ranger?"

"And what is that supposed to mean, relic?" Steelhooves spoke up for the first time since meeting Raven.

"Shouldn't you be somewhere else, trying to confiscate someone's toaster?" Raven deadpanned.

"Looking for a fight?" Steel got into a fighting stance.

"I'll bring you there, shitstain," Raven growled, ready to pull out his gunblade.

Seeing the situation falling apart, Littlepip got between the two and yelled! "STOP IT, THE BOTH OF YOU!" The two veterans stop but grumble angrily. With the crisis averted, the young unicorn brings her attention back to Raven. "So why do you want to join us since I don't see how I am the voice of Equestria?"

Raven gestured towards Littlepip's companions. "You have a pegasus and a Steel ranger traveling with you. Despite your differences, you stick together. If this isn't friendship, I don't know what is." Steelhooves had an eyebrow raised under his helmet. " Where ever you go, you bring hope with you."

"But don't you do the same?" Littlepip interjected. Even though her time in the wasteland has been short, the mare heard stories about the Revenant. The mysterious stranger would go out of his way to kill raiders and slavers and leave supplies for recused ponies. "What makes us so different."

"I am alone," Raven said gravely. " I do not bring the same hope as you do. The wastelanders, they fear me." This isn't a surprise; multiple eyewitnesses have seen Revenant use unworldly magic to decimate entire raider camps.

"Well, yeah, ya pretty much show up out of nowhere, kill something, bring supplies, and leave. Without saying a single word. You're not making a connection." Calamity added his two cents.

"I am... Not good with social interaction." Raven said stoically.

Littlepip smiled at Raven. "It sounds like you need some friends."

"Friends..." Maybe, he could have friends again, like with Elsword. "Yes, that would be nice."

"Well then, welcome to the gang!" Littlepip held her hoof to shake.

Raven squatted so he was at eye level with the unicorn. Raven pulled down his hood, revealing the face of a disheveled Human. His black hair was shoulder-length and messy. His eye patch was replaced with white bandages. He had three claw marks across his lips, courtesy of a hellhound. Finally, he had a full beard that looked like it could use a trim. "Thank you, Littepip. I am Raven Maxwell, the Human."

So they traveled, and soon they would bring Sunlight back to Equestria.

Five years later, Nasods would return to Equestria. And Ten years later, Humanity would make its return, with Raven leading them. Of course, that's a story for another day. Thanks for reading.
