During the battle, Cozy Glow, Tirek and Chyrsallis took a chance and struck who they thought was Twilight Sparkle. The real Applejack saves the changeling-copy though... at the cost of herself.

Then Applejack turns into a changeling, confusing everyone, including the Princesses-
"Where's the real Aj?"

This is a much happier take, wherein the 'Orpheus' actually trusted the 'Eurydice' enough not to look back because loyalty and honesty and mushy stuff.
