Ten years have passed since Twilight's rise to ruler of Equestria. Ponykind is either dead, undead, or awaiting 'conversion' into the ranks of Twilight's massive pony army. Twilight struggles to remain sane and competent as the ruler of Equestria. Only with the help of Fluttershy has she managed to survive for so long. As Twilight looks back on her life she realizes what wonderful friends she had and what could have been if she hadn't gained the knowledge she now possesses
