The Dawn

There was nothing.

Just an empty void.

Neither black nor white, just an empty vaccum, but then, there was an explosion.

"BOOM", the first sound, echoed throughout the newly formed world, and with that, emerged the seven elements that would go on and guide it.

Darkness,

as the void turned jet black, spreading, a rather dangerously enticing sense of serenity, that would allure and corrupt all, who're either too weak-willed or have suffered enough to render them emotionally vulnerable.

Light,

as the moon, the sun and the stars burst into existence, illuminating the bleak darkness, though, in a way that would leave all blind to the dangers around.

Harmony,

A force, unrelenting, enforcing the order of the magical universe, keeping it in check and maintaining the tranquility of the world, all the while, punishing those that sin, helping creatures develop high morals, though leading all to a life with limited understanding .

Chaos,

A force, opposing Harmony, creating disorder all around and turning life upside-down, though, when in the right hands/hooves/paws/claws, would introduce you to the stranger and mysterious aspects, it'll help you delve deeper and deeper into a world of pure unadulterated knowledge.

Life,

a gift that brings to existence and nurtures beings of all kinds, but at the same time a curse, for those who wish for the end of their miseries and seek the ultimate freedom, to seek out those they think have left them forever.

Death,

the ultimate freedom. It balances out Life, punishes the sinners almost as harshly as Harmony, and helped those who just want the pain to go away.

Time,

the last and most important of them all. It decides how things should go, it controls the flow and is the harshest and the most rigid of all the elements. It never stops or changes, at least never of its own free will.

Perhaps it's due to this, it was also the most dangerous, and in the future, when the world would become what we know it to be, only the most skilled magic-users would dare to even think about tampering with it.

But then............

Everything started quavering violently.

It was first the orbs of the pure white and the never ending pool of black, light and darkness rose into the air emitting sparks, followed soon after by the majestic orb, a gradient of all shades of blue, of Harmony and the beautifully messed up multi-coloured orb of Chaos.

The four element above started emitting uncanny sparks and one again, there was an explosion.

"BOOM", rang out once again, as just then, Light and Harmony collided, and so did Chaos and Darkness, as they formed, the two celestial beings, the governors of the world.

Irene,

the goddess of serenity.

Her coat was a soft lavender, fading into a light buttercream at the tips of her hooves and wings.

Her beautiful mane, ethereally flowing as thought, being blown by a non-existent wind, was a combination of a frosty white, light buttercream, coconut white and baby pink.

Her sandals, collar and tiara were each a combination of powder blue, sky blue and royal blue, with an ivory gem encrusted on each.

Her kind, wise eyes were a gradient of a crayola cerulean and light buttercream.

Mortimer,

the god of disruption.

His coat was a dark auburn, fading into black at the tips of his hooves and an angry orange at the tip of his horn, which unlike Irene's, was curved.

His mane was a combination of auburn, red and yellow, flowing continuously just like Irene, though while the latter's was delicately lifted up, giving her a look of other-worldliness, Mortimer's looked as though it was made of fire, adding onto his intimidating stature.

His cornea was pitch black, his pupils had the same colour scheme as his mane and his irises were cat-like slits, which despite holding wisdom and warmth, were exceedingly disconcerting, since the wisdom was laced with malice and pride and the warmth, just burned through you heart, soul and mind, reducing them to ashes.

The two alicorns glanced at each other, nodding with unspoken understanding, as they activated the magic of seven elements and went on to create the world we now reside in
