Chapter 3: Calm Before The Storm
Author's Note
Sorry for the long wait. Here is the 3rd chapter of MHA meets EqG.
Chapter 3: Calm Before The Storm
Meanwhile at the Los Angeles International Airport.
A private plane had just pulled up at the airport and was coming to a slow and steady stop. After that, two passengers stepped out of the plane. The first one was Mr. Aizawa and next to him was a sweet, innocent, adorable little girl with white skin, a tiny horn on the side of her forehead, sparkling ruby eyes and long, winter gray hair.
The little girl looked like she was tired and had just woken up from a short nap. She rubbed one of her eyes, yawning. "Mr. Aizawa, how far is it?" she asked, tired.
"Just a little longer, Eri. I promise you, you can rest once we catch our ride." Mr. Aizawa assured
Exiting the plane behind the two is a young man with messy, indigo-colored hair that flares out in large tufts around his head. His eyes were purple; and were half closed with dark eye bags underneath them. He also wore a UA uniform. This was Hitoshi Shinso.
The young general studies student; who is currently on his path to be transferred to UA’s hero course, observed his surroundings, with his tired and lax expression unfazed.
"Isn't this city a little too fancy to start my training as a hero, sir?" Hitoshi asked, looking out the window, seeing Los Angeles.
"Los Angeles is a fancy and rich city, but we've got a long way to go. Your training exercise is in another state where the other members of Class 1-A are currently staying." Aizawa replied.
“Does it involve my training with the binding cloth?” Shinso asked.
Aizawa looks towards the young man in silence before responding. “While you have grasped your ability to master the binding cloth at your own pace; however, it's still a long way. But not just that, you would also use this training exercise to better build your direct combat abilities.” the underground hero explained.
"I understand. I'll be sure to train hard in that category as well," Hitoshi nodded. “Though I must ask, Mr. Aizawa. Why is this young child coming along as well?” He asked.
Aizawa remained silent to the student’s question as he looked over to Eri as he recalled a discussion with Principal Nezu back at UA.
= Flashback =
Inside the Principal's Office, Principal Nezu and Aizawa were having a chat over some tea. "I know this is a little sudden, Mr. Aizawa, but I'd also like for you to fly Ms. Eri to America, as well as young Shinso for his hero training. I will be covering the expenses so you'll have no issues during your trip." Nezu said.
“While I’m not against having this be an opportunity for Shinso’s training. But when it comes to Eri, I can’t help but be concerned.” Aizawa spoke in a skeptical tone.
"Well, this decision was a really tough one to make for me and the teaching staff.” Nezu replied. “However, recent events as of lately had the UA board believe that its best to have Eri move off campus for just a few weeks until we’re sure that there isn’t any-”
“Does this have to do with the Dark Reapers?” Aizawa asked in suspicion.
Nezu was silent at first, but soon after, he nodded in reply. "While I'm not sure what their next plan is or what they're after, I'd like to take extra precautions to make sure Eri is safe from harm. Her safety is our #1 priority."
“And what does the Hero Public Safety Commission have to say about this?” Aizawa asked.
“I proposed the solution to them and they humbly agreed to the idea. Apparently, they had suspicion that the Dark Reapers were targeting Eri for her quirk and what it could do. While they don’t have the evidence for this theory, they believe it must be for the same reasons as done by another individual in the past. You may know whom I refer to.” Nezu explained.
"Overhaul," Mr. Aizawa guessed, glaring down at the floor. "If that's the case, how soon should I take Shinso and Eri to America?"
“Immediately.” Nezu responded. “And once you’ve accompanied them there. You must also immediately return here. If an attack from the Dark Reapers should happen, we'll need you with us in case their quirks become too powerful for us to handle. The Dark Reapers are strong individually, but as a group, they're close to unstoppable."
= End of Flashback =
Back to the present, Aizawa turns towards Shinso, who looks back at him, waiting for a reply.
“Principal Nezu, along with the rest of the UA staff believe Eri should get to learn more about the outside world first hand. And lucky for her, her friends are in this country, so they can show her around to see what else America has to offer. It's rare that a girl her age gets to go anywhere, let alone a foreign country," Mr. Aizawa explained.
"My friends? Including Mr. Deku?" Eri asked, her eyes sparkling with joy.
“Yes.” the underground pro hero replied to the little girl. Eri's smile grew wider as she gasped happily and giggled to herself. Even Aizawa couldn't stop himself from smiling a little. Though he keeps it hidden underneath his binding cloth, cause well, he doesn’t show it. "Alright, enough standing around, we have a ride to catch."
Mr. Aizawa guided Eri and Hitoshi towards the exit of the airport where their bus driver was waiting by the door with a sign that had Mr. Aizawa's name on it. The driver turned to the exhausted UA teacher and was a bit perplexed.
"A-Are you… Mr. Aizawa?" he asked.
"Yeah, I take it you're taking us to Canterlot, am I right?" Aizawa replied.
"Y-Yes, that's right. Follow me and we'll get there within a few hours." the driver instructed. Hitoshi and Eri followed Aizawa with the bus driver outside where this big bus was parked. Eri gasped at how big this vehicle was. She felt so tiny just staring at it from where she stood, not knowing if she could make it inside.
The door to the bus opened up and Mr. Aizawa helped pick up Eri and brought her inside the bus with him. Her adorable little legs dangled above the floor before she was put down.
"Take a seat anywhere you like." Mr. Aizawa said. Hitoshi sat on the left side near the front and Eri sat on the right near the front as well… right next to the droopy teacher.
"Very good. Now, if everybody is seated, we will be leaving shortly as soon as I've warmed up the engine. In the meantime, take this time to relax or have a quick nap if you'd like." said the generous bus driver.
Right away, Eri felt her eyes getting heavy since she still felt a little tired from the trip here. She leaned in next to Aizawa and snuggled herself into his side, lightly snoring away. Luckily for Eri, Mr. Aizawa remembered to pack her little blanket, so he took that out of his suitcase and wrapped it around Eri's little body, keeping her nice and warm. She sighed happily in her sleep, then moments later, the bus began to move.
Next stop: Canterlot.
Meanwhile, back at CHS, it was feeding time and most of the students had gathered there for some lunch. Class 1-A was intrigued to find out how different the food was compared to the ones Lunch Rush made for them back home. But one thing's certain, the food was just as tasty as it was back home.
Kaminari was taken back by how delicious the pizza was.
“So this is what pizza tastes like? I can get used to this!” Kaminari commented as he took another bite of his pizza.
"You guys should try this apple sauce, it tastes much more fresh and tasty," Tsuyu said.
"Hmm, not bad. How do they do it?" Shoto asked, eating a scoop of his applesauce.
"That there applesauce is actually made straight from mah family's farm. T'aint no place greater than Sweet Apple Acres!" Applejack said proudly.
"Oh, so your family not only grows apples, but they also harvest and sell them?" Momo asked.
"Eeyup. It's how we keep the roof over our heads and food in our bellies. We're real proud o' the way we handle our crops," Applejack replied.
"That's wonderful to hear." Ochako said.
"By the way, you guys are in the hero course, right?" Rainbow asked.
"Yeah, why do you ask?" Kirishima asked.
"Do you think you can tell us why you all chose to want to become heroes?" Rarity asked.
The hero students were a bit hesitant on answering that question, well except one.
“I’m gonna be the #1 hero! That's all you need to know!” Bakugo replied without care.
“Don’t mind him, he’s always like that.” Uraraka stated. “But if you girls wish to know. My reason to become a hero, originally, was for money.”
“MONEY?!” the rainbooms responded in disbelief.
“Yeah, that was our reaction too,” Midoriya commented, with Iida nodding in agreement.
“Well, I wanted to become a hero so I can help afford a better life for my parents. You see, my family owns a construction business that is having difficulty in business. So I hope that being a pro-hero would allow me to earn enough money to help my family and our business.” Uraraka explained. “But that has changed ever since the Shie Hassaikai raid; and with some inspiration from a good friend,” She silently gestured to Deku. “I now wish to become a hero that saves and protects people, no matter what.” She spoke with determination and confidence.
"That's beautiful, deary. We hope you excel as a hero," Rarity said.
"Yeah, you have our support," Twilight said. "So, Iida, what about you? What's your reason for becoming a hero?"
"I'm striving to restore the name Ingenium after my brother was critically injured and had to retire from hero work because of the Hero Killer, Stain. I still haven't gotten close to that goal yet, but when I do, I will make sure not to stray from that goal like I did when I sought out the hero killer out of revenge," Iida explained.
"Hero killer?! You fought against him? I thought the papers said that Endeavor beat him," Sunset brought up.
"Shhh, keep it down. No one's supposed to know about this. You see, Midoriya and Todoroki came to rescue me when Stain almost killed me. We managed to beat him, but we got a visit from the chief of police. He said we were unlicensed heroes at the time and therefore we were unauthorized to use our quirks to harm anyone, villain or not," Iida explained.
“Hey, none of you were surprised by this information?” Rainbow asked the rest of Class 1A minus Midoriya, Todoroki and Iida. “So how did you find out?” she asked.
“Ever since we got our provisional hero licenses, greenie here accidently spilled the truth on all of us while he was doing one of his mumbling moments.” Jiro commented.
“Come on, guys, I don’t mumble that much.” Midoriya claimed while blushing in embarrassment.
"Anyways, after the chief explained the gist of how the law works for heroes, he went to explain how grateful he was to help capture Stain. We chose to let Endeavor take the glory so we could avoid any backlash from the cops. Since then, we held off on using our quirks to fight villains until we got our provisional licenses." Iida said.
“Well that hasn’t stopped us from fighting villains in the past. There was the USJ, the quirk training camp, Camino, I-Island, the Shie Hassaikai raid, and Nabu Island.” Kirishima shared.
The Rainbooms stared at the hero course students with disbelief and bewilderment written on their facial expressions.
“Yeah, we tend to get attacked by villains a lot.” Kaminari claimed.
“Why do they do that?” Pinkie asked.
“I dunno know. They just wanna kill us.” Kaminari replied.
"Because All Might was weakening before he officially retired after beating All For One in a rematch once and for all." Deku explained.
“My word, we saw a battle on international news. That All For One character must be dreadful in person.” Rarity commented.
"After the damage he caused and the lives he put in danger, of course he's dreadful," Momo commented with a shiver, thinking of his nasty grin.
“The darkness that the villain embodied was as if he was an evil incarnate.” Tokoyami exclaimed.
"You can say that again," Mina agreed.
Dark Shadow emerged from Tokoyami and appeared in front of everyone. “Fumi thinks that he’s way beyond evil incarnate.” Dark Shadow spoke. “Oh, also Fumi thinks you Rainbooms are really good friends.” He complimented.
"Okay, Dark Shadow! No need to tell them everything that I'm thinking!" Tokoyami said through his teeth, elbowing Dark Shadow. He laughed a little before retracting inside of Tokoyami.
Everyone else laughed at this enjoyable moment that they witnessed, well except Bakugo.
“Hehehe, does that happen to you all the time, Tokoyami?” Fluttershy asked out of curiosity.
"From time to time, yes," Tokoyami replied, slightly blushing while he took a sip of his apple juice to play it cool.
“Yeah, Dark Shadow complimented me on my smarts once, which was very nice of him.” Midoriya said.
"And I can recall how Dark Shadow told me Tokoyami thought I was cute, ribbit," Tsuyu winked at the dark hero. Tokoyami hid his face through his hands.
And Dark Shadow emerged in front of the group once again. “And he still does~” Dark Shadow teased.
“CEASE THIS BEHAVIOR AT ONCE!!!” Tokoyami shouted, feeling more embarrassed than ever. The Rainbooms and most of Class 1-A had a good laugh from this. After a while, the laughing dies down and then…
"So, what about you, Deku? Why did you want to become a hero?" Pinkie asked.
"Well… it's kind of a long story, but… from the time I was a little boy, I would watch All Might rescue hundreds of lives, fighting off countless bad guys single-handedly and he'd always have a smile on his face. From that point on, I wanted to become a hero just like him. A hero who smiles, even when things look bad. A hero who isn't afraid to risk his life to save others for the sake of peace. I want to protect the innocent and become my own Symbol of Peace just like All Might did." Deku explained.
The Rainbooms were astonished and awed by Deku’s reasons to be a hero.
"I'm surprised. It's rare you find someone who's got the most noble intentions, especially when it comes to being a hero," Twilight said.
"Izuku, darling… I am truly moved by your ambition!" Rarity added.
"I shouldn't be surprised. With all the hard work you put into becoming what you are today, I have no doubt you'll be a fantastic hero." Sunset nodded in approval.
"Ya got a good head on yer shoulders, sugarcube. That's for sure," AJ said, tipping her stetson hat to Deku.
"It's definitely way better than Mr. Cranky Pants over here," Rainbow pointed to Bakugo.
"You wanna say that again?!" Bakugo asked, causing mini explosions in his hand.
"C-Calm down Kachan, I'm sure you'll be a good hero, too," Deku tried to calm down.
"I don't need you to defend me, Deku!" Bakugo dismissed.
"Well, I hope you do well as a hero, Izuku," Fluttershy said.
"And when you DO become the next Symbol of Peace, I'll throw you the BIGGEST party you've ever seen!" Pinkie added.
"Look at you, getting so much praise. You might as well be an All Might Jr," Jiro teased.
“You’re not far off, Jiro.” Todoroki replied.
“Todoroki! I told you it wasn’t like that!!!” Midoriya exclaimed.
“Wasn’t like… what?” Fluttershy asked.
“No matter how much he denies it, Midoriya is All Might’s secret love child.” Todoroki responded.
“I keep denying it because it's not true!” Midoriya rebutted.
"He practically hangs out with you for the most part when none of us are around.” Uraraka commented.
"Just a mere coincidence, that's all," Izuku tried to dismiss.
“And there was that other time where All Might invited you along with him to I-Island.” Yaoyorozu reminded Deku.
“Uhhhh… That was…” Deku tries to dismiss that one.
“And every time he’s around when we’re in training, he always pulls you to the side and the two of you would have a conversation about something.” Uraraka added.
“Sounds like you know a lot about what goes on with Midoriya, eh Uraraka.” Mina teased the gravity heroine.
“Oh like you and Kirishima are any different, right?” Uraraka responded back in retaliation.
"I-It's not what you think! Kirishima and I are just good friends! Oh, why do you have to embarrass me, no fair!" Mina hides her blushing face behind her hands. The two proceeded to glare daggers at each other.
Everyone can’t help but stare at the two, while chuckling a bit from seeing the two interact this way.
“Well, we never saw this back at UA.” Jiro commented.
“Nope. Ribbit.” Tsu replied.
Fluttershy giggled a little bit. "I still like it when you make those "ribbit" sounds. It's just so cute. It suits you, Tsu," she stated.
Tsuyu blushed in embarrassment as she made another “ribbit” sound. Tokoyami, while looking unfazed, blushed and thought about how cute the frog girl is. And to his dismay, Dark Shadow emerged from his body, trying to expose his thoughts yet again. Although Tokoyami refuses to have that happen and gives his dark companion a harsh knock on the head.
“OW!” Dark Shadow winched in pain before retracting himself back into Tokoyami’s body.
The little noise caused everyone to look towards their dark bird-headed classmate with confusion and curiosity.
“Uh, Tokoyami? Did something happen?” Midoriya asked.
“Nope.” Tokoyami responded with a calm and blank expression; without hesitation.
Later on, the school day had come to a close and everyone was coming out of the building about to go home. For the rainbooms, it was an average school day. But for the transferred Class 1-A students, the day was too normal for them. All Might had them informed that their hero training would start tomorrow since CHS was in the middle of installing or setting up their new hero training systems. So today… was kinda boring for them.
"Alright guys, not a bad start for your first time in America. Everyone head on back to your selected living quarters and we'll begin your training tomorrow." All Might instructed.
“Wait, what about you, All Might?” Midoriya asked.
“Well, I have some school paperwork that I need to sign off. Also, I’m having a meeting with Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna after hours.” All Might explained.
“Sensei! Does it have to do with our hero training tomorrow?” Iida asked while having his hand in the air.
“Yes, young Iida, it does. Now run along, children. And enjoy the rest of your evening.” All Might instructed before turning around and walking away from the Class 1-A students as he headed back towards the school building.
"Thank you, sir!" Iida called out, bowing.
"Well, guess we'll see you guys tomorrow," Kirishima said, leaving with Applejack.
“Well, catch you guys later!” Mina proclaimed before leaving with Pinkie Pie.
"I shall see you all tomorrow morning. Shall we head back, Twilight?" Iida asked his lavender-colored friend.
“Sure thing,” Twilight replied. And soon the two head for home.
“Bye guys. Ribbit.” Tsu waved goodbye.
“Bye.” Fluttershy waved goodbye to everyone as well before she and Asui walked away from the group.
"Hey Deku! You'd better not slack off on your training. You still owe me a rematch when you've finally can make that quirk all yours," Bakugo whispered before leaving on his own to the apartment complex with Todoroki, Kaminari and Tokoyami.
"Guess I'll see you all when I see you all. Hey, Rainbow Dash, what do you think your parents will cook for dinner tonight?" Jiro asked.
"I don't know, but I got a feeling you're gonna love it. As crazy and annoying as they are, my mom can still cook up a really mean dish," Rainbow stated, leaving with her music friend.
“So Rarity, do you wish to discuss our day with afternoon tea?” Yaoyorozu asked her fashionista roommate.
“Oh, that would be splendid, Yaoyorozu.” Rarity replied before she and Momo left the group and headed back to her place.
And all that is left of the group of friends is Midoriya, Uraraka, and Sunset.
"Well, shall we head off to my place? I'm getting kinda hungry myself." Sunset said. “Also Ray feels lonely when I’m not at home.”
“Who’s Ray? Is he a friend of yours?” Midoriya asked.
“Or boyfriend, perhaps?” Uraraka added.
Sunset chuckled from her idols’ guesses before she corrected them. “No no, Ray is my pet leopard gecko. My little Ray of sunshine.” she said.
"Aww, that's cute," Uraraka said, smiling brightly. "I'd love to meet the little guy."
"What was it like when you first got him?" Izuku asked.
“Have you guys ever seen romantic movies where two couples looked at each other and you know that is love at first sight…. Yeah it was like that.” Sunset replied.
"Gosh, that has got to be the most adorable way for her to put it," Izuku muttered to himself.
“Awww, that’s even cuter!” Uraraka commented happily, with her bright smile growing even wider.
"Heh, yeah. He's like my adorable little Ray of sunshine," Sunset almost wanted to burst from how cute her pet is.
"I don't know what's cuter, Sunset fangirling or the way she described her pet," Izuku said, which ultimately made Sunset blush a little.
“Yes.” Uraraka replied to Izuku’s question.
'Oh wow… he actually thinks I'm cute? Heheh, how nice,' Sunset thought. "A-Anyways, let's keep going."
Midoriya and Uraraka nodded in reply. But before they could walk any further, a couple of police cars came rushing down the road.
“What’s happening?” Midoriya asked.
“Another police chase? But seeing every last police car in the city in the chase is alarming.” Sunset replied.
“I’m sure the Pro-Heroes can handle this.” Uraraka stated.
“There are no Pro-Heroes in Canterlot.” Sunset responded.
The two hero students looked towards the bacon-haired girl in disbelief and shocked expressions on their faces.
“WHAT?!” They both shouted. “What do you mean by that?” Uraraka asked.
“Canterlot City’s population is mostly quirkless. Because of that, it’s never had a Pro-hero in years.” Sunset explained.
Izuku and Uraraka stood in silence before they looked at each other for reassurance before nodding in agreement.
Uraraka makes herself weightless using her quirk and holds onto Izuku. "All set. You know what to do, Deku!"
"Right!" Izuku nodded. He stood where he was and powered up his quirk. 'One For All, Full Cowling: 8%!' he shouted in his mind.
“Hey wait! What are you guys…!” SWOOSH! Before Sunset could finish her question, Deku took off at fast speeds, with Uraraka holding onto him. Leaving the bacon-haired girl all by herself. “... doing?” she finished.
After being left behind, and also seeing her roommates/idols run towards the direction where there might be trouble. So with that in mind, without hesitating for a second, Sunset immediately dashed after them, or at least, headed towards the direction where they were going.
= A few minutes later. =
The police had arrived on the scene where the villain was spotted. The cops each got out of their cars, aiming their guns at the suspect.
"This is the police! We have you surrounded! Put your hands in the air or use of lethal force WILL be authorized!" said the chief of police.
As instructed, the fiend turned around with his hands in the air. The individual looked to be a young man with dark brown eyes and matching dark brown hair, long and unkempt. He had on a long, thin, black coat over his red shirt and faded green pants. His creepy smile sent shivers to anyone who would dare look directly into his eyes.
“Sorry, old man. But lethal force… already is authorized.” The young villain replied before he brought his arms down to form a cross before swiftly swinging his arms outwards, which unleashed two powerful gusts of wind; heading straight towards the unprepared police force. The force of his attack sent a few of the cops and their patrol cars flying backwards. The fiendish young man had himself a laugh. "You morons don't have what it takes to stop me! What's to stop me from having more fun with this city?!"
Each of the cops got up, dusting themselves off before readying their weapons again.
"I dunno what the hell that was, but something ain't right about this kid," Cop 1 said.
"What the hell was that, anyways? It's like he just… blew us away with a wave of his hands." Cop 2 said, just as shocked.
“We have a quirk situation on our hands, boys! Hold your ground.” The Police Chief informs his men.
“Sir, do we have any protocols to handle this situation!?” Cop 3 asked.
“Unfortunately… No.” The Chief silently said to himself.
"Then how are we gonna stop this kid? We can't just give up!" Cop 4 said.
“We must evacuate the area of civilians to avoid casualties!” The Chief ordered.
Soon another gust of winds was sent barreling towards them, knocking all the police officers to the ground. Then the young villain displays his power by sending a powerful gust of wind towards a police car; and sliced it in half! After that display, he approaches the police chief, who was lying on the ground, trying to reach his gun.
“Sorry. Don’t want you to spoil the fun.” The young man stated before raising his hand towards the helpless Police chief, ready to end his life. “Now face death at the hands… of the Wind Master.” He spoke with a devilish grin.
But just before the villain could finish the job… “SMAAAAAAASH!!!!” Mind Master felt a massive blow to the side of his face before he was set barreling towards one of the buildings and crashing through the windows.
Just when the chief was ready to accept his fate, he watched in shock as this young man with messy green hair appeared out of nowhere and saved his life. His whole entire body emitted sparks of electricity, the likes of which he's never seen before.
The young man turned around and offered the chief his hand. "Are you alright, sir? You're not too injured, are you?" he asked. The young boy brings his hand forward towards the chief. The police chief takes the young man’s hand and is pulled up from the ground and onto his feet.
“Yes, I'm fine, young man. Thanks.” the police chief spoke. Soon he is met with the sound of one of his deputies calling to him.
“Sir! Sir!” the deputy called to him. The police chief turned around to face him. “You’re not gonna believe this.” The deputy said while pointing over towards where a young lady had arrived on the scene. The chief watches as she touches some of the patrol cars, causing them to float in mid-air while helping the downed officers stand back up.
"Is everyone okay now? Can any of you still walk?" Uraraka asked.
“Yeah.” Cop #1 spoke.
“Thanks.” Cop #2 added.
“Hey, we got wounded over here! His legs are messed up!” Cop #3 called to the other officers.
Soon the two officers, along with the young lady, rushed over to where a cop was kneeling next to another officer, whose legs looked to be crushed under one of the patrol police cars.
"Hang in there, I've got you," Uraraka said, putting her hands on the car. The patrol car floats in the air and then she puts her hand on the cop's shoulder, lifting him off the ground and his fellow officers carry his weightless body away from the scene and towards the sidewalk.
“I can’t feel my legs! I can’t feel my legs!” Cop #4 screamed in agonizing pain.
“Hey man, you’re gonna be fine. Be glad it wasn’t your head.” Cop #2 assured him.
Cop #1 was on the radio, calling for an ambulance as the other officers were tending to the injured officer. As for the young lady, she leaves them, knowing that they were safe, and approaches the police chief and the young man next to him.
"I appreciate what you two have done for my men, but there's no time to celebrate just yet. Have a look over there," the chief pointed to the self-proclaimed Wind Master as he came out from his little hole in the wall, now looking more pissed than amused.
"You're gonna PAY FOR THAT, YOU LITTLE TURD!!! I'll SLICE YOU TO RIBBONS!!!" the Wind Master shouts, ready to wave his arms again.
But before he could unleash his attack again, the green-haired young man, surprising to the chief and the officers, sped towards Wind Master at supersonic speed, and when he was extremely close to the villain, who was shocked by his speed, the young man reels his arm back for an uppercut before he cried out: “DETROIT SMASH!” Then the young man delivers his powerful attack to Wind Master, sending the villain flying 30 feet straight into the air.
"Aaaagggh!!! Damn YOU!!! TAKE THIS!!!" Wind Master then launched another attack from above, throwing powerful gusts of wind at the young hero. But Deku worked his way around by running and jumping between the building walls and then finally launched himself into the air just above Wind Master.
"This is it for you!... (OFA Full Cowling 8%)... ST. LOUIS SMASH!!!" Deku kicks the Wind Master down to the ground with such force, creating a crater into the street below. And as the smoke cleared, The Wind Master is seen knocked unconscious and clearly humiliated by the future Symbol of Peace.
Soon Deku was soon free falling towards the ground, but to his luck, Uraraka leaps towards him, using her quirk to float herself up to him, and then touches him to make him weighless. And slowly the two floated down to the ground.
And once they were a foot from the ground. “Release!” Uraraka said, deactivating her quirk and allowing both her and Midoriya to land on the ground.
“Thanks for the help, Uraraka.” Midoriya said to his best friend.
“Oh, it's no problem.” Uraraka replied, while hiding her blushing.
As the two were talking, they were unaware of the police chief approaching them. Until he called out to them.
"You two. I dunno how to thank you for what you just did for me, my men and the citizens. You have my gratitude as the Chief of Canterlot Police," the chief said.
The two young heroes were flustered by the praise and tried to act cool in their response. And they didn’t do a good job on that.
“O-Oh, it's nothing, really. Just wanted to help out, that’s all.” Midoriya responded.
“Yeah, surely anyone would do the same as us.” Uraraka claimed.
"Well, I understand what you mean, but… unfortunately for us, that's not possible," the chief shook his head left and right.
“Oh right, sorry.” Uraraka responded, feeling a bit stupid for that statement she made.
"Why do you say that, chief?" Deku asked.
"Well, young man. To put it simply, nobody in this city was fortunate enough to be born with a quirk of their own," the chief briefed.
“Oh, yeah. A friend of ours told us about that. Sorry to hear that.” Deku said, in his mind, he knew what it was like to be quirkless and having to be tormented by others because of it. However, he knew that the town was different because the majority of everyone in the city was quirkless; so they didn’t have to deal with the treatment that he went through. Though they did have to deal with being defenseless to quirk users and villains; to which they had no idea how to handle.
"Well, in any case, I hope you and the police get better soon. Maybe we'll help out again if you're ever in a tight spot," Deku offered.
“We might like that, young man. You two take care.” Police Chief said before he leaves the two and tends to his men.
After Uraraka and Midoriya were left to themselves, they were greeted by a familiar voice calling to them.
“MIDORIYA! URARAKA!” Sunset’s voice can be heard behind them. They turned around and they saw their bacon-haired roommate running towards them.
"Sunset! Hey!" Midoriya called out before running towards her. Uraraka soon followed.
And as soon as they meet up, the two young heroes can clearly see that Sunset was extremely exhausted from chasing after them. The poor girl was breathing and gasping for air.
"Do you… have any… idea… how long… it took me… to find you?!" Sunset said between breaths, panting heavily.
“Uh… sorry.” Uraraka spoke sheepishly.
“Yeah, sorry.” Izuku said, while also being sheepish himself.
"It's… it's alright. But… what happened here?" Sunset asked as she looked at the destruction in the area.
"We'll tell you once we get back to your place. In fact, why don't you and Uraraka hold onto me and I'll carry us back to your apartment easy-peasy," Midoriya offered.
“Alright, I’ll appreciate that very much… Cause I’m too tired to walk back to the apartment.” Sunset exclaimed.
"Alright then. Hold on tight," Midoriya then carries Sunset bridal style while Uraraka makes herself weightless while she holds onto his shoulders. 'One For All, Full Cowling… 8%!' he shouts in his mind before taking off at high speeds.
Midoriya quickly arrives at Sunset's apartment in just under a minute before deactivating One For All. Uraraka releases herself while Izuku puts down Sunset.
"So, how was the ride?" Izuku asked with his innocent smile.
“Well, at least I won’t have to push myself to complete exhaustion.” Sunset replied.
"I know that feeling all too well," Midoriya said as Sunset went to unlock the front door.
“Me too. Back at the Sports Festival, when I was in a combat match with Bakugo, I kept pushing my quirk’s limit and went all out on him that I pushed myself to exhaustion and lost the match.” Uraraka said.
"I heard about that match. That Bakugo is such a jerk." Sunset said disapprovingly.
"Kaachan has always been a hot head, but he works harder than anyone else in our class to become a hero," Izuku pointed out.
"While I understand he's your friend, I don't approve of his methods, or his mentality. He needs to mellow out some more before I can actually see him as hero material." Sunset said. "But, changing the subject, would you two mind telling me what happened back there?"
"Oh, okay. Well… we followed the police to a part of the city where we found this guy and saw that he was destroying everything. He had some sort of quirk that causes powerful gusts of wind to blow his enemies away. He almost killed the chief had I not stepped in." Izuku explained.
“And I used my quirk to help the wounded officers and get them to safety.” Uraraka added. “And soon that villian, who calls himself ‘Wind Master’, got up and tried to unleash a massive attack if Deku hadn’t gotten him far away where he won’t cause any more damage.” She explained.
“And where’s that?” Sunset asked.
“Oh, he used his super-strength quirk and punched him straight into the air.” Uraraka proclaimed.
Sunset's jaw dropped at what she was hearing. Her idol was actually fighting crime. "Really?! What happened after that?" she asked, getting more excited.
"Well, he was getting desperate and tried to attack me with some more of his wind attacks, but I had to maneuver by running along the buildings and jumping from wall to wall before I was high enough to jump over him and deliver a downwards kick, knocking him out in a crater. After that, Uraraka saved me using her quirk as I was falling and then landed safely on the ground." Izuku finished.
“WHOA! Sounds like that guy didn’t even stand a chance!” Sunset proclaimed, with her eyes sparkling from what she was hearing.
"Yeah. And on another positive note, there didn't seem to be any casualties. So, yeah… that's what happened back there," Izuku said.
"It feels amazing to use our provisional hero licenses," Uraraka said.
“Yeah, I'm also surprised we didn’t get any punishment after stepping in. I guess prohibited quirk usage laws don’t apply to Canterlot; most likely due to the town’s quirkless population.” Izuku commented.
“Yeah. Though what was someone like Wind Master doing here?” Uraraka asked before she took a guess. “Probably because a town filled with quirkless people was an easy target for him.” she said, not liking the thought of it.
"But if this city is completely quirkless, then how come he has one? You don't think he might've come from another city or state… or possibly even another country, even," Izuku said, trying to piece this together.
"It's possible he could be from out of town, but we're not sure where exactly. For now, you guys should just rest easy, you've already done a good job taking down that power-hungry windbag. The least you can do is relax and have a bite to eat," Sunset suggested.
"Heh, now that you mention it, I am kinda hungry. What should we have for dinner?" Uraraka asked, rubbing her belly.
"I was thinking we'd have some hamburgers for dinner with a side of garlic fries. What do you guys think?" Sunset asked.
"Mmm, sounds good." Izuku said, his eyes sparkling.
“I never tried that before! Let's do it!” Uraraka proclaimed, with her eyes sparkling as well.
"Okay, some juicy burgers and crispy garlic fries are coming up!" Sunset proclaimed before going into the kitchen to prepare their dinner.
= Over at Twilight’s residence =
Twilight was over in the living room, going over some of the stuff she learned in school today and was even giving Iida a hand as well. Mostly, she helped him on English Lit. But when it came to mathematics, Iida was a pro and even gave Twilight some tips and pointers on how to do each fraction. Needless to say, the two got along well like best friends.
“I must say, Twilight. Your intelligence is admirable and impressive. I’m confident you’ll receive a great scholarship and education in the future.” Iida complimented.
"Thanks, Iida. Truth be told, I'm actually hoping to get into Canterlot University. It's one of the best universities I've been dreaming of getting into. At first, I wanted to get into Everton, which was an independent study program. But after what happened at… the, uh… the Friendship Games, I had a change of heart thanks to my friends." Twilight said.
“Mmmm, I am curious about what you meant, but I shall not pry into your privacy.” Iida stated.
"That's very thoughtful, Iida. But I don’t mind sharing my experiences. You see, to make a long story short, I was blackmailed into participating in the Friendship Games just so our school could keep their perfect win streak. I practically knew everything there was back at Crystal Prep, but it wasn't so popular. If our school did win, I'd be guaranteed a spot at Everton. However, things didn't go as planned. Not only that, but I chose to transfer to CHS since everyone there is more welcoming and friendly."
"Hmm," Iida nodded in understanding. "So you transferred from this… Crystal Prep to CHS because they betrayed you by using your intellect to achieve victory at an event called the Friendship Games." He looks down, disappointed. "I cannot condone what those hooligans have done to you. It wasn't right for them to take advantage of you like that. But I am glad you found friends in a better place."
"Thanks, Iida. And for the record, a few of the girls at my old school, they're slowly turning over a new leaf. And also my sister-in-law is now the Principal of Crystal Prep; so hopefully things are changing there too.”
"Your sister-in-law? What's she like?" Iida asked.
"She's very kind and humble. She's the polar opposite of my old principal. And another fun fact you should know, she used to be my babysitter when I was little. To this day, we get along so well like actual sisters," Twilight said.
“That sounds like she’s a good-hearted person. My brother is also like that; compared to me, my brother was more even-tempered and informal. And he was always joyful when I admired his hero work.” Iida shared his relationship with his brother.
"It sounds like we have a lot more in common than our academic achievements." Twilight chuckles a bit.
"Hey, what's this sight that I'm seeing?" a male voice said. The school rep and the adorkable nerd looked down at the carpet and saw a cute little purple and green dog.
“Huh? I could have sworn I heard someone talking?” Iida spoke in confusion. “Although, I didn’t know you own a dog, Twilight?”
"Yeah, I forgot to tell you that. This is Spike, my dog. He didn't always speak. He only made the usual dog sounds, like rapid panting, barking and growls and stuff like that. But after an… accident that happened some time ago, he's now got his own voice. Though, I try to make sure he keeps it on the down low." Twilight explains.
Iida stares at Twilight with confusion as to what she was talking about. His eyes turn to Spike, then back to Twilight, then Spike, then Twilight and back and forth.
“Uh… Twilight… I do not understand what you are saying? Cause it sounds ridiculous.” He responds.
And after Iida said that… Spike replied.
“Oh, she’s just explaining how I can talk.” The dog spoke casually.
Iida let out a yelp and readied a chop or two. "H-H-How… How is this even possible?! Last I checked, normal dogs do NOT have the ability to talk so efficiently!" he ranted, making his chopping motions.
Spike and Twilight stare at Iida with calm expressions as the Class Rep. from UA was literally questioning life right now.
“Huh? You had the same reaction Shining had.” Spike commented.
"Please… Please… Please tell me this is just a dream! If so, I need to wake up… right now!" Iida said, his mouth trembling and his forehead dripping with sweat.
“Hey, that’s what Shining said too.” Spike replied.
“Spike! Stop giving our guest a heart attack!” Twilight instructed the talking dog in the room.
"Oh, alright. Still, this guy sure is funny. He's definitely a LOT more funny than that buffoon you tend to hang out with sometimes," Spike said before jumping on his owner's lap.
"Buffoon?" Iida asked, slightly recovered from the shock.
“SPIKE!” Twilight sternly responded to Spike; who said something that she wants to keep private… for eternity.
"I'm not sure what he's talking about, but I won't pry for the sake of your privacy. Has your pet always been this mouthy ever since he could talk?" Iida asked.
“Sometimes, yes. In fact, It took me weeks to get used to having my dog talk like a person.” Twilight spoke.
"I wouldn't doubt that. I'd probably have to take longer to adjust to a talking pet. Well… except for a parrot, since it's common for them to learn how to speak," Iida said.
"Of course, no one's scared of a parrot talking, but a talking dog'll drive the big wigs crazy enough to kidnap me," Spike said, moving off Twilight and slumping onto the couch.
"Oh, Spike," Twilight giggled, scratching him behind the ears. Her little pooch then rolled onto his back and showed off his belly. She rubs his belly and he kicks his little puppy-feet rapidly.
Iida was rather awed by the scene between owner and pet.
“Mhmm, once you see past the ‘talking dog’ part; the little fella is, well, adorable.” Iida commented.
“Well of course he is. He’s my little pup.” Twilight replied. “Do you wanna pet him?” She asked the Class 1-A Rep..
"Hmm. I suppose… one little pet couldn't hurt," Iida then slowly reached over and rubbed Spike's green underbelly slowly, then sped up in a ticklish manner, making him kick his feet once again. Spike's tongue lolled out while he smiled and panted rapidly.
"Hehehhe… he's a real keeper," Spike giggled as he was being tickled.
Meanwhile, over at Sunset's house, everyone was all dressed up and ready for bed, but Izuku was sitting on the couch, lifting weights to keep himself in shape.
"So, aside from the hero work, what else happened in your lives?" Sunset asked.
"Let's see… OH, there was the UA Sports Festival. We had 3 different main events. One of them was an obstacle race, then the cavalry battle and lastly, the UA tournament. Izuku took first place in the race, despite not using his quirk," Ochako explained.
"This was back when I wasn't in full control of my quirk. I couldn't risk using it at full strength and break one of my limbs, so I had to improvise," Izuku said.
“Wow! You went through an entire race against many students with powerful quirks… with no powers at all?! That’s an amazing feat!” Sunset complimented, while trying to control her inner fangirl.
"Yeah. Unfortunately, winning the race made Izuku a primary target in the cavalry battle. Because he finished 1st, his headband was worth 10 million points." Ochako said.
"Aaaand, I lost my 10 million points. But, thanks to my friends, Ochako, Tokoyami and Mei Hatsume, we scored just enough points to make it into 4th place. This allowed us to qualify for the final event." Izuku said.
"Wow… even most of your friends turned against you? That's just cold. I thought at least 6 or more of them would at least side with you. Just like… like. . ." Sunset then paused as she had some minor flashbacks to the traumatizing incidents that happened to her.
Seeing Sunset being awfully quiet and her facial expression showing small signs of discomfort, made Midoriya and Uraraka feeling concerned and rather confused of what she was thinking right now to make her like this.
“Uh, Sunset? Are you feeling alright?” Midoriya asked out of concern
“Is something wrong?” Uraraka asked as well, also feeling concern for their roommate.
Sunset sat quietly with her thoughts for a moment before Midoriya and Uraraka speaking to her, brought her out from her inner thoughts. And with that, she stared at the two hero students in front of her for a while before she got up from the couch.
“You know, I’m feeling very tired. Time to turn in. Goodnight, guys.” She claimed before she immediately walked away from the living room area and straight towards her bed. Uraraka and Midoriya were surprised by this reaction and tried to ask her more questions if she was ok.
“Wait, but you haven’t ans-”
“I SAID GOODNIGHT!” Sunset shouted aggressively in response to Midoriya, without turning around or stopping, as she made it to her bed and immediately got under the covers.
And soon, the bacon-haired girl fell fast asleep; or at least, Midoriya and Uraraka believed that she was pretending to fall asleep.
'Gee, I wonder what's gotten her so upset.' Izuku thought. He then shook his head. 'No, it's probably none of my business. If she doesn't wanna say anything, I'll have to not bring it up with her ever again.’
“Something’s definitely bothering her,” Uraraka silently spoke to him. “Do you think so too, Deku?” she asked.
“It seems so,” Midoriya replied. “But, perhaps we shouldn’t ask her about tomorrow. She's probably gone through her own personal troubles and it might be too painful for her to tell us and relive it.’ he claimed.
“Yeah, you might be right.” Uraraka said in response. “We should probably get some rest for the night.” She stated as she laid herself down on the couch. “Goodnight, Deku.” And soon, she fell asleep.
"Goodnight, Uraraka," Izuku replied before slowly drifting off to sleep on the couch.
Meanwhile, a couple of miles away, the bus carrying Mr. Aizawa, little Eri and Shinso were fast approaching the city of Canterlot and both the new hero course student and the precious little snowball were sound asleep.
The underground pro-hero, on the other hand, remained awake for the whole trip; only taking brief 2-minute naps within each hour of the bus ride.
While he could have slept through the entire trip if he wanted to, he didn’t want to let his guard down; especially in new territory. But it was mostly because of the thought of Eri theoretically being a target of a group of deadly vigilantes. The child had suffered enough torment since she was under the captivity of Overhaul, and her painful struggles in controlling her quirk.
With no other living relatives to look after her, Aizawa and everyone else will do whatever they can to ensure she grows up in a safer environment. At the same time, he hopes that one day, Eri will one day be able to control her quirk and use it at her own will.
Hopefully, she can be well-hidden safe in this country; though that didn’t stop the bickering thoughts of the Dark Reapers soon discovering about this. But he pushed those thoughts away in the back of his mind. Hoping that it won’t come to that.
'No time to be stressed prematurely. Gotta keep a level head for her sake,' Aizawa thought to himself, looking down at Eri, all snuggled up in her blanket.
As the UA homeroom teacher watches over the sleeping child, the bus soon arrives in Canterlot City. With the city lights shining through the bus windows. Aizawa then clears his throat.
"Shinso, Eri, wake up. We're almost there," Aizawa whispered.
Waking up with a snore, Shinso blinked a few times and groaned from how tired he was. "Wha…Where are we?" he asked.
Eri woke up and let out a cute yawn and stretched her arms out. "Mr. Aizawa? What's going on, is it morning yet?" she asks, wiping the sleep from her precious, ruby red eyes.
"No, it's still the middle of the night, but we've nearly arrived at our destination." Aizawa said/
“So, this is Canterlot City.” Shinso commented as he looked through the bus window and out to the buildings and shops that were passing by. “Mmmm, well, this place ain’t so bad.” he said before he turned towards Aizawa with a question. “So this is where we’ll be staying for a few weeks?”
Aizawa nodded in reply. “Yes. For the remaining few weeks, you’ll be training alongside my students at this city’s educational institution; Canterlot High; where you’ll use this as an opportunity to continue sharpening your skills with the binding cloth; as well as another opportunity to gain experience and knowledge of combat engagement.” he explained.
"Understood, sir. But where am I going to sleep while I'm here?" Shinso asked.
"There's an apartment complex in the city where a few of my students are staying. It should be comfortable enough for you to sleep at night. Just remember not to oversleep and train hard. Go beyond, Plus Ultra style," Aizawa instructed in his monotone attitude.
"Mr. Aizawa? Where will I sleep?" Eri asked.
"Tonight, you'll be watched over by All Might at the same apartment complex. Then, after that, I'll see if you can stay with Midoriya. I know how much he means to you," Aizawa said.
"Deku's here, too?" Eri asked with her big, sparkling ruby eyes.
“Yes, he is. And he’s also unaware of your arrival.” Aizawa informed her.
“So… Does that mean this will be like a surprise?” Eri asked, while tilting her head and having a curious and cute facial expression.
"That's right." Aizawa confirmed.
Eri gasped and bounced happily in her chair. "Yay! Deku will be so happy to see me!" The precious little bean kept bouncing up and down in her seat, putting her hands against her soft little cheeks, smiling preciously.
"Alright, calm down, Eri. We're almost at our stop, so be ready," Aizawa said calmly. Eri stopped bouncing and just stared out the window, checking out the beautiful city of Canterlot. The lights from the streets reflected off her big, ruby eyes, making them sparkle even brighter. So many bright lights made her think about the musical performance Deku and his friends did just so they would make her smile.
She can’t wait to see them all again soon.
Meanwhile back in the city of Musutafu, Japan.
Laying low in their warehouse compound, the deadly vigilante group, the Dark Reapers; are gearing up and preparing for their infiltration raid on UA High. And to obtain their prized target that resides within the walls of the hero academy.
“Make sure all the equipment is undamaged. I want no failures on this mission.” Rogue instructed.
"If you don't mind me asking, are you sure we can succeed with the child where this "Overhaul" failed to accomplish?" Huntress asked. "How do you know our plan'll work?"
“Because Overhaul was small-sighted; and he had ineffective tools to only produce the child’s essence into mere bullets. But I intend to use that same power with a much more effective means.” Rogue stated. “And I have the equipment in order to do that, but the only thing I require is the child and her power.”
"I'd say we should be careful of Eraser-Head, but let's be real. His power is useless against all 5 of us," Grim said.
"If we bump into him, I get first dibs to crack his skull open," Berserker said, cracking his knuckles in anticipation.
“Do not underestimate Eraser-Head!” Rogue responded strictly to his allies. “While his quirk is useless against us, do not forget that he’s an underground pro-hero for a reason; spending his time away from the press and keeping himself partially unknown to the public. Which means he’s full of many surprises. And let's also not forget that he’s the child’s guardian. Which means he’ll fight to the death to protect her; which makes Eraser-Head the most difficult obstacle that stands between us and our goal.” The leader of the Dark Reapers claimed.
"And he's not the only hero we need to watch out for," Deathslinger added. "We should be cautious of all the heroes working there, especially Present Mic. He could alert us for backup if we don't watch ourselves.”
“And not to mention, that bitch, Midnight. Her quirk will render us unconscious before we’ll even get the chance to reach the child.” the Huntress exclaimed.
"Not to mention she's probably way more attractive than you, Huntress," Berserker provoked with a laugh.
"I will blow your freaking head off right now if you don't shut the hell up, you big palooka," Huntress threatened in a low tone.
Rogue had his hand on the face of his mask, irritated and annoyed by the child-like behavior of his colleagues. ‘God damn morons.’ He thought to himself.
"What's the big deal here? Midnight's just a woman with a smelly quirk and a repulsive fetish," Grim shrugged.
"I never did trust any women as far as I could throw them. They're all the same to me," Deathslinger added.
Rogue was becoming more agitated of his team being off-task; and in a fit of rage, he activated the magnetic unit in his gauntlets, lifting his comrades off of their feet and then slammed each of them against the walls of the room.
"I am not about to have my plans backfire because of your meaningless, irrelevant squabbling. So drop the subject now and focus!" Rogue ordered sternly. "Do I make myself clear?"
Each of the four Dark Reapers struggled against the magnetic field that continued to push them against the wall, after a few minutes of struggle; all four submitted and nodded in response to Rogue’s orders.
Seeing their cooperation, Rogue then deactivates the magnetic field, and all four of his colleagues fall to the floor.
"Good. Now pick yourselves up and finish the prep work. We leave soon," Rogue ordered.
Meanwhile, back in Canterlot City.
After the bus had finally arrived in Canterlot, Aizawa was about to get off the bus with Eri and Shinso.
"Okay, listen up. We're gonna stop by one of the students' houses here in the city. Afterwards, I'll show you to the apartment complex you'll be staying in. Be sure to get plenty of rest tonight and train hard during your stay here. Understand?" Aizawa said to Shinso.
"Yes, Mr. Aizawa," Shinso nodded.
"Good. Now, follow me and stay close," Aizawa said. He carried Eri on his back during the entire walk while Shinso followed behind, making sure Eri didn't fall off.
Eri looked all around her and was in awe of all the bright city lights.
"Ooooh, the city's so pretty." Eri said.
"You may as well get comfy here, Eri. You'll be staying here for a while. But luckily, you'll have Midoriya and All Might to look after you." Aizawa said.
"Hmmmm, Mr. Deku," Eri sighed, nuzzling into the back of Aizawa's head.
Aizawa, though he’s known for his, well, laid-back, but harshly strict personality; he cannot deny that Eri’s cute and innocent nature, brought a smile on his face… even though it was hidden behind his scarf. Deep down, his heart beats lively knowing she's found a happier place among the entire Hero Academia.
Perhaps if things go well, then the newest generations of heroes will help keep crime at bay… along with a new Symbol of Peace. But for now, it's still far too soon to be letting in sprouting youngsters into the big leagues.
After walking for a while, the three made it to their first destination.
Meanwhile, inside Sunset’s apartment, Midoriya, Uraraka, and Sunset were silently enjoying their slumber, sleeping soundly into the night when suddenly, all of them are awoken by a strange knock on the door.
"Ugh… who’s knocking at this time of night?" Sunset groaned, sitting up from her bed.
Soon Midoriya and Uraraka sat up from the couches they were sleeping on, wondering who was knocking at the door.
"I'll go check it out," Midoriya groaned, getting up from the couch. He yawned while stretching his body as he stumbled towards the door. He looked through the peephole and saw a familiar droopy-looking middle-aged man with long black hair and a long scarf.
Midoriya was both shocked, anxious, and surprised to see his homeroom teacher, Aizawa, at the front door. In America, no less! Questions rushed into his mind; what was the UA teacher doing here, all the way from Japan?
Well, only one way to find out. So, with a nervous gulp, he opened the door. "G-Good evening to you, M-Mr. Aizawa. W-W-What brings you here in America?" Midoriya asked politely, stuttering.
"Relax, kid. I'm not here to supervise you or anything. I just came to drop off some people. Perhaps this friendly face'll ring a bell," Aizawa said before stepping to the side. Midoriya's eyes then lock onto little Eri, who's smiling back before she runs up to Midoriya and hugs his legs.
"Mr. Deku!" Eri exclaimed happily.
"Eri! It's so good to see you again," Midoriya said, picking her up in his arms.
"I apologize for waking you up so late at night, but I need you to watch over Eri for a while and keep her safe for the remainder of the trip. Can I trust you with that… Problem Child?" Aizawa asked, looking him square in the eye.
“Uh, s-sure, Mr. Aizawa, sir.” Midoriya replied, with an anxious tone.
"Good. And Eri, be sure to get plenty of rest tonight. Remember to brush your teeth, keep yourself clean and eat all your vegetables, okay?" Aizawa asked.
Eri nodded, smiling. "I will. Bye, Mr. Aizawa." she waved.
“Goodbye, Eri.” Aizawa replied to the little girl before turning his attention onto Midoriya one last time. “Goodnight, Problem Child.” He said before he turned around and walked away.
After Aizawa leaves, Izuku brings Eri into the apartment before closing the front door behind them. The two then walk into the living room of the apartment, where they are met with Sunset.
"Hey, Midoriya, who was at the doo--" Sunset paused when she noticed a cute little girl with long, silver hair and red eyes. "Awwww, she's so adorable. Who is she?" she asked.
“Hey, what are you guys…” Uraraka paused in her words after she had stood up from the couch and her eyes immediately spotted Eri standing next to Deku. “ERI!” The gravity heroine shouted with joy as she rushed over to the young girl and knelt down next to her. “It's wonderful to see you again, Eri.” She greeted the young girl.
"Hi there," Eri said, smiling brightly. "I'm staying with you all."
“Really?! That sounds wonderful.” Uraraka proclaimed.
“Yeah, Mr. Aizawa stopped by and dropped her off with us.” Midoriya stated.
Uraraka was then confused about this and looked up from Eri to Deku. “Why is that?” She asked.
“He didn’t say. All he asked was that we look after her for our remaining three weeks here in Canterlot.” Midoriya responded.
"Well, I don't mind her staying here. I'd fix up a bed for her, but from the looks of things, I'd say she'd be more comfortable catching some sleep with you two," Sunset said.
"Good point. Come on, Eri. You can sleep on the couch with us," Midoriya said.
"Okay, Mr. Deku," Eri said.
And so, Deku carried the little snow angel with him over to the couch where they got all nice and comfy under the blankets. Uraraka, Midoriya and Eri made themselves snug. Slowly, but surely, drifting off into sleep. Eri snuggled up to Midoriya, resting her cute little head on his shoulder.
With Eri dropped off safe and sound, Aizawa and Shinso make their way to another part of the town where Shinso will be staying. Shinso and Aizawa both neglected to admire the beauty of the city as Shinso was too tired to admire anything. And Aizawa was more focused on dropping Shinso off with the others so that he can return to UA High in Japan.
"That little girl really has some attachment towards Midoriya, doesn't she?" Shinso asked.
"Yes, well he did risk his life to save her. She's had a difficult childhood before we came along, so we try to do our best to make sure she stays happy and safe," Aizawa replied.
"I'll bet." Shinso said before yawning.
In a mere 10 minutes, the two arrive at the apartment complex where All Might is waiting by the entrance outside. "Well, here we are. And remember to train hard while you're here and make sure to keep out of trouble. Can I count on you for that?" Aizawa asked.
"Yes sir," Shinso bowed. "And thank you for escorting me here."
All Might approached Shinso and Aizawa. "Thanks for bringing him here, Aizawa. We'll take it from here. And sorry you had to go through all the trouble."
"As long as our students set an example, I can handle the workload. See ya later," Aizawa replied before heading off to the transit center.
With the droopy teacher gone, the skeletal Toshinori then escorted Shinso inside the complex. "Well, let's get you settled in for the night. I think we've got a spare room for you on the 3rd floor all for yourself." All Might said.
Shinso simply shrugged, like he didn't care. All he really cared about was getting some sleep. All Might chuckled and shrugged it aside as they entered the building, the door closing behind them quietly.
Meanwhile, back in the city of Musutafu, Japan.
After hours of preparation and planning, the Dark Reapers proceed to head towards UA high. On their way, they silently moved along the alleyways and other dark places in the city; to avoid detection and running into any patrolling pro-heroes.
After an hour of moving across the city undetected, the Dark Reapers soon arrived at the famous hero school in the country. The vigilante group then hunkered down in a forest that was near the school; avoiding and hiding from the patrolling teachers and heroes that were in the area.
As the vigilante group waits in silence, Rogue looks out from the clearing of the trees, and towards the main building of UA high.
And while his mask conceals his face; not allowing any emotion shown. But you can bet deep in his mind, he was full of a dark sense of eagerness; full of determination to accomplish his goals, by any means necessary.
“This day has finally arrived. Soon my plan will come to fruition. And all of quirk society will cripple… and die.” He claimed silently to himself.
With the Dark Reapers closing in on the proud school for young heroes, it's only a matter of time before all hell breaks loose. Can the faculty hold them off? Will there be any casualties? And what will happen when they discover their primary target has been relocated? Find out next time on “My Hero Academia Meets Equestria Girls!”

Chapter 1: UA's First Student Transfer Program
= Izuku Midoriya’s POV / Narration =
“The world we live in is filled with people who have developed their very own unique superpowers we officially call a "quirk”; in fact, over 80% of the world’s population possess this uncanny ability.
It started out as a mystery, but before long, the supernatural became normal over time. And because of this, our wildest dreams of heroes became an everyday reality; even gave rise to the world’s #1 Pro-Hero… All Might.
When he came, crime all around the world had been reduced dramatically. His heroic deeds earned him the title: “The Symbol of Peace”.
And all my life, All Might has been my inspiration to become a hero; to save those in need with a smile on my face.
But eventually, I almost gave up that dream after learning at a very young age that I was quirkless. And it was soon after, that everyone around me told me that my dreams were impossible. Even my idol, All Might, at one point told me that heroes couldn't be heroes without a quirk when I discovered his true form after he saved me from a sludge villain. But then… that same sludge monster returned and almost captured Kacchan, or Katsuki Bakugou, my lifelong friend and rival.
Though I was quirkless, I tried to save him from that monster, my body moving before I could even think. And I was unaware of my actions to inspire All Might to push past his limit. And it was my actions that made All Might change his mind; saying the words to me that I desperately needed to hear all my life." Izuku narrates.
“Young man… you, too, can become a hero.” All Might’s voice stated.
"On that day, I felt like my hopes and dreams were brought back from the abyss of despair. I had later found out that my idol… had a secret about his quirk. And that is… he wasn't born with it, but it was passed down onto him like a sacred torch. And he deemed me, of all people, worthy of inheriting his quirk. The name of this special quirk…" Izuku's narration pauses.
“... is ONE FOR ALL!” All Might’s voice stated.
"This quirk grants the user unimaginable strength and becomes stronger the more it is passed down. Of course, I couldn't just obtain it like that. I had to train my body to handle the effects of One For All. And from that point on, my idol, my hero… became my mentor. I trained for 10 months; every single day for hours upon hours. Cleaning away an entire beach of the trash that washed ashore until there was nothing left.
And soon my training and hard work would pay off as I passed my entrance exam and was accepted into Japan’s prestigious institution for future heroes, UA High, the Hero Academia. The written exam was a breeze for me, but… I was lacking on combat points in the combat exam. And when they unleashed the Zero pointer robot, almost everyone ran away, except for me and one other applicant by the name of Ochaco Uraraka. Just like before, I rushed in without thinking and took down the robot with a single punch. But because I barely obtained One For All, my arm and legs became useless from such a high jump and one punch. I would have been dead if it wasn’t for my soon-to-be best friend, Uraraka, using her quirk to slow my fall.
After the exams were over, I got my letter in the mail and just as I expected, I passed the written test, but scored 0 points in the combat training. However… I was told that there were other factors that were taken into account. Specifically when I rushed in to save Uraraka. As it turned out they had hero points as well. And I scored 60 in total, which earned me a spot in my Hero Academia, as All Might put it.
And from then on, my time in UA has made my life brighter as I earned new friendships with all of my classmates, but it also drives me to work harder than I ever did before if I want to reach my goal.
My name is Izuku Midoriya. And this is a story of how my classmates and I enrolled into UA High to become the next generation of heroes. And the story of how I became the greatest hero of all time.”
MY HERO ACADEMIA
MEETS
EQUESTRIA GIRLS
Another day has come by, so comes yet another hard day of learning at UA High. The students of UA had gotten ready and were currently seated in their desks in room 1-A.
“ALL RIGHT EVERYONE!! INTO YOUR SEATS! CLASS IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!!!” Tenya Iida informed the entire class. Unaware that he was standing and everyone else was in their seats.
“Uh, dude.” Eijiro Kirishima responded. “We’re already sitting down.”
“Yeah, you’re the only one that’s standing.” Denki Kaminari added.
Iida lowered his head in embarrassment and shame as he sat down at his seat, grumbling silently to himself. “Not again!” And yes, this was the 2nd time this happened.
"So, what kind of lesson do you think Mr. Aizawa will be teaching us next?" Eijiro asked, laying against his seat.
"Who knows. It's hard to understand that guy and what he's thinking," Denki said.
"Whatever it is, I just hope it's not as equally torturous as the punishments." Ashido whimpered.
"At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if it was something unexpected," Tsuyu said. "Ribbit."
"I believe our assignments are always unexpected, at least whenever it comes to Mr. Aizawa." Tokoyami stated.
"I don't care what he throws our way, it's just another stepping stone for me," Bakugou said, laid back.
"If it's anything like the provisional licensing exam, you'll probably fail again," Kyouka said, pushing his buttons.
"WHAT'D YOU SAY?! SAY IT AGAIN AND I'LL KILL YOU!!!" Bakugou exploded.
"Hehehe, so embarrassing that you're left behind in the dust," Mineta gloated.
"SHUT UP YOU LITTLE MAGGOT!!!" Bakugou exploded some more.
“BAKUGO! CALM YOURSELF!” Iida strictly responded to his explosive classmate.
“SHUT UP, FOUR EYES!” Bakugo violently responded.
Todoroki sighed to himself. “Well, this has been an interesting morning.” He spoke quietly to himself.
Midoryia, on the other hand, wasn’t focused on the chaos that ensued in the classroom. But rather he was curious about what would happen in class today as he silently thought to himself.
“What is sensei Aizawa gonna have us do today? Most likely it would be another writing exam or possibly a training exercise? Either way… We all haven’t been informed about today; so what we would be doing is a mystery. Then again…” And as usual, Midoryia was lost in his thoughts and he muttered to himself as he usually does all the time.
Suddenly, the door opens up and in comes the "energetic" and "ever-so-fun" Mr. Aizawa, to which the entire classroom shuts up and remains in their seats.
"Alright, let's get this over with. Everyone shut up and listen closely," Mr. Aizawa stated, unamused. "The following students I call, you will head back to the dormitories until further instructions. Yuuga Aoyama, Minoru Mineta, Kouji Kouda, Rikidou Satou, Mashirao Ojiro, Mezou Shouji, Hanta Sero, and finally Toru Hagakure. You are all dismissed.”
The entire class was shocked by this new information. And soon it brought questions upon everyone’s minds as to why was Aizawa-sensei dismissing less than half the class for the day? But as they were all about to barrage him with questions, Aizawa activates his quirk, glaring at the class with irritation and impatience.
“I said… you are dismissed.” He instructed the class; mostly to the students that he called upon to leave class.
Not wanting to piss him off further, the selected students went back to the dorms while the remaining 12 stayed in class; with them being: Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Ochako Uraraka, Tenya Iida, Shoto Todoroki, Eijiro Kirishima, Kyoka Jiro, Denki Kaminari, Momo Yaoyorozu, Mina Ashido, Tsuyu Asui, and Fumikage Tokoyami. All were equally confused.
And the first one to ask about this strange change, was none other than the Class Rep, Iida.
“Sensei! I must ask. Why is less than half of our class being dismissed during the beginning of school hours?” He asked with his hand raised in the air.
"The answer is simple. You see, the school has decided to start a new program that would benefit your training to become heroes; especially in a different environment.” Aizawa explained.
“Different environment?” All 12 students of Class 1A responded with curiosity and confusion.
“So therefore, all 12 of you have been chosen to take part in UA’s first Student Transfer Program for about 3 weeks.” Aizawa informed them. “And tomorrow, you all will be transferred to another school… over in the United States.”
“WE’RE BEING SENT TO AMERICA?!?!?” All 12 students responded in shock and enthusiasm.
"Alright!!! I hear there's loads of crime there, I can't wait to bust some bad guys!" Kirishima said excitedly.
“WOO HOO! We’re heading to the United States!” Mina Ashido proclaimed.
"Sounds like the perfect hunting ground… FOR ME!!!" Bakugou shouted.
"Holy cow! I've never been to the states before, I wonder which state we'll be heading off to," Midoriya said to himself. “Then again. It's also the place where All Might did his student exchange back in his days; just like he told me. Knowing I'm gonna be heading to the place where his origin began is exciting to experience!” he thought to himself.
"Quiet!" Mr. Aizawa ordered. The class stood in their seats, silencing their excitement instantaneously. "Don't go thinking of this as a vacation. Remember that this is a school program and a part of your training in becoming heroes. Which means you shall be accompanied by a school official to keep you all focused and in line. And most of you are probably aware that crime in America is at an all time high, so watch your backs,” Mr. Aizawa instructed sternly.
And Aizawa wasn’t wrong. The percentage of crime in the US was higher and different than the small percentage in Japan; however, that was back when All Might was the #1 Pro-Hero. But with word of the Symbol of Peace retirement, crime rose about 3% in Japan; although, the US suffered the worst of it. The students all knew that where they were going, was gonna be a much dangerous place. However, they weren’t too cautious about it since the League of Villains haven’t had any operations in the United States. So the threats in the US were more likely low-life thugs and bandits.
“Uh excuse me, sensei?” Uraraka raised her hand with a question that is likely on most of everyone’s minds. “But which of the teachers is gonna be watching us?”
Before Aizawa could answer, he is interrupted when, unexpected to the students, All Might barges into the room in his buff form.
“I AM HERE!!! THIS TIME COMING FROM THE FRONT DOOR!” He spoke loudly, making his presence well known.
“ALL MIGHT!?!?” All 12 students were surprised by the former #1 hero’s arrival.
And of course, All Might would soon revert back to his skeletal-looking state, coughing up a bit of blood, likely from the stress of going into his buff form.
"What did I tell you about using your muscle form? Did you forget you don't have your quirk anymore?" Aizawa asked.
“Sorry, Aizawa. You know I’m one to make an entrance.” All Might replied, while wiping away the blood on his lips before he turned towards the remaining 12 students of Class 1A. “Sorry about that.”
"Anyways, All Might will be the one supervising you while you're training in America, so try not to make yourselves or UA look stupid. Do I make myself clear?" Aizawa asked.
"Yes sir!" The class said simultaneously.
"Good. Use this time to pack up your belongings along with your costumes. Your flight to America departs at 2PM today." Mr. Aizawa stated.
The students were all wide-eyed and shocked.
“But you said our flight was tomorrow!?” Kaminari asked, while freaking out.
“Well I lied. Now I suggest you get moving.” Aizawa replied with an unamused face.
After a brief moment of silence, all of the 12 remaining students immediately got up from their seats and rushed towards the classroom door. Nearly almost shoving and tripping over each other as they were moving; well Bakugo did intentionally shove Kaminari to the floor while even saying; “OUT OF THE WAY, DUNCE FACE!”
And after the chaos, the students all left the classroom. Leaving Aizawa and All Might alone in the room. With the latter turning towards his fellow teacher with a straight face.
“Did you have to lie to them about their flight time?” He asked Aizawa.
"It's not the first time I've lied. Besides, the sooner they leave for America, the better. Crime doesn't wait for anyone, no matter their age or how long they've been doing this heroing business."
“That I can agree with you.” All Might replied. But of course, there was a feeling in his bones that he can’t seem to shake off. “Listen, I know I asked you before. But are you certain that I can be able to watch over them for a while in America? Why can’t you do it yourself?” he asked.
“While it is my responsibility as homeroom teacher of this class to watch over them. However, I can’t watch over both halves of the class at the same time. And you pretty much have a handle on how to guide the students more properly. Besides, the ones not going… they've been slacking off in some departments and I gotta get them back on top with the others. I trust you'll do fine while you're away?" Aizawa asked.
All Might gave a smile in reply while holding a thumb up. “I’ll do my best.”
= In Class 1A Heights Alliance Dormitory =
After being given big news and being told about the time their flight was gonna be at, the 12 chosen students of Class 1A rushed back to their class dormitory to pack their things for the big trip.
And when they arrived, they met back up with their other classmates who had been dismissed from class earlier. They asked why Aizawa caused the class to be divided today and was there anything they needed to know about. And that is when they told them about the student transfer program that UA had started setting up and that they were chosen to be a part of the program… while also telling them that they’ll be heading over to the United States as part of the program.
Their classmates were shocked and surprised about this information; some more than others.
“WHAT THE HELL, KAMINARI!!! WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME YOU WERE GOING TO THE US?! ESPECIALLY WITH THE REST OF THE GIRLS GOING!!!” Mineta whined as he was gripping and tugging onto the collar of Denki’s school uniform.
“HEY MAN! DON’T BLAME ME! I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW ABOUT IT UNTIL TODAY!!!” Kaminari protested.
As Kaminari was getting scolded by his best bro, Hagakure catches up with the rest of the girls.
“Aw, it's not fair that you guys are going to America while I'm stuck here.” Toru exclaimed, even though no one can see her sadden expression, but her voice really states how upset she is.
“Aw, don’t worry, Hagakure. I’m sure it’ll be fine,” Momo tries to assure her invisible classmate.
"If it makes you feel better, we'll even pick up some souvenirs for you while we're out and about." Ochako offered, hugging her invisible friend.
"And if you're lucky, someone might record us on the news and you can look us up online when you get free time, ribbit," Tsuyu added.
“And we can take photos of all of America’s landmarks and places for ya.” Mina proclaimed.
If it can be seen by everyone, Toru was smiling happily at her friends’ offers, so much that she immediately pulled them all into a group hug. “AW! You guys are the best!” she said happily.
"No problem, Toru. Group hug before we hitch a ride?" Ochako offered. The other girls didn't even hesitate and wrapped each other in a big group hug. It lasted about 15 seconds before the girls let go.
"Have fun, girls. I'll be waiting for you," Toru said.
As the girls were talking for a bit, Bakugo, Kirisima, and Kaminari were approached by Sero, who was pumped about the news.
“Man, you guys are lucky. It's not everyday you get a one-time trip to America.” Sero commented.
“I know right, it's so manly!” Kirishima replied with a hyped tone.
"I'm looking forward to hearing what kind of jamming music they've got over there… along with some super cute girls there." Kaminari whispered the last part.
"Damn, you lucky bastard. Hey, you'll snap a photo of some potential American hotties over there, will ya?" Sero asked.
As the two were talking, Jiro’s earphone jacks moved over towards the two and then each earlobe individually jabbed themselves into both boy’s ears and caused the two ear pain from the sound vibrations amplified from them.
"Honestly, these guys are such perverts. They're practically turning into Mineta," Kyouka scoffed.
Meanwhile with Tenya, Izuku and Shouji, "Sorry you won't get to join us on the trip. It came as a shock to us," Izuku said.
"It's for the best. I doubt America is ready to see… well… this," Shouji refers to his multiple limbs.
Izuku gives a reassuring smile towards his classmate and a thumbs up as well. “Oh come on, I’m sure you’ll be great over in the states. Don’t let yourself down.” he replied.
"Midoriya, need I remind you that he wasn't one of the students selected to join us on the trip? I get what you mean." Tenya pointed out.
“Oh right. I forgot. Sorry about that.” Midoryia replied, rubbing the back of his neck, feeling embarrassed about it.
"In any case, I wish you all the best of luck in the states. I hear the crime rate over there is especially bad. Car theft, vandals, serial killers, kidnappings, home invasion, the list just goes on and on," Shouji pointed out.
"I know. I have a feeling it's one of the reasons why we're going. But it shouldn't be all bad. We do have All Might to help supervise us." Midoriya stated.
"Let's not forget, he's not as powerful as he was anymore," Todoroki stated, walking in on their conversation. "Without his powers, he's just one big target."
Hearing Todoroki’s words, placed a heavy influence on Midoriya’s mind as his eyes fell towards the floor, as he was drowning in his thoughts as his three classmates continued their conversation.
“While it’s still fresh on all our minds, Todoroki is also correct.” Izuku thought to himself. “With All Might left powerless, that means that the Symbol of Peace would no longer be our protection or anyone else's.” After Midoryia’s thoughts, the young hero geek soon began to mutter to himself quietly before it could soon be heard around by his classmates.“If that's the case, maybe they might've thought of an alternative solution, like maybe having a 2nd staff member on hand in case things ever get dicey. At least this way they can cover more ground by having All Might help with evacuation emergencies and the other staff members warding off whatever threat is present."
Before he even realized it… "SHUT UP, YOU DAMN NERD!!!" Bakugou yelled, causing Midoriya to yelp.
"Oh, uh… was I doing it again?" Midoriya asked nervously.
"Yes, though at this point, I'm not surprised since you seem awfully worried about our teacher, All Might," Tenya assured.
“Well that’s just Deku.” Ochako’s voice could be heard as the boys turned and saw their classmate approach them, before stopping in front of them; mostly Midoryia; and raised a thumb up to him and winked. “He’s always concerned for others more than he is of himself.” She commented.
"Which is why he's gonna make for a fantastic hero someday. Maybe even as the next All Might," Momo also cut in.
Hearing the praises caused Midoryia to feel extremely embarrassed and flustered. “Oh come on, I’m sure everyone will…” Before he could say more, Todoroki interrupts him.
“You know, you’re not really that far off, Yaoyorozu.” Shoto commeted, which had Izuku blabbing and feeling more embarrassed.
“Todoroki! I told you it wasn’t like that!” Midoriya responded.
“No matter what you say, everything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law.” Todoroki replied in a calm tone.
“Leave me alone! You don’t need to be salty because your dad sucks!” Izuku responded. Before he realized what he said. “Oh sorry! I didn’t mean to say that!” He apologized.
“Don’t be. It’s fine.” Shoto responded calmly, not really bothered that his father was insulted. If anything, he thinks Midoriya should’ve been less discreet about it.
"Hey, unless you want Mr. Aizawa to chew us out, we gotta pack up our stuff ASAP or we'll miss our flight." Tokoyami stated, heading up to his room.
Todoroki and Midoriya looked towards their classmates and nodded in reply, reminded of their big trip. And so the two, along with the other 10 chosen students of Class 1A headed up to their rooms and got to packing.
Half an hour later, the 12 selected students had finished packing their luggage. At the same time, a bus arrived at the school, fueled up and ready to go. For likely the final time, the students waved their fellow classmates goodbye before they got on the bus one by one.
All Might says his goodbyes to Aizawa and the other teachers, who arrived to bid the former #1 hero and the other half of Class 1-A farewell.
And as All Might got onto the bus, the transport vehicle closed its door as it then drove away from UA and off towards the airport.
Meanwhile, over in the United States, in a busy city, known as Canterlot, it was around noon and nearly everyone who was working was on their lunch break. Same for those who are taking a break from studying in school. Especially at Canterlot High, where the famous Rainbooms attend.
The members of this group being: Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy.
All had been good friends since freshman year, and all individually had unique personalities. With Fluttershy, being sweet, adorable and full of kindness. Rainbow Dash being prideful, but loyal to a fault. Applejack, being the most honest gal of the group. Pinkie Pie being the cheerful and positive party gal. Twilight Sparkle, being the well-spoken and highly intelligent girl of the group. Rarity, being the most fabulous, stylish fashionista and the most generous of the group. And finally, Sunset Shimmer, the leader of the group; a gal that had a rough start and rose to the mountain-top of redemption. It took the help of her best friends, along with Princess Twilight (Sci-Twi's pony double) to show her there was a better way to obtain true power. Which was the Magic of Friendship, as cheesy as it sounds.
And right now, the Rainbooms were stoked to hear some amazing news.
"Is it really true we're having exchange students from Japan?" Fluttershy asked.
"That's what we were told by Principal Celestia earlier. Ooh!!! I can't wait to meet some new friends!!!" Pinkie squealed.
“Well, I even heard rumors that they’re hero course students from, the one and only, UA high school!” Rarity gossiped.
"Whoa, whoa, wait?! You mean the big-time high school that prepares superheroes?" Rainbow asked, getting stoked.
Rarity nodded in reply. “The very school, darling.” She replied.
"Sounds like somethin' Rainbow would wanna go to… if she had the chance," Applejack chuckled.
"From what I heard, they have a low acceptance rate, but apparently, 20 first years had got accepted into their highly advanced curriculum. Guess their newest line of heroes looks promising," Twilight explained, looking through her laptop.
“Hey, you think Sunset’s idol is a part of that class.” Rainbow teased, which caused the bacon-haired girl to glare at her.
"Which one?" Fluttershy asked.
“Probably that green-haired fella that we saw on the television; da one with that Sports Festival event Japan had.” Applejack answered.
"Oh, you mean the one who calls himself Deku, right? He's a REAL hero, but his powers really hurt him." Pinkie said.
"His heart is always in the right place. I mean, he does fight to protect everyone. And remember that incident with that hideous Overhaul villain? That guy took a serious beating." Sunset mentioned.
“Oh, how can any of us forget that horrendous event? It was all over the global news.” Rarity commented.
"And that poor little girl. She must've been so traumatized by that horrible man. And she's just so precious," Fluttershy added.
“Well good thing that “Deku” guy gave that creep a pounding he’ll never forget! I mean he went “POW!” and “BAM!” Just kicking his butt easily.” Rainbow proclaimed.
"Ah ain't ashamed to admit it, but his strength just might outmatch mah own." Applejack admitted.
"That's a first. You're usually the strongest out of all of us, physically speaking," Twilight said in surprise.
"Agreed. Afterall, we don’t possess quirks like 80% of the world’s population does, darling.” Rarity spoke.
“Well, we got what they don’t have~! Equestrian magic.” Pinkie proclaimed while holding up her geode.
"You got that right, Pinkie." Rainbow agreed, leaning against her chair.
“Well, I think it would be nice to meet hero-course students. I hope they’re friendly.” Fluttershy said.
"All but one of them are friendly. Like that Bakugou character from the Sports Festival, ugh… such a brute and such horrible social skills. If he were half as nice as Deku, he'd probably have more fans," Rarity said, abhorred by his behavior.
"He's a big meanie," Pinkie admitted.
“‘Ah certainly hope he ain’t one of the hero course students that are coming here.” AJ said.
“Hey, Sunset. Think one of the UA students coming here is that Deku guy?” Rainbow Dash teased her bacon-haired friend once again.
“Rainbow Dash!” Sunset responded, feeling flustered.
“Oh come on, Sunset. Don’t tell me that you really don’t want to meet the guy and ask him questions?” Rainbow replied.
"I do, but you're constantly making it sound like I wanna date the guy!" Sunset defended, still blushing. Her cheeks puffing up all pouty.
“Come on, ladies. Ya’ll know that Sunset has only admiration for the fella, not any lovey-dovey nonsense.” Applejack stated.
“Oh. Does that mean you don’t have any “love” for me, Applejack?” Rarity asked the farmgirl, while bearing a disappointed and sad pouty face.
"Don't go assumin' that, Rares. Ya know yer mah caramel apple gal," Applejack said, pulling her precious gem into a hug.
Pinkie chuckled at the sight of their two friends being so loving with one another. Twilight and Sunset smiled for the two. Fluttershy let out a cute giggle while hiding behind her hair. Rainbow, on the other hand, gagged at the sight; not being much of a lovey-dovey person.
"Well, in any case, we'd better prepare ourselves for their arrival tomorrow. In the meantime, we'd better hurry up and finish our lunches before our next classes." Twilight said.
“Agreed.” All the other girls responded.
So they all got back to enjoying their lunch. And after they finished, they all got up and headed towards their classes before the bell rang.
13 hours later; Arriving at Los Angeles International Airport, California at 10:00 am; L.A. time.
The plane had finally touched ground and was coming to a complete stop. Once it was stationary, the terminal connected to the door, allowing the passengers to safely exit the plane. First to come out was All Might, yawning from the long trip.
"Alright, everyone. Single file line and remember to grab your luggage. These guys won't be held responsible if you lose your stuff.” All Might instructs his students as he looks on at the entire airport while taking in a deep breath while bearing a warm smile. “Ah. California. It's been years since I've been back here.” He thought to himself, reminiscing his golden years.
And as All Might was remembering the good ole’ days, Midoryia along with the rest of his classmates all emerged from the doors of the boarding gates, and once they did, they all were stoked that they had just arrived in the US.
"Wow! So this is America? It's so beautiful! Look at the bright sun and blue skies! And look how lively the city is!" Ashido said excitedly.
"If the city is this beautiful in the day, imagine how lovely it is during the night." Momo added, excitedly.
“Aw yeah! This is so manly!” Kirishima proclaimed.
“Class 1A in the US!” Kaminari added.
“Calm yourselves! As hero course students of UA high, we have a reputation to uphold! Remember what Aizawa instructed us before our departure!” Iida reminds his classmate, being the strict class rep that he is.
“The sleepy bastard’s not even here, four eyes. So shut up.” Bakugo responded to the class rep as he passed behind him.
"It doesn't matter if he's here or not, All Might has to report everything back to him, even while we're on this 3 week trip. You can risk it, but it won't be worth it, ribbit," Tsuyu clarified.
“SHUT IT! YOU DAMN EXTRA!” Bakugo replied aggressively.
As Bakugou goes feral as usual, Midoriya, along with Uraraka and Todoroki beside him, looks around the airport and while looking out at the window and looking out at the place that they have just arrived to.
“Wow. I can’t believe we’re in America.” Midoriya said to himself, with his mind filled with excitement.
"Gotta say, it's not too bad looking," Todoroki said.
"Try amazing! I could get used to living in a place like this. Oh! Or better yet, maybe this can be the perfect spot to send my parents for vacation, maybe even a place for them to retire!" Uraraka chimed.
“Wow, you must be more excited about this than I am, Uraraka.” Midoriya commented on his best friend’s enthusiasm.
"Of course. This is my first time being in America, it gives me a chance to see what this city has to offer. So many possibilities and places to see." Uraraka said.
“Well, young Uraraka, I’m afraid you’ll have to cancel sightseeing in the city.” All Might’s voice can be heard behind them as the three turned around and see the former #1 pro approaches them.
“What do you mean, All Might?” Midoriya asked his secret mentor.
“Well, young Midoriya, it's because the school that you and your classmates are being transferred to, is not in this state.” All Might stated.
“Not in this state?” Todoroki responded in confusion.
“So we landed in the wrong state?” Uraraka asked.
“Not exactly. The flight from Japan to here in California was the only international flight the US had on the west coast; also its the only flight that UA could book; especially with the rise of criminal activity in this country. The school you’re being transferred to is in the next state over; Oregon.” All Might explained. “So once you all receive your luggage from the baggage carousall, we’ll head over to the airport’s pick up/drop off area. Where a rented charter bus, courtesy of our Principal Nezu, will be waiting to pick us up.”
As All Might explained this, the rest of the Class 1A transferred students all overheard this piece of information.
"Aww man!" Kaminari whined. "So much for checking out the L.A chicks here." He whispered to himself, only to be jabbed in the neck by Jiro’s earphone jacks.
“When will you learn?” Jiro scoffed.
"What's your deal?! Can't a guy have his moments for once?" Kaminari yelled.
"You can have your moments after we board the bus." Tokoyami said, walking past him.
Once they all regrouped, they all headed over to the baggage carousel to grab their luggage. And once they arrived they all waited for their luggage to arrive. And while they did, Iida, as usual, tries to keep things orderly as class rep.
“All right everyone. Single file line along the edge and wait until you spot your luggage passing by!” Iida instructs.
"Thank you, Iida," All Might said. While the students were getting their luggage, their attention was brought to the TV screen mounted on the wall.
"The death toll in Japan is at an all-time high as murders were being committed left and right. Many of the victims were of both hero and villain class. These killings were no doubt committed by, to which society has called; The Dark Reapers. A vigilante group that only appeared 5 years ago, but it was until after the retirement of the Symbol of Peace, All Might, which drew these cold-blooded killers out from the shadows. Police have yet to track down these self-styled vigilantes and have not found any clues to their whereabouts. Although, there was one photographic evidence that revealed one of the members of this group; however, it could not help identify who these people are or what their goals are."
Then on the TV screen, the photo that was stated by the news anchor was revealed on display; revealing what is stated to be a member of the so-called “Dark Reapers”. The figure on the screen, wore a black scarf and a combat vest. And underneath the vest, he wore what looked to be armor. In fact he was cover editing head-to-toe in armor;. But his mask was more terrifying, looking like some sort of ski/gas-mask hybrid, with the visors being colored red which made the individual even more frightening.
"Yikes, sounds like those guys mean serious business," Kaminari said, feeling shivers run down his spine.
"You mean to say we're stuck out here in some rich country while those assholes are running loose?!" Bakugou asked, his temper rising. “I COULD BE BACK IN JAPAN DESTROYING THOSE DAMN EXTRAS!!!!” he shouted.
"Keep your head cool, Bakugou. Besides, these guys sound like they're way tougher and more clever than any villains any of us have come across. We'll let Endeavor and the other heroes handle these guys. For now, we have a bus to catch and 3 weeks worth of training to look forward to," All Might pointed out.
Bakugo grumbled and scowled as he walked towards the baggage carousel, waiting for his luggage so he could leave this goddamn airport and get this lousy training program over with.
After a while, their baggage had arrived on the carousel and, one-by-one, they each grabbed their luggage and stepped back away from the carousel. Waiting for everyone else to grab their luggage. It wasn’t¹ long until everyone had now retrieved their luggage and made their way to the airport’s parking lot, where the carter bus, that All Might said, was waiting for them.
Later, they found the exit doors that lead out to the airport parking lot. All Might lead the students outside as they are met with the sight of their carter bus parked by the airport’s “pick up and drop off” area. They all immediately walked towards the large vehicle, while stopping 10-feet away from the bus’s door. Once they did, All Might turned around to look at the UA students.
“All right everyone. We’re gonna have a single file line, and we’ll board the bus one by one.” The former #1 pro hero instructed.
After All Might had instructed, the students heard the door to the bus open and their eyes were drawn to it. And when the door opens, they are surprised to see a middle aged woman step off the bus to greet them. The woman had on a long-sleeved lavender sweater and a midnight blue skirt that hugged at her lower thighs. Her hair was blue like the beautiful evening sky. Even her blue eyes sparkled in the night.
"Welcome to the United States, students of UA high. Allow me to introduce myself; I am Vice-Principal Luna of Canterlot High.” The woman introduced herself to them, while bearing a welcoming expression. That is until her eyes were drawn to the UA teacher, who still had his back turned from her, and immediately her expression turned to one of surprise. “Toshinori Yagi?” She spoke.
The students then turned their attention onto All Might, who looked extremely shocked and surprised for whatever reason.
“Uh… All Might? Are you alright?” Izuku asked his mentor.
Upon hearing Izuku saying the hero name of the person standing in front of her, Luna’s suspicions were proven correct.
“So it is you, Toshinori!” She proclaimed. "It's been quite a while since I last saw you, hasn't it?" She asked.
All Might scratched the back of his head in anxiousness as he finall turns around and he meets eye contact with the Vice-Principal.
"Heh, yeah I've… been kinda busy lately. First there was that big fight against All For One and then came teaching the students after I officially retired. How have you and your sister been lately?" All Might asked, being all casual with the lady.
“Oh, same old. Tia and I now run a school now, and had to deal with a lot of crazy events. But the one thing that hasn’t changed is her cake obsession.” Luna chuckled.
All Might chuckled along with her. “Seriously, she’s still on that?” he asked.
And within All Might and Luna’s conversation, Izuku, along with his other classmates, began to start feeling like third wheels. With most of them being confused as to how All Might knew this mysterious lady that they had just met. A few have some speculations; like Mina having her usual ‘shipping’ thoughts. And one of them, being Bakugo, didn’t care what was happening and was starting to get a little more impatient.
"Sir, I mean no disrespect in the slightest, but do you think we can board the bus and store our luggage soon?" Tenya asked politely, raising his hand. "We still have a schedule to keep."
"Hmm? Oh right, sorry about that. Everyone please store your luggage inside the storage compartment located on the side of the bus. Then head inside the bus and I'll introduce you to an old friend of mine while we head out." All Might instructed calmly.
And so, all of the students, one by one, had stored their luggage on the bus and took their seats inside. All safely fastened and ready to head out. The door to the bus closed and the driver started the engine and waited for the engine to warm up.
With Izuku, while sitting next to Uraraka, sitting across from All Might and Luna, as the two looked to be catching up. The young man looks at the two conversations before he is then distracted when Uraraka speaks to him.
“I wonder if they’re any other friends that All Might hasn’t told any of us about?” She asked.
She had the green-haired hero nerd startled, but he soon calmed down and turned to face her. “Uh, yeah. I was kinda thinking the same way.” he replied calmly and anxiously.
Knowing his students having questions, All Might looks back to all of them and he begins explaining.
"Anyways, class. To make a long story short, Luna and I have been good friends for years. I met her back when I was in my hay day. We first met at a school that I was exchanged to, where I met my old friend David Shield.” All Might said.
“Ah, David! Me and Tia haven’t seen him in a while too. How is he by the way, Toshi?” Luna asked the former pro hero.
"Good question. I'm not sure, his name hardly ever shows up on the news nowadays, so he's either held up with family matters or he's probably swamped over at the agency. But I'm sure he's doing okay for himself," All Might replied. “Besides he and Melissa are probably doing ok on I-Island as of right now.”
“That sounds nice.” Luna replied. “So, care to introduce me to your students?” she asked.
"Sure thing. To start off, we have our class representative, Tenya Iida. And then we have our class vice-representative, Momo Yaoyorozu.” All Might introduced the first two students.
"Pleasure to meet you, ma'am!" Tenya said with a little bow.
"How do you do?" Momo added politely.
"Next, there's Denki Kaminari, Eijiro Kirishima and Katsuki Bakugou," All Might introduced the 3 gentlemen.
“Heeeey!” Kirishima responded in a hyped tone.
“Whaddup.” Kaminari spoke.
“Tch,” Was all that Bakugo responded with, while crossing his arms and looking at the window.
"Bakugou is… a man of extremes, a sort of ticking time bomb." All Might whispered. However, it was caught on by Kaminari.
“Seriously! This guy literally explodes everytime we talk!” Kaminari commented.
This didn’t sit well for Bakugo as he turned his head to glare at the Pikachu-haired extra. “WHAT WAS THAT, DUNCE FACE?!!!!!” he shouted.
“AH! NOTHING! Please don’t kill me!” Kaminari panicked.
“That’s what I thought.” Katsuki stated.
Luna’s eyes widened from the display as she looked All Might with a shocked expression. “I see what you mean.” She whispered to him.
"Yes. But we have some good apples. For instance, Kyouka Jiro and Tsuyu Asui," All Might' introduced the two ladies.
"Hello, miss!" Kyouka called out.
"Nice to meet you, ribbit," Tsuyu added.
“And, fun fact about our Jiro, is that she’s an amazing singer and is musically talented I tell you!” Kaminari proclaimed. Which, unbeknownst to him, caused Jiro to get flustered and blush in embarrassment from the praise.
"It's true. She even sang at the festival. I'll show you a video of her performance. Anyways, we also have Shoto Todoroki and Fumikage Tokoyami.” All Might introduced.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," Tokoyami replied, bowing.
"Hey there," Todoroki added.
“Wait “Todoroki”? As in the son of Endeavor?” Luna whispered.
“Well yes, but young Shoto doesn’t wish to talk about his father much.” All Might silently replied.
“Oh.” Luna responded.
"Then, we have our pink wonder of the world, Mina Ashido. She's one of the more hyper students back at UA, a sweet, charming young lady." All Might said.
"Hi there! You look so pretty, miss!" Ashido waves happily.
Luna chuckled at how precious she was. “I know a certain student who would get along quite nicely with her.” She thought to herself.
"And finally, we have Ochako Uraraka and Izuku Midoriya," All Might finished.
"Pleasure to meet you, ma'am. Thank you for having us," Uraraka bowed.
"It's an honor to be here, ma'am," Midoriya added politely.
When Luna sees Izuku, she then glances at him with suspicion, believing that he looked familiar from somewhere. Her staring caused the green-haried student discomfort and made him feel flustered. All Might also grew curious and confused by Luna’s behavior.
And after a moment of inspecting, Luna finally understood why he looked familiar.
“Wait a minute? You’re that young boy from the Shie Hassaikai Raid on global news!?” Luna claimed. “The young boy that took down Overhaul.”
"Waitl? How did you know about that?" He asked, surprised. Uraraka was a bit surprised too, along with Kirishima and Asui; since they too were a part of the raid.
“Are you kidding me?! It was a big deal over here in the states. Every student at the school my sister and I run, have all seen the event on national TV.” Luna explained. “In fact… many of the students became your fans.” she proclaimed.
Izuku’s eyes widened as he was surprised and shocked to hear that information. All Might immediately coughed up blood when he heard what she said. And he wasn’t the only one, all of Izuku’s classmates were shocked upon hearing this.
“Wait, Midobro has fans at the school?” Kirishima asked.
“Whoa! Midoriya has a fanbase! Neat!” Mina commented.
“Wait? You're talking about our Midoriya, right?” Kaminari asked in confusion.
“Wow, Deku. I didn’t know you would be popular in this country?” Uraraka asked, while also proud of her best friend; and “totally not” her crush.
"Deku, you damn bastard!!!" Bakugou snarled between his teeth, trying not to explode on the bus.
"It's not that surprising, after all the stuff he's been through to get this far, Ribbit." Tsuyu said.
"You should feel proud, Midoriya. You're really making a name for yourself as a true hero, just like you hoped you would." Tenya praised.
“I agree with Iida. Seems that you made quite a name for yourself.” Momo commented. Todoroki and Tokoyami didn’t say much and simply nod in agreement.
Izuku was speechless, as well as frozen in his seat, because he was overwhelmed by the praise he was getting. BUt more so by the fact that he just found out that an entire school in this country are his fans. In all honesty, Midoriya never really seeked popularity or glory at all; and he just referred to his deeds as just him wanting to save people and help them feel safe. He never actually thought he would actually become popular because of it.
His silence and paralyzed state caused some concerns from his classmates and mentor.
“Deku? Are you alright?” Uraraka asked, while having her hand on his shoulder.
“Young Midoriya? Are you well?” All Might asked out of concern.
“Shdiuwdgeiudghjwjddgdjwdwjdbwd!” Midoriya blabbled in response, which nobody could even understand what he just said.
"I think he's shocked to have such a huge fan base here in the states. I shouldn't be surprised, the dude's real humble when it comes to these things," Kirishima chuckled in amusement.
“Yep. And now we just broke him.” Jiro replied.
“Does this usually happen?” Luna asked out of confusion.
“Well, mostly happens when Greenie here can’t learn to give himself more credit or accept the praise he’s given.” Jiro explained. “Like Kirishima said, he’s really humble.”
"Then that's precisely why he's such an amazing hero. I'm sure his family must be very proud of him," Luna said, feeling proud of him herself.
“Uh, Luna?” All Might spoke towards his old friend, before gesturing to her to lean in closer before he whispered. “Midoriya’s mother is the only family he has. His father left them when he was at a very young age.” he silently informs her. “But don’t speak it out loud, it's sensitive information.”
"Right. Of course, my apologies." Luna whispered back.
From along the back row, Mina leaned towards Momo and Jiro with a devious smile on her face and a look in her eyes that Momo and Jiro know too well.
“Hey, how much do you guys wanna bet that Vice-Principal Luna and All Might had dated back then?” She asked in a whisper.
“Mina! This is no time for your shipping shenanigans!” Yaoyororzu whispered in response.
“Eh, I bet 200¥.” Jiro stated.
"Make it 500¥," Tsuyu added
“Hey, count us in!” Kirishima spoke up as he and Kaminari looked over from behind Yaoyorozu and Jiro.
“Wait, you two want in on this?” Yaoyorozu asked the two boys in confusion.
“What? What Mina suggested sounded manly, so why not?” Kirishima replied.
“Also, All Might was the greatest hero back in his day and look at Ms.Luna, she’s a total hottie. Why not think of those two hitting it off back then?” Kaminari suggested before looking towards Mina. “Oh by the way, put me and Eijiro down for 530¥.”
"You're on, but don't go jamming your brains if you lose… Jammin' Yay," Jiro teased, making the other girls giggle.
"It's Chargebolt! And why do you always have to bring up that stupid name?" Kaminari asked, facepalming himself.
As this conversation went on, the Carter bus eventually stopped at a traffic light. Knowing this trip was gonna be long, Luna then gets up from her seat and approaches the bus driver.
“Excuse me, sir. Since this will be a long drive, do you mind if you play a little music on the radio. Just to give our transfer students a taste of the American tune.” Luna asked.
"Hey, that sounds like a good idea. What do ya say, bus driver? Care to liven the mood with some jamming tunes?" All Might added.
The bus driver turned to look at Luna and All Might, with a very happy, relieved expression on his face. “Finally! I thought I’ll never be asked to do that. No problem.” he said as he turned his eyes back on the road and then turned on the radio as Luna returned back to sit down next to All Might.
And in just seconds, the students of Class 1A are then met with a blast of country rock music filling the bus, startling most of them while also surprising them.
Luna and All Might look back at the unsuspected students with smiles on their faces. “Here’s your first taste of America, students.” the vice-principal chuckled.
"Dude, this is awesome! I could get down with these tunes when I work out!" Kirishima said.
“The hell is this!” Bakugo shouted, surprised by the music, but deep, deep, deep, deep down… whatever is within his soul… he actually liked the music.
"I gotta show this to my parents when I get home!" Jiro said excitedly, doing a little dance, grooving to the beat.
Kaminari looked over the seat to see Jiro dancing and grooving, and a light blush appeared on his face as he sat back in his seat while pondering on his thoughts. “Why does she look so cute when she is grooving?” he mentally asked himself.
“WOO! This song is so manly!” Kirishima hyped.
“WOO! You said it, Kiri!” Mina cheered as she waved her arms in the air.
“I must say… This song really drives away the darkness.” Tokoyami commented.
Tokoroki remained silent and sitting in his seat, but he was slightly moving his head with the music and bearing a slight smile on his face. The music was really good in his opinion.
“I must admit. The song is very uplifting.” Iida proclaimed.
“I know right *ribbit*.” Tsu replied.
"Wow, this music is amazing! America's full of surprises!" Izuku said excitedly. "It sort of reminds me of when we performed over at UA… and when we made little Eri smile for the first time," thinking back to that one enlightening moment at the school, Izuku still remembers how happy Eri was by the end of the day.
“Yeah, I remember. It was the happiest she’s ever been since… since…” Uraraka couldn’t say more, because all that did was remind her of the Shie Hassaikai raid. Remembering the horror they went through, and not to mention Sir Nighteye’s demise. Just thinking about the pro hero’s death reminds her of her failure to save his life and how she wasn’t fast enough and….
“Uraraka? Are you ok?” She can hear Midoriya’s voice talking to her.
"Huh? Oh. Yeah, sorry. It's nothing, really," Uraraka replied with a nervous chuckle.
"You sure? You looked kinda… troubled for a second there," Izuku pointed out.
"Don't worry, Izuku. It's nothing serious. Just… reminiscing," Uraraka reassured.
"Well, okay then." Izuku decided to leave it alone for the time being before changing the subject. "Still, I'm kinda curious about what school we'll be spending our 3 weeks at while we're here. Maybe it's got a… friendlier atmosphere. Uh… n-n-no offense about UA, that is," Izuku corrected himself in a panic.
Luna chuckled. "No need to worry, young man. The school in question does, in fact, provide a friendly environment." she assured.
"Sounds like we'll be in for a friendly welcome." Momo said, putting her hands together.
"This should be interesting," Todoroki added.
"Yes, although we'll have to keep one of our… explosive classmates on a tight leash if he ever rubs off on them the wrong way," Tokoyami mentioned.
"You say something, BIRD BRAIN?!" Bakugou snapped, flashing his purely white chompers.
"Settle down, everyone. That includes you, Bakugou." All Might instructed.
“Tch.” Bakugo responded.
“Oh by the way, Toshinori. Principal Nezu contacted me and Celestia that UA had paid for most of your student’s stay at the apartment complex next to the school. And of course, we have selected students from our school to have some of your students stay at their residences.” Luna explained.
"That's good news. At least we'll know they can sleep comfortably during their stay here," All Might replied, relieved.
“Well Tia and I are happy to oblige for your students.” Luna replied with a smile.
“Hey, V.P. Luna! Did you and All Might date back in your day?!” Mina shouted from her seat, loud enough for everyone to hear. All the students, especially Izuku tured to stare at the two adults.
All Might and Luna both felt their cheeks burn up, turning bright red before Luna cleared her throat and answered first.
"Toshinori and I do share history some years back. However… our marital status back then is strictly… confidential. But I will admit, Toshinari did have a rather… alluring smile," Luna admitted, looking the other way.
All Might tried to keep his cool, but Luna’s comment only made him feel flustered and sheepish.
Now Ashido’s determination to bring her new ship to light, and she ain’t gonna stop till she uncovers the truth. Even if it kills her.
Meanwhile, the day went by in Canterlot, with the sun out of view from the city, nearly everyone was getting ready for some shut-eye. But… one group of girls decided to have one last chat before heading off to bed.
"Hey girls, are you ready for tomorrow?" Sunset asked through her laptop. On her computer screen, Twilight, Rarity, AJ, Rainbow, Pinkie and Fluttershy were all present and accounted for and dressed in their cute pajamas.
"Ready and waiting. My parents have allowed me to stay up until one of the transfer students is dropped off at my house," Twilight said.
"Really? What a coincidence, because I happen to be waiting for one of them, myself." Fluttershy chimed in.
"Me too! ME TOO!!!" Pinkie added cheerfully.
"I have a feeling we're all waiting for a transfer student to show up at our homes. Oh, this'll be so much fun, darling!" Rarity squealed with joy.
"Yup, seems like it. Ah just hope it ain't that bomb feller. Granny Smith would never let me hear the end of it," AJ said, getting shivers.
"You guys all got one… I'm taking in two of them," Sunset said.
"Aw, lucky you! You get to have 2 UA hero course students crashing at your place! Just be sure it's not that bomb boy.” Rainbow responded.
"I doubt any of us would take him in. My parents would have a major headache with that guy roaming around the house," Twilight cringed.
"Please, the real headache would be that little grape-headed pervy midget. No way would I ever wanna take him in," Rainbow replied.
"Eww, seriously, who thought it was a good idea to let HIM enroll into UA?" Pinkie asked. All the girls in the chatroom got the shivers from just the thought of having that little midget coming anywhere near them.
"Anywho, which one of the UA students would you girls like to take in? My money's on the stylish young damsel who can create things out of her body," Rarity said.
"Ooh! I hope it's the sugar guy! OOH!!! Maybe it's that cute pink girl! She looks like she can be LOTS of fun!" Pinkie proclaimed in a cheerful tone.
“You mean the girl that looks like an alien?” Rainbow Dash asked while she’s using her fingers to mimic horns on her head.
“Rainbow Dash! Do you dare downgrade a person’s image!” Rarity sternly replied.
"I'm not. I'm just saying she looks awesome with the horns," Rainbow clarified.
"I think her horns look kinda cute on her, hehe." Fluttershy commented. "I'm hoping to get to know that froggy girl. The way she acts exactly like a frog, it's just so cute!" the timid animal lover grabbed one of her bed pillows and hugged it so tightly, she even nuzzled into it. "Oh, or maybe the one with the birdie head. He seems to look so edgy, but I bet he's very kind and caring deep down."
"I heard he once went berserk, but only because one o' his friends got seriously hurt. Y'all might wanna be careful if that ever happens," Applejack pointed out.
"Anyways, I'm hoping I get to meet Momo or possibly Tenya. Both of them have some remarkably high grades," Twilight said.
The rest of the girls look at Twilight with stunned expressions.
“How the heck do you know those two?! You never met them!?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“Uh, I did my research, Dash. For example, Momo Yaoyororzu comes from a rich hero family in Japan. Same goes for Tenya Iida, whose family has been in heroics for many generations; in fact his elder brother was even the pro hero, Ingenium; before his early retirement due to being paralyzed from the waist down.” Twilight explained.
“Wow, Twi, I'm impressed.” Sunset commented.
"How did he wind up with an injury that bad?" Rainbow asked.
“Well, it didn’t say much on the web; however, according to news articles I read, the pro hero Ingenium had an encounter with a deadly vigilante in Japan; which the public called him: The Hero Killer, Stain.” Twilight replied.
“Hero Killer? That sounds terrifying.” Fluttershy whimpered in fear.
"I have to agree, darling.. This "Hero Killer" sounds like one horrific brute!" Rarity replied, sharing Fluttershy's fear.
"Phfft. That doesn’t sound scary at all.” Rainbow exclaimed; but deep down, she is terrified of hearing about this Stain character.
“‘Ah really hope we don’t see that feller here.” Applejack spoke.
“Oh I wouldn’t worry. According to the news articles in Japan on the web, Stain was defeated and captured by the #1 hero Endeavor. And is being held up in Tartarus prison.” Twilight assured her friends.
"Hoo-wee, at least we ain't gotta deal with that monster," AJ said in relief.
"Well, in any case, we'd better prepare for when the students arrive. In the meantime, I'll see you girls later. Best wishes to all of you," Sunset encouraged.
“See ya!” The girls all said their goodbyes before signing off the group chat.
Sunset then closed her laptop as she turned her focus onto the clock in her apartment. After looking at the time, she guessed that in the next few minutes, her new roommates for three weeks would arrive soon.
With that thought, she jumped off her bed and got to work on setting up everything for her guests' arrival.
*A Few Minutes Later*
After hours of driving across a whole state, and then crossing over into another, the 12 students of Class 1A and the two teachers that accompany them have arrived in the city of Canterlot. The students look out their windows to admire the city and the city lights that lighten the dark night.
"Students, allow me to be the first to welcome you to Canterlot City. This is where you all will be staying for the remainder of your school trip." Luna said.
"Oh wow! It's so beautiful at night!" Ashido said excitedly.
"I cannot wait to see what this glorious city has to offer!" Momo added in her own excitement.
“Tch, you extras act like you have never seen a city before.” Bakugo scoffed.
“You serious Bakubro! This is no ordinary city, this is our first city… in America! It's so manly!” Kirishima replied with a hyped tone.
"You're telling me! I could get a charge outta this place!" Kaminari added.
“Just don’t fry your brain cells while you do it, Kaminari.” Jiro jokes.
"Aww, why you always gotta put me down like that, Kyoka?!" Kaminari complained.
"I mean, you tend to let loose a lot of voltage, so it's not our fault you fry your brains and turn into an idiot every now and then, ribbit," Tsuyu pointed out. Kaminari slumped down even more as an invisible cloud loomed over his head.
“Wow, I never thought I would see an American city in my whole life. Its amazing.” Izuku commented as he observed the city from the window.
“I know, it's so exciting to even think about it!” Ochako added.
As the students were busy sightseeing, Luna had a brief conversation with the bus driver.
“So you want me to drop off ya’ll at the school? Or at a hotel or something?” the bus driver asked.
“No no, just follow down Cloudsdale Ave. and then stop by a small apartment where we’ll be dropping off our first two students.” Luna instructs him.
“Got it!” the bus driver acknowledged her words and continued down the road that they were driving on. A couple minutes later, the bus driver stops just outside the apartment complex Luna had mentioned. "We're here."
"Perfect. Now then…" Luna got up and checked her clipboard. "Would… Izuku Midoriya and Ochako Uraraka please step down, grab your luggage and follow me, please?"
Izuku and Ochako were both surprised that they’re both picked, which also had them slightly blushing. Mina watched the two with a wide grin as her shipper thoughts went wild in her mind. Not wanting to cause the Vice-Principal to feel impatient, the two got up from their seats and followed Luna off the bus.
"You two behave yourselves, now," Ashido called out, stifling her giggles like a cute fangirl.
Mina’s words could be heard by Midoriya and Uraraka, which had the two blushing even more, and both tried to hide it.
Once they were both off the bus, the two grabbed their luggage from the bus carry-on on the sides of the charter bus. Once they did, Luna led the two towards the apartment complex and up the stairs towards the top floor. Once the woman and the two hero students reached the top floor, they walked past many apartment doors until Luna stopped at one of the apartment doors.
“Well, this is where you two will be staying. I’ll leave you two be, just knock on the door; the students have already been informed that you’ll be arriving. Good luck.” Luna instructed the two before turning around and leaving them at the door; and returning back to the bus.
With the bus getting ready to leave, Izuku and Ochako waved bye to their friends. Everyone inside the bus waved back at them even as the bus left the two alone. Now, there was silence, save for the singing crickets.
"Okay, shall we?" Izuku turned to Uraraka, who nodded. Izuku then knocked on the door and waited for their host to let them inside. They hear footsteps from inside the apartment before seeing the door open up and spotting a beautiful young lady with bright yellow skin and bacon-colored hair with turquoise eyes. She had on purple pajamas with a shimmering sun stickered on the front. And from the sound of her yawning, she had woken up from her sleep.
"Oh, hey, you two showed up. Pleased to meet you, I--" she paused when she got one good look at Izuku and suddenly, her eyes began to sparkle. "Y-You…” Before the girl could even say more, she fainted and fell backwards in front of the two students.
"Uh-oh! Uh… we'd better get her to bed ASAP," Izuku said, worried about the girl.
"I can take care of that," Uraraka said. She touched Sunset and carried her through the air and set her down on her bed located near the top of a high structure. She released Sunset, letting her lay perfectly on her soft bed. Izuku went up and covered her in the blankets while Uraraka carried their luggage over to the living room.
"I wonder why she fainted like that," Izuku said to himself quietly. He then headed down to the living room with Uraraka and unpacked some of his stuff. Mostly his weights, hygiene stuff and… some of his All Might collection, which Uraraka giggled at.
"You're one hardcore All Might fanboy, that's for sure," Uraraka pointed out.
Izuku gets all sheepish and flustered from her comment. “Y-Yeah, I guess I am. Hehe.” He chuckled in reply. With their host fainted and snoozing away, Izuku and Uraraka decided to sleep on opposite sides of the couch. They got out the blankets they packed and tucked themselves in for a goodnight sleep. Still… they couldn't wait for whatever tomorrow had in store for them.
