Opal Helps Out
"Be careful Spikey." Rarity said.
"I will Rarity," Spike said and found himself facing a formidable opponent. With claws and teeth to match. He held out his left claw. "Scrub brush."
Rarity used her unicorn magic to place one in his claw. In his other claw, he had a piece of wood with a string attached to it and a small toy hanging off the end with a set of feathers attached.
"Okay Opal, you're getting a bath." Spike stepped forward with his long flowing red cape Rarity had made him. Glancing back he smiled. "I look good, don't I?"
"You look smashing darling," Rarity added with a hint of pink on her cheeks. She had gotten used to the older more toned Spike.
Opal had her fur frizzled up and claws at the ready. Her eyes were narrowed looking right at Spike.
He dangled her favorite cat toy in front of her. "Come on Opal..."
Rarity had her hoof next to her mouth.
Opal leaned down and jumped at the toy. Spike pulled his cap back revealing the large bathtub Rarity had set up with water. Opal used her claws to grab the fabric and land on Spike's shoulder. Pushing off she sent him off balance.
"Whoh...whoh." Spike felt his back claw catch on his cap and he felt himself starting to fall back.
Rarity jumped out and grabbed hold of Spike and it sent them both into the bathtub together.

Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash came over. They could all hear the laughter coming from inside the Boutique.
Twilight raised her hoof to the door and knocked.
"This is the worst possible thing." Spike and Rarity say at the same time when they heard a knock on the front door of her shop.
This feels more like a sauna with Spike in here with me, Hearing the door open she knew it would be their friends. "This'll be awkward."
"No kidding," Spike added trying to free himself from the cape. My muscles were starting to feel better…
Rarity had managed to get out of the bathtub and use her unicorn magic to lift Spike up. Her soaked mane nearly touched the floor.
The group came into the main area and spotted them.
"Uh...why are you two all wet?" Twilight asked.
"Duh, they were just in the bathtub," Rainbow replied with a grin.
Spike and Rarity both felt their faces start to turn red.
"Did we interrupt something?" Twilight asked.
That got a laugh from Rainbow Dash.
Spike had managed to unravel the cape revealing the cat toy on the stick.
"Well, this is just getting weird," Applejack added noticing what Spike was holding.
"Look, I was trying to give Opal a bath, I tripped, and Rarity tried to catch me."
"Then why are both of your faces so red?" Rainbow asked.
Rarity and Spike exchanged glances and didn't say anything.
Opal was laying in the corner with a big grin on her face looking so proud.
"Are our orders ready?" Twilight asked changing the subject.
"Of course, darling." Rarity said using her unicorn magic to grab three wrapped packages containing new outfits for each of them.
"Well, we'll leave yawl to clean up." Applejack said taking her package and trotting out of the door.
Rainbow grabbed her item and grinned at Rarity and Spike before she flew off.
"I'm sure this'll be forgotten. Spike is an adult...and..." Twilight's voice trailed off when Spike lifted an eyebrow. "Right." She grabbed her item and used her alicorn magic to teleport away.
Rarity and Spike both let out a collective sigh.
"That went well," Spike said glancing back at the bathtub and rolled his shoulders.
"Tension darling?" Rarity asked now that they were alone again.
Spike nodded. Rarity used her magic to remove his cape so she could hang it up to dry. "Were you enjoying the water? I know that you like saunas."
"I must admit that I was." Rarity replied with a smile.
"We really should tell them."
"I think it's more fun to watch them try and figure it out." Rarity replied with a smile.
Spike stepped into the tub and easily picked up Rarity. "True."
Rarity nuzzled up against him.

Twilight walked alongside Rainbow and Applejack. "Shouldn't we tell them that we know?"
"No way Twilight, this is way more fun," Rainbow replied.
"Gotta agree, this is fun." Applejack replied with a laugh. “They do look adorable together.”

Spike had his arms around Rarity. Opal had walked up and laid down in front of the tub on the floor with a smile on her face. “Reminds me of the first time you asked me to give Opal a bath.
Rarity giggled at the thought. “I did it on purpose darling.”
“Yeah, I kinda figured,” Spike said placing a kiss on her cheek.
Rarity let out a sigh. “I’m still glad I did. I couldn’t be happier.”
“Being so close together, got us to open up about each other,” Spike said while running his claw through her main to smoothed it out.
Opal glanced up at them with that same smile and started to purr.
Spike glanced down at Rarity’s cat. “Do you think Opal knew?” The thought had crossed Spike’s mind before.
“Don’t be silly darling…” Rarity said as her ears twitched. She could hear Opal purring just like she had the first time. “On the other hand...” The thought sounded crazy.
“Love, I could tell you’d fallen for me.” Spike ran a claw down her neck. She lifted her head towards his. He planted a kiss on her nose.
“Yes, love, the necklace you’d catch me wearing when I forgot I had it on?”
Spike nodded as Rarity kissed him.
Rarity could feel the water grow a bit hotter and little bubbles were breaking the surface. She relaxed more into the kiss and him.
Opal pawed Spike's shoulder, in her mouth was a shiny ring.
Spike noticed Opal. “Rarity, I have a question.”

Opal can be a little sneak, I had fun adding in a few little plot twists. I couldn't resist ^_^
