Applejack is the same age as Twilight. 16 years old. She lives on an apple farm, famously known throughout Equestria as Sweet Apple Acres.

Applejack lives with her oldest and only brother, Big Macintosh, her youngest sister, Apple Bloom, and her grandmother, Granny Smith.

Back when she was only a 5 year old filly, she had left her farm home to go live with her Aunt and Uncle Orange in Manehattan. It didn't go so well for her. She began to feel homesick. Suddenly, a rainbowy boom erupted in the sky, pointing towards her home.

After that, she knew she was destined to be in the apple business. She had returned to her brother and grandmother, to live on the farm again. She had earned her Cutie Mark on her return.

She met Twilight and the others when she was 14 as well.

Applejack now is part of the most famous, and only, apple business in Equestria.

But, suddenly, an unspeakable event pulls her apart...from her friends and family...
