Revival of Tambelon
Chapter 5; Tales of the Past
Previous ChapterNext ChapterCozy Glow slowly came to her senses, lying in a soft bed, wrapped in warmth and comfort. She stretched, spreading her little wings, and yawned slightly, feeling her salmon-pink fur touch the fresh morning air. Waking up, she turned over on her side and looked at the bookshelf that stood against the wall. In the rays of the morning sun breaking through the window, Cozy noticed only three books neatly standing in a row.
her light turquoise blue hair, wrapped in curls with a white bow, lightly touched the pillow as she gazed thoughtfully at the books. A thought arose in Cozy's head: "I need more books. These three are not enough to understand everything I want to know about Equestria and its magic." her chestnut-burgundy eyes with white freckles on her muzzle studied the covers carefully, but she knew that she would need more knowledge to complete her mission.
The delicate smell of a freshly prepared breakfast began to permeate the room, filling it with the aromas of apple fritters and freshly squeezed juice. suddenly Cozy heard a voice from behind the door: “Hey, Cozy Glow! Breakfast is ready!” It was Applejack, whose friendly invitation resounded throughout the house.
Cozy Glow quickly recovered, getting out of bed. she shook off the remnants of sleep in one fell swoop and straightened her white bow so that her curls looked perfect. Taking a quick look around the room one last time, she felt a little calmer, knowing that a new day full of discoveries and opportunities awaited her.
with a slight trembling in her chest, Cozy headed towards the door. Her hooves softly touched the wooden floor as she smiled as she opened the door and walked out of the room, ready for a new day and to learn more about the world that surrounded her.
Cozy Glow sat down at the table where the entire Apple family had already gathered for breakfast. The aroma of freshly made apple fritters and toast filled the kitchen, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Cozy smiled at her hosts, feeling almost at home, and enjoyed the dishes offered.
While she was enjoying her breakfast, Applejack turned to her with a good-natured smile: "Cozy Glow, I noticed that you are very interested in books. What are your plans for today?"
Cozy, carefully taking a piece of pancake, replied: “I'm thinking of spending the morning reading those books that I took. I really need to learn more to understand this amazing world."
Applejack, nodding in understanding, suggested, "If you plan to stay here for a while, we can help you buy whatever you need. Is there anything you might need in particular?"
cozy thought for a moment, her chestnut-burgundy eyes sparkling with interest. "Actually, I need more books. I want to learn more about the history of Equestria and magic."
Applejack smiled and said, “You know, it would be better if you made a list of the things you need. That way we can take care of everything you need."
Cozy Glow nodded, agreeing with the idea, "That's a good idea. I'll write everything down as soon as I get back to my room."
At this moment, Apple Bloom, who was listening to the conversation, cheerfully exclaimed: “Hey, Cozy Glow!this afternoon I want to show you a place that I think you'll like!"
Cozy smiled back, feeling excited about the upcoming excursion, "I can't wait to see it, Applebloom. Thank you!"
After finishing breakfast, Cozy Glow thanked the Apple family for their hospitality and kindness. she stood up from the table, feeling ready for a new day full of discoveries and possibilities.
Cozy returned to her room, determined to spend the morning reading. she knew she had a lot to learn and was determined to delve deeper into the world of knowledge to better understand Equestria and her role in it. Having made a list of necessary things, she began to read, immersing herself in the pages of books that could open up new horizons for her.
cozy Glow sat down at the table in her room, taking a piece of paper and a pencil. She began carefully writing down everything she needed: books on history and magic, school supplies, maybe a couple of new dresses to match Ponyville's style. her handwriting was neat and even, every letter in its place. When she finished, she checked the list again to make sure she hadn't missed anything.
With the paper in her hooves, Cozy went in search of Applejack. she found her on the veranda, where she was going to spend the rest of the Apple family going about their business. "Applejack, here's my list," Cozy said, holding out the paper. Applejack took it and nodded, smiling, "Great, Cozy Glow. We'll take care of it all."
After everyone left, Cozy Glow decided to look into the kitchen, hoping to find something sweet. She quickly searched the cabinets and found a jar of oatmeal cookies. Taking one, she took a bite and her eyes lit up with pleasure. "What delicious food the ponies have!" - she exclaimed to herself. "In Tambelone we didn't have such sweets, only grapes and nuts."
Having had her fill, Cozy Glow returned to her room, determined to explore. She took one of the books she had brought from the library and sat down on the bed. Opening it, Cozy suddenly opened her mouth and eyes wide in amazement. the text was not written in Tambelonian, but in the language of Equestria, which she had not yet fully mastered.
Cozy Glow, looking at the pages of the book, sighed and exclaimed: “Oh, my God, has it really been so long that ponies came up with their own writing? How can I read these books?” her voice was filled with disappointment and she lowered her head, feeling saddened by this discovery.
Meanwhile, Applejack, while at the market, decided to take a look at the list Cozy Glow gave her. She unfolded the paper and frowned, trying to understand what was written there. “Very strange,” she muttered under her breath. “The letters don’t look like Equestrian ones. Maybe that’s how they write it in Cozy Glow’s homeland?”
Her curiosity and concern grew, and she decided it would be best to show this to Twilight. “We need to show Twilight,” she said, heading towards the library to ask her all-knowing friend for advice.
When Applejack reached the library, she found Twilight deep in reading. Approaching her, Applejack said: “Hello, Twilight. I have a strange piece of paper here. could you take a look?"
Twilight looked up from her book and took the paper from Applejack. Quickly skimming the text, she exclaimed in surprise: “This is Old Japanese! I didn’t expect to see it here. Where did you get this from?”
Applejack shrugged and replied, "Cozy Glow gave me this list. She said it was her list of things she needed."
Twilight thought, frowning slightly. "This is unusual... Ancient Japanese is rarely used nowadays. I wonder where Cozy Glow learned it."
Applejack nodded, agreeing with Twilight, "Yeah, that's really weird. Maybe I should talk to her and find out more."
Twilight agreed, "I think it's a good idea. Maybe we can help Cozy Glow figure out what she needs."
Applejack and Twilight Sparkle, worried about the unexpected discovery, headed towards the Cozy Glow room. They knocked on the door, and upon hearing a polite “come in,” they went inside. Cozy Glow sat on the bed with a book in her hooves, and at the sight of her guests, she put it aside, greeting them with a smile.
“Hello, Cozy Glow,” Twilight began, trying to speak softly. "We'd like to talk to you about your shopping list."
Cozy Glow frowned slightly, not understanding what was going on. "Is something wrong?"
“Well, the thing is, your list is written in Old Japanese,” Twilight explained, showing Cozy Glow a piece of paper. "It's a pretty rare language. We just want to understand how you know it."
Cozy Glow froze for a moment, realizing that her secret might be revealed. she sighed and decided to answer as truthfully as possible. "Well, my parents were always interested in ancient cultures and languages. They taught me to read and write in Old Japanese. It's part of our family heritage."
Applejack sat down on the edge of the bed, crossing her hooves. "That's really impressive, Cozy Glow. But where did you come from? We don't often come across such educated ponies."
Cozy Glow thought for a moment, searching for words. "My family travels a lot. We lived in different places, studying the history and culture of Equestria. I'm used to the fact that we don't stay in one place for long."
Twilight, interested in her answers, asked: “Who are your parents? Maybe I heard about them if they also study ancient languages.”
Cozy Glow chuckled slightly, trying not to show her anxiety. "They prefer to remain in the shadows and not attract too much attention to themselves. They believe that knowledge is more important than fame."
Applejack and Twilight exchanged glances, feeling that Cozy Glow was not telling something. However, they decided not to press her and leave further questions for the future.
"Okay, Cozy Glow," Twilight said, smiling warmly. "If you need help with books or anything else, let us know. We're always here to help."
Cozy Glow nodded, feeling relieved, "Thank you, I'll be sure to reach out if I have any questions."
cozy Glow, a little worried, looked at Twilight Sparkle and decided to confess: “Twilight, I have to tell you the truth. I can’t read or write Equestrian. This is completely new to me, and I feel a little lost because of it. "
Twilight, surprised but understanding, replied softly, "Oh, Cozy Glow, don't worry. I'll be happy to help you. We can start by reading the book you chose."
Cozy Glow smiled in relief, "Thank you, Twilight. You're so kind. Can you read this book to me?" she pointed to one of the books she had brought from the library.
Twilight nodded, using her magic to take a book from the shelf. "Of course, Cozy. Let's see what we have here." She sat down next to Cozy Glow on the bed and opened the book.
"This is 'The Tale of the Brave Gusti and the Terrible Grogar,'" Twilight began, her voice full of enthusiasm. Cozy Glow listened intently, her eyes widening in surprise when she heard Grogar's name.
"Grogar?" - Cozy whispered, trying to hide her interest. her heart beat a little faster, but she tried not to show her real emotions.
Twilight, not noticing Cozy's reaction, continued: "Yes, this is the story of how the brave Gusti fought Grogar to free Equestria from his terrible rule. It is one of the most famous legends."
cozy Glow tried to remain calm, but her mind was consumed with thoughts of Tambelon and her real mission. She understood that she needed to be careful and not give away her true intentions.
Twilight continued reading, immersing herself in the text and sharing with Cozy a story full of adventure and heroism. cozy listened carefully, trying to understand how these events could affect her goals and plans.
After Twilight finished reading, she looked at Cozy, "If you have questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to ask."
cozy Glow nodded, trying to look interested and grateful: “Thank you, Twilight. That was very interesting. I’ll definitely ask if I don’t understand something.”
Twilight smiled, glad she was able to help, and left Cozy Glow with the book so she could think about what she had heard and decide what steps to take next.
Twilight continued to read the story about how the brave unicorn Gusti was able to rebel against the evil Capricorn Grogar and end his tyranny. Cozy Glow listened, but a storm of emotions raged inside her. She was mentally angry: “What kind of nonsense am I listening to? The tyranny of Grogar? The brave Gusti?”
When Twilight finally finished reading the story, she turned to Cozy and asked, “So, how did you like the story?”
Cozy Glow, trying to look calm, replied, "I didn't like that stupid story."
Twilight raised an eyebrow in surprise: “Why?”
cozy shrugged, trying to express her dissatisfaction: “There is a lot left unsaid in him. Why did you have to rebel against Grogar? If he was terrible, the ponies would have lived under his rule. And from the story it is not clear when and how Grogar ruled.he may have ruled these lands before the Pony Migration and may have been a wise ruler. It’s not just that the ponies recognized him as their ruler?”
Twilight thought about Cozy's words: "That's an interesting point of view. History can sometimes be complex and multi-layered. Perhaps we should look to other sources to better understand what happened during those times."
Cozy Glow nodded, pleased that her opinion had been heard, and promised herself to be careful with her comments in the future.
Twilight and Cozy Glow got out of bed and headed to the door, discussing what they had read. Cozy, still processing what she had heard, asked: "Twilight, did Grogar have a city where he ruled from? I'm just surprised that nothing is mentioned about it."
Twilight frowned slightly, trying to remember: “To be honest, I’ve never heard of such a city. It’s just a legend, and it’s possible that neither Gusti nor Grogar ever existed.”
Cozy Glow could not contain her emotions and retorted with confidence in her voice: “Don’t say that, Twilight! They also said about Princess Luna and the Crystal Empire that these were just legends, but they turned out to be real. I'm sure Grogar and Gusti were real. It’s just that many centuries have passed and the ponies have forgotten about them. Perhaps we don’t even know half of their whole story!”
Twilight stopped, amazed by Cozy's passion and conviction: "You're right, Cozy. History is often lost or distorted over time. And you know, maybe it's really worth doing some research to find out more about those times."
cozy Glow saw Twilight's eyes sparkle with interest and felt her heart beat faster. She didn't expect her words to have such an effect. "That would be wonderful, Twilight. I think there may be incredible information hidden in the archives."
Twilight nodded enthusiastically: “Yes, and if we can find even the slightest trace of their existence, it will be an amazing discovery for all of Equestria.”
They continued to discuss what books and archives could help shed light on forgotten legends. cozy Glow, feeling more confident, realized that her interest in history could be the key to understanding and perhaps even changing her own destiny.
-
Twilight and Cozy Glow continued through the library, and Cozy couldn't hide her excitement. she felt that her questions and thoughts were heard, and this gave her confidence.
“Twilight,” Cozy continued, her voice full of enthusiasm, “I always thought that legends and myths hide a grain of truth. Perhaps there really was a Grogar, but his story may have been distorted by time.”
Twilight, deep in thought, replied, "You know, Cozy, you're absolutely right. History can sometimes be complex and contradictory, and understanding it takes time and effort. I think we could start by studying the old manuscripts and archives of Canterlot.there may be clues to something we missed."
Cozy Glow, excited by the opportunity to explore something so significant, nodded, "That would be amazing, Twilight. I'd love to help you in your search. Who knows what secrets might be hidden in the dust of centuries?"
Twilight smiled, seeing Cozy's eyes light up with anticipation of discovery: "Then let's start by making a list of books and documents that are worth studying. I'm sure that our efforts can lead to something incredible."
they continued to discuss what steps to take to delve deeper into research. Twilight offered to help Cozy learn the Equestrian language so that she could read and analyze the records she found on her own.
“This will not only be useful for our research, but also for your personal growth,” Twilight explained as they returned to the table to formulate a plan of action.
Cozy Glow, full of determination and interest, agreed: “Thank you, Twilight. I'm ready to learn and learn something new. it's so exciting!"
Their joint efforts promised to be fruitful and exciting. Cozy Glow felt that there were not only many discoveries ahead of her, but also the opportunity to get closer to new friends who could help her understand both the story and herself
