Episode 1: The Crusader and The Vigilante
Three heavily armored trucks were driving down to the docks of Evergreen city. In the truck leading the rest were three people of note. A woman with blond hair and a black leather jacket. In the back of the truck were two soldiers and two strangely dressed men. One had a metal helmet covering his head. He was wearing a red leather t-shirt with leather white cargo pants. The other man had a helmet with a full body suit. The helmet had a black coloring with blue and white lines coming across the helmet and the suit. He had a red visor covering his eyes. The one wearing the metal helmet turned to look at the woman in the front.
"Hey Emilia, what are we doing here again?”
"Chris, what the fuck, you were supost to watch the briefing before we left!”
"Well I was taking care of Egally?”
"Bullshit, Egally was with me!”
"Fuck, okay, I just didn’t watch the briefing. Sorry I was-” the song barbie girl interrupted Chris before he could finished. he looked over to the other strangely dressed man.
"Vig, you kept your phone with you.”
"Yes, hold on, let me answer this.” he pulled out his phone and checked it. “Oh, it's from work, aaaaaand denied”
"Wait, your ring toun is barbie girl,... the fuck!” Emilia Harcourt yelled
"Yes, it's a nice song, right!?” vig said cheerfully
"For a fuckin psycho, your pity fuckin weird”
“‘Pity’” Chris pointed out
"Shut up”
.....
"So what are we doing?” Vig asked
"Okay, there's been reports that aliens have been spotted near the Wayne Warehouse, so we had some agents look into it. The aliens seem to be defending a teleporter that we suspected it might be a way for them to invade.”
"Well that all I needed to hear.” Chris said
"Well as long as you need a excuse.”
"You would kill anything if we tell you to Chase.” Harcourt spat
"Chase who’s chase I don’t know a Chase” vig said feigning confusion
Harcourt rolled her eyes and keep drive. “Hay do you think we can play Tech N9ne?” chase asked
"Dude, why rap music?” Chris asked.
"Why not rap music? It's like the other thing black people gave us besides rock and roll.”
"Pretty sure they gave us a lot more than that.”
"Like what?”
"MK, jazz, New Orleans, a president who I can't remember off the top of my head”
"Who was a weak president” one soldier said
"You can't say that, that's racist!” Chris exclaimed
The soldier in question pulled his sleeve back and showed Chris, his black skin. “I’m sorry I didn’t know” he apologized
"So what about black culture?”
"We’re not talking about it anymore!”
"Yeah but I wan-” chase was interrupted by rap song being blasted in the truck.
Hardcore drove faster down the road, the two trucks behind her trying to match pace. It took two hours to get to the warehouse. Once they did, everyone got out of the truck and stormed the warehouse. Harcourt was the first one to shoot at the aliens, which were bug-like with holes in their legs. She hit one in the head, causing the other to scream and run as the gunshots were fired. Chris was running after the bug-like creature while Chase was going on the crate and fired down at the creatures at the bottom floor. Green Blood splattered on two soldiers who began screaming in pain as the blood burned through their skin.
"Wooh look like we got some Xeromorphs on are hands” chase joked as he fired on more aliens
"What the hell are you talking about, Vig?”
"The aliens they got acid blood” he shot three who were charging him
"Really. shit fuck, I don’t wanta get melted.” Chris put his hatchet back on his holster and took out a custom desert eagle. he fired at the alien who was wrestling a soldier. The bullet pierced its head, making blood rush down its face and melting the soldier’s face.
"Shit.” Chris began firing at the other aliens in the room, hoping no one saw his mistake. Vig hopped down from the crates near the back end, Harcourt and Chris was on their way to him. He threw a knife at one of the creatures. Vig ran over to it and looked at it. He saw that the creatures had genitals. Chris and Harcourt got beside him and looked at the body.
"So they have genders.”
"Yeah, is it bad that she’s kinda cute?”
"Chris!”
"What!?”
Chase tuned them out and looked around the room. He avoided the blood and looked at all the creatures. It was an even split between males and females. He saw something in the corner of his eyes. Vig pulled out his pistol and aimed it at the bug-like alien as it ran away from him. He fired at it, only to miss.
"Well... it's chasing time!” Vig ran after the alien getting Harcourt's and Chris’ attention. The two ran after the alien, making it tossed a couple of crates with a green glow admitting from its head as it did. Vig and Chris jumped off of the Crate. Hardcore made across the warehouse to cut it off. Once the alien was boxed in, the alien had a green light emitted from its head. She teleported out of the group and ran to a portal. The three ran after the creature. It entered the portal as it flickered.
"Shit, come on, we can’t let it get away!” Harcourt entered the portal, Chase and Chris right behind her.
Two hours later
The sun was going down as three fillies were quickly making their way out of the Everfree forest. The one at the front was a disable pegasus filly with a purple mane and an orange coat. She was on a scooter going as quickly as possible, not wanting to get caught in the forest at night. The two other fillies were sitting in a wagon that was connected to the scooter. The pegasus turned her head to the other fillies.
"Hay guys, why did you two come out to the Everfree forest anyway” the orange filly asked angrily
"Scoots, sweetie and I wanted to get are cutie marks in exploring, but you were busy so we didn’t invite you, sorry again,” the yellow filly said in a country accent
"Come on, we're supposed to be friends, and you do this to me, Some friends you two are”
"Scootaloo we are friends but it would be mean to stop a pony because we have to wait for you.”
"Yeah but uhh nevermind look lets just-” Scootaloo ran into a yellow earth pony stallion wearing a strange outfit with an even stranger helmet. They all fell to the ground and began rubbing their sides. The yellow stallion studded up and yelled at the girls.
"Watch where you’re going, your fuckin idiots!” the stallion screamed at the three small ponies. Sweetie Bell cried, Apple Bloom looked down in shame, but Scootaloo just glared that the stallion, a burning fire raging in her.
"You should just shut up and let us go home, you buckin prick,” Scootaloo yelled at the stallion. he stared in silence for a second. He then laughed.
"Ha ha ha ha ‘buckin’ that fuckin hilarious kid, Ha Ha Ha” the stallion said as Scootaloo glared at him.
"Whatever you say, toilet head” Scootaloo spat at him
"It's not a toilet, it’s a beacon of freedom. Take that, Bloodsport!”
Scootaloo was about to say something, but stopped when a big boom rang out around them. The three fillies screamed and looked around. A earth pony stallion and a unicorn mare walked out of the bushes. The other stallion was covered from head to hoof in protective gear. He had a metal object in his hoof. The stallion looked at the fillies, but then reacted when he saw the little orange pegasus.
"Epee, it's a little pegasus.” the masked stallion squealed as he got really close to her.
"Ah uh hi sir uh what are you doing”
"Just seeing if you were hurt”
"Wait, wait, you will kill anyone and hurt them without batting an eye, but a little horse with wings shows up and you fangirl over her.” the mare said
"Hay they are very few things I do have some emotion for, like only four things really”
"What in the hay is going on!” Scootaloo yelled
"Uhm meta human stuff”
Scootaloo rolled her eyes and got up on her scooter “come on Girls, let's get of here”
"Hay uh filly wait, what's the closest town nearby”
"That would be ponyville. Do you need us to show you where it is”
"Yeah, that would be nice.”
The six ponies made their way to ponyville. Once the group got to the edge of town Scootaloo looked at the covered stallion. “So this is ponyville, can we go now” Scootaloo asked nervously looking at the sun going down.
The mare looked at the filly a bit annoyed; she sighed and pointed at the village with her hoof. Taking that as permission, Scootaloo put on her helmet and before taking off she turned to the fully dressed stallion “ cool suit dude” then she took off
Vig squealed as the filly took off. followed by Her friends?, sisters? Behind her. He was smacked in the head by the unicorn mare. “Ow what was that for”
Get your head in the game Chase, we need to find a place to stay.”
What why?!
Because the portal collapsed, and we’re horses, we can’t go back, so the best we can do is find something else now.”
Okay, let's head to the city then”
What city?” Chris and Harcourt asked. Chase pointed to the city on the mounted top in the distance.
What the fuck, thats just hovering there.” Chris stated
The two walked in the village and searched for a transit station. Vigilante saw a stallion wearing golden armor walking to a station in the distance. He slowly approached the stallion and knocked him out. The guard fell down on the ground, Vigilante dragged him into an alley and took the armor from the unconscious guard.
30 min later
Harcourt and Chris were walked down the empty streets. “This place is a fuckin ghost town.” Chris exclaimed
"Chris, shut up” Harcourt said as she kissed him on the check.
A stallion wearing guard armor, he approached the two. A saddlebag on his back and held a spear in his hoof. Harcourt had pulled her pistol from her holster and hid it behind her back. The armor stallion got closer, showing he was a blue earth pony. The stallion got closer to them.
"Harcourt, peacemaker, I found a way to the city.”
"Wait, Vig that you?!”
"Yup I look so cute, right?” Vig said, Harcourt rolling her eyes. Chris looked up to the sky, and saw a curtain bald eagle. Chris whistled and had the bird come down and land on his back.
"Hay Egally, I didn’t think you came with us.”
"Well, I wouldn't let my friend do things all alone, would I.” Egally said
"Holy shit, Egally you can speak!” Chris said in excitement. The other two ponies stared at Chris.
"You okay man” Vigilante said
"What do you mean vig?” Chris or peacemaker asked
"He just made an eagle noise to me”
"What no, you're fuckin with me”
"Doesn't matter, let's just get out of here,” Harcourt told the two. Vigilante took off, leading his two partners to the train station. The three walked into the station. They looked around the station and saw ten ponies. Several had guard armor on them. Peacemaker and Harcourt got behind Vigilante and the three got to the train. A pegasus stallion holding a clipboard while guarding the train. Vigilante was walking onto the train but was stopped by the stallion.
"What are you doing!?” the stallion asked
"I'm going on the train with my friends. We don’t want to stay here any longer than we have to” Vigilante said cheerfully.
The stallion chuckled. “Yeah, no offense to the ponies here, but I like it when my towns are more concrete and make it more fireproof.”
"Why?!”
"Let's just say I like fire, and don't really like the aftermath, or collateral damage.”
"Okay, nice talking with you. Wait, what's your name?”
"Woodfire and yours?”
"Atom Chaser” Peacemaker and Harcourt looked at Vigilante as if he was Bizarro. Vigilante looked at the two of them with a smile
"Well atom nice meeting you.” he said as he wrote the name down. Harcourt was about to bored when she was stopped by woodfire.
"Sorry, but do you have a ticket?” he asked her
"We're both with him sir” Harcourt pointed at atom
Woodfire gave Atom a look. He nodded his head. “Okay ma'am, what's your name”
"Harcourt”
"Hardcore got it” Woodfire wrote it down miss the mare's eye roll. he turned to the stallion with the strange outfit.
"You look like you just came from the cosplay shop”
"Come on asshole I spend hours on this suit”
"Might need to go back to the drawing board.”
"His name is Crystal Showers.” hardcore said wanting to end the pointless back and forth
“‘Crystal Showers’ got it, okay, get in.”
The two got on the train and walked to a seat across from Vigilante. The three watch the other ponies board the train. Peacemaker wrapped his foreleg around hardcore. She put her head on Peacemaker’s body just trying to relax on the train ride. Vigilante stared at the two with longing eyes. He laid down on his seat and took a nap. Three hours later, the train arrived at the hanging city. The three woke up from their slumber and walked off the train.
Peacemaker, Hardcore, and Vigilante walked to the restroom at the far end of the station. “Okay guys, find out as much of this place as possible. Bring maps, newspapers, magazines, anything useful. I’ll find some place we can stay.” Hardcore said
"Got it” both men turned stallions affirmed in unison
In Ponyville
Scootaloo was looking at the letters she had not yet read, all the letters were from the same two ponies, snap shutter and mane allgood, her parents. They never visit her or even write back to her. All they do is send her letters full of bits and few words that boils down to being 'too busy to make time for you'. Scootaloo began crying as red and blue lights came from outside her window. She wiped her tears away and walked to the window to see three police wagons outside her home. She heard a shout from the first floor. Scootaloo ran out of her room and down the stairs. She saw her aunts being pinned down on the floor by police officers.
"Get down on the ground!” one officer yelled at her.
Scootaloo fell to the ground and with tears flowing down her cheeks. An officer came over and placed hoof cuffs on her. The three family members walked out of the two story home followed by a group of police officers. They led Scootaloo to a police cart. She sat down still crying. The cart started to move and an officer sat next to her.
"You okay kid?”
"No, why are you doing this?” she sobbed
"Well why do you think this is happening?”
"I don’t know what did I do?”
"Nothing, little one. On behalf of the police department, Sorry for this.”
"What did my aunts do”
"I don’t know. I was just given an arrest warrant. Don't worry, the commissioner will tell you when things are done. I promise”
"Thank you” Scootaloo thanked him as she lad on the bench.
A day later.
Scootaloo was sitting in a holding cell. It was now seven in the morning. She was sitting next to a pegasus colt with red fur and a black mane. Scootaloo scooted near him. She gave him a look of curiosity. “What did you do?”
"I got into a fight and won the buckin moron pressed charges”
"What were you fighting over?”
"He was insulting my mother.” the colt gained a angry expression
"That dosen’t seem to be something to fight over.”
"She die a year ago so I would say its is somthing.”
"I’m sorry.”
"Whatever.”
"So what's your name?”
"Tech Nine, yours”
"Scootaloo its nice to meet you.”
"Likewise”
An officer and a stallion showed up wearing a brown leather jacket. The cell door opened, Tech stood up and walked to the stallion and hugged him. The stallion hug his son back. Scootaloo smiled sadly at sight when the officer cleared his throat. The three ponies looked at the officer.
“Ms Scootaloo, the commissioner, wants to speak with you.” The officer let Scootaloo walk out of the cell, then he led her to the commissioner's office. The two walked in only to see a royal guard unicorn with a dark gray fur.
"Hello, you must be the foal I’m supposed to take to the orphanage" the royal guard stated
"What?!” scootaloo asked in disbelief
"We haven’t told her yet sergeant idol hooves” the Sargeant let out a defited sigh.
"Oh forgive me” the Sargeant said giving Scootaloo a sad look
"Scootaloo, your aunts were selling drugs here in ponyville when we found out, we took them down.”
"why they allways told me to stay away from that stuff!”
"Well, guess they just never wanted you to find out.”
"Is that why they we're hardly around anyway?” Scootaloo asked under her breath
"I’m sorry for whatever happened, but your cleared and since your parents' unique circumstances, the ponies upstairs think its best for to stay in an orphanage.”
"But ponyville doesn't have any orphanage here”
"The correct the closest one is in Manehattan.” the Sargent stated
"But I have friends here!”
"Well, I’m sorry, but no pony will be able to take care of you.” Scootaloo cried as Sargent Idol hooves led her out. The two walked to ponyville station and saw a Green stallion looking dazed looking around.
"is he okay?” Scootaloo asked
"Most likely, well, let's go ms Scootaloo.”
In Canterlot
Vigilante took off the guard's armor and trotted to Peacemaker as the newly named hardcore put every information they have on Equestra. The country they are currently in. The three focus on four specific articles. “The most crime-ridden city goes to Manehattan’, A royal disaster’, ‘saved again thanks to task force harmony’, ‘newly appointed princess twilight signed an executive order to have schools teach deduction skills’.
“So what we know is four princesses rule the country, one just was crowned a year ago and villages are few and far between.”
"And the best city to fight crime in is Manehattan” vigilante added
"What?!
"Come on, if we're going to live here we have to have bad guys to kill, come on!” vigilante whined
"No! What the fuck is wrong with you chase”
"It's chaser!”
"What the hell are you talking about”
"I don’t know, look I’m going to manehattan and do what I have to do come and find me if you need my help.”
Vigilante walked away. Hardcore rolled her eyes as she gathered the papers and put them in a bag she stole off a yellow pegasus mare with a bug tattoo on her flank. Hardcore and peacemaker started walking to a coffee shop. Peacemaker look at the two story building with confusion.
"Before you ask I saw this in an advertisement, a room and a job."
Peacemaker snorted “you as a buresta ha”
"Actually I signed up for the royal guard and a curtain crystal showers will be.” she knocked on the door
"Fuck” he said before the door opened. A batpony mare opened the door
“Hello you two must be the couple and you must be crystal showers” she said looking at the two
"Yeah, I am” peacemaker nodded as they were ushered into the cafe.
"So I will lead you two to your room. My brother runs the shop, so Crystal talks to him when he wakes up in about 13 hours. I recommend you go to sleep right now so you can be full of energy at night, so any questions?”
Peacemaker raised his hoof. “Yes crystal”
"What's your name?”
"Mothcharser, I’m a royal night guard, so you won't see me too often.”
"Okay”
Idol hooves
The newly appointed sergeant idol hooves was given a task by princess Twilight herself. Idol looked at the filly sitting next to him. He felt the despair the young one felt. He pulled her in closer.
Are you Okay?" Scootaloo asked him
Yes, might I be so bold and ask if you are?"
Yeah it's not like my parents care enough to take me in after my aunts were arrested." Scootaloo spat sarcastically as idol could tell she was emotional. He took a deep breath.
Ms scootaloo, Forgive me for my insensitive questions but I wish to give some advice." Scootaloo stayed silent but looked up expectantly.
A while back, I was kicked out of my home. I had to tread through a desert. I almost didn't make it but a kind mare took me in and helped me." Idol didn't mention the manticore or the band of traders.
I don't get it."
You can be alone and sad, but it's not true. You're going to find someone who will help you like the mare did with me." Scootaloo smile at him.
Two hours later, Scootaloo
You jumped off a bridge just to catch a thief. You are so cool” Scootaloo said with stars in her eyes
I was just doing my duty.” Idol said calmly. The train stopped at the station. “Well it appears it is are time to leave.”
Scootaloo looked down sadly, trying not to cry.”
Don’t worry Ms Scootaloo I’m sure someone good will find you” she smiled as idol hooves tried to reassure her.
The two got to the downtown Manehattan orphanage. Idol, and Scootaloo knocked on the door. After a moment, the door opened and a stallion with a happy smile appeared on his face. Idol looked at the stallion with a raised brow. The stallion stared at Idol with the same confused look on his face. After a moment, the stallion looked down to Scootaloo and gave her a smile.
"Why hello there little filly, what's your name?”
"Scootaloo”
"That's a beautiful name. Why don’t you come inside?"
Excuse me may we speak in private” Idol said with a look on new neutrality on his face.
Scootaloo walked to a painting on the wall. She looked behind her and saw a long bench. She sat down and looked at the painting. It was of a bat flying out of a cave. Scootaloo liked the look of the painting. After a couple of minutes, Idol and the stallion walked out of the office.
"I still wish you had come to me, instead of hayyu”
"I’m sorry mister hooves its just since ‘she’s’ gone we been left to are own devices.”
Idol grimaced at the statement “well I hope things go up for you” he turned to scootaloo and gave her a smile. “Goodbye ms scootaloo I hope this stallion takes real good care of you.”
Idol left as the stallion looked her up and down. She looked at him staring at her flank and immediately felt uneasy.
One month later, Manehattan
It was the morning and Vigilante or Atom Chaser was walking down a hall with a stallion holding a clipboard. A few weeks ago Atom chaser decided to adopt a foal. He had no Idea why he wanted to be a dad but his instincts have never been wrong before. The stallion followed a social worker that had a long mane with a smile on his face.
"I'm so glad a young stallion like you would want to let a foal into your welcoming home."
"Yeah, I just thought it was right."
"Good. So any foal in particular colt, filly, teen, or younger?"
"How about a 10 and older and I would like a filly but I'm not picky."
"Okay and how about subtype?"
"Subtype?!"
"Yes most ponies want a pegasus or unicorn and even a earth pony sometimes so what will it be?”
"A pegasus but it really doesn't matter.”
"Really we got some new foals about a month ago”
Scootaloo
Scootaloo was sitting in one of the 'meeting' room. The room is used for pegasus foals to meet pony who want to adopt them. Scootaloo met so many couples who wanted to adopt a filly, all of them choosing some other foal. The social worker was determined to keep her here. After what the worker did to her, she hoped that she can get out one way or another. The pony that came in was a blue earth pony stallion, followed by the social worker. He walked up to Scootaloo and whispered in her ear.
"I'll make sure you never get adopted, this more my why of playing with you, you'll be all mine forever~”
Anger and sadness welled up inside her. The worker walked out of the room giving the stallion a smile. Scootaloo sat down on the couch. The stallion approached and to her surprise, sat next to her. Scootaloo moved away from the stallion not wanting to take any chances.
‘She looks familiar’ atom thought as he looked at her. He noticed that her body language was strange. He had to made it a point to learn pony body language when he made a few mistakes a couple days ago.
"Is something wrong?” he asked the filly
Scootaloo's eyes widened as the stallion asked. “Nothing, it's just I’m umh nervous”
"Well thats a lie. What happen, did someone hurt you?” he asked in a more worried toun
Scootaloo didn’t know what to say she. She started to cry and begain to feel ashamed. This stallion is going to laugh at her. Atom hugged her try his best to comfort her. Scootaloo was shocked at this.
"What's your name kid?"
"Scootaloo" she didn't know why she answered, but just let it happen. His fur was damp with tears, Scootaloo tears fell on to the stallion.
"What happened Scootaloo?”
"The stallion that works here. he-he made me do thing, I didn’t want to-I” she started sobbing even hard. He hugged Scootaloo and comforted her.
"Scootaloo I’m going to make sure that I became your dad then I’m going to come back to get you and make sure that bad pony doesn't hurt anyone anymore.”
Scootaloo dare to hope but she had to be sure “how do I know your not lying to me?” atom pulled out a small plastic and glass object.
"This is a called a phone, call it an early welcome home gift.” he said with a smurk. Scootaloo gave a weak smile to the stallion. After an hour, he walked out of the door, leaving Scootaloo alone with the new device.
10pm
Scootaloo was flipping through the phone options. she then heard hoof steps come from the hall, she placed the phone under her pillow. The Social worker walked in wearing an angry expression on his face. Scootaloo began to hyperventilate as he slowly approached the bed she was sitting, savoring her panicked wimpers that escapted her. He pounced on the bed like a predator pinning his pray. Tears started to fall down scootaloo’s face.
"Whatever you did that stallion let without adopting a single foal. What did you say to him!?” he growled at her
"Please leave me alone, please” she sob
"What did you do?!” he got on top of her and put his hoof on her neck. “Your a bad filly and bad fillies get punished!” his other hoof went to her nether regions. She tried to thrash about to get him off of her but, he was too big and stronger then her. He slapped hard across the face with a damp hoof her to stop her from moving.
"Bad, bad girl.”
Bad boy” the worker’s eyes widened. Scootaloo smiled as she recognized the voice. The work had a forleg wrapped around his throat. His eyes turned to pinpricks as he was thrown across the room and into the wall. Scootaloo jumped off the bed and hugged her savior's legs. Atom needle down and booped her on the muzzle. She giggled as if what happened never had.
"Now Scootaloo grab the phone and wait outside the room. I’ll finish up here.” he said with a smile.
"O-Okay” Scootaloo went to her bed and took the phone from underneath the pillow. She walked out of the room and waited outside.
"Atom approached the stallion on the growned with a smile on his face. “It wasn’t what it looks like I was just-"
"Trying to rape my little girl” Atom said with a deranged smile on his face
"What but you didn’t-"
"I did it at the town hall. It is illegal to do what you did, and well I want to show you how I deal with rapeist” atom pulled out a suppressed pistol and put three rounds into the other stallion
"Get what you deserve." Atom said with a bright smile. He walked out of the room placing the pistol in his saddle bags. Scootaloo looked up at him was small smile on her face. He grabbed her by the scuff of her neck, and placed her on his back.
"Come on scootaloo, lets go home."
