Chapter 7: The Party Part 2

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Everypony at the welcoming party was having fun, including Green Amaranth, who was currently hanging out with Pinkie Pie while feeding some carrot sticks to Carrie. The party pony wanted to make sure he had a great time at the party.

“This is one great welcome party, Pinkie. The food’s pretty good too,” complimented the zombie pony. Even if his taste buds could only somewhat taste the food.

The party pony smiled. “Glad you like the party, G.A.! If you loved this, then just wait until we celebrate your birthday,” said Pinkie Pie. The party pony then made a face that was a mixture between curious and excited. “Speaking of which, when is it?”

Luckily, the zombie pony made his OC’s birthday the same day as his. “April…” said Green Amaranth. The rest he had whispered in the party pony’s ear.

She gasped. “That’s a month before my birthday! Ooh, I can’t wait to celebrate your birthday here in Ponyville!” exclaimed Pinkie Pie. “It’ll have cake, and balloons, and even a pinata!”

The zombie pony was impressed as all of that did in fact sound amazing to him. But, there was a part of him that felt sad since he wouldn’t be able to age. The two then noticed Rarity, who was joined by Fluttershy, trotted up to them. They had arrived at some point prior to Pinkie excitedly talking about the party.

She giggled. “Planning another party already, Pinkie? Shouldn’t you focus on this one first?” asked the fashion pony.

The party pony nodded. “Yeah, but this one is a birthday party for G.A. It’s in April!” she informed. “It’ll be his very first Ponyville birthday party!”

The shy pony had then looked over at Green Amaranth for a few seconds before becoming curious.

“G.A., can you tell me how old are you? I-It’s okay if you don’t have to answer,” she asked. “I was just wondering.”

He shrugged. “It’s okay since I’m not keeping my age private. I’m 18,” the zombie pony informed.

Fluttershy and Rarity were both surprised.

“Eighteen?! Darling, from the way you look, you look like an adult!” said the fashion pony. “I mean, you are one since you’re eighteen, but still. You look like you’re either in your 20s or 30s.”

The shy pony nodded in agreement.

Green Amaranth chuckled. “Well, you are right about that. After all, there are some ponies who may look old, but they’re actually younger than they look, and for those who look young are actually older than they look,” he informed.

Rarity giggled. “You’re right about that, darling. I know some ponies who are either younger or older than they look,” she agreed.

Fluttershy agreed with both of them. “Me too,” she said.

They continued talking about different topics, but then the shy pony wanted to ask the zombie pony something.

Fluttershy looked slightly down at the floor. “U-Um, G.A.? I was wondering if you wanted to dance with me?” she asked. “I’m okay if you don’t want to.”

He thought about it. “Well, I need to talk to the Cakes, help out Apple Bloom in the Kitchen, and then hang out with my friends,” Green Amaranth listed. The zombie pony then smiled. “So, sure. I can dance with you after I help out Apple Bloom with something, but before I hang out with my friends.”

The shy pony smiled. Fluttershy was willing to wait.

The fashion pony smirked as she had a feeling on what Apple Bloom needed help with. “Let me guess, you want to help her earn her Cutie Mark just like you did with my little sister and Scootaloo?” asked Rarity.

The shy pony was confused as she didn’t know that the two fillies had earned their Cutie Marks.

He slightly grinned. “I’m guessing Sweetie Belle told you, huh?” asked the zombie pony.

She smiled. “She came running into my Boutique, telling me about how Scootaloo had earned her Cutie Mark in scooter tricks thanks to you. I knew it was only a matter of time before you were going to help Apple Bloom earn hers,” informed the fashion pony.

Before Green Amaranth could say anything, Pinkie Pie interrupted him, wanting to inform the three of some exciting news.

“And once Apple Bloom gets her Cutie Mark, I’ll hold a cute-ceañera for the three of them with tons of ponies being there tomorrow! Yippee!” she shouted, excited. The party pony had bounced into the air. Pinkie Pie then looked at the zombie pony. “You’re invited too, G.A. since you helped them.”

Green Amaranth smiled. “Thanks, Pinkie. Me and Carrie will definitely be there to celebrate,” he said. “Wouldn’t miss it.”

They talked for a little while longer since the two weren’t really in a rush.

Few Minutes Later

After finishing their talk with Rarity and Fluttershy, the zombie pony and the party pony went to the counter where the married couple were standing behind. He wanted to make a good impression, but because of his and Carrie’s vibes, plus his smell, as soon as they approached them, Mr. and Mrs. Cake had ended up scared. So, Green Amaranth and the zombie bunny were hanging out with the CMC while Pinkie Pie talked to the married couple.

“Mr. and Mrs. Cake, I was wondering if Green Amaranth and Carrie could live in the Bakery’s Basement until they had enough Bits to buy a place of their own?” asked the party pony.

Pinkie Pie saw them look hesitant.

“I know that there’s only a few more months until the babies arrive, but they really need a home. I can’t let them sleep out in the forest,” she continued. The party pony put on the sad eyes. “Pleeeeeeeeease?”

Mr. and Mrs. Cake looked at each other for a few seconds before looking at Pinkie Pie.

“Pinkie, have you asked your friends if those two could stay over at their houses?” asked the wife.

She nodded, fast. “Twilight asked him, but G.A. had his own reasons for each of them. That leaves the Bakery as his only option left,” the party pony informed. “They won’t be in the way. I promise.”

The married couple thought about it before sighing.

“Fine. They can stay-” said the husband.

Pinkie Pie jumped up into the air, happy. “Yippee!” she cheered.

“-Just until they find their own place to live,” he continued.

The party pony landed on the floor. “Okay!” she said.

Pinkie Pie ran over to where the zombie pony and Carrie was. He was telling the fillies about one of his special talents, Molecular Gastronomy, but in a way they could understand it so that there’d not be any confusion.

“Hey, Pinkie. What did they say?” asked Green Amaranth, worried.

She was smiling. “They said yes! You get to move in with us!” the party pony cheered.

He smiled, relieved. “That’s great news. Now we can go to the kitchen so we can help Apple Bloom get her Cutie Mark,” informed the zombie pony.

Apple Bloom was excited. She’d finally be able to have a Cutie Mark like her friends. “Really?!” asked the filly.

Green Amaranth nodded, causing Apple Bloom to cheer.

“What are we gonna do? Baking?” she asked.

“I want to see if you can do a simple recipe involving Molecular Gastronomy. Luckily, I have all the stuff needed for the recipe,” he informed. “Including the fruits I asked you to bring to the bakery. Where did you put them?”

“I left them there in the kitchen after askin' Mr. and Mrs. Cake if I could since it involves me earnin' my Cutie Mark. They let me do it, but in return I have to clean up my messes,” explained Apple Bloom.

The zombie pony clapped his hooves. “Great. Let’s head for the kitchen right away and get started on the preparation,” instructed Green Amaranth.

They all headed on their way to the kitchen.

Author's Note

For those of you who don't know, G.A. is 18 like his character profile says. But as a human back on Earth, he was 19.

That's right. Mrs. Cake has a few months left until she gives birth to the Cake Twins, which means that G.A. arrived somewhere in Season 2, but he doesn't know that, yet.
