Chapter 6 - Send in the Clones, Part 2; Leaving the Nest

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Present Day,
The Terran Galaxy:

Elder Smart Mouth sat in his quarters, watching the daily broadcast. He was called "Elder" by his caravan, but he looked young. It actually be easy to mistake him for a child. At least at first glance.

On careful inspection, one could see his broadened shoulders, and the strong features that only came with adulthood. Then there were his eyes. They were ancient eyes, older then the Galaxy itself. Which wasn't hard, with this Galaxy.

He was part of the "Misfits" caravan, traveling in a more limited TARDIS, as wandering adventurers. Accompanied only by his closest friends, and their families. Oh he had a few of his own descendants, living here as well, but they tended to treat him with a bit more reverence then he prefered.

"Honorable Demon-Born," that was just one of his titles, though favored by the Clone who spoke it.

The boy... no, he wasn't a boy anymore. He was a grown Stallion.

He was even a good deal taller then Smart Mouth. Well... at least he was while channeling his chaos magic.

Equuleus were creatures of both Harmony and Chaos. With their 3 main transformations (Pony, Humanoid, and Anthro) coming from their Harmony magic.

However, they also had "Chaos Forms", which acted like a combination of Kaio-ken and Super Saiyan (Both from Dragon Ball Z).

These transformation increased their Strength, Speed, Senses, Durability, Chakra Production (giving them a greater power level), and even letting them think quicker. Being able to increase their abilities in small increments, to up to 1000% of their normal limits. With their body becoming more strained, with the more chaos they channelled.

Channeling their Chaos magic, triggered a slight physical transformation as well. Although what those changes are varies from person to person. They are channeling chaos, after all, so it won't be universal, although the changes will usually stay consistent for the individual.

Some Equuleus grow taller. Where others have their fur darken, or brighten, or even pale. Most gain a visible aura, but even that isn't always true. Some have their fur temporarily lengthen.

While it is difficult, some Equuleus have learned how to channel chaos into them, permanently. Allowing them to temporarily withstand even higher levels. while maintaining the Lower levels with relative ease.

Most of his clones had learned how to do this. Although it was more so they could look different, then channel the power that came with it.

The clone before him, looked far more majestic then Smart Mouth... partly because they were constantly channeling their "Chaos Form", which came out in different ways, even among the clones.

Although all their base forms all looked alike, their obvious differences through their chaos forms, cemented their unique souls.

Lunar Vulponies had an Additional form, Called "Super Necro" which channelled their Necromancy magics, to it's extreme.

Smart'tholomew was currently the size of a great dane, while in pony form. Even if his base form was no bigger then a fox. While his humanoid, and Anthro, base forms stood at a mere 3 foot 5, like most Lunar Vulponies.

He had a bright white coat, natural orange highlights all over his body, and an orange face over his white muzzle... looking much like an orange Domino mask.

The bones of his white wings were orange. As were his paws and hooves. With black pads, nose, and mane.

Each of his eyes were a crystal blue, with large green flecks. As all Lunars had two toned eyes.

Everything about him screamed "Look how regal I am!!!" with him unfortunately behaving like the noble he was.

"Look at you," Smart Mouth smiled at his clone... his son. "It seems like only yesterday you were playing in the Garden."

The majestic Colt Kit, gave a not so majestic blush.

"Yeah, it's pretty nuts." Entered a black and orange clone, just as tall as his brother... and looking just as regal. His color patterns were even largely the same, except the white was replaced with black.

Although his name didn't exactly match, being called "Fluff Butt" and all. He also had a bit of an attitude problem, from hanging out with Dilbert too much.

Unlike his brother, this foxy pony wore a cocky grin. Although the natural position of his eyes, made it look like he was glaring at everything.

"You were told to wait outside," Eyed the white one.

"You realize, We're the same rank." Now the black one gave a true glare. Looking far more intimating then his brother.

"Children," The oldest gave a sigh. "I chose you as my primary Assistants, because of your maturity and level headedness."

Both Colt Kits blushed, and looked down at the ground, guiltily.

Like all ponies, Lunar Vulponies had fairly immature personalities. They tended to act more like over excitable canines. They had the emotional range of dogs, despite normally having IQs of 2000.

Their limited emotional range, made it so gods of death had rules about not sending "bad" ponies, into hell dimensions. As for Ponies, even the bad apples were far too innocent to truly understand any wrongs they did.

"Smart'tholomew," Smart Mouth looked to the white one. "Seeing as, unlike Fluffy," nodding briefly at the black one... with a refusal to call him "Butt".

Smart Mouth continued, "You don't often see me just to chat, I take it you had a reason to enter my quarters."

Smart'tholomew blushed even deeper, realizing he was being indirectly scolded for not visiting as much as he should. The Demon-Born was basically the father of their entire race... and he tended to act like it.

Regardless, Smart'tholomew managed to deliver his message. "Just wanted to tell you, The Doctor is here to see you."

Smart Mouth blinked, "Send him in."

"Already here!" A brown Stallion, with an hour glass cutie mark, stepped into the room. Having obviously waited just out of sight, behind the door.

The ancient colt kit... still felt like a foal, whenever around his soul father. As seen by his exclamation of "Dad!"

The Doctor smiled, eagerly trotting over, and giving his boy a quick nuzzle.

Smart Mouth wasn't particularly shocked, The Doctor could get into the "Wannabe TARDIS", given he's done this many times before... and each time, upsetting the security officers, at how he can walk passed the wards with no-one noticing.

"Now," The Doctor suddenly got a stern expression, once he pulled away. "Derpy pointed something out to me, and I quite agree."

Smart Mouth's ears pinned, seeing he was in for his own scolding.

"You're little clan is becoming much too clan-ish," Informed the Doctor. "When was the last time you just went out? Got a pizza? Well I'll tell you. Much too long ago. You spend all your time in this box!"

"We still save people!" Smart Mouth insisted.

"Then get right back in your box and saunter off," The Doctor dismissed. "You don't wander other planets. Don't see the sights. It's just save the occasional civilization, and that's it. You need to experience life! Roller blading, swimming, going on a date! You used to do all these things."

Smart Mouth sighed. After 100 Cycles, trapped in the Terran Galaxy... with governments they didn't particularly like... it just became less important to see a developing culture... when he didn't like how it was developing.

"I know the Terran Empire isn't exactly the..." The Doctor tried to find the words. "Most benevolent towards non-humans, but you are overlooking the little people that live inside it. Most of them don't care for their government's 'Humanoid first' agenda. But you're missing that, trapped in this box!

"You think I spent all that time saving Earth, because I liked human politics?"

Smart Mouth blushed, then sighed. "No Sir..."

"It's the people!" The Doctor insisted. "The wonderful, stupid, passionate, cruel, kindest people you'll ever meet! Just PEOPLE!!! Good old people. You can't just board yourself away."

"Yes Sir," Smart Mouth automatically agreed... in a voice that said he didn't agree at all, but would be an obedient child.

The Doctor nodded, "Luckily, I have a plan. I want you to send out your Necro Clones."

Smart Mouth blinked. As did the present clones

"Give them each an expandable trunk, filled with Time Pony resources," The Doctor was quick to say. "Then send them out into the Galaxy. To explore, and experience life. Maybe pick up a crew. Or reunite with old friends. Just SOMETHING!!!" The Doctor cheered. "Let them be magnificent... on their own. I'd say it's about time they left the nest. And you can still act as a safety net, with this TARDIS, and your hive mind, it should be easy."

Smart Mouth gulped, "Sure... easy..."
