Spike Drake has started his sophomore year at Dreadmire Academy, school of monsters, by monsters, for monsters. Jack Volgaroth was locked up in Wunderheim Asylum and there were no problems. Besides, things start happening a bit too close to home for the moment. His parents are becoming increasingly curious about Spike's school and friends, the Order of Artemis are increasing their efforts of monster eradication, and Rumble gets a letter from his older brother Thunderlane.

Jack Volgaroth has been making himself busy in Wunderheim. He goes to therapy and does everything the doctor tells him, but it's all just a way of keeping them unassuming. Jack has been meeting with some of the more infamous patients and building a following. All he needs to do now is use his pieces wisely.
