From Beyond The Infinite

Anon lands on the ground in front of the pond that had been present for the entirety of the time he had spent with Rainbow and sits in front of the large pond contemplating "I have fallen in love before but..." Anon looks around to make sure he was alone lest someone thought he was crazy for talking to himself

"I wonder if she feels the same way about me, I mean she spends so much time with me anyway right?" Anon sits still gazing at the water before finding a rock to through in it, disrupting the reflection of the stars above

"Just the thought of asking any of my friends or family to help with this matter churns my stomach, I mean what would I say 'Hey guys I'm in love with a talking colorful Pegasus you wouldn't have any pointers would ya?' " Anon pauses to take a deep inhale and exhales with the same force

Anon looks at the night sky before starting again "Relax man, you got this, even though you really didn't have any luck with the ladies doesn't mean anything now, sure you're shy but when it comes to girls but with Rainbow... She's different, I feel comfortable around her, well, before my heart was jumping out of my chest haha" Anon feels a little silly that he laughed at his own joke

Just then Anon heard rustling from behind him and quickly turned around to find a certain small orange Pegasus with a purple mane "Scootaloo is that you? Why are you out so late?"

"oh Anon hey umm.. I come out here sometimes heh"

"Well still you shouldn't be out here so late" Anon clears his throught and realizes she might of heard him in his ramblings to himself "Sooo... how long have you been here? or did you just get here?" Anon is sweating

Scootaloo spots the sweat on Anon's forehead and perks up a little "I'm not sure but it sounded something like Rainbow being different and you being comfortable with her or something like that"

Anon turns back around and puts his head down for a moment in shame and lets out a small huff then stares intently at the pond once more. He looks back and gives Scootaloo a reassuring smile and pats the ground next to him. Scootaloo sits beside him

"Anon... you're really fond of Rainbow Dash, aren't you?"

"Yeah... I am, I uhh really like her"

"Ohhhh so you like like her am I right?"

"Yeah I uhh I do"

"You know I'm a love doctor right I can make another one those love potions and--"

"NO, you're cool, don't do that I already heard the story haha" Anon and Scootaloo let out a playful giggle "Scootaloo did you sneak out?"

Scootaloo hesitated

"You did didn't you..."

"Yes... please don't tell my parants"

"I'll tell you what, let's make a deal, I won't tell your parant's that you snuck out if you don't anypony and I mean ANYPONY about me like liking Rainbow Dash, sounds cool?"

Scootaloo puts a hoof on her chin as if to think about it then chuckles a bit for the reaction Anon gave her for even thinking about "you've got yourself a deal"

Both of them take a moment to indulge in the sounds of the night and stare at the stars before Scootaloo starts again "I like Dash too you know, maybe not in the way you do but I do look up to her as a big sis"

"Yeah she is pretty amazing isn't she?"

"Of course she is the awesomest pony around, I'm trying to grow up to be like her, flying around at super sonic speeds and doing crazy stuff... helping ponies all over the world"

"Well... what's stopping you?"

Scootaloo looks at her tiny wings "I overhear my parents sometimes talking about my, disability"

Anon takes a look at her wings then back at her "a disability just means you're playing life on hard mode, obsticles are oppritunities to rise above and prevail, challenges are difficult but if you learn to smile in the face of adversity you will truly be unstoppable"

Scootaloo's expression changed from somber to that of wonder. Anon stands up and gestures Scootaloo to stand as well

"Check this out" Anon kneels then jumps with force enough to blast into the sky, While in the sky he grabs a cloud and brings it down to the ground with him and lands right in front of Scootaloo

"Whoa"

"I know right! I couldn't do that where I come from and look" Anon shows his back to Scootaloo "No wings what so ever" Anon turns back around and breaks apart the cloud into smaller pieces of itself and arranges them in the air in front of Scootaloo "So because I don't have wings I have to fly using what I do have, my legs and arms, I'm a martial artist so I'm capable of using my own energy and the energy around me to enhance my strength. This way I have lift off"

"That is SUPER COOL!!! wait, how do you maneuver?"

"That's why I broke apart these clouds" Anon points to clouds and explains "Since I don't have wings I have to kick in mid air to change direction, one way to do that is to use these clouds as a platform to jump off of and if there's any in you're way you could just-" Anon juts a fist through one of the clouds "Go right through it, not a different terrain for a strong pegasus like you huh"

"That. Sounds. AMAZING! But wait how am I gonna get way up there?"

"Well it is gonna take practice but I can at least teach you the basics of energy control"

For the next couple hours Anon teaches Scootaloo how to focus and feel the energy around her to amplify the output of power in her legs. Before long she jumps higher than Anon's height as he promptly catches her noticing that she was about to fall face first

"Whoa now" He sets down the filly "Hey you're getting good at this. keep this up and you'll end up being fastest one day"

"OH YEAH!" Scootaloo jumps into Anon's arms with enough force to make him stumble backward a little "Thank you Anon I'll do my best" Scootaloo gives Anon a smile that could rival Pinkie Pie's

He sets her down after sharing a chuckle with her "Hey no problem I believe anything is possible. anything" Anon kneels in front of Scootaloo and points to her wings "It's not the wings that have the power to make you fly" then her points at her chest "It's the Heart" Anon stands back up and shakes his head then places his hands on his face speacking into them "God that was so CHEESY!!"

"But you're right"

Anon smiles with confidence "I am aren't I haha" Anon pauses for a brief moment to look at the moon "C'mon let me get ya home, I'm sure Princess Luna will be upset if she finds out you're missing sleep"

"Hey what about you?"

They both start walking towards ponyville "Adults can stay up late at night, plus I didn't sneak out"

"Won't happen again"

"Good, meet me here every Saturday at noon, I'll help you fly"
